And yet decent players are able to beat em 1v1, either by not bursting infused light, work around their legend stances/cds as for ex they dont have withdraw in glint (and with 9 sec cd after swap), or condi builds. You guys are making yourselves look like fools with all this LOLOL WTH. Others can do it, theres workarounds, yet you two cant seem to get it and thats why you’re here. That explains quite a bit.

Wut, 2 evades as everyone else? And actually up to 3 evades on average that most classes have with skills that come with them.
Only really bad players use all the energy on Shiro’s evade which is really expensive. And the only decent reliable sustain they have in Glint/Shiro is shield 5 and to an extent sword 3 (although both are really easily countered by decently skilled players). Unless they are fighting trash tier players who hit them while Infused Light is up and run like headless chickens when they are being hit by sword 3.

I’ll admit I’ve been a guard main for 3 years now. In my opinion there are two things that could be changed about DH to tone it down in PvP without destroying it.
1) Get rid of trapper runes. These runes never should have been added to PvP, and are a big source of the problem with this build. Taking these away doesn’t kill DH, but makes this build a lot less scary.
2) Take off the 1 second daze on adept trait. This is another big complaint people have. And in PvP I get it. CC is hard to deal with, and getting hit by CC en masse is no fun. Taking that away and giving a guard +25% movement speed instead would make both sides extremely happy.
3) (Optional) Make test of faith have a 1/4 second cast time. Instead of it being insta-cast, make it have a short cast time which gives players a tad bit of time to react. When a trap can be insta cast while channeling True Shot, or using WW it is not exactly fair.
The main thing is don’t just take the typical nerf approach and destroy dmg and cds of abilities. That’s how you destroy a build. Just take the things that make it really hard to deal with and shave those off. Plus adding the +25% movement as compensation would make every guard think the nerf is a buff.

Don’t know why… I’m destroying people in pvp & wvw. Sitting at 2200 power, 2400 armor, 23k health, 100% crit, 202% crit damage self buffed.
I mean… the class is frankly OP as hell…. running around self buffed with those stats.. I can then swap to shiro and kill most people I find in pvp in about 4-5 seconds… some in less time. Bunker builds with a lot of block are the only thing that gives me any trouble.. and even then.. it’s just a matter of taking a little longer to kill them.
The only class I’ve seen more ridiculous are trap dragon hunters basically 1 shotting people with traps.

Well over 20k damage on a single button press at 1200 range on a 3 second cooldown is obviously totally broken. I don’t know what Anet was thinking but it made me stop playing my main class in pvp.
Can you provide a screenshot of you getting a 20k ruin? On a player
The skill hits 3 times. 9k + 7k + 5k = 21k and that’s just for a normal hit, I got hit for 14k once, with 2 other targets it can get near 25-28k total damage with full might stacks.

I don’t think revenant is all that OP. The current meta build plays like a weird mix of theif and guardian, with support through boons and good ability to engage and plus a fight but can’t disengage all that well compared to a thief and they’re mostly bad for rezzing unless there’s either heavy cleave with no CC (for radiant revival) or with quickness and no cleave.
That being said 3 of the 5 legends are currently underperforming, due to lack of personal sustain and general clunkiness on Jalis/Ventari, and due to confused identity since the mallyx rework that doesn’t mesh well with corruption traits. Those legends and traitline a will need to be brought up to promote build diversity.

CoR need to be toned down. Other classes hammer skills do not have not even close dmg as CoR (hammer 2#) plus its CD is 2 sec….need to be increased cd to 4 sec.
UA needs to be toned down to 3 attacks…and bring cd down to 10 sec.

Traps are avoidable and on big cd 20 sec to 36 sec and 60 sec elite = one dodge eliminates them all.
Virtue of courage have cast time + 65 sec cd.
True shot dmg is reasonable because it make you rooted.
Cor is aoe cone huge dmg, 2 sec cd. Easy spammable.
UA is 5 attacks while avoiding all.Personally I don’t have problems with Revenants but all those shouting against DH made me suggest some balance to rev’s too
Yeah they do need balance, but as in buffing and tweaking up the other legends like Jallis, Ventari and Mallyx.

This is very funny cause the Daze is a giveaway that you have activated a trap, it comes right before the trap activates its effect giving you enough time to dodge…
Problem is that there are some professions/builds that are very good for pvp, and there are some “really bad”.
DH is a good example of " good pvp build/profession" due to the fact that fights are held in small points. But in wvw they start to melt instantly. Problem is this part. Not every build/profession can handle herself well in spvp because Anet still can not grasp the immense advantage/disadvantage table in spvp. DH has an advantage of small points (if you leave the point, she gets the “point”. Got it:) )

Everything is still being “balanced” around Conquest, and Stronghold isn’t much different where builds that allow you to camp have a huge advantage.
Happening with other classes as well, saw an engineer destroying people through the front of a Tower at EB.

I’n my experience it has been the opposite. Everything gets nuked instantly and fights end with 5 people downed because the damage is so high.

Meh, I’m lazy and just stay in Glint all the time while putting the hammer down like Thor. But then I’m just doing HoT events and don’t care about ‘maximizing dps’. Already I have ~100% crit chance and ~220% crit dmg; that’s good enough for me. :P

Wut, HoT has been perfect IMO aside from the lackluster rewards from Fractals. The HP nerfs were more than enough already.
I wonder if the reapers, scrappers, and revs are just sitting on the sidelines, being happy that DH is getting all the attention from the scrubs, or if they’re frightened of who will be next once the plebes ruin DH.
Let’s not even mention D/D cele ele which has fallen off the scrub-nerf-this radar after they new expansion hit. They must be ecstatic.

Yea I thought that it was op too. Now I play as rev and this animation is so slow and glichy with short range. You just have to dodge/go out of range and skill fails (450 range).
Yep, it has a delay before it starts where the user performs a jump upwards before teleporting pretty much giving it all away.

If you’re a Mesmer you have clones and the damage is instantly 1/3 or less. Or you could stealth, or pop a distortion, or even dodge and eat a little bit
Engi stealth or spawn gyro to cut damage in half and dodge once – most damage mitigated
Teef stealth or interrupt with pistol 4
Ranger pet – damage is halved combined with 1 dodge mitigates most damage
Ele shocking aura interrupts – mist form or burning speed and a dodge
Warrior, infinite dodges or endure?? GS 3 and 1 dodge?? Shield block?
Do I really have to go on? UA is literally 90% of a revs entire weapon set pressure and is stupid easy to avoid

To all the people saying double dodge, lol. They have other good damaging skills, what are we supposed to do against those now that 2 whole dodges where spent on one skill? What are necros supposed to do for the 10 seconds where they don’t have dodges anymore? Also, 1vs1s are relevant in pvp, and should be considered for balance. I’m not saying rev as a whole is OP, but skills that deal this much damage, even if only in 1vs1, and provide you with no options other than double dodge, block, or invuln on a 12 second cd aren’t well implemented.
I’d be all for the damage going back up, damage going up in multi-target situations, and/or the initial cast being made instant if it meant I could actually punish for using the skill improperly.
I bet you stand in a Warriors Hundred Blades then complain about how much Damage it does.

Yep, glint is the worse heal if you receive little to no damage.
This is again another l2p issue.
For 70+scale fractals the amount of toughness is insane, if a full Zerk has problems dealing damage you think that any other build (aside from Sinister obviously LOL) like PVT, Cleric, Knight, Celestial, etc will find being in one single fractal for hours any fun? Cause the rewards are not even worth it but if at least it wasn’t as frustrating that would be diffferent. Anyway I just got my 51-75 AP chest so not touching fractals anymore
Yeah, the patch broke a few things…again, getting DC’d constantly as well as a few crashes, could arenanet maybe consider making sure that the patch doesn’t break the game? I mean one patch I can kind of understand but two patches in a row? Come on
