maybe add a new special " insignia" slot in the weapon.
Lets call it enchantment.
my dagger has bloodlust insignia and a “phantom” enchantment. it allows my daggers to be slightly transparent during the night, and 50% on crit it has a chance to summon a ghostly dagger that floats around like a mesmer phantasm and hits the target that got crited for 2 time before dissapearing
i dont have a legendary.
What keeps me coming back in the game is :
-fun
-guild
-new mesmer im leveling and loving it
-new pvp reward tracks
+++working on a legendary
——-TP buy/sale lists
——-dungeons
——-tequatl and other bosses, i just like checking my app and doing world bosses
——-when not doing bosses i do jp, still fun for me
-trying to get all the “temporary” rewards, such as wintersday 2014 grawl-bloodstone food scavenger hunt, the star that gives gifts and the personal instanced xmass tree nod…
-Helping guildies out, specially new players that somehow keep showing up in the guild (and i thought the forums were saying the game is dying out and everyone is leaving?)
much much more
what about mawdrey? or the toxin back piece?
or those dry top insect weapon sets
what about carapace and lumi armor sets? (that are diferent for all 3 types of armor rather than having the same skin with different labels on them light-medium-heavy)?
well….what will you guys do if the expansion doesnt come in 2015? i am sure that arenanet realized by now that they NEED an expansion in order for the game to progress in a grand scale. not only that, but the constant pressure being put on them by players, credible websites, popular sites, etc.
back on topic..
I will still continue to play as usual, as theres still a lot of fun things for me to do in gw2
so before i rush to get a minstrel focus id like to know about other peoples legendary mesmer weapons?
What weapon do people mostly have equipped?
Personally i see my self using sword/focus while leveling and in wvw a lot.
Has evade, root, zerg wide swiftness and a anti-projectile phantom.
i use torch when i wanna quick stealth to chain with decoy when i wish to grab a JP end chest guarded by a big scary mob.
I use gs and staff mostly for pvp, sometimes i use scepter pistol to have some burst damage before i switch to sword/focus.
so yeah, im looking for some oppinions about what weapons do you mostly use and in what kind of builds as mesmers.
Mine seems to be a focus (tho im still only a lv 40 mesmer so what do i know what waits me in dungeons and fractals)
well personal story line wouldnt be affected at all since it is happening in “a different timeline”
Thats why you see brimstone in char personal story, and why you see the pact talking about zaitan even if you havent actually killed him with your character (or at all)
But yeah… As for the inquest….im not sure if its correct but arent they evil because they are going for “we are the superior race and shall rule the world” kind of thing?
also..i think i read somewhere that that idea was actually the original idea asura had in mind when they came to the surface in gw1? (again , im not sure if this is 100% correct…i know i heard of all that somewhere but it might just be speculation or theories i heard)
we know history is repeating it self with the raise of the dragons (and the fall/sleep of them). they wake up, feed and go back to sleep in a cycle.
The 5 races of tyria had a summit and barely agreed on working together on fighting the dragons (in this case modremoth)
This reminds me of the “last” time when the ancient races of tyria banded together in order to join forces against the dragons…
This didn’t go all well since there was a race called mursaat who betrayed the other races and went into “hiding”.
Mursaats were a race of powerful magical spellcasters who thought them self better and superior than other races, they also worked with golemancy.
There are a lot of similarity with both asura and mursaat, and there are even links between them (if you look hard enough)
So… How about history repeating it self once again for good old times and make asura betray the other 4 races of tyria when the moment comes to fight modremoth, the jungle dragon.
after all, we should be ready for anything right?
i play a male mezmer with pitch black blue armor ,the minor details like belt and patches on my armor are brightly golden
Im man enough to play a mezmer, but for you i suggest getting a bad kitten manly mask!
previously you had to log in and do 5 daily achievements for 5 AP,laurel, exp and mystic coins.
now you want to get 5 ap and 1 laurel by doing nothing?
sorry no…
Anet made daily achievements a bit easier, more rewarding, but i want players who invest time and who enjoy the game to be more rewarded than someone who doesnt care about it and just logs in to get whatever the game trows at them at log in…
2 lvl 80 guardians here…and i thought im the only one..
whats with guardians anyway?
behold the power of the ocean! -holds a blazing torch in his left hand-
…hurr durr i cast…icy fire balls!
anyone noticed that the door can only be closed/opened from the inside?
If you close the door…theres nothing on the outside, no WINDOWS or a door knob…anything
i played a ele for a long time and i like how he can:
-Deal large amounts of constant aoe dmg
-can deal bleeding or burning if i wish to go condi
-can use fire and water fields and blast them himself multiple times (tho water fields is more important for me)
-can support and keep NPCs alive
-can remove conditions.
-is sought out for in dungeons
could any experienced engineer tell me if a engineers have anything in common with the things i mentioned for the ele?
PS : I know eles can do more than just the things i said here, but the stuff i mentioned here is what i find most fun and amusing when playing a ele. And hopefully i can find these things in a engineer as well.
PPS: I play pve mostly and sometimes WvW (staff ele)
warriors are and can be :
-best armor and health
-melee (most of the time)
-high dps
-if condy, they go for bleeds mostly, can do a little bit of fire as well
-extremely tanky
-can use shouts to buff ,remove conditions and heal for quite a bit (around 4500hp per 30 seconds more or less)
-Can give party wide stat increases with various banners, also swiftness
-Can trait so banners give a wide spread constant never ending regeneration
-can pick up baners and take them with you
-Can share might stacks with a trait combo (you give might to allies, whenever you get one)
-sought after in dungeons
-most likely to be playing a commander in wvw
(note i didnt play engies much but…) Engeneers are and can be:
-mostly ranged characters
-heavy condition damage while applying all sorts of condi types
-can apply and share all sorts of boons
-incredible amount of utility
-medium health and medium armor
-personally more fun to play with than a warrior
-isnt a typical"medieval"class,but a stempunk gun,turret, gadget,alchemical potion guy
-has good positions in pvp
-can use turrets to deal damage, crowd control, and support
we do get mystic coins form doing our daily, check the rewards
wintersday daily achievements (not the meta, the daily ones) when finished give you 1 extra laurel
check my topic here for some insight about daily rewards before and after the patch
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/before-and-after-Mcoins-and-Laurels/first#post4629985
Im getting really tired form all the people that whine about this change without even looking into the actual thing….
I understand many people dont know about the changes, but they could simply ask someone to explain it to them instead of whining and raging about nothing..
New daily achievements give more rewards than the old one, dont like more rewards? dont do them, go farm dungeons or somehting
I just noticed i get 1 laurel for doing my daily wintersday achievements.
So if you are looking to get a extra bunch of laurels, do your wintersday daily achievements. (not the festival meta, but the daily achievements)
im not demanding them this instant or anything. I just thought it would be a nice thing to get for our characters
hobo sacks hahahahhaha
they added 1 new sigil and 1 new rune yes.
This particular sigil can partially aoe blind 4 targets IN FRONT of you.
As you shoot 4 snowballs in a cone in the direction you are facing.
I think guardians will find this a good sigil
I noticed every class has a set of skills categorized by several types
Lets take ele for example
He has arcana skills, glyphs, cantrips, signets and conjure weapons.
If we take a look on his elite skills we see several types as well
We have:
-GLYPH of elementals
-CONJURE fiery greatsword
-TRANSFORM Tornado
Why not add a elite Cantrip, elite signet, or even better, a elite arcana skill so we can go with full arcana builds
Same rules also apply for other classes, warriors for example dont have a elite stance, shout or a elite physical skill (it has a transform that gets pretty phisical tho :P)
welcome back!
I play on Gandara so the community there is pretty active.
One big thing to note is that they introduced megaservers.
This allows you to see and play with other players from other servers on the same PvE zone. Normaly, you will join zones with your party members, friends and guildies first.
So dont be afraid if you used to play on a english server and suddenly see french people recruiting for their french guilds in /map chat
I only recently started to play PvP, while i do think that a prepared premade team can have a advantage against 5 random people, i do think that class issues arent a thing (at least it didnt felt like it in my experience)
For WvW there is the edge of the mists map. this map was ment for people who queued for their worlds to play together while waiting.
While your score in EoTM wont count for your world score, you still get exp, champ loot, WvW exp and badges of honor.
If you do good in EoTM your home world will get a small boost of supplies in your home world wvw map (but only in the citadel and nowhere else!)
There are a TON of other patches, updates and changes since release, feel free to ask anything thats confusing or new to you here. Or better yet join a guild and enjoy the game
TLDR: With the new daily changes, in 28 days you get the SAME amount of Mystic coins. You also get 3 LESS Laurels (35=new system, 38=old system) but you do have a choice to get a bag full of laurels at day 28,meaning even more laurels than before during the old daily system
So before the patch we could get 28 daily rewards that rewarded us with 1 laurel and 1 mystic coin ,and we could also do the entire monthly that rewarded us with 10 laurels and 20 mystic coins.
Lets do some math here.
Assuming we were playing for 28 days in which we were finishing our daily and doing monthlies, we would gather :
28 Mcoin, 28 Lau + 20 Mcoin , 10 Lau = 48Mcoins +38 Laurels
Now lets look at the new system with the daily logins.
By only doing log ins we will get : 20Mcoins and 35 Laurels + “more” Laurels at day 28 (if we decide to pick the bag with laurels instead of other ones)
Note that one of todays daily achievement will reward us with a mystic coin.
So lets assume that we will get a chance to do a daily that rewards us with 1 mystic coin ,and we do it every day for 28 days.
28 Mcoins +20 Mcoins, 35 Laurels + optional bag of “more” laurels
= 48 Mcoins and 35 Laurels +the option to get more (how many i don’t know)
In conclusion
Comparing the old and new daily/monthly system for the rewards of Laurels and Mystic coins, we see that in the time of 28 days we get the exact same numbers of Mystic coins, and 3 Laurels LESS than before (however you get the option to get MORE if you wish at day 28)
Please also note that you need to do 3 daily and 0 monthlies achievements with the new system compared with the old 5 daily and 4 monthlies in order to get the rewards.
Also note that each daily achievement you do you will be rewarded with small boosts of exp, honor badges, mats, rare and exotic gear, progression in pvp tracks, WvW exp, tome of knowledge and ascended crafting mats.
The daily log in rewards also reward you with crafting mats, tome of knowledge, a chance to get a item from the BLchest (as well a the key it self),permanent +2%gold income every 28 days, transmutation charges… and other things that you must decide when you reach the 28th reward.
Note that i didn’t pay attention to AP, as i am not one of those people that hunt every single AP available at any given time.
For those who are AP hunters you will have to understand me, as i understand how you dont care about pvp or wvw or whatever.
Anyway, math has been done, enjoy this information
WELCOME to the “end game”, where you can do whatever you wish!
i suggest you first run around the world untill you unlocked all way points that are near world bosses, as well as all way points that are near dungeons.
Download a phone app that shows you when the world bosses show up,or book mark a web page that does the same.
Join a guild that likes to do dungeons, or simply join pugs.
Try to do all the world bosses and all dungeon paths (at least the ones that are easy and fast) every day.
Level up your tailoring and start working on your ascended armor set
Still got free time?
-explore the rest of the world for 100% map completion
-Finish personal story
-Finish living story
-Enjoy temporary wintersday festival, snoop around and see if you can find a way to use the event to make tons of gold
-Explore silverwastes and such for achievements and new carapace armor and titles
-work on your legendary, yes you can do this! /cheer
as for gear, im sure everyone will recommend you full zerker ,always zerker ,zerker everywhere in all PvE.
Personally i use full zerker for dungeons and for roaming around and exploring the pve for map completion.
I also made a full nomad gear for some hard large events such as tripple trouble or tequatl. it just helps me stay alive and i also find my self filling up other players hp from 30% back to 100% a lot.
As for weapons i mostly use staff, i like using fire and arcana for zerker builds, and water arcana for nomad builds.
it allows me to have lava font constantly up,and my fireballs hit like a train.
I add a few meteor showers and icebows in the mix on large groups as well.
heres a idea:
Epic Precursor collection
-Stays hidden until you acquired gift of mastery
things to fully complete :
-gift of mastery
-gift of fortune
-all dungeon gifts
-maybe something else as well
Reward : Box of precursor
Open the Box of Precursors to pick 1 precursor you wish.
Pros: a way to get a single precursor with a actual progression track rather than relying on a low rng,or grinding dungeons and what not for thousands of gold needed to buy it from tp
Cons: people might always go for the most expensive precursor, sell it on tp ,buy the one they actually need and still have a bunch of gold left in their pockets.
This will most likely reduce the price of the most expense precursor ,and raise up the prices of some others
2 guardians and 2 elementalists
the first ele is my oldest char, the next one would be another guardian.
then after a loong break of 6 months (had to work somewhere) i came back and i had no idea where i stopped and what to do….
i read some patch notes and decided to try out the new leveling experience.
so i made a new guardian….gave him a new haircut and new hair dye, he also got a exotic hero sword and a a hero rare staff….so yeah, i invested some time and he got some different things that the old one and thats how i ended up not deleting him.
same goes for the other ele with max bag space (old one doesnt have it)
im the kind of person who isnt hyped about any game, or any update in that matter.
but it would sure make me happy if they add:
-more emotes
-guild capes
-guild halls
-guild vs guild
-improve wvw
-improve existing dungeons and add a few new ones that are better than this one
-add more puzzles and team effort in said dungeons other than “split up and gather 5 peaces of xyz while defending a npc”
-cheaper precursors (or a progression way to get it,something like “Epic Precursor collection achievement” that can be done once per account…instead of insane low rng)
As for new races and new classes…i dont think that would make people happy…some may wish it but they will most likely treat that just as a alt, and “get bored” of doing the same thing over but with a new race/class.
as for a “expansion”..idk, i was happy with getting little updates, patches, and new content over time rather than getting absolutely nothing for 6 months and then a boat load of new content all of the sudden…that id have to buy (yes buy..cause we are talking about a expansion arent we?)
some gem store items as well as outfits are “time gated” and appear during special festivals.
also note that some weapon skins such as those haloween skins get a discount during its festival
i bought that spider bow skin for 2 tickets instead of 5
didnt know they added a new domination map where you fight npc golems…
also, whats with the rangers spirits,25 sigil stacks, fury, 6might stacks banners…
is this a new meta pvp team build where everyone stands around you and buffs you up so you can cast 1 firegrab on a golem?
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
cause having the lowest amount of hp and armor in the game makes us strong enough to go on and compete with other classes without our mobility…
warriors have heavy armor just like guardians do, why wouldn’t we lower warriors health down as well?
while we are at it, its unfair for a thief to stealth so much.
lets also make rangers go full melee and make mezmers only have 1 clone and 1 phantasm up at any given time.
In gw1, from the time of ancient gods, magic, mysteries ,powerful ancient artifacts and where real warriors used strength, tactics to gain honor and glory in melee combat.
we go now 250 years in the future.
Where assassins look like pirates, and mezmers look like necromancers…
Where warriors shoot rifles ,and monks with heavy armor cleave trough enemies with a great sword…
Where asura made anyone able to instantly teleport to almost any place and use holograms that can punch you in the face..
Where we battle terraforming dragons with submarines, flying air crafts and helicopters…and those huge mighty looking charr warmachines that just stand there and rust in black citadel…
…cannons, asuran golems, guns and bombs…and lasers! lets not forget lasers!
honestly…why do we still bother with swords and bows?
Then again… if you tell someone from 1765 about todays planes ,phones, internet, guns, cars…electricity, computers, air conditions….yeah…
personally i enjoyed more the armor sets form gw1.
Not only would your class have its own class specific armor ( tho necro, monk, mezmers and elementalists were “cloth” users, not a single one was the same) they also had a distinct theme going around with them.
out of all light armors in gw2 id say only 7 (for my taste) would feel mage/wizard/elemental magic like…the rest are
-common folk npc armor
-dark skull hooded necromancer armor
-pirate armor?
-masked mezmer good looking tuxedo armor
while in gw1 armors were themed with its own class, as well as the area where you got the armor it self
your ele could have a fire, ice, earth, thunder armor theme going on. or you could be wearing a kryta style armor, or cantha style armor (with a elementalist theme, such as long capes)
and then there were also prestige (elite) armor, which were a much more detailed versions of the ones mentioned before.
I wish Anet would introduce 3 new in game obtainable armor for each class that goes with the theme of the class…
then again, its a brand new world here in gw2, 250 years made its effect on the world of style and armor…not to mention submarines, flying aircrafts and helicopters ….and guns, bombs and laser shooting cannons… honestly why are we even using swords and bows anymore?
great! now go do triple trouble!
while the idea of quitting and picking up gw2 whenever you wish is great, and somewhat possible.
the game rewards you more if you keep playing, and in my opinion it should.
Why would someone who logged 3 times a month be rewarded and make the same amount of progress as someone who is playing 25 days a month?
The next patch will also add log in rewards that you can get by simply logging in.
While you wont stop or reset your progress if you dont log in a day or two, the person who does log in every day will still have more progress that you will.
Also, i dont understand people that make such a fuss about the need of taking 1 minute to log in the game to unlock daily log in rewards and new living story content…
I mean seriously. We are all spending at least 30 minutes per day on our computer, how hard is it to log in a character and let the world load in the background while you ..idk.. read 9gag or reply to emails.
And for those that hate logging in to the game to unlock a living story or get a free log in reward…why bother playing the game you hate to even log in yet alone spend some time actually playing it?
“a commander’s main priority is to survive so he/she can keep leading his zerg” said a guild member to me once.
I had high armor and high vitality in mind, with some ways of mitigating/avoiding damage.
so id like you to check this build and tell me if i nailed it or not?
how i see the “temporary changes in wvw”:
It reminds me of path of exiles “temporary leagues”
Where they create brand new fresh servers that last for a few weeks so everyone can start a new character and play the same game, but with a few tweeks and changes and additions.
Things such as
-open world pvp (not available in normal servers)
-unsuspected strong monsters that surround you when you aoe a large group of mobs
-addition of kill streak, gaining bonuses and effects the more mobs you kill in a short amount of time
Dont know how this will work in wvw, but in PoE it works great. tons of people gladly make new chars in a temporary new server with a few simple yet great tweeks in core gameplay.
And after the temporary server gets removed, the “best” players get rewarded and their characters get moved back to the normal servers.
i figured out the perfect solution for all the players that hate/dont like/think its a bad idea with the log in rewards (for whatever reasons)
Since there is no way of avoiding being rewarded when you log in,and you will most likely log in, how about mailing me your daily rewards?
i mean..you obviously hate the idea of getting rewards for simply logging in…it would be a waste if you keep deleting the free rewards you are getting…send them to me!
anyone noticed the “win 1 pvp match playing as a mezmer” ?
…think about it…anyone? aaaanyone??
Could we get an answer about what do we need to do to get laurels and mystic coins from our daily/monthly achievements and log in rewards?
So far i only know i will get to pick if i want to have a extra box full of laurels after logging in 28 times (28days) and i also know daily achievement will give out related rewards such as killing 3 peeps in wvw gives a extra bunch of badges.
Do we still get laurels and mystic coins after we do 3/3 daily achievements?
-Prices of mystic coins are already going up..
https://www.gw2tp.com/item/19976-mystic-coin
around 60k mystic coins were “removed” form the total supply of mystic coins that are sold on TP…in around 4 hours of time.
as in: 354k Mcoins at 6hours→>297k at 10hours
I can already hear the flippers rubbing their hands right now
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
there will always be a meta, something that is the best possible and most optimal solution.
The problem in this game is that the meta means full zerker IN ALL DUNGEONS AND ALL PvE
Gw1 had the idea of diverse builds and gameplay, and it still had its “Meta”,even tho it had 10 different classes and over a thousand of skills to play with (with any class-class combo)
But gw1 meta wasnt about only playing 1 out of 3 “meta” classes equipped with a full armor of specific runes that never change in any zone or dungeon.
Each dungeon had one or more “meta” team builds you can chose from, Vanquishing zones in hard mode were made easy with 3 necromancers, but you still couldn’t finish all of them with that alone.
Events had its own rules…
But the reason why that was different was probably cause gw1 had more diverse mobs and mob abilities, skill and spell effects compared to gw2..but thats another story.
TLDR: all games have a “meta” that is trying to use its resources and abilities to finish content in the most optimal and fastest way. Some games adapt their meta with team builds, other games adapt their meta with specific classes performing specific roles in specific moments…
gw2 meta adapts by trying to kill before getting killed. Why? Cause thats simply how mobs work in this game
what i think about the news?
-anets giving me more free stuff, cool..
what i think about the community on the forums reacting about the news?
-most of the treads are made by OPs that went TLDR on the whole news thing…they seemed scrolling trough the news and only looking at the screen shots…and then started opening new forum treads with wrong info about the news…
things like :
-" I liked the fact i could put down gw2 and pick it up whenever cause no subs, now if i dont log in one day i will BREAK THE CHAIN and have to start over again"
→“the real issue is the people who don’t find the need to play the game to actually earn rewards, which is unfair to the people who participate in the community and actually DO earn rewards by playing, contributing something to the community.”
(Do you know the daily log in rewards that we will be earning? You pretty much assumed they are far off better than any other daily achievement rewards, or even better than actually playing the game like doing dungeons or helping your guild mates with various things..you know to actually contribute something to the community that you are playing with)
Would quote more peeps but i had enough of my daily..no..yearly dose of qqing and whining on the forums.
Good day all, happy holidays, and plenty of good loot.
-Goes on playing gw2-
“I finally made my legendary weapon, and all it took was logging in once per day!”
-Random player that didnt know better, year 2048
not loging in will not “break” the chain
if you are at “stage” 5 today and you dont log in for 10 days, you will be at stage 6 when you do log in after 10 days….
The only bad thing of NOT spending 1 minute on clicking a shortcut and log in buttons for the daily log in reward would be needing more than 28 irl days to get to the 28th reward.
as in: me and my friend both loged in every day for 27 days. he logs in the next day for his 28th reward, i dont.
he logs in the next day for his new 1st reward, i log in for my 28th reward.
I dont get what the big problem is here. People were whining about “having” to log in and doing random things for their daily rewards, and even doing more random stuff they dont like doing to get aaaaall the achievement points.
Now you have to do 3 things to get the max amount of achievement points, and you get a reward by just loging in….
PS:
-Anet: “FREE STUFF FOR EVERYONE WITH NO ACTION IN THE GAME REQUIRED!!”
-Players : " OMG REALY ANET!??! WOW SERIOUSLY!? Q_Q -makes treads on forums how horrible the idea is-
how bad does this make the community look?
(edited by Vukorep.3081)
I decided to make a suggestion post here…please feel free to add it to the correct part of the forum.
“scavenger hunt” for precursors
TLDR: Give us a collection achievement that rewards us with a Precursor box, opening it will allow us pick and choose a single precursor that we need/want.
-This can be done once per account
-Items for collection achievement can be account bind to prevent economic influence
I know they have promised precursor scavenger hunts for a loong time now, and they added a small chance for them to drop from big boss fights but how about this idea.
We recently got a patch that added some sort of scavenger hunt already under our collection achievements.
Why not add a special super hard collection achievement that can be done once per account and rewards you with a box that lets you pick 1 precursor of your choice.
This will give you the precursor that you want/need rather than spending tons of gold in the mystic toilet for nothing (for those unlucky ones), or finally getting one from the boss events only to figure out you dont need that one…
It would also be more fun to gather those trophies/items for the collection rather than lvling your crafting to 500,and then waiting for your mats to get off the daily cooldown…
The collection trophies and items needed for that box should be obtained from several different locations and aspects of the game. It could also be set up to progress the collection achievement along side with your other legendary ingredients.
Example:
-Doing wvw for your badges? Get a precursor collection item form the wvw jumping puzzle.
- Exploring the world for gift of exploration? Get a precursor collection item by doing some of the hardest/hidden jumping puzzles (you get to explore those parts of the world even tho they dont contain any POI for your world completion)
-Doing dungeons for your tokens to buy a gift? Add a special precursor trophy to ALL dungeon vendors for 20 tokens (will make you play all the dungeons at least once)
Might contain something from SOME story dungeons (not all..cause we already done them once, and one more time after a patch). Or some items that come from world bosses, like tequatls fang accessory from tequatl.
To avoid this collection achievement to effect the economy , you might wanna use soul bound items only, and then use them in the MF with new recipe that gives out a single item thats needed for the collection.
Example: gather 25 moa trophies, 50 deer trophies, 75 wolf trophies and 100 baracuda trophies=> MF=> Wilderness trophy => +1 to collection.
The numbers are just used as an example. The point was to show that you can explore and hunt down mobs with a specific theme to gather account bound trophies, and use them to get a special MF trophie (also soul bound) that will make you progress trough the precursor achievement.
Since the items are all account bound, they cant be sold and wont effect the economy.
Some ideas mentioned here, and the items that you need to gather for your precursor collection achievement (if they add this suggestion in the game) will normally require some sort of grinding and will be time consuming.
But its either that or:
-Spamming dungeons all day, every day to get 600-1500gold (probably going even higher as time passes by) to buy the precursor form the TP
-Spending real money for gems, and selling them for gold…untill you get4000-16000 gems (around 50-150 euros)
-Checking your phone app for world bosses and running from one to another HOPING you will get extremely lucky to get a precursor…and theres 1/20 chance you will get the one you need, and not all of those other 19 precursors are worth enough to sell on tp, so you can buy the one you can actually need.
PS: The only downside of this suggestion is that most likely people will only pick the precursor form the precursor box that has the most value on TP, sell it, and buy the precursor they need, and still have lots of extra gold in their pockets (that they can use to buy those t6 mats or something)
Example: I finally open the box and i pick Dusk (im a engeneer and want chaos gun) I sell dusk for 1336gold and buy chaos gun for 689gold.
End result: I have chaos gun and 647 gold in my pocket
Long term result: Dusk prices will probably go down (not such a bad thing after all ?)
Any ideas? Other suggestions?
i dont see any connection between gw1 10 year anniversary and opening cantha or tengu zones in gw2…
gw1 10 year anniversary should be celebrated in gw1 mainly… gw2 can have some 10 year anniversary gem shop hats…
Besides heritage armor, are there any armor sets in gw2 that resemble the armor from gw1?
i can already see iron legion charr dervishes running around in human god forms hahaahhahahaahahhahahah
I thought someone from the company said they have something special in mind for the gw1 10th anny…
Was it a lie? Or did that came form the people that don’t work in the company anymore…
you have to have 1 gw campain (prophecies, factions or nightfall) + eye of the north expansion
at one point of the campain you will be able to travel to eye of the north expansion.
Then you will enter the outpost called eye of the north and enter a instance called hall of monuments, there you can set up your personal (characters) achievements or your account based achievements.
Each time you put a achivement you gain a hall of monument points.
At a certain number of points you will unlock titles and skins for gw2.
Achievements include:
-Elite armor sets
-Elite weapons
-Minipet collections
-In game gw1 titles (Consumable titles, finishing all missions in a campain with bonuses ect)
-Equiping your heroes with elite hero armor (avaiable in Nightfall)
-and many more.
The more campaings you own,the more titles you have available to achieve.
Example:
Finishing all missions with bonuses on all 3 campaings = 3 titles= 3 achievement points, you gain a extra 1 legendary title for doing all 3 of those which is a total of 4 points towards your HoM.
Now do that again but on Hard Mode and you will gain 4 more titles.
i used GS+staff for my leveling, exploring pve world weapons
spam 1 on your staff and pull a bunch of mobs, make them follow you behind you
place your staff simbol on the ground, and place the staff 5 wall skill on the symbol.
Should be around 20% symbol for you, and 80% symbol on the other side dmging the enemies
then hit empower
while you gain stacks of might, swiftness (and maybe other benefits from the symbol via triats) the mobs you pulled are getting damaged from the symbol and cant get to you cause of the wall
Then you swich to your GS, leap, blind, place simbol in the middle and wirlwind in the middle of the mob group.
Use sword 5 and auto atacks to finish them off if you havent already….
i think thats the most quickest way to do stuff in basic pve
This is the build im using most of the time while im playing my guardian.
16k hp and 2800 armor is good enough, specially with AH
with fully stacked sigil of bloodlust and around 10 might (form my own staff or from other players around me i have 3k atk wich is also quite good.
The traits are currently set up for some sort of team/zergy pve content, such as silverwastes, but there are other traits i like to swich around if i want do give myself some more power. Same goes with utility skills
