Humans have the ability to create Watch Knights, their other technology is weak, though. They have some impregnable forts (Ebon Hawke, DR) and they have some powerfull God Artifacts.

To correct my earlier status, To give insight in features which are still being developed(Precursor Crafting), but aren’t finished (or close to finishing) and could be changed later down the line.

The reason why they are not open anymore, browse the forums, every time they try to be open and they can’t deliver, they get a major backlash.

I thought it was the Crystal desert, the ruined buildings look like the ones from GW, it was obviously in a sandy environment and the chaos crystals could be Kralkatoriks/Glints.

The tentacles could have reached Glint’s lair, Trahearn said that Kralkatorrik was next (so maybe the pact get’s attacked and we have a reason to go there). the Zephirytes originally came from the crystal desert, and their story about glint has never been continued/tied in with the LS.

But then again, the dragon we defeated and flew off suggest it is just in the maguuma wastes.

Just buy the complete pack, it’s a fun game and it’s really hard/Grindy to get HoM points just in Proph/EotN.

I would love to see some optional faction farming in GW2, like Kurz/Lux or SS/LB.

Anyone care to explain why asians would get offended? GW1 did an amazing job with Factions, and Nightfall, which included asian and african cutlure. Most MMOs do a terrible job at representing different cultures, but GW1 was an exception.

Apparently Asians hate having their cultures mixed up by western people, they also dislike each other in the same way European countries used to.

And factions was such a mix of cultures, so NC-soft (A S-Korean company) is afraid it might offend some people (or it might offend some high placed dude at NC-Soft and that’s why we don’t get Cantha)

-Udate the Slayer Achievements, adding Karka Slayer and Mordremoth’s Bane (maybe Aetherblade slayer?)

well, it took them just as long to make GW2 in the first place, let’s see 3 years later.

According to the ‘making of’ book of gw2 it took them most of the time to buff the engine and get the mechanics right, they made all the maps in 2 years time.

Still one of the few who believe Cantha(or a expansion) is a background project and will be revealed in the future, that’s why they’ve been releasing the Canthan themed releases and hints (The Zephyrites who last visited Cantha) same as menhlo referencing Cantha in Proph and Methu the Wise referencing Utopia.

Actually, there is some minor indication – Fort Koga was supposed to be protecting a western trade route. Who that trade was with was left up in the air – there might be another nation on the coast, for instance.

I had always thought that the trade route was basically Kryta’s way to bypass Orrian guilds in trading with Cantha and Elona, given the state of the Guild Wars (mainly third). It was said to fall into disuse after the Guild Wars ended so it would make sense.

Though a nation to the west could have been the topic of Utopia, perhaps? Which would be placed on the continent west of Tyria in this map.

This is a better map, I think, since it shows labels and such. It is fan-made, but the fan is that_shaman who is rather well known, and it does bear resemblance to the one you linked, so i’m sure it’s fairly accurate. Note that this map is the entire planet of Tyria, not just the places shown on the in-game map.

The map you linked to is literally just a recreation and labeling of the map I linked. With no added details – in fact, fewer details if you count the shades of red, orange, and dark dark green and the ridges in some parts to be details of landscape appearances (unlikely but possible).

Utopia was the name of the Campaign (ala Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall). And assets for what would have become that campaign was put into Eye of the North – mainly the asura and their lands (Tarnished Coast).

I like the idea of a guild mission vanquish, but maybe a special instance (it could be a re-used map).

It spawns a bunch of bosses/minions and they have to be killed in a certain time frame.

I don’t know why you would have to use the /join in, seems unhandy.
Just give all the guild members who are in the area a pop-up (like with all instances)

I would also love to see a sort of arena where you and your party(5 people) have to defeat a certain amount of foes before the timer runs out, every round more mobs spawn and the rewards scale higher as well. the game ends when the party is defeated.

I don’t think there are any strong examples of interracial relationships in lore, but it is possible. I think the most we have gotten is one-sided attractions. No children would ever come from those relationships though. We do have dev confirmation on that part.

They probably could get kids actually, only those kids would be infertile, like a donkey+horse=a mule(infertile)

Warriors are bad at healing, but good at support, Guardians can have huge DPS.

The ‘trinity’ is Damage, Control, Support

Every class can do dmg (just power or condi dmg), can control (cc’s) and can support (Healing, stealth, banners, buffs, etc)

What about deleting your new engi and use a total make over kit on your old one?

You can try to send a ticket, but I don’t think they will refund it, (it gives you a pop-up asking, are you sure you wan to buy: ‘xxxx’)

Actually, someone did bring up a good point earlier… removal of the matchup threads was a dumb move by ANET. Getting people passionate for their servers is a good thing. Instead people have gotten bored and moved onto new items.

I’m still hoping that the rumors of new WvW leadership are true. The last guy had a poor vision for where WvW could go. My hope is that someone else can take us in a better direction.

Dude, did you ever read those threads? I am happy they are gone, it was nothing more than people sh*tting on each other, accusing each other for 1v2’s and hacking. Calling other people names, being childish in general…

I’m not running dugeons that often anymore (on my ele) , I am more of a WvW ele, but if I am not mistaken the ele meta in dungeons is FireField spammer (full zerker) and dropping Ice Bows and Fire greatswords

Well even without having done anything in the HoM you still get 3 points for linking your account. So you should at least get those first 3 rewards, something is probably wrong with you linking our account :/

What I would like:

-New cycling maps (a couple of different sets of maps which rotate on a weekly basis)

-Bigger maps: discourage blobbing

-Higher health for structures. The most fun I had was after a 5 hour siege , actually having to take out the nearby towers and supply caravans and not just Golem rush it.

-Import features out of EotM. I don’t mind EotM that much+ I love the destructible bridges, implement this in regular WvW and maybe expand on it? Also Walls, bigger maps with build able (weak) walls to slow down opponents, could be fun. (wasn’t EotM going to be a WvW testing ground btw?)

-I like the special objectives in EotM, some of the places I wouldn’t want to see in reg WvW, but I like the variety they add. They should probably be in Neutral Lands, so all teams have a fair chance at capping them.

-Make the mercenaries/guards more powerfull, they have no point of existing right now, a group of ogres helping you in battle should be a serious help, hell, let them drop their own (weaker) siege like Ogre Ballista and Ogre Arrow Cart.

-Leave room for fights in a big open field and reward people for fighting, not only for hiding in a tower

(You can spread these features over multiple maps, one server might be better at holding multiple objectives, an other might be able to strategise better and so win in bigger maps and an other server might be the best at fighting and win in an other map.)

Ha, people thinking when it comes it will be easy, it’s probably going to be a bigger grind than it is now.

Dredge have always been looked upon as less worthy and driven into xenophobia by their constant rejection, They could be a powerful ally, given the chance ( We know they can make alliances ). I remember a blogpost about the Dredge talking about how the Norn just hunted the dredge for sport, they didn’t use the meat or the skin, they just killed them because they could.

Solo Arah, I know a couple of guildies who do this, or solo any other dungeon (AC and CM are easy now, with the stat change)

I also know that all the dragons of Cantha are not elder dragons, I think that is obvious. Just like I think it is obvious that Glint was not an elder dragon. Because I felt that it was obvious, I didn’t think I need to state it.

I also have seen those comments that state that Kuunavang may have been a dragon champion, but as you said, the comments were not very solid so I didn’t mention it.

What I meant by my comment was that Canthan’s are aware of Dragon’s existence. Not elder dragons perhaps, but dragons of the Glint/Kuunavang variety.

We don’t know if Cantha is aware of Elder Dragons now or not. I am certain they know that something big is up now that waterways have been cut off between Tyria and Cantha. Perhaps they even were made aware of Zaihtan’s rise before communication was severed. I don’t know. No one does. But Cantha was well aware of dragons’ existence even if it was dragon’s of the lesser variety.

I think the Canthans are aware of the existence of the dragons:

I was browsing the web and stumbled across an old map of gw2.

It is a unfogged version of the map with all areas on it even the, at the time, unreleased ones.

Now a anomaly on the map: there is a small map somewhere the Far Shiverpeaks, unseen in today’s game, at first I thought it to be the Eye of the North, but it doesn’t look like it + It’s way off compared where the eye is today.(it should be around the cross on the map)

Thoughts? On the GW map Raven’s point is in that zone, I thought something about an original teaser for an Expansion? But it didn’t get finished in time and when They decided not to go for an X-pack (in November, I assume) they just scrapped it. (It’s a stretch)

The CO2 that is being exhausted by the volcano in Mt. Maelstrom and the new Charr machines is making the ozone layer thicker and so the solar rays are being reflected back to Tyria and warming the planet,.
