Clearly.
Which is why I was hoping they would catch this (considering the half a dozen posts about it) and fix it quickly. They’ll certainly know how by now.
First off all, It is against the forum rules to bump.
I know this bug is bugging you and I understand it is a big inconvinience. But please also understand that the devs can’t make changes without bring out a new build. I certainly dont want to push all people out of game and reset the WvW matches, cause a few people have a graphical issue with a certain armorset.
Also understand that it is not everyone using the armor set. I have the set and I don’t have this issue. But even if I had I certainly didn’t want them to make a hotfix just for this. Do you really want everyone to be kicked out of the game and all WvW matches be reset for this small inconvenience to be fixed??

Hi and welcome to the bug section. Please make sure you read the sticky’s before posting here. I would specially guide your attention to:
’
Read the forums and search for existing issues before you post: Please use the search function or skim through the forums and see if your issue has already been reported. If you can add more detail to an existing thread, it’s much more helpful to us than creating a new one for the same issue.

This was reported and dev was so nice to take the time to give an explanation. Please be kind to him by appreciating his kindness.

There are plenty of light armors that doesnt look like mary popin’s or masquerade stuff, so no need here.
1: Arah armor
2: CoE armor
3: Twilight armor
4: Named armor
5: Dry bones armor
6: Tactical armor
7: Vigil armor
8: Whispers armor
And many many cultural sets, depending on the race.
Also the mary poppins look or masquerade look is often cause by dye’s. So it might be advisable to study armors with different dye sets on.

No, Layka is right. Heroes killed the MMO in GW1. I think most of your issues are being adressed with the in game dungeon finder they are a developping. I think that arenanet is doing a great job to promote teamplay over soloplay. The beauty bout GW2 is how it really rewards your for playing with others.

First off all, there is a pretty good overall thread bout this allready. I understand your frustration, but there isn’t need to make another thread.
The decission to do things this way has two reasons.
The first reason is assurance for arenanet they will get the money.
The second reason is assurance for you that your credit card isn’t mis-used.
I know these measures are frustratating and I understand there is a fierce debate going on internally at Arenanet. Besides letting your frustration know i nthe right thread you can off course always use the ultimate power you have as a customer. Thuat is to not buy from the shop that obvious dont really want your money.

If you have completed a map and an update adds a new PoI you do not need it for world completion
That’s not true, it says 98% on my map now that the patch is up and I had 100% on it before the patch. The new POI is currently unattainable it looks like.
My main concern is the other POI that seems to just be “missing.”
Yes it says that, but it isn’t needed
If you got world completion nobody is getting it off you.
This is how the world completion title is being tracked. The world completion title is being tracked by map completion. Whenever you complete a map the title tracker will mark that as done (and a special completed icon will apear on the map loading screen. If after completing that specifick map a new poi is added you keep that special icon and it will stay marked as completed for the title.
When you have all needed maps completed with that special icon you will get the final reward.the confusing part is the tracker on the world map. He is tracking all poi’s (and other things) but it has technicly nothing to do with the title, use it as an indication what you need.
As far as I can tell, this is incorrect. I /had/ Gendarran Fields completed until the new PoI dropped. Now I’m missing one and the completed status on the map has been stripped off my toon. Strangely though, I do still have Krytan Explorer completed.
As far as I can tell you are stuborn in making evryone confused. Does this mean I will get my reward for completing the map again?? NO. Does this mean They will strip my star off my character?? No.
Reward is reward!!
The fact that you actually show you dont know zip bout what your talking bout means you shouldnt discuss my answer in this section. The krytan exploration title has nothing!!! to do with map completions and map completion trackers. You get that for unfogging map. Although there is some synergy when doing it it is totally unrelated. Please read what I’m saying. Once a map is completed (getting a reward chest) there is no need to ever return to that map. Even if they added a new PoI.
That may be true, but that wasn’t even the point of this thread. I was not given a reward chest for map completion. I was hoping someone knew how to access this POI so I was able to get it. There is no reason to be rude to someone offering suggestions or help. Thanks to all of you who offered positive advice. I suppose I will wait until this new jumping puzzle is released and see if that is how I can gain access the new POI.
Woha!! Who is rude?? You ask a question, you get an honest and accurate reply. You start confusion by doiubting the reply, I re-explain politly the answer nd the correctness. You in insist in insulting me by saying I’m wrong, and when I’m reacting kitten ed off, you call me rude. You are the one rude in my opinion by insulting my knowledge off the game. Specially cause you show having no understanding how it works yourself. If you want to learn show you are open to it instead of presenting false facts.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Even better, Don’t try to help at all.
I have seen a mesmer casting a portal on one of the orbs in the quaggan baby puzzle. The portal is 5 times as big and makes it impossible to get on that Orb. Even if I wanted a portal I would never make that jump then.
Also realise the other side of the story. A guardian can use these skills for swiftness:
Symbol of faith (AoE marker on the ground)
‘Retreat’ (applies swiftness to you and 5 allies around you)
Smiter’s boon (applies shiftness to allies befre you, is part of an elite skill, and no use for it in JP’s)
So Guardians can’t get swiftness on themselves without putting it on others. When on my guardian I try to time it right and not to annoy others but I can’t help it when you are on a level higher then me and I didnt see you to catch my boon.
So I do agree that people should consider others more when they are doing a jumpingpuzzle, but it is impossible to never catch swiftness from someone else by accident.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Yeah, the forum is a bit buggy with replacing the words. Some are fixed, but others are not. The best example is on that is fixed now a days. But Kessex hills would be changed in into Keskitten hills.
Or like yesterday I said in a threat it is a bit…. chaotic

It looks like they added a PoI in the jumping puzzle thats still closed off.
As stated in a different thread, if you got 100% map completion reward for gendarran fields before yesterdays update you dont need that PoI to get 100% world completion.
If you are being blocked for completing it now cause you didnt finish it earlier and now are left with this PoI I would urge you to start a thread in the bugs section of the forum. They made the same mistake with the dead end poi in divinity’s with the dragon bash update and it was corrected rather quickly.
Worse that can happen is that you have to wait a week cause then the puzzle will open up.

Not really cause I’m personally not interested, but this tool might help: http://godcraft.com/x/gw2/default.htm
It uses the new api’s to track events in every map and every server. It is a kittenaotic, but if you know the map and the events well you can use it to track when the merchants are up on a specifick server.

So long as what you transmute it to is not 80th level.
Any time either a source or destination is 80, you need a crystal. Otherwise, stone.
Edit: And I ‘always’ forget this when I plan. I wanted to put the Whispers legs and boots on my Elementalist, who happens to be Priory. So my Ranger, who is Whispers, bought the legs and boots for my Elementalist, and I figured that’d be 2 crystals, which isn’t so bad. But, I always forget it’s really ‘4’, b/c the Ranger needs to put them onto some whites to make them account bound and put them in the bank (using the white’s stats). That’s 2, b/c the source are both 80. The Elementalist takes them out and applies them to whatever exotic 80 armor she wants to (in this case, magic find gear). That’s 2 more crystals going from some < 80 whites to exotic…which are both 80.
Hmmmm….
1: Buy the item thats in the right order.
2: buy as cheap level 5 white item on the tp (or keep a drop) for 5 copper or so and use a transmutation crystal to transder the skin to.
3: place the level 5 accountbound item in the bank
4: use a 2th crystal to put the skin on an exotic item on the character you want it with.
Still only 2 crystals used.

Account hacked! items sold and messed up!
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: mercury ranique.2170
The emails you got from arenanet are not from arenanet. So your first step is to stop doing what it is saying. They are sent to you buy the hackers.
Arenanet will never warn you like this by email. If they suspect you of trouble they will simply lock your account untill you contact them.
The second step is to contact support at support .guildwars2.com (ask a question) to get control over your account back
The third step is to review your security and make sure this will not happen again in the future. A good thing is to read this article
When you got control over your account back and made sure this wont happen again you can update the support ticket to ask for an account restoration. This means that your account is restored to a point before the hack. You will loose a few days of time you played yourself as well.
Do not skip step 3!! You can only get an account restoration once in your acounts lifetime. So if you dont tighten security and get hacked right again you will loose everything again and you will not get your items back.
Good luck!

The great collapse in divinity’s reach is guarded by shining blade soldiers. The gossiping citizens there also explain they where removed by the shining blade when the the first cracks appeared.
This made me wonder. The shining blade are the personal guard of the royal family. The guarding and removal of citizen should be more a matter for the seraph or maybe the ministry guards, but not the shining blade (or tell me when I’m wrong and why). The only reason I could think of is that the great collapse was caused by enemy’s of the royal family like e.g. the white mantle.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Nope, Participating in the entire chain rewards your with more karma, coin and experience (cause you do more events), but there is no record being kept for the end reward and you just got lucky.

It’s all in the title. Anyone know what time they’ll be releasing patch notes? I know it’s only 7am in Seattle but I’m curious!
The exact moment isn’t communicated. This is due to some server lag cause of people trying to grab the update asap in the past. However if past experience is a good guide, they normally push the button between 8 and 9 am Seatle time (prolly when the person resposnable comes into the office and had his first cuppa coffee)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
The thing is that the rules are as always black and white and reality is much more grey.
Lets give an example. One of the guildmembers in my guild has a nice amount of servers in his basement for his job, one of these he installed with a teamspeak server wich we use with our guild. He isnt askign the guild for any money and does that from the friendship we have as a group of people. This also means that in return we are nicer to him then to other guildmembers when it comes to crafting his gear (in the way that he gets it crafted for free instead of the cost of the mats).
The most important thing is that he isn’t saying to us, You have to craft this for me or I pull the plug out of the teamspeakserver. We are doing it cause we are thankfull with the service he is providing us.
When it comes to rules you always have to see the difference between the rule itself which is black and white and the purpose of the rule (stopping criminal organisations making profit that belongs to Arenanet).
So the answer would be no, it isn’t allowed, but I doubt if Arenanet will care if they would find out.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I don’t think it is referring to all of Lion’s Arch. The name under a town in brackets is an indicator of the name of the levation level of that town your seeing on the map. So is Houlbrak standard called (lodge level).
More a side effect of a gaming mechanic and I don’t see it as a reference to the entire place.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Small advice: wait a litle bit. today is an update with what arenanet calls: ‘We’re introducing our largest balance patch ever in this build, which includes significant updates to traits and skills to introduce more viable build diversity. Every single profession trait line is seeing changes and we’ve also made updates to some less popular skills to improve their effectiveness.’
More info here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/upcoming-skill-and-trait-changes/
So anything OP now might stop being OP in a few hours from now.

First bounce question is where you live in the world, and off course I dont need your streetadress, just if it is in Europe or the rest of the world. This matters cause european servers are cut of from northern america servers (wich also has everything not european).
I personally play on the european server Gandarra. I have alsways seen the chat be very nice and friend and there is a great atmosphere. We are okyaish in WvW (pvp/pve hybrid) but msot active in PvE and I rarely have to play alone.
Gandarra is an english server so people expect you to talk in english in mapchat and in random party’s. The majority of guilds are english-speaking as well, though there are some foreign language guilds (dutch, polish, turkish, croatian, italian).
Ow and if I’m not busy with helping guildmembers I’m always happy to give a helping hand.

Hi Shiro,
I would advise against blaiming Arenanet from scamming as it looks like your doing.
The second remark bout the situation is that unfortunally on some forums where people using third party programs gather. They advise to claim they got hacked and even offer services of creating suspicious log-in attempts to simulate a hacked account.
This is likely the reason Arenanet is somewhat harsher in believing your claim that you where hacked then they where before.
Now Iam not going to say wether you got hacked or not. Unfortunally the bad people can be very convincing liars, so I leave that judgement to the support liason.
I would like to point out that when agreeing to the terms of service you agreed to take full responsability for what happens with your account. This include what happens with the account if you loose control.
I do hope on your understanding. If you are the good guy i’m very sadd that you are getting the victum of very very very bad people misusing the system. The best way to prevent this from happening in the future (in this game or any other online game) is reading Mike O’Briens article bout account security.

I was wondering if weapon skins such as the Molten, Sclerite and the Jade weapons (after the Dragon Bash) will make a return.
They are really attractive skins and it would be a shame to cut off the access to them.
Totally unknown. Looking at gw1 the game has mostly been on a one year cycle. meaning the temporary skins where avaliable once per year. The only exceptions where the festival hats, they where different every year for each festival untill GW2 was bout to come out and things where replaced for a fully automatic system.
The things with these skins are that it is a proof that you have been there to many. Now it sounds very normal to get e.g. the dragon wings, but if you are still playing in lets say 2020, it will be seen as an oditiy and a sign of deidcation to the game if you can still show the 2013 wings.
But it might be that they do something totally different then in gw1. So the true answer is unknown.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
hmmmmm, halfway fractals, do you mean a daily run of three and you where kicked during the second??
There are many reasons why to vote kick someone out of a party. If it was cause you staid with them all the time but wanted someone who didnt do a thing get the end reward, then its wrong. If it is like you said halfway then it is the freedom to play with who you like to play. I have no doubt bout you being a nice person and I dont see reason to not play with you, but if 2/4 party members decide they dont like to play with you anymore they can kick you. It is maybe not the nicest thing to do, but it is as the game is designed. If it was at the end to get the reward for e.g. a friend who didnt do anything then it is something else.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Again, they are not arguing that what happened didn’t happen, they are saying tzhey can’t give you the items. So its not a matter that they dont see that you are right, they just cant replace the items
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
First off all, there is no indication that we will ever go to Cantha or Elona. I’m saying this cause some people think that just cause we went there in gw1 we will go there again. So my answer is fully in respect of the fact that we might never go there.
Mhenlo and Cynn both are Tyrians (continent) and went to Cantha to help out Master Togo. They sticked around with us and followed us to Elona afterwards and later on also have been to Eye of the north. This means that there is no reason to asume they have descendants in Cantha.
Talon Silverwing is a Tengu. All Tengu where exiled from Cantha by Emperor Usoku. They where the last to leave there and reunited with their Krytan tribes in the dominion of winds.
Though the dialogue during the norn fighting tournament indicates that Melonni wants Koss to come back with her. This back is never specified nor if she was succesfull. All we know for sure is that they where last seen in Tyria and not in Elona.
This goes as well for many other famous npc’s though like Razah and Talon, so it is difficult to take that as lore, though the dialogue is giving more purpose to their relation.

9 pages in this topic, but not a single answer from devs….
Devs never! answer in this section. The reason has to do with copyright claims. Arenanet is reading everything here, but if they react to it and then implement it the maker of the suggestion good make a valid claim for getting credit (money) for the suggestion. This way Arenanet can deny that they implemented something cause they saw the suggestion and dont get into trouble.
This isnt a big problem for this suggestion cause it is not new technology and more a request, but policy has to be policy.
Also it is against the forum rules to ask a reaction from arenanet employees.

there are cosmetic mounts in the game. If you look around however how many times they are used it seems the amount of people interested in them is very limited. Showing it is actually not worthwhile to create them.
Ow links to the mounts currently available (one can be bought right now, the other one is currently not for sale):

Indeed.
Just keep in mind for the full 6/6 effect all the time, you need 7 runes, this cause when udnerwater your head piece is replaced by your breathing apparatus. So it is a good plan to put on on there two
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
you can only apply one rune per armor piece. That is why you get a warning message that the current upgrade will be destroyed, so you wasted two superior runes.
The message 1/6, 2/6,3/6 goes up when you apply the same rune to different armorpieces you are wearing.

To craft things in the mystic forge you dont need to max a crafting profession.
However, to make the legendary weapon you need to craft two items. Wich ones depends on the legendary weapon. Each one need a recipe that cost 10 gold. to craft those items you need a crafting discipline at max level (wich crafting discipline depends on the legendary weapon).
Best place to start reading is here: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Legendary_weapon

The bug section is ment for reporting bugs. As stated in the sticky, they dont comment on each bug and what you report here goes straight to the developpers.
If you want support (not the devs) to manually correct this you can ask them by filing a support ticket at support.guildwars2.com (ask a question). Within max 72 hours they will comment on it.
Mind though, they wont take action if it turns out to be a user error and they have limited tools to alter things on the live servers. It might be that they can’t do this for you. It never hurts to ask them though.

For what level is the armor your trying to upgrade?? the req. level 50 for the doublon is for the armor piece its going on. So if the armorpiece is for e.g. lvl 49 you cant upgrade it (and that wouldnt be a bug)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
You mean this one??http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Order_of_Whispers_armor/Medium
That is the order of whispers armor. You can only buy it if you join the order of whispers (round level 26). If you are allready in a different order there is a (expensive) trick to get the skin anyway. lemme know if you need info bout that.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
if you allready have a level 80 character the best way to make money is doing explorable mode dungeons. A good team does any path in bout 30 minutes and makes 1 gold per run. Some warriors with specifick builds and gear run CoF path one in 9 minutes.
If you dont have a level 40 character it is harder to make money. Besides playing the game you can try to ‘play’ the market. This means buying cheap in the hope to sell things again with profit. As you might guess, it is possible to make a very good amount of profit, but also loose a good amount of money. There are some guides on the internet, but many traders don’t share all their secrets (cause it is basicly all bout making money over the profit of others). You can get rich but you can also get unlucky like me.
When the second southsun cove event was announced I tried to make a small gamble with karka shells. I thought the worse that could happen was that more people wanted the ancient karka shell trinket allready in game and the best thing to happen was that they would add new usages for them. So I bought 40 karka shells. I didn’t know the whole island would be a karka shell rain, and I didn’t expect the tier 5 mats train from Orr relocating to Southsun cause of a nerf. So basicly instead of a slight increase in price as I expected I got a big decrease in price and I lost bout 1,5 gold this way

GW2 is definitly not dying. I would like to see an expansion and there is some good evidence we can expect one before the end of the year. But I also want them to do it right.
Factions was in my personal opinion too much rushed and had too many mistakes they learned from and recitified later on. I honestly believe that the mistakes they made with factions has ultimatly given us GW2 instead of Utopia.
GW1 was becomming a monster when it came to skill balance. SF-farming was a major thread to the economy, and being able to level to max level in less then 3 hours is way to quick.
Don’t get me wrong, factions has some good things as well, but it was too much rushed and not thought trough enough in my personal opinion.
So I do hope for expansions, but I also hope for good expansions and not rushed ones.
To comfort you a lil bit. In a recent monthly business report NCsoft (the distributor of GW2) has announced that an expension for gw2 is expected inthe second half of 2013. It’s just not been announced yet by arenanet and some contradicting comments from that site. I think that the reason is cause it is true, but they wanted to be the one to announce it.
-edit: And I do know that factions is actually a campaign, but I don’t see much difference in it when it comes to developing and rushing things-
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
