80 Ranger (3), 80 Warrior (3), 80 Thief (3)
80 Ele (2), 80 Engi (3), 80 Rev (2)
lol, only way to make a high bleed stack with nec is shroud 5 and 4 and this two skills need 5 sec to get casted. so if you stand 5 sec next to the slowliest class in the game without dodging or blocking or leaping way from necro, its a l2p issue.
its more important to nerf all this nub “endless mobility perma dodge 10k backstab every 3 sec and 4k dmg autoattack thiefs” and the “i press 2 buttons for endless invul 12k dmg with every GS /AXE hit warris”.
Necro does 60k damage spread over 5 people per a second for a total of nearly 100k damage over 5 people and your complaining about a 4k back stab to one person.
60K a second?
Necro must be in the new raid meta
Great, I’m already nervous that this class is going to be nerfed into uselessness.
Wish i hadn’t pre-ordered now.
This was once an idea…
That looks amazing. I would be down for Eternity looking like that.
The handle is neither here nor there – barely noticeable difference.
Party of five
Great, so instead of a new map we get to watch Bailey Salinger cry for 10 minutes each week.
Monkey Shinezz of Dragonbrand server. Most vocal player and “most” is an understatement
Hahaha…. DB Noobz.
Gonna get that put on a t-shirt.
one of his friends ended up in their own instance of eb and were alone.
You saying ALONE alone?
As in their personal EB?
Maybe they ascended to Valhalla
Better yet, make the Legendary Spikes not account bound. Some of us got plenty of them and would like to sell!
Then sell. It’s a 30s vendor trash, still a decent drop.
Lol, only in WvW is 30s vendor trash a decent drop.
I received 1 spike when the update was released, then nothing since then.
Staff is fantastic in WvW…. bag farming ahoy!
Ah, i haven’t laughed that hard in ages…. not since huluobo’s last few posts.
1. Skill Lag, Skill Lag, Skill Lag
2. Reduce Arrow Cart Damage
3. Encourage fights rather than objective capping/de-capping – more rewards/pips for killing enemy players – provide incentive for engaging enemy players – this is the best part of the game mode.
4. Not solely WvW related, but Core/Vanilla specs need to be buffed to be a viable option to HOT specs.
5. Again, not solely WvW related, but more work needs to be done on poor/unused traits and weapons across the board.
6. WvW class/skill balance – need to find a common ground between PvP and PvE changes and balance appropriately.
Just my 2 cents.
The ol’ Necro Spectral Walk you could use to parachute off any cliff in WvW…. that was the best… even better when some nub chased you off the cliff.
What a bunch of sooks… unbelievable.
Just add these items to PvE to stop the whining.
Scepter >>>>> Axe unless its part of your particular team meta. If your team either lacks in boon strips or designates you as such then go for it.
Pretty much this.
6000 is way too high. Literally only a handful of people would be this high.
2000-3000 would be more appropriate.
Easy Necro deaths is what we get when Anet decides that we somehow need plaguelands instead of a survival button that was actually useful for us.
This. <+1>
They could have added Plaguelands as the missing Well Elite for Necros, but they removed one of the best sources of sustain available to them and replaced it with more DPS, which wasn’t really needed.
Really poor move.
Necro DPS is fine – above average even – just hard to land it with the endless stunlock and focus fire.
Necros need some more stability – revert the nerfs to RS3. Maybe add stability to Spectral Walk. Bring back Plague at the very least.
Revert the nerf to Rise – just test out some small changes from a defence/stability standpoint – no need to do anything drastic.
Some other small sustain buffs would be good.

Illuminati confirmed.
I want to make an Asura Necro also… somehow i have 5 Necros and none are Asura. Not sure how that happened.
Correct – Axe for AOE boon ripping….. When you have a bunch of Necros boon ripping at once it can be really powerful.
I still prefer scepter.
No, it was 1 stack per pulse but I cannot tell whether the change was with the last patch or an earlier one.
That tells you how much Core Necro is used…. surprised someone picked up on it.
:-\
When was the last time WvW got armors period? I think some are glad they even got anything.
#firstworldproblems
This! LOL
They need to fix signet passives so they work in shroud.
I still can’t believe they don’t work in shroud… it’s like the class is still in Beta sometimes.
Also, food & sigils etc…
Microsoft Paint Shroud… +150 points to Fabulous.
This is frustrating. I wish A-net had a suggestions inbox.
Why couldn’t they have added Plague Lands as our Well Elite and maintained the existing Plague Form with some tweaks to improve the offence a little bit?
Plague was really good for bunkering down in WvW – it was probably our best defensive option available. Sure, the DPS was terrible, but it was still an Elite Skill that was useful in PvP & WvW.
+1
This really needs to be done.
A quality of life issue that should have been addressed years ago.
I don’t even use Golem, but this should be easy to implement so for the life of me i don’t understand why they can’t spend a small amount of time fixing this.
I think this is one of the worst threads ever created.
Of course, people can only get high ranks by K-training EOTM….
There is no other way to achieve a high rank.
/sarcasm
People will literally complain about anything and everything.
Really they should have kept the old Plague and just added a new skill “Plaguelands” as a roaming well that follows the Necro – or even just PBAE as it is now – this would have made the most sense.
Removing old Plague does suck. It was a solid sustain/defensive option for the Necro. I see no reason why it should have been removed.
reaper just need a CD on chill apply bleed trait like 5second CD an reaper fine
This. When one toon can stack 27 bleeds on you in a couple seconds, it needs tuning down a bit. Especially when combined with other toons that can throw chill around, bleed on chill just wrecks, then epi and it’s all over.
I’d make it around 8 seconds. One simple change would bring them back in line. No need to slaughter the entire class to fix the issue.
Epidemic needs to be nerfed to a max of 3 stacks of each condi, which would still make it ten times more effective than a staff ele’s meteor shower!
Suggestions of adding a cd to deathly chill are clearly made by players who have no idea how to properly balance. The better option is to either nerf to 2stacks of bleed or revert it back to chill itself doing damage in WvW only (this might be better to discourage simple reaper stacking like we see now). Adding a cd would gut the trait and make it not worth taking.
Epidemic already took a relatively large nerf already. I doubt it deserves another nerf currently, and your suggestion is laughable.
This. 100%.
Epidemic is also pretty bad right now. Perma resistance has already made its mark on this skill…. now you have to get very lucky to land a solid epidemic even if you corrupt boon right beforehand.

8 seconds ICD? That would be an over the top nerf.
They should revert the stacks to 1 bleed per chill – there was no issue when it was 1 stack before – there no complaints on the forums about how OP the bleeds were.
Reaper should still be able to get a payoff from the 4 second ice whirl finisher if people are stupid enough to stand in it. Adding an 8 second ICD would completely ruin our only solid combo.
Same issues playing in Aus/NZ…. average ping is 250-400 for me.
Australia has horrible internet though.
So, what’s up and when do we get to hear something?
Soon™
Happened to me twice.
Pretty funny. Someone make a montage to Benny Hill theme music.
Leave the bug in game – at least it provides a laugh every now and then.
We need something to freshen the game a little bit – getting extremely stale at present.
Sad to see… WvW is also in an atrocious state.
Could get on board with some of these ideas.
#bringbacktheparachute
Oh man, that was so funny – good job
We’ve all been there…. the skills just don’t work, so staff 1 to win.
If you’re new to the class, start of with soldiers armour and berserker trinkets.
As you become more comfortable, you can switch out to more berserker armour until you reach a point where you’re comfortable handling pressure, but still have optimal DPS.
Start saving for HOT armour later on – Marauders is pretty great.
Necro is tanky in PvE… in PvP, not so much.
Please add this A-net… some way to acquire Ascended in our chosen game mode.
Ascended weapon & chest drops are so incredibly rare.
Since the release of ascended i could count the number of chests on 1 hand and i play quite a lot….
Just add dmg to traps and traited steal, and its done, tadaaaa.Dudes respec back to condie pew pew thieves, and we all happy again
Would agree with damage on traps.
You have to actually trait to have stealth on steal – plus this is used by more builds than just ghost thief. Would not agree with this change.
The resistance can be an issue, especially given the cast time of Epidemic. Often i will cast on a target without resistance (or corrupt the existing resistance) and by the time it lands the target has been spammed with resistance.
Resistance is real.
If they revert it to 1 bleed it needs to be moved to Adept (or even Minor).
1 bleed is not a GM worthy trait. 1 bleed is terrible compared to most GM traits available.
Add another defensive trait in the GM slot.
Then we have guys complaining about 2 necros using it at the same time;
16 stacks = 2080 per tick i would say it is “fair” 2080 but then lets just say it happens u meet with 2 necros then RIP in peace bro guaratated 40 stacks of bleed thats 5200/second without other condis….
2080 per tick is not massive whatsoever.
Try getting hit by 2+ burn guards at the same time or 2 of anything. 2 CORs… lmao.
3 bleeds for a GM trait… doesn’t seem that excessive. Personally, i would rather have Chill damage back, which would be a non-stacking, non-ramp up constant DPS. Could not be stacked – this could be for PvP & WvW. PvE can retain the Bleeds if required.
Sure stacking Necros and hitting bulk chills will cause havok, but so would stacked burn guards or anything else.
Well…he’s right that pets carrying Druid damage. For a spec that is meant to heal a lot and be difficult to kill and provide plenty of support, it sure does hit hard. And most of that damage comes from pets and Ancient Seeds hold you still so you can’t dodge any burst. So, a Druid is meant to support and heal, which means that it should be difficult to kill, but then it has a stun break and full condition cleanse on a 15 second CD and then it can stealth. And then they can pop their short CD pulsing stability, only countered by frequent boon strip/corruption, and never be controlled long enough to take damage. Plus they have excessive evades from S/D and staff (not the only profession guilty of this).
So yeah, hard to kill if they know what they’re doing. But then on top of all this, they have hard hitting, practically passive pets (alliteration no intended). And this is where the problem happens. It’s fine that they can be hard to kill, but hard to kill must come with the consequence of doing crap damage, and that is not happening in the case of Druids. Hell, even Tempests can do some pretty big damage with Overload Air and some well played bursts from Burning Speed, while being fairly hard to kill. But the damage of Tempest is active and easy to avoid, but you can’t avoid pets (exception being Bristleback activated skill which has plenty of counterplay). This is why I suggest that rangers themselves receive a damage buff and pets get nerfed. This makes a Druid’s damage more active so that if they want to do damage, they have to sacrifice using a survivability related skill.
This ties in with so many other professions who have skills that do high damage while also being defensive in nature. Ele’s Burning Speed is actually one It evades and does good damage for how fast it acts and how low the CD is. Scrappers are also a massive problem. Hammer has three skills that do something defensive while also doing damage, and they’re all on pretty low CDs, and they’re also all AoE. Let’s see, what else is there? Chronomancers have block that summons a phantasm which can be shattered twice. Though the phantasm summon can actually be dodged. Still, it’s a defensive skill that does something offensive. Berserkers can easily and frequently use Primal Bursts skills while maintain pulsing stability, and each burst give 15 seconds of pulsing healing and when any burst hits, the warrior is cleansed on 3 conditions. Now these are skills that do these effects baseline. Instead, this is an issue with traits have too much synergy with other traits and skills. But then they have stances that basically make them immune to damage for 4 seconds (8 with the passive proc trait) and conditions for 12 seconds.
Notice any commonalities with all these? Everything is too passive or requires very little activity to achieve a good reward. Basically, the risk/reward ratio for damage is out of whack. Druids risk very little to do damage (due to pets). Scrappers risk very little to do damage (due to constant defences). Warriors risk very little to do damage (due to low CDs). Chronomancers risk very little to do damage (due to illusion respawning). Some elite specs have to risk something. Support Tempests have to overload for a full 4 seconds to do their main damage, and most other damage skills are AoE, slow, easy to avoid, require facing your target etc. Reapers have so little defence that they have no choice but to avoid bursting when they’re too prone to damage. But then they have powerful, constant AoE bursts and condi bombs which are only risky when the enemy has enough CDs to cleanse or avoid the damage completely. Revs couldn’t just jump into a fight and expect to tank everything while doing a ton of damage. They had to line up their skills and set them up to do the most damage against a competent player. Yet, they also have constant evades/dodges/blocks. There are other professions, but this post is already getting too long, so I’ll cut it here and summarize my point.
There’s too much of everything, and it’s removing or slowly killing risks that players need to take in order to achieve a desired result.
+1
How about an elite well & signet.
Difference between you and I: I don’t actively seek out conflict like you clearly are.
Lol.. 10/10
August 28, 2012 Game release:
Epidemic has been added to the game.
They not OP, but binding roots is so annoying… unless I’m using it on one of my rangers.
RS 6+5+3 and you have 36-39 stack of bleed on target
RS6? Aren’t there only 5 skills?
Am i missing something?
