Each time there are any changes to the skills, all your points will be refunded.
3. You don’t NEED any of these skins. The game is still fully functional and you can still acquire the best gear in the game by not spending a dime (other than the game purchase price). Also, there’s already plenty of skins in the game, surely there’s already another skin you’d find fitting.
BS. What if obtaining exotic and ascended gear was only possible with abysmal RNG? By your own advice, you don’t need these to play the game.
What if entering a new area was dependant on rolling 1 on a 1000 dice, and you could roll only 1 time per day? By your silly argument, that is fine as well, because you can indeed enter the area at some point, doesnt matter if its in 80 years, and you don’t NEED to enter a new area anyway right?
The OP is right, giving a ticket for 10 achievements would be the right way to go. It’s not like it would ruin the market.. it’s soulbound. Or make it tradable and keep the current drop rate.
Lets hearken back to a time when culling was in the game. A lot of people went on the forums talking about how it could never be fixed and would never be fixed. As we know now, culling did get fixed.
Well yes but that’s a different thing entirely. Culling was a ‘feature’ that could be turned on/off with a single switch at any time. They tried to make culling work but in the end they gave up and turned it off.
Skill lag is a wholly different beast and to fix or at least mitigate it, ANET would need to buy a LOT of hardware and bandwidth. And all that ONLY for a couple of people (the few thousand that play WvW are a couple compared to the millions of other players) and ONLY for SM sieges when all players come to 1 spot. You can see why this is just not happening. It’s bad investment atm. And it’s sad, because WvW is the best aspect of GW2 and should become the main focus of the game.
Only then, when WvW becomes the focus, more arenas are created, and hundreds of thousands of ppl start playing it on these new arenas, only then can we expect ANET to invest into ultra fast servers that will mitigate skill lag. Right now the hardware is surely calibrated at medium load PvE events. That’s where most of the load is from most of the people. SM castle sieges are too rare a case for them to spend huge bucks and that’s the reality I’m afraid.
For them to invest now into better hardware for WvW would be like buying a ferrari as a cab in New York, you’d be stuck in traffic for 99.99% of the time, but very rarely you may get out of the city and speed a little. Bad investment :P
The downed state is one of the best new inventions of GW2 and works perfectly in WvW. Only thing that needs to change is downed skill balance, some classes got god mode skills (mistform) while other classes (engi) have basically just a ‘wave white flag and die’ downed skills. Infuriates me seeing all the mists fleeing back to a keep through portals when all I can do is throw a hook at someone and miss 80% of the time, even if it hits, it makes no difference. And the explosion is a joke. That’s the only problem atm, problem is anet plays only thieves so that will never be fixed.
Any positives are nullified by the way the jade tickets were handled. People who don’t want any get loads, and I who really wanted one, get none. Why are they not tradable?
No tickets still. Easily over 1k chests opened. Very poor move Anet, very poor move. This player won’t spend another penny on this game if this is how new content is released. If at least the boxes were permanent, then in time with this drop rate, maybe in half a year I’d get a ticket… I could accept that. But 0.02% for just 1 month and no other ways to obtain the skins?
1. Bigger map, keeps should not be able to treb each other and the zerg should not be able to reach any place on the entire map in 60 seconds.
2. Better servers to host WvW. It is a joke currently, how did it ever pass as playable? Skills are unusable during SM fights.
3. More maps, different map for each borderland at least. It doesn’t have to be 100% balanced because.. WvW isn’t.
4. WvW is the main feature of GW2 and should be treated as such. Rest of the game is just an addon. Additional teams should be moved to work on it, expand and improve it.
Its ok as long as each class has a similar ability.. engineer has abysmal downed state skills compared to the other classes. Skill 3 should be rocket boots that can shoot you towards a keep gate.
Destiny’s Edge had nothing to do with slaying Zheitan, they were flat on the floor the entire fight…
I think it’s time we had a discussion about this shameful practice. I’ve been playing WvW since launch and have witnessed multiple incidents of intentional double-teaming. Sometimes servers unintentionally hit the same target, but I’m talking about commanders from two servers colluding to gang up on the third server. I’ve never done it and I think it should be considered dishonorable and tantamount to cheating. The whole point of WvW is that it’s a 3 way match up. It’s gotten to the point where I think Anet should implement some changes to help discourage this kind of knavery. This recent match up (I won’t mention servers) I was shocked because one server approached us to team up against the third server. Our noble commanders declined. Then the server that approached us teamed up with the other server to “get us back” for not teaming up with them. As if we were offending them by NOT wanting to cheat. It’s gone too far.
I’m curious to hear your thoughts on what can be done to prevent or discourage teaming up. Can it be fixed? Should it be fixed? Is it cheating? Discuss…
If you were here since launch you should know that 2 vs 1 IS the balancing solution ANET has planned for WvW. They stated that numerous times. Of course the two weaker servers are meant to ally against the 1st place holder. Sadly, few people/commanders understand this, or gave up long ago, due to lack of an in-game cross server diplomacy system I proposed many times, so most of the time the tactic is to ‘take Anza’ no matter who owns it. I’m always against striking anyone else but the leading server, having the big picture in mind, but most people seem to focus on getting 2nd place, so they hit the weakest server. That’s how you get the ridiculous end results.
In other words what happened to you is impressive it’s good to hear some commanders consider alliances – only if its against the leading server though. Allying WITH the leading server is indeed dishonorable.
More revealing male armors.. light and medium.
Not really.. you get laurels for dailies and monthlies, and these can be done almost exclusively in WvW. At least I do that.
There are better ways to balance than prevent players from logging into WvW. Too many ways were already suggested, but the devs just don’t listen and I’m tired of writing walls of text over and over again. The first step to balance rankings is to apply modifiers to the score gained from objectives, depending how many people play on your side currently. If you’re outnumbered, then holding a single tower against great odds would be almost equal as holding the entire map as a dominating server. It’s not the complete answer but the first step.
Another addition would be to unlock additional NPC forces you can recruit if youre outnumbered. This way you don’t prevent people from logging in, but get a boost for yourself. Siege could cost less when youre outnumbered, you could deal more damage with the siege, take walls down faster.. etc. Straight damage boosts for the players would not be a good idea though. Imagine a group of 5 thieves with a +300% damage buff :P But boosting a team by proxy.. like by boosting the siege they use, or giving more HP to the towers they hold.. that’s a step into the right balanced direction.
I was wondering too why some thieves can take my 30k hp toughness built engineer in a few hits, while shrugging off nearly all damage done to them. It’s like they were level 160 or something, or I was lev 1, but I’m in full exotics. Can someone confirm there is indeed such a bot that can do this? Average 6k damage per hit is clearly a bug, especially considering it was not a glass build, felt more like I wakittenting a guardian.
EDIT:
And yet again.. I wrote ‘WAS HHITTING’, why is the filter implying I’m swearing? And yes I know why it triggers, and it’s clearly a bug.
It is ridiculous and makes no sense at all to make the DB and moa races not count as achievements. Who in earth thought that up? The correct course of action is to lower the total number of achievements needed for meta, but not take out the really kittenes from the equation. So that those who did enjoy the pvp and gambling will be rewarded not punished. Myself after seeing the horrible shattered wings with the broken and skewed animation, I’ve stopped working on any of the achievements. The normal wings look much better. Very poor handling of this event after the pretty awesome adventure box.
EDIT:
FYI I wrote ‘H.A.R.DD. O.N.E.S’ that was somehow changed into ‘kittenes’. Very poor handling of the forum filter as well…
(edited by zerospin.8604)
Got two on two different characters, both times from WvW npcs (archers, guards etc).
More like – new content – and unavailable. Like the skins. What’s even the point?
You do realize that you’re not required to complete the new achievements, nor are you required to purchase anything from the Gem Store… right? They’re all optional.
You’re not required to play the game
You’re not required to take a bath
You’re not required to breathe air.kitten argument.
Of the three sentences you listed, the last one IS required if you want to continue to exist. The first and second are indeed optional.
If you want to continue to exist. Which is optional if you’re aware of what people do when they don’t want that option.
Everything is optional.
You are not required to exist either. That too is entirely optional.
That’s why such arguments in defense of RNG and weak content are pointless.
In my opinion the quality of the skins is irrelevant – can’t obtain them with that drop rate anyway so it’s pointless content – for me. When will we get content updates for WvW? That’s the only interesting part of GW2 now.
Right now it makes no sense whatsoever to defend camps, because they are not defensible, unless you have a blob there accidentally, for obvious reasons. But that doesnt count. You invest into the upgrade, you siege it up, guard it a bit, but have to leave, then a few enemies come and take it without any problems, even if you stay there and call out, it will be 80% times too late for anyone to react. Why? No palisades. Siege is overrun and destroyed instantenously even by a 5 man team.
A palisade upgrade in 3 tiers would be perfect. A wooden log palisade like in the middle ages. It would surround the camp with wooden walls, that unlike fort walls, can be destroyed by normal attacks and take extra damage from siege engines. It should be strong enough to delay small sized teams, make siege inside the camp useful, give time for defenders to react, but it wont really be any issue for a zerg that will take down the walls really fast.
Examples of the upgrade:
Tier1:
Adds wooden walls around the camp. The walls can be passed through, but slow the enemies down to 20% of the speed and apply bleeding. Its like spiked wooden poles in the earth. The thickness of that area could be say 5 meters. You can port past it.
Tier2:
Adds a impassable wooden wall to the existing spiked poles. The wall can be destroyed by normal attacks, each segment has the hp of a normal flame ram. The wall takes extra damage from siege engines. Can hold 5 people off for 2 minutes.
Tier3:
Reinforced walls, more hp, can hold 10 people off for about 2 minutes. Archers added along the wall, that shoot through narrow cut out gaps at whoever is outside while taking 50% damage from attacks being protected by the palisade.
This is badly needed. Anet, please figure out how to add it Perhaps my version is too OP, but these things can be adjusted as needed. But walls for camps are a must. Otherwise you can as well remove all upgrades from the camps.
No. If they did that then casuals would no longer be attracted to WvW and it would die / Arena Net loses revenue.
Eh what? That statement makes 0 sense. Giving you alternatives to zerging does not mean casuals would stop WvW… they can and still will do it as before. But they would also be able to do MORE than just zerg, and options are never a bad thing. In fact, if they introduced the new defense reward system I just proposed, it would get more players into WvW than ever before, and they wouldn’t just zerg.
I propose a new way of handling defense of objectives. The current system favors blobbing and punishes those who upgrade, siege up, and stay back to defend towers.
The way the game handles upgrades and defense events needs to change in a way that rewards the defenders a lot more. Each upgrade you order and pay for, is remembered by the system, like.. a bet. The total sum you spent on upgrades in a given objective is remembered and after each successful defense event (* more on this later), the players who paid for the upgrades would receive say 25% of their invested money back. So after 5 defenses, you are already making money. The same goes for placed siege. If the siege was used actively and dealt enough damage to the enemy during a defense event, the owner receives extra rewards in form of gold, exp and wxp – even if he doesn’t use the siege himself. This would give a lot of incentive for players to siege and upgrade objectives to the max, and guard them instead of blobbing with the rest. More importantly it won’t punish them for helping the team as the current system does.
I said it’s like a bet, because that’s what it is, you don’t know whether your team will be able to defend the tower, or if the enemy will attack it. Also, you only receive the extra rewards IF you’re participating in the event.. so you must be there to defend it. Because of this, I propose to increase the costs of upgrades, if this system is introduced, to make it a high-stakes gamble, which could become addictive – and profitable
- What is a successful defense that would grant you % of your investment back? It can’t be just a thief tagging your tower obviously. The total amount of damage dealt to the enemies around the objective needs to be calculated, as well as the damage they deal to friendlies and the walls/doors. Based on that as well as the duration of the attack, would the events be judged as successful or not.
I’ve spent an hour tonight guarding bay in the borderlands, placed sup siege, repaired wall , watched out for the enemy, and when they finally came I called out and defended. Of course they took it really fast. Not the first time, not the last time. Waste of not only the sup siege, but also 1+ hours of my time, and all the loot I could have had if I said ‘screw the fact were in the reach of the 1st place I’ll join the train in EB’ like most others. I mean that is undisputedly THE single best way to do WvW to get max gold, drops, badges, karma , exp AND WXP – to blob. The current system still favors it.
In some other games, killing an enemy that has been tagged by say 20 people would give you only 1/20 of the exp and loot. Here however, you can tag the entire raid, wipe it, and get full exp and loot.. you see the problem?
If you pay say 50s for an upgrade, it should count FOR YOU, not just for the team. Each successful defense of a tower that you invested in, should grant you 20% of your money back. This means, if you upgraded a tower single handedly you would be getting a load of money back, IF your team defends them. This is good investment. If you placed siege, and that siege was used to deal damage to players or walls, you should get extra credit, gold and exp for it when the defense event ends. This would give incentive for poeple to siege up towers to the max, and guard them, because they can expect to get their money back with percentage if it stays up for a long time.
Agreed, it has to change. Atm not only there’s no point in placing siege in borderlands, because people just don’t go there or defend, so it’s a waste 85% of the time, but with the ticking on top, the superior siege I place is just wasted because nobody refreshes it. So I refuse to siege up borderlands from now on.
A mitigating solution:
- a siege timer is frozen as long as the owner is on the map, no need to refresh it
- once the owner leaves the map, the timer ticks down, 1 hour, but anyone can refresh it by just running past it, in a certain radius, say 500, and doesn’t need to interact with it
Useless and far too costly trap. For that price I’d expect it as a buff for myself for 30 mins, that reveals thieves every couple of seconds in a radius of 1000. Even then it would be useless. So what if you reveal a thief, not like he can’t still escape with their OP mobility, and you waste the cash spent on the trap. The trap should also apply a 33% slow debuff to the thief. You know, just so the class is brought down to the plane of the other classes.
Still no ticket here. What are the chances to roll 1 on a 50000 side dice? Sure, if 3 million people roll them a lot, a few will get the 1. But it will almost certainly be others, not me.
As long as a more sensible and logical system is not implemented, such as accumulative drop chance, I’m not spending a penny more on this game. The skins are account bound, there is no reason to make them as rare as they are now. No reason to hand them randomly to people who don’t want them and withhold them from people who like them.
Make us solo champions while doing impossible jumping puzzles to obtain the skin. That is a challenge. That is worth something. That is a good way to make something rare. But RNG is just cheap money grab and a waste of a good resource.
Why would you want to trade candy for wings?
A the current price, 100k candy is around 8 pairs of wings.. if you sell the candy and buy them on TP. I guarantee you nobody has and probably never will trade candy for wings. maybe in 8 months when the price of a wing goes above 100g a piece.
Funny how many people are so eager to ++ a post that is 66% wrong.
1) Agreed, no brainer. No +10 or hero awards from me..
2) So, you do not see how nodes such as this kill an entire point on the GW2 manifesto? Really? A whole month? With a 0.02% chance? Do you even know what that means? How ridiculously low that chance is, and what if you want multiple skins for a couple of chars? So what if the coffers drop like rain, you got blinded by it. It’s the combined chance of coffer drop * ticket drop that counts and that is.. abysmal. And many even after farming for the whole month will go out without a single skin, and I fear I will be one of them, because I’m already bored of the farming and chests don’t drop often in WvW. A whole month? That is your excuse? So you would also blindly defend the old crafting node system from other MMO’s right? Because hey, you have years to gather the mats, so it’s ok if others steal them. That does not change the fact it breads bad feelings, and negativity.
3) Haha that really made your post invalid. The weapon skins don’t affect you in any way? Sorry what? This game is all about getting cosmetics. Infused / exotic gear is meaningless, the +5 on a stat is nothing, and yet most people would be outraged if you could buy them for money. A skin > infused gear in this game. Period. Don’t believe me? have you seen the price of legendaries? Now think for a second. What are legendaries? Do they make you OP? No, they are… skins. Skins are the single most important thing to obtain in this game. That’s why RNG with an abysmally low chance being the single way to obtain some really awesome skins, and during limited time, is a huge problem. At least you have unlimited time with legendaries. Not so with the jade weapons.
So yeah, it is sad to see how many fail to see it. Mind boggling indeed!
The complaints thus far are absolutely mind boggling.
1.) Moa racing shouldn’t be part of the meta achievement.
Congratulations, it’s not! You only have to do 10/14 achievements, of which you have AN ENTIRE MONTH to do.
2.) The holo dragons in the lower zones breed competition and contempt.
It was like this during Halloween, Christmas and SAB. Same plan. But considering all the impatient people want to finish this in a day, it’s become a major issue. Once again, YOU HAVE AN ENTIRE MONTH. Let the crowds thin out and you’ll see the nodes sitting around doing nothing, like they have in every other event beforehand.
3.) RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG RNG
The biggest complaint I saw in Southsun was the fact that the crates off mobs didn’t drop enough. Now they drop off ANY WORLD MOB and now you have coffers being THROWN at you, in the hundreds and thousands, and you DON’T HAVE TO PAY A DIME. The RNG boxes have worked the same in EVERY OTHER HOLIDAY BEFOREHAND and if you’re a sucker enough to keep buying into them, then I have no hope for you as a human being. People are picking up hundreds IN A SINGLE DAY, and once again, THE EVENT LASTS FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH. The weapon skins DO NOT AFFECT YOU, in ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM, so have some WILLPOWER and DON’T BUY THEM.
By god, ever since that “other MMO” started handing everything to everyone by just logging in, everyone thinks that’s how it should be now.
The problem with a 0.02% drop chance is, its friendly for multi-million player games, but very unfriendly to the individual. It means hundreds of ppl will get it, but not you…
But those people didn’t spend real money on some things, they just invested their time i n playing the game… this is different, some guys opened rich coffers worth of 50 euro and got nothing, do you understand it?
How is it different :S Time IS money. The time spent on farming could be used to work to get 50 euro, or less or more, doesn’t matter what you spend, time or money.
Second, when you PAY $15 a month then you are entitled to things, when its free then you should never expect to get more than the $60 game you initially paid for.
Tell that to the people who paid more than 60$ for the chests and got candy I’m not one of them, but I know scam when I see it.
It’s not even new. Remember the cow launching bets? It’s exactly the same thing. Just a random roll.
I think they fired the guy responsible for scaling :P A couple of times I waited for people to come, threw grenade barrage (that usually only takes 50-60% of the health) and instakilled the whole lot, leaving others like this: -.- All that while I waited with activation for them to come, making me feel bad, so that’s how etiquette is rewarded by this system.
Yeah they look horrible, clip through my head on Asura, stretch and what not. I decided to use the normal ones, look much better.
- Announcers and Commentators. ‘You have taken the lead’, etc.
- Remove inductions from the skills
- Improve targeting to shoot whatever you aim the camera at
- Winning should give you 10-30 dragon chests, not 1….. considering 1 chest = 2 candy on the average, and loosing is 1 candy. Also there should be a chest to loot with small chances for pets, skins, tickets, exotics and precursors. Loosing would only yield 10-30 dragon chests but no special chest. I mean, smashing 2 pinatas == spending a longer while in a game that is potentially a waste since your team looses?? Who thought that up?
How about this, group players into categories, depending on how often they leave games. Then try to put them together with people from their own group. So if you dont leave and play to the end, you will be placed with people who also play to the end. If you leave, you will be placed with people who also tend to leave. This will encourage you to not leave, in order to stay in the matches that actually work as intended. There could be a group for AFKers as well.
Of course spending four hours camping holo boxes is going to be boring, because it isn’t meant to be done that way.
Can you guarantee me that I will get a handful of tickets playing casually if opening 4000 boxes gives often none? This game is all about cosmetics, and these skins are not obtainable in any other way..
Dragon Bash! All new content and mechanics in Guild Wars 2.
- introducing node stealing!
- fierce competition!
- ruthless screwing over your fellow players!
- you will hate the sight of other Tyrians!
- only a hundred thousand tokens needed for a back item! that’s 100x more than in other games! You get to gather them, for free!
- pay more than 50 euro for a cosmetic item and get nothing!
- your adventure begins NOW!
;)
Sure I try to follow my own etiquette and wait a few seconds if I see someone on the horizon. But you are wrong, there is very little time. I’d like a couple of skins, and got none from hundreds of chests. Don’t assume people are playing 24/7 for a whole month..
Yes they disappear. It’s a pain in the kitten ;/
This is how:
2 kinds of chests as it is now
- one with tiny, say 0.05% chance of dropping a ticket. The chest drops a lot from everything like now.
- one with larger, say, 5% chance of dropping a ticket. It can only be bought for gems.
Now the biggest difference that makes this RNG work:
Each dropped chest MODIFIES the drop chance of the ticket. For example it adds 0.05% for each opened chest. So after opening 100 basic chests, your chance will be 5%, and after 200, it’s 10%. And so on until 50% cap. If you used the store chests, you will add 5% for each such chest, so after 10 chests your chance will rise to 50%. This is not all however.
As soon as the first ticket drops, the drop chance goes back to what it originally was. And stays that way, just like now. This guarantees that your hard work / money will be rewarded with at least 1 ticket, and prevents excessive farming.
The main difference between this implementation and the current one is, in mine you are always going to get at least 1 ticket, guaranteed, with some work, but without spending days farming, and if you want more, you will have to farm or spend lots of gold, just like now. In my implementation, if you buy the better chests for real money, you WILL be rewarded with a ticket after a couple of chests.
Just FYI, I know the money managers will never allow tens of thousands of $ to slip through the cracks of fairness
Yeah was about to make a post that this RNG system gives tickets to those who don’t want them, and punishes those who really want them and even pay real money xD
It can be a blast, when both teams are well matched, otherwise, if only 1 team cooperates, or there are Akitten people, it becomes a frustrating pain in the kitten.
It has promise, but needs work. Like, improve targeting, why is my character shooting all over but not at the enemy in front of me. In a fast paced game like this, I expect to shoot at whatever I look at.
And why are there inductions in a fast paced PvP game?
Overall its a nice spoof of a Q3 arena map. The flow is decent, but the targeting, inductions and no way to kick afkers and balance teams are a problem. I would add a block/reflect skill, like, when you press the right mouse button, you raise a shield and bounce the ball back but loose some endurance.
I picked defense against guards since i like to solo camps.
you get +1 for the achievement if your moa is among the first 3, so it’s a 60% chance.
got mine after 3 races with first, first, thirdYou need to get 1st place for all 3 points. I know this because I’ve gotten 2nd place several times in a row and only 1st place actually counted for the achievement. So no, it isn’t a 60% chance at all.
Actually no, I won only once, then 4x 2nd and 1x 3rd and completed the achievement.
Just form a party and co-operate instead of complaining. It worked fine for me to do that and nicely asking ppl to wait a couple of seconds before interacting with the holograms…
Really? I was in a party with another. I waited for him to come to the holo spot I found. Another person came and activated it before my party member arrived. Your point fails. Stop defending ANet when they are in the wrong.
When I farm the holos, I always dread seeing another arriving first.
I sigh with relief when I’m first and there is no one in sight – all mine!
I wait when I see someone incoming, but I know I’ll get less loot and it’s annoying.
Most people don’t wait.
And I wonder, why ANet keeps breaking their manifesto promises over and over again?
Yeah.. I farmed for a couple hours yesterday, hundreds chests opened, and only 2 risen knights haha.. perhaps returning to play was a mistake after all. Waste of time.
Greed > ALL when it comes to MMO companies, no matter how lofty their aims may be before release. ANet could have used additive chance, add 0.05% drop chance per each chest you open up to say 50%, then reset when a ticket is gained. But nope. They are not alone in it, all MMO companies are like it.
Dropped for me from an archer in WvW. All i got from 150 opened chests was one risen knight. Luck evened out I guess.
Yeah bad design.. I try to wait for people if I see they are incoming, but it is not rewarding at all, I get much less loot this way. I can kill the whole bunch in 3 seconds with grenades, so if only 1 other is around, and does the same, we both get less since some mobs will die instantly before both of us can tag them. And 3+ people? Haha.
The mobs should be veterans at least, with a champ here and there, scalable to the amount of people. So that they have time to come and get the loot. These holo mobs are like a bunch of harmless bunnies..
Gandara here. I admit it wasnt much fun last week when we had the upper hand, was just a WxP grind and PvD. It was also obvious given the new system hat this week we would be the ones to be facerolled. And so AM is indeed winning completely in points overall, but we are wiping their blobs regularly, and even managed to hold our towers and SM for hours against both servers at the same time today (we are on 3rd place atm). This was some of the best fun ever. Turning blobs into lootbags. Even though were last.
I do feel as I felt since the start, that we are playing this game wrong, Gandara should unite with FSP and strike AM together, two lowest servers should bring the stronger server down to their level. Still after all the months, it doesnt happen. Because the devs still havent implemented a in-game server diplomacy system like the one I suggested many months ago. Now all I see is farming Anza most of the time in EB (that belongs to FSP) and the keeps of AM are not touched at all. Why? Sure it’s easier, but the real reason is, that there are no mechanisms in place to create a cross-server alliance inside the game.
What use is a out of the game alliance, if you cant get both server zergs together to attack the overwhelming top server blob? Most players attack all that is red ally or not. You need systems in place, voting for alliance, friendly fire off for allies, different color (like yellow) for allied server forces, a cross server alliance chat for commanders etc. Otherwise you will always and forever see XXX-XX-XX scores after 24h no matter how you adjust it.
To the devs: by design you wanted for the two lower servers to attack the stronger server, so why haven’t you given us the tools to form alliances?
