Ah! I logged one of my 80’s and it was there, huzzah! Maybe you have to unlock it now.

Yes, as i said above. It was taken from chars at certain levels. It’s only visible when you reach certain levels now.

Ok yw, it was just a basic troubleshooting. Anything else than that I have no idea what else could it be. Try to moving the materials around, putting them in different bags if you have and try to deposit. A last resort would go to a crafting station or bank and move your mats manually and see if it works.

Just to help more properly, are you new to the game or is it just a new char?

Silly question but worth asking: about compacting.. what type of bag is it? Items on special bags (invisible, equipment, gathering bags..) won’t compact. About materials, have you checked if you reached the full stack for those items? If you have a full stack the leftovers won’t be deposited.

What I had requested, in relation to the OP was some kind of Wiki Update to let us know what was to be unlocked when- so we know if these things are WAI or not as well as possibly something to let us know these other issues are even being addressed or not.

The wiki is mainly maintained by players and then there could be things that no one else but devs would know until it’s finally released. Then in this case it would take time until everything on wiki is up-to-date. Even the “latest changes” page in the wiki is just a reflect of patch notes published in forums, sometimes with some additions from players.

On the Dolyak event the commander in chat was instructing his zerg to scale things up and let Yaks die on us, but they did that too late and we were able to lead the aggro off the yaks at the gate and back into the zerg. In the shaman event again all the commander and his number 2 were insisting were that the event must fail to teach us a lesson.

The commander and officer then tried to engage us saying how they would have helped us had we asked nicely while at the same time yelling to people to let the event fail.

Whoaa, that’s so stupid and disrespectful… Some people in this game thinks they are king and can rule over others… C’mon, commander tags is meant to help instructing ppl in an event, not harassing others that doesn’t do what you want. Some ppl shouldn’t never get a commander tag, too bad it’s a bought thing, it should be a earned and deserved thing..
Sadly it reminds me the champ train at Queensdale, it seems these champ train zerg groups moved to another place..

That’s ironic… “now you can display your minis every time you want, it has a slot like your gear” But so soon you enter a map that’s not an instance or a main city you can’t show your mini at all… So why the hell making them being persistent across zones and easily shown like a gear if it you can’t really show them?

Also, server needs to learn how to count. 1 or 2 players doesn’t mean rising population :P

but it’s been devastating for mesmer: my illusion skills go into cooldown with no phantasm or clone, because the game’s idea of a nearest target is blocked, behind a wall, while the actual threat is about to hammer train my rear end.

Maybe it may be an issue with cache, try to clean it. In case you don’t know, the cache location is usually at C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\Temp\gw2cache-{<a_few_numbers_here>} on Win Vista or higher, not sure the location for other systems though. Just delete the folder called gw2cache-{***} while not in game and then restart the game. Good luck.

That’s a silly and badly implemented change I think. Hiding your next story steps makes you think your story ended. Maybe leaving it there but dimmed would give a clear idea that it’s just “locked”. Hiding things from players instead just dimming it or giving some warning just because they are unable to use or do such things isn’t user friendly at all.

I haven’t that mini myself so I can’t say anything about it, but for all other minis of mine they are working fine and I haven’t noted any missing one.

And they finally found a “fix” for the issue with Hint Completion achievement: getting rid off the achievement completely :P. After September 2014 Feature Patch the achievement now sits in “Retired Achievements” in the Historical tab and the Help panel was removed.

Yes, it seems to be meant for new players and such, and hints doesn’t do anything else now but provide the info, no achievements related to them. And yeah, I also noted the popup is a bit annoying and shows up more than needed.

Your minis may still be in inventory or collections (now renamed to Materials Storage). To have them in your wardrobe you must to account-bind them by right clicking them and choosing it.

I don’t RP in this game, although I have RPed in others games, but I also think this change looks awkward and awful. It’s nonsense to have “CharacterName:” in an emote. Maybe making it as the new combat logs are would look good. Something like “CharacterName salutes.” where CharacterName is a clickable link but without brackets, if possible. And yeah, second in making a lower range for emotes.

Personal Story Levels 72-80 missing

I have noted that too. My story is at level 79 and Story Journal doesn’t show any “pending” chapter. It all looks like completed. I don’t see any “incomplete” or “pending” parts as it was for Living Story. I only can tell my progression from the UI at the top right, Story Journal doesn’t show what’s coming next.

I don’t mean the whole chapter list at left, I mean the items inside the page. All them shows like completed.

That’s really odd. Maybe it’s just a render issue, like the game “thinks” it has to put it there when it’s not supposed to. Try to repair your client maybe as it doesn’t sound to be a common issue (I haven’t seen it happening myself).

Client crash during Karka Queen fight

For twice my client just froze at the second part of Karka (when it regenerates health), it becomes unresponsive but no crash, like it dropped to 1 FPS or less. When it happens I can still hear sounds but I can’t interact at all. Luckily I didn’t crash so I didn’t lose the credit for the fight. In these two times the game froze at the same part (mentioned above) what makes me to think they are related, on these two moments the fight happened at different places.

I usually play with low settings during these fights and I don’t think it’s related to the amount of people there. I have done even more crowded fights without crashes and such (even though had lag).

I believe it has something to do with Karka’s model. On these two moments the client froze so soon the Karka was fully rendered on my screen.

From what I hear the Hint achievement has been broken for a long time now. People just report they get the achievements after some tries so just keep trying for now. From what I heard it could pop up at some point. But yes, it’s a known issue for a long time now.

Dye changes won't stay

You cannot modify some dye slots while keeping others in the default color they came with if you do not also have that color unlocked. That is where the issue is popping up. You do not have that “black looking” color unlocked so any changes to the other colors are not getting saved.

Hmm, I don’t know how you tested it but from what I recall it wasn’t totally true, unless something changed when they made dyes account wide. I remember having a set where I didn’t change some slots and kept the original color on them, the color I kept was one I hadn’t unlocked and it saved normally. It was even that old city clothes, one of the slots for me had a color I hadn’t unlocked and I kept it while changing other slots. However, as I said above something may have changed.

At times your post is deleted because the whole thread is deleted, not because your post was bad or something. And in these cases the reason for the deletion is rarely well explained (see https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/forum/Thread-moved-to-trashcan-forum). If you try to reply to the message about a deletion notification, someone from Support can tell you the reason for the deletion.

About the item 0, it has been tiresomely reported (see https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/forum/Search-feature-not-working). About item 1, well it’s really weird that a thread becomes blank instead being removed entirely, but a mod will remove it at some point.

I had just finished the event " Drive the Mordrem away from the vine bridge planting area". I was standing near the edge of the rock platform and saw dirt particles by my feet so I dodge rolled to the left and went nowhere. I tried to jump over the vine as I saw it forming around me and became stuck inside the vine.

Something similar happened to me after that harpy event at Plains of Ashford. Just when the event ended I unintentionally stood where one of the mortars spawn and when it did I got stuck “under” the mortar. Luckily Blink worked for me in that case. A similar thing can happen with a vendor near where Stampeding Minotaurs event happens at Wayfarer’s Foothills, the area where the vendor respawn has a “pull” effect whenever you approaches it during the event (it even forces the camera to turn as if you were facing the vendor but it’s not there anymore) and I believe it could get you stuck when it respawns.

Maybe putting some block or pushing the player away when it’s about to spawn could avoid it to happen.

Commander's Compendium on trading post

Yes, making a script or something like that does that query is not that hard. Ensuring it works perfectly and it won’t give any side-effect is a different story…

I have seen several other items on TP that’s impossible to complete a transaction and they have been there for some time now. An example is a level 5 Norn Greatsword with Fine rarity (see this), it has a lot of orders placed (even reaching golds) but 0 sell listing and the item was never seen in game as far as I know. No one can buy it because no one never sold it.

Yes, when reporting an issue it’s good to give so many details you can, it helps devs to know better about the issue and also other players in case they also experience the same issue.
Also, not sure if it was the case but if you try going to a waypoint that’s out of the instance’s area you get a warning telling that you will leave the instance if you continue.

Mesmer’s Temporal Curtain Swiftness stacking issue is a bug.

In fact, not a bug but a intended feature “badly” implemented. From what I heard it was done due abuses with it during early days, but yes they forget to fix the tooltip and stuff to show its actual behavior. As you said, people has been complaining about it for a long time now.

But the incident which I referred to in my OP wasn’t a disconnect (well, not one that booted me out of the game and gave the error message that seems to be doing the rounds of late).

That’s the point. At times the client loses connection for a few seconds, not enough to force a boot out but enough to mess up with the data synchronization between client-server. I believe there is a “tolerance” time before the client kicks you out due losing communication with server, if client regain contact with server before that time ends it won’t boot you out, but odd stuff like that can happen.

The “other self” isn’t visible to others and I only noticed it from how my mini pet acted and from me dying suddenly for no obvious reason.

Yeah it happened to me a few times, people couldn’t ress me and a few times I couldn’t ress others. Good point about the mini, thinking about keeping it always up for when these odd moments happen :P.

Yes, if the client disconnects while you are in momentum (walking, running or even falling) the server will keep your momentum until the client regains the control and then your position is updated (the server updates client’s position, putting you where IT thought you were), and apparently it will ignore obstacles at times or keep you “walking against a wall”.

I could prove it myself once while doing evens near that grawl cave at Wayfarer. I crashed while I was walking near the entrance of that cave (near the river) and the game froze for a bit before it closed. I was pressing the forward key when it happened, so it was the last command the server received. When I logged on back I was inside that underwater cave several feet ahead from where I was when I crashed. What was even weird is my position was a straight line from where I was last even though I couldn’t never walk straightly like that due things on terrain like walls and stuff.

Should I file those things as a bug report in game when I see them or on the forums? It was not this bad/buggy when I went through the game the first time.

In fact, you could do both. Just remember to provide as much details and info as you can, mainly on forums, so the community can help too and it will be easier for the devs to spot what’s going on. Take screenshots when applicable and possible, they can help a lot at times.

Heal Skill Sometimes Doesn't Work

This may not be an issue with healing skill on necro only but with any skill that needs some cast time. I have been experiencing this kind of delay with the most of my skills which requires a cast (healing is one of them), at times it works at times it doesn’t. I haven’t been able to tell if it was due lag at my end or high latency as it also happens when there is no apparent lag. Btw, mesmer here. Actually, I think it may be related to latency (high “ping” time) and/or some packet loss.

Inventory Window changing size alone

On re-open 2 seconds later, the inventory window appears repositioned in the middle of the screen and resized.

Unfortunately still not really reproducible.

In fact it is. In your case it happened as I mentioned on a previous post:

A side note: putting the window in a way that more than half of the achievement UI or mini-map gets covered (but no parts of it gets off-screen) and then closing and reopening the window causes the window to shrink to its minimal size (4 slots wide) as if it went partially off-screen.

But on your case you didn’t even need to cover “half” to the achievements area on right side, just a part of the inventory window touched it, but I believe the same trigger came in action there.
