You are fully able to just buy a bunch of those items when you are there, and then you never need to go over there in order to fix it.
The Forges themselves are never used in the crafting of them however.

I have crafted Ascended items, and as far as I am aware you do not need to use the Mystic Forge in order to complete those. So how is it relevant?

I also find it extremely unlikely that you keep crafting Legendaries everyday and thus need to run between the Crafting Station and Mystic Forge.

I keep hearing people complaining about how updates are only zerg-fests, but for some reason those people seem to completely ignore the fact that there is more stuff than that. It has been the case for every single update these last few months.

He is selling stuff now because he was ordered to do it by the Lionguard. If he had not they would basically have executed him (they actually say it to him directly. Either he becomes a quartermaster, or they will hang him).

On another note. I got a golden ticket to another NCsoft game. Arena.net will probably need to work hard to convince me not to abandon gw2 all together after this weekend.

All they’ve been doing so far is convincing me that buy to play is not in the best interest of players. Do not enjoy being ‘nickle and dimed’ to enjoy the game that has sub par content. Save for a couple of saving graces.

I might have missed something but why would you even need the Mystic Forge when you are crafting? And how is this somehow essential?

It is rather funny that you are still shouting about abandoning GW2.
Why not just get it over with? You have been “threatening” with that for a rather long time now, and yet here you still are, update after update complaining about how bad it is and how you will leave the game.

Well to be fair they never actually claimed that EVERYTHING would move to Vigil Keep.
They said essential things, which would mean things unique to Lion’s Arch, and all those things are fully available at the Vigil Keep for no charge whatsoever.

And lets be honest: How many of you actually used Lion’s Arch for crafting in the first place? It was after all one of the worst areas for it.

You will still have access to all those things at the Vigil Keep.
The new item simple lets you teleport to a more private area from anywhere, just like the Royal Terrace in DR.

Interesting that you decided to ignore the part of my post where I pointed out that they did tell us those “6 hours (I can’t seem to recall very many patches coming that early to be honest)” that it would be delayed to afternoon server-time.
So we KNOW that it will be released later than usual, we KNOW that it is a bit delayed, and yet people here seems to think that we haven’t gotten any information whatsoever.

You will enter from a separate portal, and play the mission as usual. The Personal Story is locked in time, so LA being destroyed now doesn’t really matter for the Personal Story.

Patch-dates are always based on ArenaNets time, so they still have about 10 hours before they fail to deliver what was promised.

It is rather likely that they are trying to figure out what they can and can’t get into the patch, and thus they can’t really post patch-notes until that is decided (and by then they are most likely also ready to release the patch.

To be fair Nike is also a name used by people, so it is fully possible that the poster is actually called Nike, and thus it would make sense to use it

They can’t really give information in every single time-zone in the whole world after all.

Current time in Seattle is 11:10 in the “morning”.

ArenaNet finds something that can potentially break loads of stuff.
They have two choices:
1: Delay the release a few hours
2: Risk it and release it “on time”

No matter which of these choices they made people would be kittened. But lets be realistic here.
Is it not better to wait a couple of hours (or until tomorrow for us in Europe) than potentially not be able to play at all for several days due to issues?

I am still running around in WvW with my Warrior, and I have not seen any change in survivability and/or killing time since the release of Ascended Armor. So clearly the difference isn’t big enough to be noticeble.

For the record I am running around with Ascended Hammer and Ascended Rings, but the rest is exotic still, and since it really doesn’t seem to make me lose, I don’t really see why I would need to change it.

Nothing points towards it being a one-time event with a way too good chest at the end.
And one would assume that they would have told us by now if it would be one.

I am assuming you are talking about the Edge of the Mists tab in the achievement panel? (Since the other three achievements doesn’t really have much to do with Edge of the Mists).

Actually lordkrall the Sylvari WERE effected by Ventari’s teachings – or did you miss the fact that our Sylvari often going around saying things like “Where life goes, so too should you” (or whatever the quote is).

Malyck is shown to be quite a bit different to our Sylvari. He is not quite as peaceful as a dreamer – he’s quite open to the idea of revenge and is sort of more like a mix of both Nightmare and Dream. That implies that Ventari’s tablet has influenced the way our Sylvari grow and the ideals they have – I mean of course it has, any ideal that is held THAT close to you from birth is going to have a massive impact, whether you embrace it like the Dreamers or reject it completely like the Nightmare Court.

I have simply stated that not all Sylvari were, seeing as not all Sylvari are born of the Pale tree.

The thing about it not being Ventari was simply about who planted the seed. It was not Ventari, it was Ronan.

And the fact that there are Sylvari that is born outside of the Pale Tree does make it fully possible that they originally were something else.
There seems to be more than just the one seed that Ronan took in the cave after all.

I think it has more to do with the fact that less and less optimistic people uses these forums, because they get tired of all the hate going on.

Yeah.. except the fact that they have already confirmed that they will move all essential services (Asura Gates and such) to Vigil Keep for now.
Which would suggest that they will destroy quite a bit.

They have also confirmed that the Personal Story parts will be entered by a special new portal, and since the Personal Story is “locked in time” it would work even with a destroyed LA.

Well they DID mention her (and hinted about her) quite some time before she was actually revealed.

The first time we had hints about here was back during Flame and Frost and that is about a year ago. And that was about half a year before she was officially revealed.

And all those people that she worked with might very well had several promising students, and thus wouldn’t single her out specifically until she started surfacing again. Especially since it is rather many years between those situations and today.

Those numbers are of course completely pointless without knowing how many actually answered the survey. And when we have those numbers we would also need to know how many people are actually playing in order to get a good statement.

Lets say 100 players answered the survey. That would mean 68 didn’t want a new season. But that is 68 out of MILLIONS of potential players, so it is really rather small part of the actual playerbase.

Yes there are 6 known, in Tyria (the continent, not the planet).
There is no information about if there are any Dragons around in Cantha or Elona.

There are however things that DO point towards there being at least one Elder Dragon on Cantha, due to a comment made about Glint and Kuunavang being similar AFTER the reveal of Glint being a Dragon Champion was revealed.

The game is balanced around 5 players. It is really as simple as that.
The bigger the party-sizes are the harder stuff will be to balance. And it will also mean it takes longer and longer to actually get a group together if you don’t play with guildies/friends.

And this was also rather clear long before launch and have been fully available since then, so it is really your own fault for not reading up on the game before buying it.

That does of course depend.
One could defend the lack of recognition simply with the fact that the Asura are ashamed that they are being over-shined by a salad. Asura does seem to have issues with other races being better than them at some things after all.

But there is a rather major issue there: She became Scarlet before GW2 in-game timeline even starts, rather long before even (she become Scarlet around 1321AE, GW2 Personal Story starts in 1325AE and the Living Story in 1326AE with the current year being 1327AE), so HOW would we be able to meet her before that?

This isn’t the first time (and most likely not the last either) where they add “secret” achievements. The updated Tequatl had one as well (survive the mega-wave after a failed attempt).

There is literally no mention whatsoever in the update notes about any sorts of achievements being tied to these buckets (or the existence of said buckets for that matter).

The Flame and Frosts sets were released a year ago, not a month.
But I assume you talk about the other dye sets?

Why not?
If some people could decide they would have them in there at all time.
It isn’t really dumb at all. They don’t gain more money from waiting a year between selling them.

It does not need to be fixed, since it is not broken. They are hidden achievements.

Keep in mind that Season 1 of the Living Story is ending soon. So it is quite possible (maybe even likely?) that we will see most if not all of the LS-store items coming back for a short while.

Evon does seem way more interested in the defenses of Lion’s Arch than Kiel ever was after all.
