hmmmm
This is I think not the right section cause this is not an account issue. Like you said yourself you where foolishly
I therefore don’t think that support will give you a free transfer back and forward to get your stuff.
Maybe you know someone on SoS you trust good enough to help you out (a family member or someone you know for a long time??).
You could make that person member off your guild with guildstash privelege’s. Then you have to wait 72 hours (cooldown for new members to be able to access guildstash). The person can then take the items out and mail them to you.

To clear out the obvious things.
Arenanet doesnt ban automaticly. Potential harmfull activity’s like RMT is detected automaticly. But the suspension only happens after a GM reviews the matter.
This means that the potential harmfull activity that got marked is not by definition the last thing that you did in game and it can be easy something from days or even weeks ago. Sometimes an RMT get caught and support goes through the list of all buyers in the past to even months ago.
This doesn’t mean that GM’s aren’t making mistakes. false positives are possible and it can happen that people get banned by accident A while ago there was some controversy over the amount of false positives. The support liason said here that the goal should always be 0 false positives, even though it is an unachievable goal. She also promised to start an internal discussion how to polish up the proces. This has resulted in a stead decrease of false positives.
In the end having followed this section of the forum for a good amount of time rest asure that everytime someone claimed to have had a false positive it was either solved by unsuspending or the supportliason made clear with very good research that it was not a false positive. I never had any doubt bout the support liason.
To both people in this thread claiming you are such a false positive. I am not in the position to say wether you are or not. Most import is that you file a support ticket so they will investigate the reasons for your suspension again. Good luck with that.

So, I can repurchase the game right now and forward it to her?
Is it a 100% guarantee that I will get a refund because I don’t want to buy the game again right now and find out later that I will not be receiving the refund.
She wants to play really badly because I told her how great the game is so if it’s possible, I don’t mind buying the game right now and getting the refund later, only if I am 100% sure that the refund will come through.
Only support can give you a 100% answer but I see now reason why you should recieve a refund. The game serial isn’t used or used by someone who hasn’t had the right to do so, You can always get your credit card company to get your money back. Arenanet has a 6 month refund policy for even used accounts. So it all indicates you will get a refund and I have no reason to doubt it. But I’m not Arenanet so I’m not giving you the 100%.

Verata wasn’t the owner of the wizards tower. He was outside and trying to find a way in.
The only few things we know bout the ownership of that tower is that the current owner relocated it. Indicating that it currently has an owner (he/she is called Isgarren by the inhabitants of Wizards Fief).

thanks for the info
i dont really get a chance to do arah exp, every time i try i always either run out of time or party decides to quit cause of mr giant wolf
Though not lore related, there are four things important when doing arah xp mode.
a: time – for an unexperienced group you have to keep in mind that it can take up to three hours (more for path 4).
b: get an experienced guide. Having someone with you who knows the tricks and what to do is a great bonus.
c: Have an experienced party. Make Arah the last dungeon-paths you do
d: all should have minimum exotic gear. In other dungeosn you can do without, but in Arah it can make the difference.

Back items are a bit unique sharing both characteristics of armor pieces and trinkets.
They do count as armor cause the can be visable and can be damaged.
But like trinkets, there is no armor class restriction. So an accountbound backpiece like the sclerite back can be used on a warrior for a while, then put into the bank and picked up by your ele.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Yip. Support has to track your order, make the serial that has been sent to that mailadress invalid and refund the money.
After that is done you can re-pruchase the game. The way to gift the game is different then what your doing and might cause account ownership disputes in the future. This is how it should go.
1: You purchase the game with your credit card and give your emailadress with it. Not hers!!
2: you recieve the serial code. This is the actual game and you forward it to her. Make sure that you give her proof that you are giving it. (e.g. making a statement like, I hope you enjoy this gift from me). This means she has proof that the serial is given to her.
3: Now she uses the serial to make an account and she has to agree to the terms of service. When making that account she has to use a valid emailadress off course.

The mechanics behind DR are speculative. The main reason is that Arenanet does its best to hide the exact mechanics. The reason is that it is anti botter mechanic. When the exact mechanics are open its easy to program a bot to get round it.
Bottom line for regular player is that if you get hit by DR all you have to do is change area (not even map) for atleast 30 minutes and your good to go. As soon as your changed you got rid of the effect.

You have a 5% listing fee (money you have to pay for listing the item). When you actually sell the item you have to pay 10% tax. The projected profit only reflects the selling price-10% tax. The 5% listing fee is paid by you and not by the buyer, so not seen in the projected profit.

There is no plan on bringing this back. This was announced to be a weekend thingy, and it was very easy to get during that weekend. The overflows where not bugged. The fireworks did run as announced every 2 hours at dawn (but the time of dawn differs per server).
So no it wasn’t bugged
Yes it was a one time event
No it will not come back
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
Is it allowed??Yes
Is it almost idiotic for Arenanet to put a chache there? Yes, living story is supposed to be PvE, besides that it is the Skyppirates of Tyria
Is this decission a disaster when it comes to maintaning the nice and positive attitude support and the community wants? Yes. It is almost asking for flames in EB-chat.
Is it heroic to kill PvE title hunters or are the points and tokens gained by it a proof of your eliteness in WvW: NO!!
Don’t get me wrong. I think that each member of the community is personally responsable to behave in a good manner. Itr is why me and my guildmates decided yesterday without trying to leave the chaching out title at 6/7. We don’t want to have any part in this. Towards the end of this chapter when everything is died out we might go in. But we are annoyed and we don’t want to risk loosing our control in temper.
I also think however, it is Arenanet’s responsability to prevent things to get out of hand. In general they are doing a great job (shared loot, dynamic events, and no boss camping). Sometimes it is needed to take action. The /l and /m flames round the Lyssa-event chain is a good example. In this case I think the dev’s made a very bad mistake.
Gaile,
I know you are prolly not allowed to comment this being an internal Arenanet matter, but I do hope you track down the responsable dev’s and have a good word with them bout this. I also hope that your GM’s keep this mistake in mind when judging people who where not polite in the chat there.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
No right answer indeed. Class mechanics make it all blury. My guardian has actuall low health, but a huige amount of armor and thoughness and bout 11 things I can do to protect her or heal her.
My engineer has more health, but lower armor, and lesser protection (though still good one). Obvious my guardian can survive longer, but is designed to stay closer and catching more damage as well.
The survivability depends on:
- Health (vitality + class basics)
- Thougness (+armor basic)
- healing power
- traits
- trait skills
- weapon skill
- utility skills
- class mechanic like e.g. deathshroud on necro or vritues on guardian
- the combination of all above
Then all of this has also be in balance with how quick you can kill foes (killing quickly means you have to invest more in damage but you need lesser defense cause enemy’s have lesser time to kill you).

Hi Geo,
You are right, you are not the only person owning more then one copy of GW2 and it is perfectly allowed to sent gold between them. However at the moment support is claiming you did differently and has been involved in gold selling for real life currency.
Off course I can’t say whats is the right story. I know support can make mistakes. I also know that bad people come here being very convincing liar’s.
So please understand that support has the same issue when separating the right from the wrong.
You are saying the last communications where cut and paste?? does that mean you got a more personalised answer earlier. My experience is that the first reaction is almost always automatic (to filter out spam and other rubish), but reacting to that normally results in a more clearly answer.
If you feel that you have been mistreated, feel free to wait for the supportliason. She is
rather nice and fluffy (though ferocious if you try to pull tricks on her).
In the case you want her help and did hit a dead wall at support you dont haveto do anything else. Good luck!!

Nope, this is considered a user error as the item clearly says Unique in the description. I have heard you can put an infusion in one of them and dont infuse the other. This results in two different unique items, wich makes them both unique again. it is worth trying it.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
The website you mentioned is bout how good each world is in WvWvW. You cna also look at the leaderboards on the official site. A small warning. Seeing your interested in both WvW and PvE I would advise to not go to a top 3 WvW server but a subtop server. These are good balanced between WvW and PvE (where the top 3 have the focus mostly on WvW).
As far as I know there are no dedicated south-eastern europe servers. So I would suggest an international/UK server. I am personally on Gandarra. We dont have an active LGBT-community, but I have never seen any issues by it (besides the obvious teenager thinking its ok to call someone G in a nasty way, but he got banned really soon).
In my own guild We definitly have not an issue with it. As far as I know we have one B, but there might be more. Like I said it’s not an issue and we don’t care if someone is L, G, B or T.
Ow and this is definitly the right place.

hmmmm, your right, im so used in this game by having 6 (Gods, dragons, etc.) I forgot there where only 5 races back then (and now too actually)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
as far as I know, only asura’s have two eye goggles (on cultural armor sets)
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
It always confused me why forgotten were always cited for some unknown structures and alot of times people don’t think the seer would build anything like that. I would assume their name “seers” would make sense to building the hall because of it’s vision giving/fate leading well.
Or something I would imagine could be that it is as old as the last rise of the dragons and was build by all 6 ancient races, maybe as a symbol of their alliance. Hence the shape of the hall (6 sites). The statue might be a sculpture’s expression of all 6 races. But then again, I can be totally wrong.
the current amount of destruction can be caused by an elder dragon. We know that specially the pool is a magical artifact. I could imagine one of the elder dragons (Jormag?) sending one of his luitenants to the structure trying to get inside and steal this magic for his master. the magical fortification preventing this but sustaining significant damage.

only during ingame night time. The game doesnt know exactly where you are in rl or in what timezone.
The in game cycle of night and day is a lot faster then in real life and it last 2 hours. 80 minutes are day and 40 minutes are night. So this sigil only works 1/3th of the time.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
1: This is not black and white to answer and it highly depends on what you find fun and competitive. Guardian has some builds that are hard to crack by enemy players, but then again some enemy players have develloped pretty good tactics to counter it, and maybe just that is your cup of tea.
2: The specs you mean only are important for an armor piece. these are starter quality and you will likely replace them very soon (when playing PvE, in PvP you get other equipment). The skin of these items however are unique. There is often no other way of obtaining that skin. So it only really matters if you want a specific skin.
3: Nope. There is actually only two pvp related items in the store. The first is a finisher stone, changing the animation when you ‘finish them’ someone. This is purely graphical. The other is a glory booster, this gives you a small advantage when it comes to rising rank, but rank doesnt improve your skills and the advantage is rather small.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
The starting area in pvp has a locker that holds all the armor and weapon skins in the game if you want to find a skin that’s unique
Where is this? The only lockers I’ve seen have been the ones where you stash extra PvP gear.
Those are the ones.
Every pvp-weapon skin and armor skin has a dedicated slot in there. You can rightclick each slot and click preview to view that armorpiece or in your case weaponskin (even when the slot is empty).
All PvP-weapon skins are available in PvE (or WvW) and there are no PvE weapon-skins that don’t have a PvP-version.
The same goes for the armor btw, but there are two exceptions where skins never made it to PvE but where put into PvP.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!

Arise, opressed of Tyria!
First off al, a common misconception is that this title has to do with waypoints or PoI’s. Those are needed for map completion and world completion. The region explorer titles are rewarded for unblurring the map.
The best tactic to get this title however is by start to do map completion on the maguuma maps, cause this will assure you that 95% or more is unblurred as well. That doesn’t count however the few places with no map completion item (like e.g. a PoI). For that I recommend using the wiki. You need off course do this for all maguuma maps (don’t forget mount maelstrom and sparkfly swamp) but I will use ‘caledon forest’:http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Caledon_Forest as an example.
Please open the wiki page for this map to follow me. in the table with the area’s you will see many area’s with atleast a PoI, waypoint, skillpoint vista or heart (see my note bout hearts). These are area’s you must have visited when you completed this map. There are some however that only have a jumpingpuzzle or mini dungeon in it or nothing at all. For the Caledon forest map these are: Dreamdark Enclave and The Rowanwoods.
These are the two area’s you might miss in the caledon forest map. So see if these area’s are named on the map (using the wiki to find reference to the location) and then move on to the other 4 Maguuma maps.
(note bout renown hearts: It is possible to do a renown heart without entering the area where the renown heart npc is. As far as I know this is never an issue due to clever or lucky mapdesign, but I wanted to mention it just in case)

I do not see the need for having alliances like in GW1. This is due to the system where you can join multiple guilds. I would like to see however an option to be able to read and chat in two more guild chat channels (besides the one your representing) and be able to customize the colours.
For those wanting to use alliances this gives that possibility (just join your alliance guild and have chat on for both your guild and your alliance guild).
B ut it would also give room for other forms, and give more freedom. The major problem now is to only be able to see chat from the guild your representing.

First of all I’m not a factfinder and can’t judge of a suspension is done in error or cause someone did what they did.
Denial however is a psychological defense mechanism that is very strong in social structures. Specially in smaller Guilds I have seen that people spend a lot of time online and plays a lot with the same people. Often guildmembers know more of someone then e.g. guildmembers. It is hard to admit you did something wrong and this means people often use the mechanism of denial towards friends and others. This can go so far that the person does actually has no recollection of things that have not been allowed.
In other words, it is easier to deny having done something wrong then admitting so often people wont tell guildmates the full story. This is often cause one is afraid of being judged on. It is important to give such person enough friendship to understand he/she wont be judged by the guild.

The most important source of information bout the Eye of the north (the hall of monuments is just a part of it) is from the gw1 cinematic ‘Arrival at the eye’
’
Vekk: “This is impressive, even by Asuran standards.”
Ogden Stonehealer: “No Dwarves made this. Is it human-built?”
<Party leader>: “No. This was put here by something more powerful than men.”
’
All from this is speculation. The asuran’s 250 years ago found it impressive (atleast Vekk, who was of average asura standards atleast, prolly sub top given his influence on the others). The dwarf didn’t have knowledge bout the place and suspected it to be human build. The human (us) actually seems to be the only one who has more knowledge by saying it was build by something more powerfull then men.
This would mean something that is more powerfull then any of the modern races (so not charr, human, sylvari, asura or norn. It is also not Dwarfen, otherwise Ogden would have said so.
So logic would say it would be Jotun, mursaat, seer’s or forgotten’s. But why would the dwarf in the company suspect humans to have build it?? They have more knowledge bout the elder races, and Ogden isn’t ignorant. Why suspect humans? And why does the human tends to know more then the dwarf
It is a long time enigma. But given this dialogue it is either one of the elder races (not dwarfes and jotun’s wouldn’t feel right, so either seers or forgotten or mursaat) or the human gods. If I was forced to put my money on anything I would say human gods. but only when forced cause I truly don’t know.
As for the damage. People expect the structure to be very old in GW1 but the above dialogue doesn’t indicate it. In GW1 it looks like it could have been build two days before we arrived, so we only know it was build before we arrived there and it wasn’t build by humans, dwarfs or asurans (and likely also not by norns, sylvari or charr). the current devastation could be cause of jormag’s rise. It could be by natural disaster, or just that between the arrival of the ebon vanguard and the previous users there wasn’t a big time gap, so maintenance was being done well till the humans left it.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
The true answer is unknown. What you are experiencing is diminishing returns (or DR). This is an anti-farm code punishing players for extensivly doing the same thing over and over.
For dungeon tokens (wich is often called DR but is actually a different mechanic) there is a very strict pattern. This pattern is per character and is reset when the daily rest is done (1h15 minutes from when I post this). For things like experience reward it is more difficult, it mostly character bound, but also account bound, so doing things on other characters helps, doing other things on the same character helps more.
The true mechanic after this is however unknown. This is an anti farming mechanic. on one hand designed to promote people to play different aspects off the game, but also to stop bots and users of third party programs to have an unfair advantage and do illegal things. For the last reason the exact mechanism in unknown and no communicated. if it was an answer as easy as you are asking, a bot programmer would have it very easy to program his bot to go around it.
Arise, opressed of Tyria!
I do all JPs just fine with or without swiftness or speed boosts. I tend to run with them on because it just speeds things up (naturally). I am generally ambivalent to this situation and will use my swiftness skills no matter what. If it bothers you, you need to say so in /say chat so that I know that you like moving slower. Then I will try to be conscientious of it (and more likely pull far enough ahead of you that you can’t get my boons). If you don’t say anything, it means you don’t care, and so I will continue doing what I was already doing.
Again it highly depends on the jumping puzzle and the moment the swiftness is applied to you. Specially the jumps you can overjump, it happens someone puts swiftness on you a split second before the jump and you end up over your target in the chasm below. It can happen, but both awareness of the people annoyed by it, that some classes dont have any other way of speedboosting and awareness of the people using them makes this a good game for all.
It can happen, but dont do it on purpose and try to avoid irritating others as well getting irritated by others. This should go for everything in life, so also jumpoing puzzles.

I totally agree.
Mystic forge.
Fractals.
portals from mysts and WvWvW
All festivals take place here
Transit point from and too allmost all regions
Close by all 3 order headquarters
Dungeon armor guys
only town with jumping puzzles.
LA is just too unique and therefore too active.
I have made a suggestion a few months ago and I think it is still important.
a: Make the Portal island an instance. There has also been suggestions to make an travle to la instant button (or stone like the HoM stone). From the portal island (wich should load in 5 seconds cause it is a personal instance that is very small) you can choose to enter the big city or go to another town. This way all the transit traffic is being kept out of the city. Just place a portal on the bridge from the island to the rest of the city and your done.
b: Make Mistlock Observatory a public area instead of an instance. It already has services like merchants and all. So make that the place where people doing the fractal dungeons can gather. just add a bank (or crafting stations) and your done.
Together with stopping more content in LA would make it turn down to a place with a loading time thats a quarter of what it is now.

I have tested this with WP’s added to orr a few months ago (it was possible to themall to be contested so they added two that are never ever contested). I did have to revisit the chantry of secrets but that was all.

Just contact support and explain to them that you made a mistake on your Display Name and would like to repurchase the game after a refund so you can make a new one(since you can’t change it yourself). They might not flag your CC if you explain. If they do, don’t you have more than 1 CC?
I would strongly suggest against this method. It is misuse of a system for something it ins’t intended for. You are basicly saying that the game is bad and you made a mistake buying it and then directly buying it again.
The displayname is often more a big thing for the person then for the people around them. Besides that, they are looking in ways of offering you and others a good and solid way to do this in the future.
