Stability Changes were a Bad Idea

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

The stab changing from a timed boon to a stacked boon was a bad idea:

“Stability: This boon has been changed from a duration stack type to an intensity stack type. Crowd-control effects will remove one instance of stability apiece each time they are applied. Each ability and trait has been adjusted to apply a certain number of stacks. All instances of stability not listed in these release notes will remain at one stack.”

It greatly favors the biggest groups because they will have more cc and will remove all your stacks before you can remove theirs since they simply have the higher numbers.

Basically it further unbalance the WvW experience.

Example :
3 of us trying to protect Mendon tower against about 15 incoming, I use Armor of Earth (in theory a great stability skill), it does not even take 1 seconds and all my stacks of stability a removed.

Before the stability changes I would have been able to use AoE as stability to then cast tornado and knock down a few down the bridge. Now post the stability changes I just got rolled over.

Now if the Anet balance team compensated by increasing the damage or CC AoE limit to favor smaller groups it could perhaps work, but right now after the few months it’s been implemented it just added up to be another nerf to the outnumbered team/servers.

3 vs 15 Got CC’d to death because you didn’t have enough stability.

Sounds like it’s working as intended. 3 people should not be immune to that much incoming CC.

Improvise, adapt and overcome. Popping stab with 5 times incoming isn’t going to save you anymore.

can I craft ascended weapons at lvl 1

I made my first ascended weapon (dagger) today and I was just about to start pistol until I found out that’s under huntsman like wtf man why does crafting ascended single handed weapons have to be unfair. like you have to pay twice as much to get the same benefits as single handed. and now it’ll be even worse if i have to level hunstman all the way to 500 sooo can I just buy the components for my pistol then craft it or do I have to be level 500 (i already ate the recipe and can see it in my crafting window)

Look at it this way.
You just learned the basics of huntsman crafting (Level 1). In order to become good enough in that crafting discipline to craft ascended, you need to practice. Making things such as bows, and firearms is very very different from crafting a dagger, or a sword. You practice crafting various things, learning more each time, until you can reach the level of grandmaster. And then, and only then, will you have obtained the knowledge needed to craft the highest quality of items.

It makes perfect sense. It’s not really unfair to have to learn a new crafting discipline to its highest level to make a desired item.

Is this a roleplaying game?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I play in Drakkar See, which by the German language community has been selected as the unofficial role-play server.
My character is Asura and me and other Asura players had a role-play meeting where we pretended to be in a bar in Rata Sum.
Suddenly there comes a Norn player and putts his character on the counter, just stands there and disturbs.
Other players sometimes like to jump around us and spam effects when we role-play.

Why is there no possibility to turn such players off, so that you do not see them anymore?
Or give us the possibility to make a screenshot and report them.

Is this game meant for role-players or is it not?
I understand that players who enjoy role-play are a minority, but why must we suffer such harassment?

Wait. I’m a bit confused.
As a role player you are upset that people are interfering with your role play?
And as such you want to report and ban them from the game?

You can report them if certain conditions are met. Are they verbally abusing you? Are they interfering with your ability to play the game, complete content, and/or enjoy the game?

I don’t see how someone standing on the bar where your character is, is interfering. Or using effects in your proximity is interfering.
Of course if you feel like it is harrassment you can certainly report it, but unless they are doing something to hinder your play there likely isn’t much they can do.

At the very least you can just ignore them, or incorporate them into your role play. The norn standing on the bar is a drunk NPC. The players spamming effects and jumping around you is a crazy acting troupe hoping for a bit of coin. This is an MMO with lots of different type of players. It’s unreasonable to expect to be able to punish someone else for not playing in a way that you want to.

Why is it because they wanted us to put in an effort to it? I mean If i don’t Craft, or Pve besides do certain events at times why should i have to keep getting the same points over and over? Only few things i See at times that are fun to do are Spvp/WvW/GvG which is why i don’t bother doing anything else but when I do it’s beyond a hassle to do anything due to the lack of way points on my alts.

Has this been brought up by Anet before? If so what have they said about it?

Just on this point. You don’t craft, or play PvE. So why should you get map completion for all your characters? It’s not like you are going to be doing anything with them anyway.

Just curious

[Survey] Thoughts on farming in GW2

@pdavis: I agree that farmers are underrated in not just GW2 but any online game with an active economy. The RNG is a pain to deal with (especially when DR kicks in) and it discourages active farming for long periods of time, which draw people to the TP (which is what ArenaNet wants, I think). They’re a critical component to driving the markets of any item along with TP flippers and general customers, and should be given the correct tools and nudges to do so.

About DR. There is too little known about the specifics of DR to know if anyone hits it or not. According to John Smith, any player actually hitting DR (when in comes to drops) is very rare and doesn’t happen very often. (DR from farming events and event rewards is different). DR was implemented to stop bots, not to discourage farmers.
A dedicated farmer will still have some variation in the mobs they kill, the paths they take, and how long they farm. A bot will generally only kill the exact same mobs in a very specific path, and for longer periods of time.
Plus the weapon rotations, dodges, etc.

People like to use DR as an excuse to discourage farmers, but even dedicated farmers will rarely, if ever hit DR.

Farming and farmers are vastly underrated. The general consesus is to get gold and by what you want, instead of farming for it. However, the more people just buy it, the more the demand increases and supply decreases, thus making them more expensive. Look at T6 mats. They are highly desired, but people complain about the high prices and attribute it to inflation. When the reality is that less and less people are farming for those mats, which leads to a lower supply.

Farmers are good for the economy, and the game in general. They keep supply up, prices down, and act as part of the gold sink process. If they sell on the TP, then they pay their part of the fee and the buyer pays the other part.

However due to RNG it is a tedious process to many, although some rather enjoy it. But farming is actively discouraged on the forums. So players seeking mats are told to buy it rather then try to farm it, which leads to more and more complaints about high prices for items.

So yes farmers are good. We love farmers. Let them farm and keep prices down so those who don’t want to can just but it. Everyone wins.

Which means that the CE has at least a weak tie to the economy. If it had no tie, he would have said that.

Yes, there is a weak tie to the economy. How could there not be?
But the point I was trying to get across was that it’s not as stong as is implied in this thread.

Sure making money can influence peoples decision to buy gems with gold. However, I don’t believe that it has such a great influence as to cause the gem prices to be where they are today.

All I’m saying is the amount of gold and gems players are hoarding on their accounts have no direct impact as to what the current exchange rate is. Only the pools internal to the exchange matter for calculating the rate.

If the money supply craters tomorrow and nobody has any gold what so ever. The exchange rate is unaffected, it still requires players to sell gems for the rate to go down.

No, it does not have a direct impact. It has an indirect impact. But that was never part of the argument or disscussion. Yes, the gem market gold price is defined by the amount of gem currently in supply, every one knows that.

The argument is about if inflation on the gold side of the market at equal real life gems introdution into the market on the other side(gems get bought with $$$ and sold for gold) has an influence on gem prices. To which the anser is: yes.

As for a question, would you be at liberty to discuss the growing gulf between gem-to-gold and gold-to-gem rates? There’s definitely a bit of perception-rancor that I wouldn’t be getting value for my gems relative to those using gold to purchase gems. It’s stopped me in the past from making that conversion.

Was it intended to be an additional gold sink or it is just a proportional effect to gold inflation? Does that gap lower the volatility of gem prices?

John Smith.4610:
I’m not sure what you mean by growing gulf between the rates, the gulf has always been the same.

The gold/gem rates have very little to do with gold inflation inside the game.

Wanze.8410:
How, in your opinion, would the game economy have evolved differently, if the gold/gem exchange wasnt implemented?

I think it would be pretty much the same.

I think we are saying the same thing.

People use gold, prices go up. People use cash and convert to gold prices go down.

But I dont agree that ability to make gold, or the gold in the economy, influences or effects gem prices. If gold wss diificult to come by, youd still have people using it to buy gems. It just might take a bit longer to get the amount they want, but they’d still do it. You say that not everyone is a student, true. But also not everyone has a bunch of extra money they can spend on video games either. But the system helps those without disposable incomes. Those who can buy gems, do and convert to gold, which helps those who cannot afford to buy gems very often, by keeping prices lower.

PSA on Gem Prices

Since transaction fees have absolutely nothing to do with supply and demand, part of the reason that gem prices are increasing so much, especially recently, is due to Anet making them more expensive to buy with in game gold (obviously you can always dual wield those credit cards for the same rate). The 15% transaction fee (which is the official one listed in the wiki here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Currency_exchange) was unchanged from release to August 2014, in September 2014 it started to increase and has been increasing ever since.

correction: Players have caused the increase of the cost of gems. Anet has said they havent and wont touch the gem exchange.
People buy gems for gold, the price increases. People sell gems for gold, the price decreases.

Waynze is correct. The spidy exchange info is wrong. Its always been 15% and always will be 15%.

Cyninja:

I disagree. Gold availability and drains don’t really effect gem prices. The players who are buying gems arent spending their gold on other things in game, so the sinks arent being utilized.

So even if gold availability is made super easy, and there are very aggressive sinks (higher TP tax, higher WP fee, etc.) Gem prices will always go up if people use gold to buy gems.

Ironically though, those complaining about the gems prices are the very ones who are causing the prices to rise.

Agree to disagree. You are completely ignoring oportunity costs and assuming gold just magically appears in someone wallet to get spent.

Gold sinks do not have to be tied to the trading post for once (or any purchase for that matter).

Let’s consider this extreme:

- repair costs get reintroduced to 1 gold per item damaged
-> result, massiv gold deflux (and lots of whining etc. not of significance here).
-> 2nd result, players will have to keep gear repaired first befor spending that gold on gems.
-> 3rd effect, players might even have to buy gems with $$$ and convert to gold to be able to keep playing (though this is an extreme, it is a viable assumption)
What you are not considering is that for each player there is a point where he will decide between:

A.) use gold to buy gems, knowing well that it took him 5 hours to aquire this gold
b.) buy gems with $$$ since it might have taken him 20-30 minutes of his monthly salary

Not every one is a poor student playing this game.

If gold sinks are that aggressive, sure people might reconsider buying gems with gold, Or buy smaller increments over time. If the are doing the latter, then gem prices will continue to go up. Just at a smaller rate.

@pdavis – but selling your item drops on the TP still sinks 15% of the gold you receive so saying that the sinks aren’t being used is wrong. The vast majority of gold players receive is from selling their drops to other players and not gold as a direct reward or selling to NPCs.

True many players make their money from the TP. But where is the money the buyers are using coming from?

Dungeons are the leading method in which gold is obtained. If i sell the 100g drop, that 100g had to be earned from somewhere.

But the point i was making is that if people are buying gems with gold, then they arent using that gold to buy something off the TP. The TP does sink 15% of gold. But if i am not using the TP then that gold isnt being removed. Its being put into the gem exchange.
Again a gold sink only works if people use it.

If I never used a way point and ran everywhere, then the WP gold sink isnt being used.

One year ago the amount of gold in the economy was that much less. Every day more gold flows in than leaves through gold sinks. Since the level of gold is rising you can expect gold to gem prices to rise since people have more gold to spend on buying gems with gold.

The only way to avoid it is to add aggressive gold sinks to remove gold as fast as it comes in. Now if you think that’s a good idea OP, make your argument for it.

That’s not entirely accurate. Even if you had the sinks to remove gold as fast as it was made, if people are buying gems with gold the price will go up.

The ONLY way to influence or reduce prices for gems is to buy gems and convert to gold.
The gem exchange operates independently from the general economy.

just a quick fact: 1 year ago you needed like 10 gold for 100 gems now you need 20 gold for 100 gems, economy is on a high way to hell. Peace!

Just a quick fact: The gem exchange is not indicative of inflation. The gem exchange is based on player exchanging gold for gems and gems for gold. The more people use gold to buy gems the price increases, the more people buy gold with gems, the price goes down.

Hi

Long story short, I pick this game today (Heroic Edition) I made a necromancer and used the box. I didn’t know It was one time use type of deal, so I guess I’m stuck with my necromancer now.

Yes I know It’s only armor set which gets replace later, but I like the armor skin set ETC and that 18 slot bag.

I know this Is no reason to not level other characters up, If I had known this was one time use, I would had made warrior first or buy normal edition none heroic.

I don’t suppose there’s away to revert this? I kinda like necromancer but as a returning player and soloing It’s kinda boring and I find they better In parties.

Forgot to mention I bought the retail version.

I’m a bit confused. You rolled a necro, got the light armor set, but wanted a warrior with the heavy armor set instead?

If anything you could try to submit a support ticket and ask if you can change it. They did for my wife, but she selected the wrong armor type. (heavy instead of light for her mesmer.) She didn’t use it but they did replace it with the appropriate armor set.

If you used it, and changed your mind, I don’t know if there is much they can do about it. But it doesn’t hurt to try.

Well if you’ve really got your heart set on getting to 80 asap then try the Edge of the Mists. It’s basically a karma train but you get a lot of XP as well.
Although I do kinda feel like you’re missing out on the fact that the open world PvE experience really isn’t that bad.

id be fine with doing it AFTER hitting 80

IMO this is exactly the wrong attitude to have. Just play the game, run around and have fun, and you’ll be 80 before you know it. If you insist on getting to max level ASAP then you can always craft your way there; a friend of mine leveled his ranger from 1 to 80 literally doing nothing but crafting, and it didn’t take him very long. Although he did have all his materials saved up from an earlier character.

sorry ive never had fun with leveling.

i bought this game when it first came out, highest character was 23 before taht because i got sick of leveling and just did spvp all day everyday.

Well you can do sPvP all day everyday and still level your character to 80. Based on what you are saying this might be the way to go.

You get leveling tomes from the reward tracks, and those come fairly frequently. So by doing just PvP you can get to level 80 by doing what you enjoy.

might be a good idea, tho ive noticed EoM gets a lot of karma heh

That is true, but it gets boring SUPER fast IMO.
Also for PvP the dungeon reward tracks also give dungeon gear so you can gear out your character and level and never leave pvp.

But I think you at least need to do the story mode for the dungeons to unlock the reward tracks

The term “grind” is very subjective. Especially when it comes to this game.
But if you are looking to level up quickly your best bet would be to do PvP, Edge of the Mists, Personal Story, events, dailies, and map completion.

Basically everything in the game grants EXP. Some people find it a chore, others don’t. Having level 5 alts I still don’t find it much of a chore.

As far as gear, its super easy to get exotic gear. You can buy it with karma, gold, WvW badges, etc. You don’t really need to grind for it.

Umh. The crafting part is minor compared to aquiring the prerequisites. I am looking forward to the hunt.

That’s just it. You need to acquire (read: grind) the prerequisites so you can craft it. They’re eliminating the luck-based component of the game and replacing it with token-based (sure, but slow) component. Boring, repetitive, often time-gated and no jump-for-joy effect after you get the lucky drop.

A hunt doesn’t always equate a grind you know. We know nothing of the details of the hunt, or the aquisition of the items needed to craft the precursor. To call it a grind simply because it may involve a long process is misleading, and ignorant.

How do we know its not something that involves collecting new drops that always drop from each of the world bosses, temple bosses, and dungeon bosses? Could something like that be considered a grind?

What about seeking out and defeating certain “secret bosses” as part of it.
Is that grinding?

The point is we don’t know anything about how its going to work. To call it a grind before we have any information on the matter is silly.

Ignorant, you say?
Check out these and tell me is this not a grind? Also, are rewards from these bigger than a precursor?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bioluminescence
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Spirit_Crafter

I think grinding for these would take me five years. I can only hope that precursor hunt wont go down that road.

What do achievements have to do with obtaining the pieces needed to forge a precursor?

Again we know VERY LITTLE about how to obtain the various pieces, what those pieces are, and how rare are those pieces.

The only thing we really know is that pieces are required.

Unless you can point to a statement/blog/wiki/video/interview/etc. stating that X precursor requires ABCDEFG items, and those items are RNG based, and require you doing the same thing over and over again in order to get them, calling it a grind is ignorant.

We simply don’t have enough information to make such statements. Period.

When did dual axe warrior become meta!?

There’s nothing unusual about people who do a lot of a specific part of the game (be it dungeons, wvw, pvp or open world) who think that they speak for the whole game and every mode when discussing the best build options. People are very biased creatures. I’m fairly guilty of it as a PVP Necro, for example. Sometimes I have a hard time seeing the view of a PVE Necro. But I blame that on Necromancers being a joke in PVE. :P

I see what you did there…. :P

I guess that makes sense. Either way I run what I enjoy playing, and all those people can kindly take a long walk off a short pier. I’ve never been excluded, VERY rarely kicked, or insulted for playing (or not playing) a certain way.

As far as PvE necros….LOVE mine in open world PvE! It’s lot of fun. Dungeons and bosses though…a very different story. :P

That’d the idea, it’s for open world. That means it’s designed for optimal mob tagging, which mace would be inferior to.

I understand that.

I’ve been running A/A for a long time. I love it. But in several discussions on the warrior in the past it was brought up that OH axe was next to useless. I made the claim of tagging mobs, building adrenaline etc. But those were shot down as “there were better ways to do that.” And of course the discussion involved open world.
I just found it interesting. I understand the meta does change, was just curious as to how often it tends to change.

So I seem to remember in several discussions that dual axe warrior was “suboptimal”. And that Axe/mace was essentially higher DPS and “meta”.

Now according to metabattle. A/A warrior is the “meta”

http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Warrior_-_Dual-Axe/GS_Farmer

Granted this is for open world content, not dungeons.

I don’t normally follow the “meta” or anything. But just found this curious as Axe OH was considered lower DPS than mace, and didn’t really do much.

Salvage Kit - Why I consider it a nerf

getting more stuff is good if the stuff is useful in any way

but getting more crap is bad

and masterwork sigils/runes are nothing but crap

That is your opinion, and you are certainly entitled to it.
However, selling for a bit of coin or tossing them into the forge for a chance at a better rune/sigil is always an option.
They are useful. People do benefit from them.

Also consider this.

What if the “Buff” (which it is) to salavaging upgrades may play a significant role in future content?
What if somehow all those “crap” runes/sigils are used for guild halls somehow? Or upgrading to new runes/sigils? Or used in new crafting recipies? So they made them easier to obtain through salvaging so when it launches people already have the means to obtain such things?

Just some ideas….

Wut?

I’m confused.

You are upset they increased the rate of salavaging upgrades per tier of salvage kit, and this is a nerf because now your inventory fills up faster?

Really!?

Getting more stuff is now bad and can be classified as a nerf?
Yeah no. Not at all.

By definition a “Nerf”: is a change to a game that makes something less effective or desirable.
One can argue that a greater chance to get an upgrade is undesirable, however it’s a very weak argument, unless getting a few extra coin from salvaging is undesirable to you. Then yes, it can be classified as a “nerf”.

But I would imagine that a vast majority of players getting an upgrade worth a few extra silver, or more MF fodder would consider this change positive and a buff. (At least anyone who is halfway reasonable….)

This week's special surprise

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Or, it’s a holiday weekend and they plan to go on holiday too? It’s a wild idea, I know.

Honest question here, what holiday ?

It’s Memorial Day Weekend in the US, Monday is a federal holiday. Most private companies don’t have the Monday off (in fact, retailers go into overdrive with sales) but loads of people traditionally do cookouts over the weekend.

For those worried there is no reveal this week, calm down! There is just no specialization reveal. The only “break” they’re taking is from specs. We’re not getting an information shutdown this week.

Here, in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIFkYdG7yoM at 52:40 to 53:15 or so, Rubi says they’re taking a break from spec reveals because they have something else special to reveal and it will need a whole show.

Correction Memorial day is 5/25. Which is next Monday…

And they most likely will be taking that day off, but will be back in the office on Tuesday (5/26)

As far as whats going to be revealed I am leaning towards guild halls. Aside from a brief mention, they havent really gone into that. Although they may talk about functionality, and some construction, I don’t think they’ll get too in depth about the construction side. Revealing too much could have catapstrophic market consequences if it required some material that you can get off the TP. My guess is that if any mats are to be used, with would be the T7 mats. (i.e. Bloodstone dust, empryeal fragments, dragonite ore)

The depends….

Market, promote, advertise or solicit implies exchanging goods or services for money. (i.e. Gold sellers)

If you are linking your private twitch channel, its not really “advertising” is the strict sense. Just as if I were to link a private blog for fanfic based on a converstation in game.

If you’ve been reported, but havent been actioned you can assume that you are not doing anything wrong. However, if you do get actioned, then yes it would be safe to assume that doing so is indeed against the CoC.

A safer way way to do that would be to say that you have a twitch channel, and maybe those interested can PM you for the link. People may get the wrong idea if you are just linking it in map chat.

So after all that time I get the worst possible pre that no one wants. Still am kind of dissappointed.

Collections: retroactive credit

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: pdavis.8031

If you crafted them to sell on the TP, then they wouldn’t have been added to the collection, if it was available at that time. You need to soulbind, accountbind, salvage or MF them in order to get credit for the collection. (Basically unlock the skin.)

If you crafted them and sold them on the TP, then you didn’t unlock the skins for them, thus they wouldn’t be added to the collection.

Gear change for traits and Anet's stance.

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: pdavis.8031

pdavis.8031

I disagree with Gaile. Based on the information they provided us and what their intentions were for making these changes, this request is not premature at all. It is even less likely this request will be granted after the fact so it must be made now.

What Gaile was getting at was that we don’t have enough information to be able to
say for 100% certainty that our current gear will become unusable. Also the new system hasn’t been implemented yet so there is absolutely no way you can know what effects the stats change will have on various builds.

One can certainly make guesses basedon available information. But until it’s fully implemented, and more information is released, thats all they will be. Guesses.

It was said when the expansion was released that you did not want to invalidate the players hard work. The decisions of that hard work was based on a system that you are about to knock down with absolutely no warning that this was happening when people were making thier gear. You will invalidate some players hard work. This promise will be broken for some players. It doesn’t matter if anyone thinks these players builds were broken to begin with or not. Decisions were still made on a system that is getting changed.

So they players themselves made gear, and put together a build based on the current mechanics. The mechanics change, so those players should be compensated? Should you be compensated for buying an iphone 4, when the iphone 4s was being released a year later? Should you be compensated for updating adobe that includes new features that weren’t there when you first bought/used the product?
To think so would be ridiculous. Stats, and gear stats are changing, yes. But the gear, and the stats, will still serve the same purpose that they did before the change. The gear isn’t going to stop working. It will still function as it always has, just differently.

I think its reasonable if the entire system in which players based thier gear investment decisions on is being overhauled players should get to overhaul thier gear.

I disagree. People are saying that gear, and builds are going away, and that it’s the death of XYZ build. They say the same thing each time a major update happens. Remember the ferocity change? Everyone was up in arms saying how it was going to kill the meta, and zerker was as good as dead. That it was also going to kill the speed running community, and that they should be compensated accordingly. Guess what happened? Nothing. Nothing at all. No one was compensated. Zerker is still PvE king, dungeon speed clears are still going on (and in some cases setting new records).
There is no reason that I can see to grant stat changes, or compensation, to previous gear do to the change in the stat system.

We don’t know enough. We do know that gear will be getting a stat buff. But thats all we know. Does that mean gear will be getting 4 instead of 3 stats? Or just an increase in numbers? Will they look more like PvP Amulets? Or not? Unless you can answer those with 100% accuracy at this time, anything and everything is theory and conjecture.

Price of Moldy Bags

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

That’s because it’s a lot harder to get those materials at lvl 80.

Not really. The many other bags that drop the same tier of loot can be found in abundance in the level appropriate zones. With the bags it doesn’t matter the level you open them at. 1, or 80, you’ll still get the same tier of materials.

Yes, but the chances of an 80 being in those zones is much less.

Well then, of course it’s going to be harder for a lvl 80 to get lower tier mats. If you aren’t playing in the areas where they are granted, you can’t really expect to get them can you?

It’s a trick used by schemers to run up the price of something by suggesting it is valuable in order to move their own stock at an elevated price.

Aaaah gotcha.

It could be, but as high priced as they are, I am not sure there is much of a market for it. T3 mats are a bit more difficult to come by, but there are other ways to get them aside from moldy bags that are easier to aquire.
You’d be better off going for Miner’s sacks from Dredge. Those things drop like flies, and contain more profitable items.

I am not sure there is much they can actually do about it.

The message is generally sent by a hacked account, in hopes that someone will go to the link, so they can steal another account. Such accounts are used by gold sellers as well.

Although Anet has taken steps, and continues to do things to stop gold sellers, in the end it’s up to the end user and their account/computer security. If you have a weak password over multiple accounts, non secure internet connections, weak/outdated/no existant firewalls, anti-virus, etc. then you are more likely to be “hacked”. Especially if you go to links like the one above…

Just report, and move on. Theres not much else you can do.

Which Crafting Art Makes the Most Income?

Since there are set recipes and untold numbers of people at max crafting for each profession, there isn’t any that makes gold with little effort. They will all involve searching out items that are selling for a profit and moving on when they stop.

Many people use the mystic forge to craft for profit by using their skill points, either by making expensive weapons or promoting mats.

I’ve also found that sometimes crafting components can sell for decent prices. (i.e. Insignias, Inscriptions.)
Sometimes when people are leveling up their crafting will just buy the parts they need, instead of the mats and doing it themselves.

A little bit of research at GW2spidy.com might help point you in the right direction if you are looking to craft for money.

Necro PVP fix! Leeto!

I am not convinced that starting out with LF will be a good option. Even at 50% life force, it’s still enough to go into DS and start wrecking havoc, as well as starting out with more HP in the second bar.
Its very similar to how the warrior adrenaline was, with the super slow andrenaline cool down. This allowed them to enter into multiple fights in succession while maintaining full adrenaline. I feel it will be kind of the same thing. Basically allowing a necro to enter into fights with DS already activated, without having to do anything.

I wouldn’t be opposed to maybe increasing the LF gain from the various methods we already have at our disposal.
Something life buffing signet of undeath from 2% LF gain while in combat, to 5% LF gain while in combat, etc.

This will allow a necro to still quickly gain LF, to use it to its full potential, but prevent it from being almost OP right out of the gate.

There should be at least a little play involved before being able to enter into DS.
