“A release is 7 days or less away or has just happened within the last 7 days…
These are the only two states you’ll find the world of Tyria.”
If you are getting one shot as a guardian in open world PvE, you are doing something wrong. Most likely you have not updated your gear (costs 5-15s)
If you want to just level running around the open world and worry about finding people, guest on Tarnished Coast or Jade Quarry.
Sounds like a good idea (should be in suggestions).
They should give the same reward they gave from GW1 for vanquishing.
That would be nice and I do expect them.
I’d be surprised if they weren’t with the patch.
If mechanics were preserved between the two games then GW2 characters would win. Bleed stacks would overwhelm monk healing abilities and would destroy a 55 monk build as it would tick off as damage rather than degen. Get quick bleed stacks okitten5 monk faster than they can remove them and they are dead in a couple seconds.
This. 15 stacks of bleed from would pretty much kill anything from GW1.
And at the rate that conditions can be reapplied…yea.
It would be interesting seeing a shadow form build or pain inverter used.
It appears that it’s time for:
Those three things will make A LOT of the “problems” in this thread go away.
The first 20ish posts fail at reading comprehension.
The changes look good, but I’ll wait to see the implemented.
That’s a misleading title, lol.
Some copyright autodetector filed false claims based on a GW2 update. The software is stupid.

Being chased down by 3 people in WvW, about to die on a cliff…
Used Fear Me.
THE LULZ
It’s a bug. That’s all.
I hate this question so much.
I don’t pay subs for anything. Period. The game could be a 10/10 in my book, but on principle, I will NEVER pay for a subscription fee.
Because the gameplay is vastly different for each class. I just enjoy approaching the different aspects of the game through different playstyles.
Definitely.
Playstyles differ vastly between classes.
However, time gated ascended gear is not very alt friendly at all. If you don’t mind the stat difference in WvW, it’s not that big of a deal. If you DO mind the stat difference in WvW, it’s quite the problem.
It’s harder to give the bosses mobility than the “trash mobs”.
Add the some of the new Veteran Kraits to the Tequatal battle and see how quickly people switch their tunes.
You want people mobile during boss events? Make them focus on both the boss AND quick spawning roaming veterans. Of course after that, people will say that the events are too hard and don’t justify “trash rares” (yes, I heard trash rare yesterday)
I think a big part of this feeling of missing wilderness if the convenient waypoint system. Waypoints are never too far apart so that you always have a feeling of safety no matter where you go. The game would feel more dangerous and wilder if there was only one waypoint per zone.
I wouldn’t say ONE waypoint per zone, but southsun cove’s 6 waypoints in a very dangerous area is a step towards your vision.
The issue with southsun is that it needs many more events and I believe that will come after April. However, the result is that it will be much more populated.
Perhaps traversing an area in the Mists or Ring of Fire Islands is in order
- Orr
- Lornar’s Pass
- Sparkfly Fen
- Mount Maelstrom
- Fireheart Rise
- Blazeridge Steppes
- Frostgorge Sound
Those are places off the top of my head where I can think of places without a town/outpost in site in a 360 view from an elevation of at least 100 feet.
Also, there are only 6 cities in GW2.
Not the same feeling at all. There are still outposts in all of those areas, you know the Krytan Design that seems to be everywhere around these parts?
Lornar’s Pass, Mount Maelstrom, Fireheart Rise and Frostgorge sound has this to some extent, but if you’ve played, say, GW1 you would know how that feeling of being in a place that not many have set foot on is.When I think about the Crystal Desert in Guild Wars 1 (just as an example) there was a feeling of absolute solitude, the atmosphere and everything just really screamed this at you.
- I think that maybe these outposts needs to be further apart, or that some areas should have only one outpost.
Right now it feels like “Everything has been explored, we have to keep the roads safe”.
- Can you relate to that, or is that just me being waaaay to picky about this?
I think that such areas would look beautiful and feel pretty awesome in GW2.
I’m a Gwamm from GW1.
The the Crystal Desert, the Ring of Fire Islands, and the Realm of Torment are the only large areas I can think of off the top of my head that had no sorts of outposts once you entered the instanced area.
However, I think I understand what you are getting at.
Southsun cove, perhaps. But refugees should be heading there shortly.
Those are places off the top of my head where I can think of places without a town/outpost in site in a 360 view from an elevation of at least 100 feet.

A guild calender should definitely be considered.
I can almost guaruntee that there will be something done for April Fools.
There may be another spring event for Easter, but I have no clue. (50% MF Bunny Eggs? Yes please).
While I would be in favor of being able to store a few dailies (3 maximum), they are supposed to incentivize daily play.
I don’t like that stats are behind time gates, but dailies are meant to be done…daily.
And even though I don’t like ascended gear, you’re fine doing the majority of game content without it.
Guilds need to know which members are active and members need to have consequences for not being active.
Now, I think this is the reason there isn’t last login feature, people would use it with the same hostility as demonstrated here.
Hostility??? What did I say that was hostile?
If someone wants to go on vacation, they usually let their guild leader or officer know.
If a person decides to go away for months and months, they are no longer in the guild and are taking up space that potential members could have.
Let the guild officers what they decide is an active member (log-in every 3 days, week, two weeks, etc.) But give them that tool. It was in GW1, it’s in MOST MMOs, and it’s really not that controversial to know who is still playing in your guild.
Last log-in feature is needed even before guild housing and, imo, an in-game lfg.
Guilds need to know which members are active and members need to have consequences for not being active.
We need the last log in feature asap.
This isn’t a suggestion.
This is absolutely necessary.
As much as I want guild housing and player housing, this feature needs to be a priority.
Either a guild has a lot of influence and is being frivolous…
Or a VERY kitten off officer just screwed their guild
Purchase a riding broom.
The biggest problem with the warrior is the misleading nature of Hundred Blades which only hits 9 times.
It should hit 100 times.
I don’t see why precursors dropping from the Living Story and the precursors from the scavenger hunt would have to be mutually exclusive.
I’m not expecting precursors to drop. However, it would be nice to have them drop at the end of each story arc.
With all the mistakes made, imbalance, and questionable priorities, I would still have to agree.
I prefer this game to any other at the moment.
Rather than increasing trait points, I think they should increase the viability of the current traits.
I would wager that less than half of them are ever seriously considered.
Engineer, elementalist, or guardian.
I prefer my warrior myself. Easy to learn; difficult to perfect.
In general, I think the ranger needs to be buffed to the point of being overpowered and then scaled back.
Right now, I can count on one hand the amount of decent rangers I have encountered in 1k+ hours of PvE and WvW.
I would play an underwater PvP if it was objective based with everyone utilizing the same bar (kegbrawl underwater…aka BLITZBALL)
However, the current underwater combat is incredibly imbalanced at the moment.
Cooking is continuously used for omnoms and special consumables to improve damage.
Because they didn’t actually test or optimize the game at all before it was released, and they didn’t listen to ANYONE during the beta tests (obviously)
Culling, lag in groups, etc. was reported since day 1.
2.) Go find me a game that has no bugs and no crashes
Checkers.
Check and mate.
(I choose minesweeper if you want a computer game)
Where are the minigames. For serious, I’ve waited 7 months for all the ones promised prior to launch.
First, you should elaborate.
Second, this is a suggestion.
Holy crap, I didn’t expect this thread to still be here, lol.
This was a joke thread, peeps. Yea, I don’t like the guy’s color pallette, but of course we have our own tastes…
I think someone implied I was a racist in one of the posts? Geez…
Add retaliation and confusion on hit.
Dang, it feels good to be a gangsta
See attachment. Nuff said.
I love my hoodie and gloves.
100b>Cyclone Axe>Dual Strike>100b>Autoattack>100b>Autoattack>
100b>Cyclone Axe>Dual Strike>100b>Autoattack>100b>Autoattack>
etc…but really, you don’t need to be worried about that. I personally don’t do speed farm groups, but i think that’s how u maintain your dps.
This only works if u have 5sec weapon swap.
Make it lore friendly and a one time accountwide item and I think it would be interesting.
Here’s mine:
You were on Darkhaven, retaking a camp all by yourself.
I was hiding in the mill, waiting for the right time to strike.
You left so soon after our encounter. I hope we see each other again.

Don’t kid yourself guys. In the context of dungeons as discussed here, Guild WARS 2 only need one thing – dps. Support build, healing build, all those nonsense has no place in a dungeon in gw2.
edited to add that, if you bring a support, healing or one of those nonsensical build into my team you’re getting kicked. no offence.
And there you have it,the dungeon community in a nutshell.
I’m play a lot of dungeons, but unless it’s CoF path 1, this guy doesn’t speak for me. He sure as hell doesn’t speak for my guild.
I have a feeling he runs CoF path 1 a lot…
I run DPS War with shout buffs and soldier runes for party wide condition removal…so yea, I support.
I like the dungeons. I find them challenging. I also find that, like most challenges, they are hard at first yet easy once you figure them out. Just like jumping puzzles.
I know they are doable b/c my gf (who played the SIMS prior to this) can handle them with instruction from me.
If you don’t like them, that’s fine. However, there are very few encounters that I would deem “unfair” after seeing them 2 or 3 times. If they are not worth your time, then don’t do them. I sure as hell enjoy them and hope they add more now that they have a handle on encounter creation.
I find that parties with more than 1 ranger tend to have much less DPS. Not your fault, my ranger brethren
I do love seeing an awesome guardian, ele, or thief in a dungeon.
Just thought I’d share my dungeon run setup:
Daily (takes <2 hours)
Extra (takes about 3 hours. mostly on weekends)
It would surely be fantastic if we had a Festival Hat and Costume NPC, or something, like we had in GW(1). Perhaps, if enough people express an interest in something along these lines, we will get a way to store town clothes items efficiently.

I really am surprised at what was left out sometimes. It doesn’t make sense.
