I am bad at jumping but the only puzzle so far that I absolutely cannot do is the southsun vent puzzle. Thank god for mesmers. I do not think they should be required to finish maps like the wall one, so that should be changed to get the skill point and view. Never had a huge problem with that one though several people on forums where very upset about it.

story mode is a option, not required at all. Expl mode is also an option depending on if you want the exotics that the tokens provide. Go to Lions arch near the mist portal and preview all the weapons/armour to see what you want to use. If you have crafted to being able to make your own exotics go farm mats at world boss events (break down rare for ectos and possible exotic drops) and various places for the T6 mats you will need.
Options all over the place so unfortunately it is up to you to decide how to proceed.

You can complain to support and if you have screen shots they can track the people who do this on a regular basis. You actually don’t just need to deal with it but don’t let it get to you.

There are NPCs attacking with whips on Southsun during some events. What profession do you think this weapon goes with.

There is a group DE that spawns in the same area. Sounds like you got involved with that.

As for the skillpoint (which is in Fireheart Rise) Jack of Tears is talking about, that one isn’t all that difficult either as long as you hurry and get out of there before the entire map is after you.

Personally I think they have improved with southsun. There is the rolling rebellions and crazed beasts running around. This to me gives it a little more meat than with the periscopes/flame portals. If they advance this over the 2 weeks instead of leaving it static it would be perfect.

It satisfies all the requirements. You could at one point talk to various NPCs and get a form of closure if you would like to use that word instead.

As has been said the bonfire was an epilogue. The dungeon was the end of that story arc.

If they added the option for guilds to team up to get the reward together it would solve a lot of the problems. Five small guilds together could do everything that was released for guild content. Instead you need to physically join another guild. Hot joins of guilds of different sizes would be great.

Edit: since they like things in five so much they could just modify the party system. Instead of individuals you get guilds. Symbol is not a person but guild sign. Rep to start and accept this is assigned by guild leader like other permissions.

It may be that they are working on some kind of solution, but this has been discussed to death since the game started.

Some areas have been re-tooled to suit lvl 80 players being downscaled. Could be what you are running into.

They have been saying that since November but guess what? The game is still running. I know, it’s shocking.

People have been saying that since beta. People in every game every produced have been saying the same thing. Sometimes they get lucky and it actually dies a final death of server shutdown but that is rare.

There is no need for them. There is a very vocal minority for them. They where deliberately left out of the game by ANET. ANET left wiggle room to add something that could be considered a mount but probably will not satisfy the horsey crowd. It will not happen the way you want it to happen so search early posts and get your answers there.

Where do these exploitable downtrodden get the entry cash to play the game? Don’t really believe it is the poorest of poor that would even be considering playing this game.

Yes I died a couple of times jumping in this, lived a couple of times too so you need to aim a bit.

I did not notice if you had contacted support. This was a farming bot by the sounds of it and will prob be on peoples target list for bots. Make sure support knows you have taken back control and what was done to the account through official channels not via forums. Keep the character if you want, not a big deal. If you want to run dungeons do so after you have your traits and weapon skills sorted out to where you are comfortable. Create a new character just to see some things you missed.

LOTRO costume system is great as has been mentioned, outleveling weapons/armour in a incredibly short time is not a fond memory though.
Distant exp gain while in a group/party was a neat feature in Atlantica Online, don’t think it would work or is needed so much in this game though.
Seeing pets change as they gain exp is cool, would not mind seeing something like this.
Do not miss the trinity in any way.
Housing has never impressed me in any game, basically just a place to put stuff. So they create more stuff so you can put it in your house.

keys to me are not worth it. Starting out since you both like alts, character slots and bank slots are the first things I would buy. After you have played a bit create a private guild and build banking space there that can be shared between accounts. Then with in game gold buy more gems for fluff.

It would be PvE hardcore only, its impossible not to die in PvP or WvW…

A hardcore GW2 would have its own unique economy and gameplay style, with a lot of builds designed to avoid death…

On topic it is impossible to regulate even if they put a toggle in game. Craft to 80, stay in 1-15 zone to 80, party up to 80. Would give an almost 100% guaranteed never deleted using what you want.

i have a job yet still have around 300g since playing at launch….without spending a dime…i got a fused ticket with about 70g worth of gems…took around 30 or so chests….i have no regrets…..

To quibble there are millions of Mona Lisa’s some very, very good. They are copies but they are Mona Lisa just not the original.
No problem on my part to see ring on vanity items, or for them to be in the gem shop.

I knew someone who opened 10 BL chests and received two fused weapon tickets and an Abyss dye. I also knew someone who opened 87 BL chests and received nothing.

Assuming this anecdote is true, and assuming they paid cash for the gems instead of converting gold (a big assumption, I’ll admit) it perfectly illustrates the case against rng items. Person B was clearly willing to spend the cash to get a cosmetic item. But because rng – something that is completely beyond a player’s control – was not favorable to them, they had to go without something they obviously wanted.

RNG = Luck.

Let me put it this way:

Person A purchase ONE lottery ticket and won millions of dollars.
Person B purchased an entire lot of lottery tickets and won nothing.

Because luck – something that is completely beyond anyone’s control – was not favorable to everyone. Therefore, lots of people have to go without something they obviously wanted.

This isn’t the lottery. It’s not a casino. It’s a video game. If someone wants an item, why should he/she be denied that item because of luck? If someone is willing to put forth the effort in-game or is willing to spend cash in a cash shop to obtain an item, should that not be enough?

Remember, games are supposed to be fun. What’s fun about being told “you can’t have the items you want because you weren’t lucky enough”? We’re not talking about a lack of effort, and we’re not talking about an unwillingness to spend money; we’re talking about bad luck – in a video game – preventing one from getting the items they want.

And for companies, games aren’t meant to be fun. They’re meant to make money.

1. Rare – Is something not everyone can get or have. Not many of them. Not likely to be found. Very few exists.
2. Whiner – Person who says things like, “They have something I want so I should get one too.”
3. Grasp of Reality – There is only one Mona Lisa. Not everyone gets to have one. Deal with it.
4. There is a real life company that makes and supports Guild Wars 2. They do this to make money, not cater to you. If they do not make money on Guild Wars 2, it will go away and no one will get any further skins or anything else for that matter.

5 or 6 threads up for the past 2 days, look there for all the speculation you could hope for.

The tengu already have a home area, a place for a gate with the other racial gates and a step up zone after 15. They just need to be given the green light due to whatever reason held them back from launch. Class additions will come with the expansion. Skills are constantly being looked at and new ones will be put in when there is some stability with the ones we have now.

Why would NCsoft, who’s launching another MMO, want to launch an expansion to compete with it. They’d certainly want to stagger the release dates.

I’m sure they do, but they hide them behind some consultant title so people don’t realize how much they’re being manipulated. WoW clones, Farmville spinoffs, these games are too polished to have sprung into being by accident.

I happen to have two accounts – only for the reason of being a massive altoholic.

My main account has all my crafters on it, thus, I have no reason to keep crafting materials on the second account.

Due to messaging limits, it’s near impossible for me simply to send my own crafting materials to myself.

I do realise the limits are there to combat nefarious actions – could we perhaps get the ability to whitelist certain senders? This would allow me to whitelist myself, and other players reporting problems in this thread to whitelist their family/friends to allow more generous messaging limits.

I envisage this will work by the recipient entering an account name into a whitelist at their end – effectively saying “I trust this person, and am willing to accept any and all mail from them”.

In order to continue to combat nefarious uses, set it up so that 72 hours must pass before it takes effect, and limit the number of whitelisted players to 5 or 10 per account.

Not really game breaking stuff. The limits are there to guide you on your first trip through and are cleared very quickly even then. After your first time through getting to lvl 20 is so fast as to be meaningless.
