Thanks to everyone who creates wonderful fan art, day in and day out. We can feature only a few pieces a month, but we do view and appreciate everything our community makes!
Share here or share on Tumblr (use #GW2 Fan Submission tag). We’ll keep an eye out for what you make!
That could possibly be the quarantine system in the OS trying to protect you. If you drop it in the Applications folder, run it (to free it from quarantine) then move it I think that might work… (this is completely untested and purely theory)
I’ll look into this.
Any heads up if there will be an update to the client in the next release? ^^
If all goes accordingly, there are several fixes in this coming release.
Also, any information if MumbleLink is coming to the new client anytime soon?
We have nothing to share.
It functions just like most other apps: drop it wherever you wish. If you have the 32-bit version installed in the default location it’ll try to continue to use your existing data file, otherwise (by default) it’ll store it in the 64-bit app.
Do note that performance may be degraded when using an external storage device since that puts extra work on the system.
I was tagged up on TC, and we ran into that Anet zerg at the SE tower on the alpine BL. It was like…. seeing Bigfoot, Elvis, Tupac and Jim Morrison riding the Loch Ness monster. I’ll admit, I may have chased you guys down a little farther than I would have chased other groups, but I was in a state of shock. I didn’t think about a screenshot until 10 minutes afterwards. It was a good sight to see, though, and I hope it happens a lot more often.
There is a group of us that try and play WvW once a week for a bit so keep an eye out We try to do different worlds each time and I’m not sure the minionmancers will make a return next time. I guess we’ll see.
Are any of you confident enough to solo-roam? I wanna bump into one of you and annihilate you. In the spirit of sportsmanship, of course.
I solo roam some times but I tend to not have my tag up as I wont get 1v1s I’ll get 1v50s. A good way to pull the zerg to another map I suppose…

Rofl. Wish you guys would play more on EU Servers though. Barely ever see you around!
We actually do play on EU servers quite often so keep an eye out for us.
Cal – sent you an example (check mail) where I believe the -MMR loss occurred and a player returned after being DC > 3 mins. Used to happen a lot in prior seasons where we would pray a player would not return as pip loss/MMR loss would be guaranteed.
Ofc it could be time moves more quickly than we think when playing a fast moving game.
MatchID: 2BDE7051-2139-4057-9AA5-199E8C348E93
Start Time: 2017-07-14T21:27:29.824Z
End-Result: Defeat
Score: 501v473 (Ranked Match)- I was not the one who DC’d someone else did > 2 mins, pretty sure and we all lost points.
I took a look at this match and the guy that DCed was gone for about 70 seconds. As you said time can feel a lot faster than it is when you’re playing.
I double-checked this internally, and the disconnected player returning to the match has no impact on the rating loss. As long as they were disconnected for over 2 minutes their teammates (excluding party members) will get -0.
Actually, could you make some minor corrections to that rule? Currently it seems you guys assume that every time that happens the team would lose so obviously they shouldn’t lose rating, but in reality both rating loss AND gain seem to be disabled.
A couple of times we managed to win despite playing with 4 players (if the DC happened late for example) or if the 5th reconnected and we kept on tryharding. However, despite winning the game, we got 0 rating for it.
Once a DC occurs currently there is no reason to play the game because what we do in the match has no effect on the rating whatsoever, which sucks.
If you win a 4v5 (or any game where a teammate is DCed for over 2 minutes) you should still get rating for that win. I’m not seeing any issues with this internally; if you run into this again I’d be interested to know a couple of things:
1) Do you see the 0 rating delta on the League UI at the end of the match, or does it show no delta at all?
2) How does the game appear in the game history on the main tab of the pvp menu (does it show 0 rating or no rating at all, or is the game not even shown at all)?1) It did show the green 0.
2) I don’t remember, but I’ll take screenshots next time this happens.
I did a quick check on your match history for games with 0 rating adjustment and only found forfeits (losses where your team had a dc). What I’m suspecting is that there may be a case where the end of match UI incorrectly shows a 0 rating delta (possibly due to server lag or something else), but you did actually get an adjustment. This would be accurately displayed in the game history so keep an eye out if you see this again.

It’s just a text issue. For some reason the text became marked as unedited, even though we haven’t touched it in a while. The effects haven’t changed though.
The text would normally read:
Earn increased rewards in PvP during community events!
+15% PvP Rank Points
+25% Reward Track Progress
+200% Magic Find
The special event will be running until Monday, 10AM PDT.
We will be conducting scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from 12:01 AM Pacific Time until approximately 12:15 AM Pacific Time. During this 15-minute period, players may have difficulty logging in to the game or transferring between worlds. In addition, EU players may not be able to create a new account or access the Gem Store during this timeframe.

Sorry, just got in.
We had a hardware failure that we’re working to resolve.
EDIT: The failure was in the Frankfurt datacenter, so if you route your requests to Dallas (via 64.25.40.51) they should start working again.
EDIT2: Things should be coming back online now. Sorry about the mess!

There is a bug with outnumbered. We are working on a fix for it now and hope to get it out in the next release.
Just a reminder. See you Wednesday!
Pagination no longer an option?
It’s on the table but I’m not sure when I’ll have time to implement it.
Any leaks about the new fractal?
>:C
See, what had happened was, I made a change to improve the avenger AI so they wouldn’t stomp the wrong people or screw over mesmers, and it was working great! But some merge conflict or someone (maybe me) fat fingering a delete key caused a bug that made the AI always think no players were in range. The fix is going out with the next patch. My bad.

Bug Fix:
Same thing keeps happening to me. That or I get DC’d back to character select.
DC back to character select would be a different flavor of problem; usually a game server crash. Still concerning of course
There was a run of about 50 people last night doing an HP train in Auric Basin and Tangled Depths. Several of us got disconnected 2-3 times.
Very sorry to hear that. There was a DDOS incident that ran between approximately 6:45 PM and 7:20 PM PST. If you were making your run during that time, I would imagine that explains your team’s scattered disconnections.
I also found out: It only seems to happen when I win a match!
Iiiinteresting.
You can click the ‘show details’ button on the crash dialog to get the text I’m referencing.
Good day!
QA has been gathering the reports from here and the reports from [/bug] about the event sometimes breaking after completing the two pre-events and design has come up with some potential fixes. The fixes will need to go through testing and I cannot provide an eta on when they will be good for release.
For now, if the Shatterer event appears broken folks will want to see if another map is open and attempt to get into it.
Thank you guys again for reporting the issue!
What’s the top chunk of the crash report details? The part after “—> Crash <—”.
A connection issue arose late last night (about 11 PM Pacific time Tuesday, July 11) that impacted players in both North America and Europe. After some hours of investigation and work, the issue was resolved for nearly everyone as of approximately 8:00 AM Pacific today (Wednesday, July 12).
I have merged into this thread several separate posts on the subject, and you’ll find the latest news at the end of this thread.
Seeing suddenly extreme loading times. Didn’t have this issue until recently. Would this be related to the ddos attacks? Someone should find them and feed them to Primordius.
The DDOS incidents are usually short-lived and they don’t happen every day, so I don’t think that would account for a substantial period of long loading times. If this is posing a problem — I mean, long load times are never pleasant, but if it’s impacting your gaming — you may wish to submit a ticket so that the team can work with you on this. I sense that this is an individual situation, but the team can provide a diagnostic tool that would be able to analyze what’s going on.
That is so pretty!
Hey all,
Thanks for reporting this issue, particularly rajjy, Oriens, and Healix, who gave helpful details.
In short, we’re aware of the problem, even if it sometimes presents itself differently. I’ve talked with our web project manager, and he confirmed again that this is a known issue and that the site is secure, but we do know that the “scary warning message” may appear for some users and we’re sorry that this is so.
Since I don’t want to tell you to ignore a message of this nature, which oftentime is serious, I have a work around! To reach the support page from the forums:
I’m sorry for having to offer a work-around on this again, but the process above will get you into the system with that one extra click.
Thanks!
Turned it on without announce in case I had to turn it back off again.
It’s probably never going to work with those accounts, unfortunately.
Jon, can you please look into the mouse stuck issue?
It’s in the queue for investigation.
Rajjy — What!?! That’s certainly alarming. Can you tell me when? Would you be willing to see if you still get that message?
For the few of you who are continuing to have connection issues, we need you to please contact Customer Support in a CS ticket. (Click “Support” at the top of this page, then “Submit a request” to start a ticket.) One of our agents will review your situation with you and give you the assistance you need.
Thank you.
Bug Fix:
Bugs should be reported in the Bugs sub-forum. Using “WvW” in the title may be helpful, but that sub-forums is where the reports should be placed rather than in a discussion area such as this.
Trouble: What’s your general location?
Xioely: Are you ok now?
CF: Thank you, I will pass that along.
Hey guys,
We believe that the incident that ran from about 11 PM Pacific time to 8:00 AM Pacific time has been addressed and most if not all players would be able to log in to the game at this time.
However, there currently is a DDOS incident going on. That could impact your ability to log in, so we ask for your patience, and hope you’ll try again in a little while.
UPDATE: The incident appears to have ended.
As I recall, Tarnished Coast was quite a popular home for RPers and it may still be, as well. RPers all endeavor to get into the same map instance, which you probably know can be accomplished for the formation of a group and then the “join [name] on their map” functionality.

Your particular issue is a bit difficult for me to diagnose, given the pictures provided.
Have you tried the 64-bit test client?
- You can’t ctrl+l.click for linking into chat
I wanted to single this out to clarify it. Ctrl+Left-click is an alias of Right-click on Macs, so we use Cmd+Left-click for chat links instead.
However, the addition of Fn to the touchbar for the new type of MacBooks is VERY much appreciated <3

Pretty much everything else you called out, we’ve been investigating at some level.
Thank you to everyone giving continued feedback! We don’t have any particular news of coming updates to share at this time, but are continuing to monitor threads such as this for new issues.
The lost fancy llama was indeed caught in the crossfire and can usually be found hanging out by the Lion’s Arch portal. If it’s not, gliding out toward its old location will cause it to spawn and be teleported again.
