Cosmetics obviously. Were all massive casuals at heart.
Yeah i was thinking it would do that. :<
It doesnt really ruin the economy because the gold earned is taken from buyers. Its just changing hands.
Not so much with a pure axe build. But if you like fast hands you can still go 30/25/0/0/15 for pure axe.
When they finally fix lupi skip properly you will see a lot less sellers. Which will make everyone in rT a lot happier seeing as we dont skip lupi when we sell.
Im not being biased at all. It seems like you are. I dont use the gs because the benefits dont outweigh the cons.
And in my experience even 1 pug rarely follows instructions. When you are running with 1 or 2 friends the group will completely fail if you try to los dredge while the pugs sit at the back pulling aggro and getting you killed.

Just a link to a build website or few sentences describing what gear, utilities and traits are needed along with a paragraph describing rotation and key points in brief. Thats the kind of thing I prefer to read, gives me the core info so I can get started on trying the build without having to sift through lots of info to find what im looking for. Basically a brief summary of the main build.
If I find i need more detailed info thats when I start reading the big walls of text. Im sure a few others have been put off from reading the guide because of this. Its obviously helpful to have a full detailed guide but not everyone needs that and for those people who dont its a bit much to read through.
Pug logic.
When i run fractals we usually have atleast 2 pugs. Which means we cant use certain tactics because pugs dont listen.
There is no space at all in the svanir boss room so camping gs would be terrible (bad damage even at max range and you cant even go max range). Sword mainhand is fine, you can get your phantasms up and then just dps with a superior auto attack while also having blurred frenzy for an extra evade. I also dont understand why you would use a gs there if you are keeping 3 duelists up, the whole arguement as to why people use gs is for the beserker….
Looking at your list its almost as if you just love the gs so much that you cant bare to play without it despite there being other options.
In all those examples I wouldnt use the gs for any of them.
Yes I know that. But there are very few sigils which work with builds with low crit chance. Thats my point. Some charge based sigils which build charges on regular hits would be better imo. Would give non crit builds more viable sigil options.
Should be manageable to remove the defiant stacks quickly enough with warrior and necro most of the time. Im probably gonna try this this weekend anyway.
Hes suggesting storing the agony arrow for a non legendary boss/mob in the next fractal.
Necro already has good base vitality. You shouldnt need to trait for it or even take it in gear.
Most of the sigils currently involve crit procs. If I were to implement a charge type sigil I would do it so it gave options to low crit chance builds. There arent enough sigils for low precision builds imo. Not really an issue in pve seeing as you want dmg which involves crit. But when I was testing out various bunkerish builds in the mists I struggled to find sigils that fit. If I could take a crit chance sigil and have it work without crits I would be happy.
He didnt say scepter sword was for trash. You would use pistol and focus for trash. Sword offhand is very good for shaman (block and decent phantasm).
I didn’t imply it was for trash. There’s just no reason to leave melee range on the imbued shaman unless you’re killing the trash, and for that you want strong long range aoe. Staying in melee range with sword/focus is both more effective and safer than ranging it, as long as you know what you’re doing.
Ok whats this implying then:
Well, that’s not really true at all. Nether scepter nor sword have any good aoe to speak of, and so you’ll be mostly useless when trying to aoe down the mass of elementals when they spawn.
Anyway like cookie said above me. You can melee the shaman if you want. But many groups and pugs range during the non bubble phase so taking a scepter there is fine. The sword offhand block is amazingly good for arrows and the ground slam the shaman does. If i took my mesmer into fractals I would use sword focus and sword sword for shaman. Maybe scepter sword depending on the group.
Actually using the dps guides as a base for lvling is very effective. When i was lvling my warrior i was using GS, axe mace and switch to sword warhorn sometimes for mobility. Traits were basically copied as I unlocked them from the build I was going to use once I hit 80. Facerolled the content no problems. Warrior has a very easy time lvling if you stick to dps traits and dps weapons. Thats all you really need to know.
There are too many situations where sword cleave is bad and i find it soooo boring. So going 30 in radiance is a waste for me. But yeah it is personal preference.
Theres no doubt that 10/30/0/5/25 is slightly better dps than 10/25/0/10/25 because you have 50 extra precision and right hand strength. But i feel the shout cooldown is pretty important in a lot of places and seeing as I hate camping sword, right hand strength doesnt get much use with my playstyle.

Or necro. DS fear and still got access to a root on dps weapon.
Id be curious to see which is faster seeing as warrior wont be able to get might and fury with the no utility rule.
Its a massive pain in the kitten. Lag seems to increase the frequency of fumble dodges. But even with a perfect connection and no skills other than auto attack before a dodge I still get it happening sometimes. Had to double dodge backwards from alphards barrel yesterday because the first dodge fumbled during axe auto attack…
20 minutes?
Axe #2 is really weak so any axe traits are kind of pointless and wasted. Close to death is about a 9% damage boost overall which isnt great but it is one of necros best modifiers.

I wouldnt say aoe condi removal was a necro strength. Guardians and mesmers could do it with low cooldowns and mesmer can do it even better since aoe mantras. Also fairly sure its pve only. But i suppose it could be available in WvW. Which would be a problem. It wont be better than consume.
If that were allowed then surely we could all take signets. :P
I assume trinkets are allowed?
Buff condi damage in pve and you would see some changes to optimized groups.
I dont know about NA. But on eu theres almost always adds for selling arah on the lfg tool. Same with gw2lfg.com.
This is similar to what you will find most people use within the top dungeon guilds for standard runs.
Gives you flexibility with traits, good phantasm damage, good reflect damage and good utility.
Not strictly true. But play how you want, we cant stop you.
This is similar to what you will find most people use within the top dungeon guilds for standard runs.
With that build what dps can you do?
Fully buffed guard in Arah (prob will never see these numbers
)
“My build hit every buff possible for greatsword. I had all buffs I can think of in the game which would be banner of strength and discipline, empower allies, 2 frost spirits (traited and untraited stack), spotter, 25 might stacks, 25 vulnerability on target, 25 bloodlust stacks, 100 pow/10 crit damage food, undead sigil, undead potion, bane signet, and all boons for unscathed contender and power of the virtuous traits. I also stood inside the target so I hit? more than 9 times with WW.”
HOLY CRAP, imagine that in a warrior LOL. 80k damage? LMAO
Beserker is better for general dps and group content. The reason he used assassins is because it was a solo record kill and the extra crit is better for the reflect damage.
It does work in stuff like fractals and new TA. In fact its harder to do higher level fractals if you arent specced for full dps.
Most of the kicking seems to be griefers kicking sellers. Path 2 is the easiest path to solo and sell. Path 4 goes for about 18-20g per slot. Path 3 is about 7-8g. Not sure what p1 sells for, i think its over 10g. But if you’re just going for tokens you are probably best off just buying p2 runs at 5-6g.
Im not sure they can be considered elitists if they are killing the boss the slow way.
No more clicking?
They can use a wrench, its all good.
How long does the burn last when he enrages.
Shelter is fine. Id say its better for fractals (extra block).
Yeah 10/25/0/10/25 is better for fractals than a pure sword build. The cleave on sword is bad for all the trash clearing in fractals.
My warrior has a pretty necroey feel to her. Id love to put my dhuumseal on my necro. Having the necro skill effects with a gs or sword would be amazing.
Aslong as you get swiftness from your group its better to skip trash with GS, sword focus. You can blink to a far ahead mob without getting in combat and you have some blocks for the more dangerous sections. You can also slot judges intervention for running sections (extra blink).
I wouldnt go with either. But if you are set on one or the other the wind catcher looks better with your armour. Shatterer wings will get very annoying quickly and they dont really look icey.
I dont believe those gambits were for permanent dungeons tbh. And if they were I suspect it was just an idea. I dont expect to see them ever actually appearing.
I dont understand why just because necro is a sub par class for pve people think they shouldnt maximise its effectiveness in dungeons. Noone has a problem with other classes recommending full melee optimised builds. Many of them have become commonly recommended. However in the necro forums everyone recommends sub optimal builds every single time. Its really disheartening to see a newbie ask for a dungeon build and then people start recommending things like the DS build. Its ok in pugs yes, but its still a gimmicky fun build and that is all.
Go 10 in curses. I believe its something like a 10% dps boost and you can take ranged wells or weakening shroud (both good adept traits).
rT does roleplay actually.
