And players who haven’t been to dry top yet don’t know what it looks like either. And they would never look at that picture and come to the conclusion that it was even a landscape, nevermind that it was a desert with rocky outcroppings, etc.

I wouldn’t expect them to say “that’s Dry Top, from Guild Wars 2!” But if the art does what it’s supposed to doing, they’re supposed to say, “that’s an arid canyon,” or something similar. But with…this…I doubt one in a hundred would even identify it as a landscape at all.

Ah, fair enough. I know I wouldn’t have a clue unless there was a caption involved. I still like it as a piece of art though.

I have a stack of characters and play all of them.

Maybe if you’re having trouble focusing then stop trying and play all of them when you feel like running a particular one around.

As for the meta build – maybe have a set of gear a trait line up that suits you for general hijinks and another for when you really have to bow down to peer pressure.

I like it but since its art its not going to turn everybody on.

I’ll never buy an outfit. Personal choice, not going to bag people who prefer them.

No worries. It’s a pretty big world with loads of xp in it. By the time you hit 80 there may even be maps you haven’t touched yet.

And, to back Vayne up, you don’t need to be too precious with the personal story. Sometimes its good to hit that up in lumps, especially where the story segments flow. Your game, your story. Have fun

You shouldn’t be grinding mob xp. That’s silly in this game. General map exploration is pretty quick if you don’t want to do any rose sniffing, or jump into the EotM. Zerg a round a bit and get levels and loot. There’s also crafting. But that takes a fair bit of money.

On average? Close to zero. Though that’s just a guess.

I’m not going to go back through and try and find what I said before but I’ll just say comparing GW1 to GW2 is like comparing red apples to green apples. They’re similar and related to each other but you may end up only liking one sort or the other, or both. Or neither. And its really no big deal.

Don’t like it either. For a game that’s got quite a lot to do with looks this is a pretty big dropped ball.

There are people who find the dungeons so easy they can solo them. I’m not one of them but they’re out there. There’s PUGs, guild groups, groups of friends. You probably should have hung around and kept trying.

Its up to you if you want to come back or not. You bought the game, after all. And the way Anet have set up the content delivery will make seem like you haven’t missed much at all.

You’re also able to get abilities based on which classes you’ve reincarnated through in DDO. The more you do it the stronger you get. I never did it with any of my characters there, though it would have suited one of them.

I was actually thinking yesterday of what it would be like if that system was “borrowed” for this game and I came to the conclusion it wouldn’t work. There’s no need for it.

Did Elder Scrolls get much more awesome story-wise after Morrowind or is this just me being jaded with it? Because Morrowind was good and all that but the lore in the world was not quite as developed as Westeros feels.

Of course if you only count Oblivion or Morrowind then Game of Thrones will have a more extensive lore. But the entire Elder Scrolls series, both story and lore, surpasses Game of Thrones by far (in my opinion).

Wether the lore is actually bigger I can’t tell since I have not read the books of Song of Fire and Ice, but I can tell you the lore of TES is gigantic. So is the lore of dragon age, there is even has a whole series of books, comics, some mini webseries and even a movie (animated) which are all canon.

Then you need to read the books.

Maybe one day. I still need to finish Dragon Age: Asunder and Sea of Sorrows.

Everyone in game right now (at least in my DR shard) is saying the Zephrytes being blown up is more anti-Cantha from NCSOFT and forcing Anet’s hand and squashing any sort of chance we will ever see our beloved continent. I don’t think that is true and people are just making up conspiracy theories just cause they can.

They also are saying all the Asian faces we have at creation and makeover kits, Majory and other Canthan descent popular-figures in the game and all our Canthan artifact items (ascended stuff and our jade weapons) will all be removed this update too.

They do that you know for sure I’ll never play this again. And never but a product form either company ever again.

You can have some activities that require some hard skills but a specific easy to kill mob (or group of mobs) can also have a drop people like. Just put specific rare rewards behind all sorts of content. Easy content and hard content and there is something for ‘everybody’ to do. If it comes to end-game.
