Guardian was the only class with no long range option so it makes sense to fill this niche.
Many professions in the real world were obsoleted by changing times, I don’t see why it’d be different here.
If somehow we defeated all the dragons and their minions (that continue to exist even when the dragon is dead) before 2025 (3 years and 1 dragon down so far) maybe Dragonhunters will get the title “The Retired”
Welcome to ele, glad you enjoy it as much as I do
If taking stop drop and roll makes you win more fights than soothing ice, then it’s not a worse trait. Just switch it out if you see a reaper, they aren’t exactly going to be teleporting around a bunch :p
I have a feeling reapers will have lots of stability and resistance. Maybe even Defiance if that ever comes to players.
DH Bow 2 also roots you for 3/4 sec.
Sword would bring a condi melee weapon to eles, that’s completely new.
We only have 1 melee option the moment.
I’m keeping my hopes low, would like an elite that is worth casting outside of very specific situations.
Maybe we will get Mantra skills.
I’m so glad you people are not on the design team.
I don’t understand the “generic” argument. How is it more generic than “Warrior” or “Thief” or “Engineer”.
anti projectile trail sounds amazing
I like just walking across a zone and taking part in the various things that are happening, sometimes they’ll chain into something with a champ and multiple players will gather together to take it on, it’s a fun dynamic
Old RTL back, but only accessible to non-specialised eles XD
It’s easily interruptible so a straight buff is fine.
One of the things I like about GW2 is how varied the characters are on all sides, been catching up with GW1 recently and it shows how little variety there could have been :p (I could be wrong though I’m only halfway through prophecies)
Scarlet, Faolain and Mai Trin are some of my favourite antagonists
I’m playing Guild Wars 1 :p
I’d love an “open all chests” button
If lightning rod was removed my ele wouldn’t work at all
I just want an option to turn off the damage numbers… never had any response on my threads though…
No Caps, adding new stuff to buy doesn’t mean you’ll automatically want to buy it, items still take up inventory space / armour slots.
I’d love more uses for current currencies. There are new players too.
60 gold for a skin is pretty cheap tbh, specially as you get loads of loot for doing the storyline, you’ll make a chunk of that gold back.
It’s just normal in mmos, the systems are just too complex to fully test before going live. If you like the genre, better get used to it.
This goes in Heart of thorns forum
It’s meant for screenshots and camera work in machinima Obtena, the smoothness is a boon for that.
The whole point is that cc was useless with mass aoe stability. Now there’s a defence against the zerg.
Toughness should also make defensive abilities scale better, much like Power makes offensive abilities scale better.
Vitality could increase your endurance bar maybe.
Got bored of fractals by 8, but I don’t do dungeons much. I like open world and pvp.
The removal of that green star and text was the greatest reward for finishing the story
Well it’s the same demo that was played by the community members recently.
No idea if anet are holding any juicy info back.
OP, read Yamsandjams.3267 post, don’t just skip it so you can keep parroting your flawed opinion.
The RNG is fine, the base rewards for doing content is way higher than most other mmos i’ve played.
Likely won’t get people off of walls, but would be cool if it did.
But also keep in mind its god for getting enemies to walk into a death trap known as a zerg
[/quote]
I think in zerg play it’ll be similar in use to pulls, though the duration seems longer than any fear or stun currently in game, though I imagine that’s just because it’s got such a huge tell.
Yeah fear, pull and launch do knock people off cliffs, Fear and Taunt won’t be able to get people over the barriers on keep walls though.
An axe would probably end up being a skin for the hammer or greatsword, the fighting style in the gw2 system wouldn’t have a big enough difference to make it a completely different weapon.
But really lets spread out the existing very different weapons before adding weapons that are similar to existing ones.
Taunt is just reverse fear, stop thinking of it as a tanking tool.
Being downed is the injured state. That already has a pretty damaged looking animation.
Dying isn’t the same as sleeping.
Adding more textures would also require an engine change.
I’m hoping that collecting legends will be like collecting pets on ranger.
Specialisation rune sets would add some great variety.
Just have slow also apply a cripple during the duration of the ability if it doesn’t slow movement speed.
I’m imagining some slow skills will also apply chill or cripple, for the full slowage :p
The mechanics do have issues. A low condi user overwrites a high condi users conditions, completely negating their damage output.
Oh, yes that’s a problem, I thought it overwrote weaker condis with stronger ones.
I think it’s like in other games where some specs are better for pvp.
Of course some specs are better depending on what game mode you are playing. That shouldn’t mean that conditions are limited to PVP use. This just limits how people play and is a poor design choice. It will be absolutely absurd if nothing is done to fix conditions in PVE.
Tbh more fights with multiple enemies will make conditions stronger, it’s harder to spread power damage around (if the enemies can’t be stacked, easily done with enemies like the lovers in AC and the multiple armoured husks around bases in silverwastes)
I don’t think the mechanics have any issue, it’s again coming down to the fight designs.

We had float in fear and now we have sink in taunt. Nobody complained about having both underwater :p
Maybe skip the autoattacking part of it though and call it Charm They run up to you and /sit
I think it’s like in other games where some specs are better for pvp.
I think luck should probably be used in lots of other crafting. Maybe even have a stack with 3 exotics in the MF to increase the precursor chance :p
I remember orr at launch, so much whining… the zone was easy. You just watched the mob and dodged the pull.
Play burst skill warrior, hits give you resource for your special move.
Why can’t I ever face eles like this -_-
Welcome back!
I suggest playing the living story if you have the gems, it’s pretty cool and has some nice drops
Ele never had weapon switching btw
