As stated by the others if you try to do these world bosses by 1 button mashing you will fail.
I tried the worm fight for the first time yesterday and though we failed I had a blast. It’s good to see more boss fights where actually running around in the right places and activating or picking up things matter to whether you’re going to succeed or fail rather than just spamming dps abilities.
Hello everyone. First of all I’d like to say cheers for these nice responses. It’s awesome to hear that what we are working on is suiting you so well and gives you fun at playing the game in a nice social setting.
Secondly I’d like to stress that the Conclave is always looking for more people who enjoy a social and teamspirited community to play GW2 along likeminded people
So sign up at www.conclave.cc, you won’t be disappointed!
I’m puzzled why this board is still here while the achievements have already been moved to the Historic section ingame. Is Anet planning something perhaps?
I never quite understood why they made this thing temporary though. There would be no harm in leaving the achievements around as a permanent thing, especially as it may promote more people to try out Fractals.
How so? Surely this fight is the same as the original one from the Molten Facility back in the day? Which means it’s quite doable once you get the hang of the routines of the 2 bosses.

The Krait are religious zealots in a way. I don’t have any problem with them setting aside their normal xenophobia to acquire shards of power offered to them by someone who in return wants their assistance/help. The Krait are not loyal to Scarlet, they’re being opportunistic. Their bought loyalty will last only as long as the flow of shards keeps up.
As someone above already mentioned, depicting the Krait as dumb xenophobic types without a sense of cleverness about them would be an unforgivable shallow depiction of what we already know to be a cunning and powerful society with a strong hierarchy.
So, just speaking for myself here, I like what Arenanet has done to this group of Krait and I’m interested to find out where the story will lead us.

@Colesy: Nothing wrong with a Warrior wielding a hammer. There’s plenty of PvE situations where that choice has its benefits.
Say CoF p2, the room before the final boss fight.
Question: Will we be seeing any additional lore being revealed during this year’s Halloween? Such as the Bloody Prince making another comeback in another upcoming patch and facing his father.
Or will this be reserved for next year?
Ah the bear has a tank characteristic, right. that explains a lot. Guess that I’ve been lucky in my 1+ year of playing this game since launch because I don’t recall ever having had the “pleasure” of teaming up with such a player. And I’ve done loads of dungeons, all of them
As a player with 4 characters, none of which is a ranger, I have to ask: What is so bad about a ranger using the bow and a bear as a pet?
- Will have interesting enemy mechanics (teleporting, the right amount of knockdown abilities, enemies healing themselves or each other, will boost each other when they are close forcing us to pull enemies apart to different sides of the room etc).
- Will have a nice number of boss fights where positioning and advanced mechanics will be in place (players having to spread out, join up, move to certain areas or manipulate items in the boss fight arena to get results).
- Will be an actual dungeon, hopefully with a story mode and explorer mode (Maybe even multiple explorer paths, making this a fullfledged new dungeon).
- Will be a permanent addition to the world of GW2 so we can take all the time we need/want to explore it and learn its secrets and mechanics.
- Will get its own token set, so we can save for unique weapons and armour pieces
- Will be tough. Make it hard so we have to spend days if not weeks getting our first full clear while slowly learning the fights.

Don’t forget he’s been imprisoned for hundreds of years, and died of starvation inside a coffin. That would warp your mind quite a bit as well I’m sure. He’s clearly mixed between hatred for his father and seeking approval (he actually feels emotionally touched when his dad fakes a ‘I was so proud of you’ statement).
Also, it’s only the first part of this story. More will follow as clearly indicated by Tassi’s statement that the box won’t hold him forever and that the glazing was already beginning to deteriorate.
It doesn’t matter when you use it. It will create a candycorn node in your home instance. Are you sure you’re really in your home instance?
Likewise, will check it out. Thanks for sharing!
The Mad King himself doesn’t fight players in the labyrinthe. At least not yet, as we’re not sure what ArenaNet has in store for us these upcoming weeks.
I got the complete edition of the book and transmuted it onto the exotic backpack you can buy for guild tokens. Absolutely love the looks and the fact it lights up dark places
It’s an awesomely cool item but it’s not 800 gems cool.
For that sum of gems at the very least it should be accountbound and not soulbound.
Until then I guess I miss out on content and such cause I am not about to have to gather a group of people I do not know and give them my exp and loot.
Shall we say it people or can I? Shall I? Alright then……….

Your point in this case isn’t valid as this new dungeon is permanent content, meaning it will still be there once you reach level 80 on your first character.
As a result you need not be afraid that you will miss out on the storyline and the rewards it can open up to you.
The only solution is a guild only run I guess…
Nope, the only solution is reasonable sensible people like us reporting idiots such as the players described by the OP. Active participation by the proper players to counter kitten behaviour will severely aid ArenaNet in keeping the GW2 clean of teenagers etc displaying the behaviour I once had to face every day when I still played WoW.
I did the new dungeon yesterday with a Pug and the atmosphere was brilliant. People communicated through chat, we tried to analyze what to do etc. No problems whatsoever.
Scarlet is horrible and you know she is horrible. A sylvari no more then 20 year old and is smarter then older asuras?
I think you’re mixing up ‘intellect’ with ‘wisdom’. The first is naturally acquired and can be honed, the second can only be acquired across a certain period of time.
She may be less wise than most of the Asura elders due to the young age of the Sylvari race as a whole but that certainly doesn’t mean that her being a genius makes her a Mary Sue.
I would have to agree that, in terms of mechanics, originality and variety this is the best dungeon so far. Finally a place where Zerker gear doesn’t mean you plow through endless streams of mobs with ease.
Suddenly you have to take situational awareness into account (location, kiting etc), have to target specific mobs in order to more efficiently reduce enemy forces and the power they bring to the table etc.
And of course since this dungeon is a permanent addition we’ll have all the time to get all the achievements so no stress
Like Honest Abe once said: ’“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”
So it’s useless to try.
This game is all about horizontal progression, it’s a gear driven game. Therefore the players will care about gear. In games that aren’t, like GW1, aesthetics are far more important. Once you have the stats, and you are going just for looks, then naturally the environment becomes more important. It’s no longer about numbers, but about how you want your character to look.
Humbug! Utter hogwash I say! GW2 is all about the looks. Getting your avatar outfitted with exotics is easy as hell, collecting certain skins isn’t.
Games like Diablo 3, WoW etc are utterly about the stats. GW2 certainly isn’t, not by a mile.
Let’s change Arah into Disneyland!
Mickey Mouse certainly is more scary than Zhaitan
All this drama is so utterly mindbloggling, almost even amusing, to read. Mostly because:
1. We don’t know WHY this permanent modification takes place. How about we are sensible about it, play the actual content to see how it affects the story and only THEN decide what we think of it?
2. Finally ArenaNet makes permanent modifications to the existing gameworld. I find it puzzling to say the least how people seem to think that this should only add content to the existing world. I think it’s utterly cool that content is indeed drastically modified, resulting in the loss/gain of things in the existing world, to reflect a conflict in the storyline being fleshed out.
For example: If a permant modification was made where a meteor strikes the surface of Tyria next to a dungeon, say AC, this could mean the dungeon would be completely/partially destroyed or dramatically altered. Paths would be lost, changed or added altogether meaning newer players can’t do it anymore. Is this a bad thing? Imo it isn’t. People have been screaming their heads off for permanent content for months and now they get it, they’re already complaining again before even having tried it. From a lore point of view there’s a million ways in which the F/U path could be removed (an attack by Scarlet’s forces on the TA causes it to collapse just to name one).
So I’ll reserve my criticism, if any at all will prove to be applicable, until such a time that I’ve been able to play the new dungeon path. More people should do the same: Respond AFTER you’ve experienced content.

I’ll add you to my social list andf contact you this evening to supply some info, assuming you’ll be online
I have to say Keln, you’ve only been around for a week or so but you’re already highly integrated into the community. Just wanted to say that it’s nice to have yet another active forum/Teamspeak/ingame participant in our community
I love the SAB v1.0 and v2.0 but Tribulation mode does annoy me quite a bit. As you indeed observe correctly it isn’t exactly hard as much as it is a matter of trial and error.
The invisible lava pits, the spikes coming from the walls etc. all of these can only be detected by getting hit by them once and then avoiding them the next time.
Tribulation mode would have been better/more fun if it depended a bit more on actual skill, like is already partially present by not touching any flowers, avoiding the rocks that try to pummel you etc. If more of such elements would be incorporated this mode would be improving quite considerably.
Laughable how the OP dismisses content that hasn’t even been made available yet.
Any sensible person would do the following:
1. Wait for new content to be released.
2. Play said content.
3. Create an opinion on the experiences as gathered while playing said content.
W2 Achievs will return in next SAB return?

Yes, they will make a return same as the W1 achievements came back for SAB v2.0
Excited For World 3/4/5? Comments to World 2?

I love world 2, I just hope that W3/4 etc will have shorter zones. W2Z2 and W2Z3 both take quite a while in standard mode, let alone if you want the bauble achievement.
There is no doubt in my mind that the first race to be added will be the Tengu. From a more personal standpoint however I would strongly prefer to see the Dwarves be reintroduced and made into a playable race but sadly this is less likely, yet not impossible lorewise, to happen.
A thing that popped into my head when using minis: Am I just the only one who’s annoyed that they seem to respond very slowly to player movement?
As in, the player starts to run and it takes quite a while before the mini responds causing it to trail behind the player at considerable distance rather than ‘walk/stand by your side’.
I’d like minis to stay on my character when moving about or standing still so everyone can see it belongs to me.
I love the SAB. The only issue I have with it is that its content overlaps with the Tequila update, which is strenuous on people with less time. Luckily I have plenty of time to play so I’ll get it all, but for people with less gaming hours available to them it would feel more like work rather than a hobby if you’re a completionist like I am.
I loved the dialogue between the various characters and how things tie into the SAB adventure.
I also indeed love how none of it is explained in some kind of achievement like we had in the past that already gave away the storyline progression by their mere description before we as players would finish certain aspects of gameplay.
I do wonder how it would be hard to implement. There are so many quests/achievements that have a percentage counter towards the final goal that I cannot imagine it would be very hard to implement a counter towards collectibles such as baubles.
Another way would be to deal with it as they do with the secrets: Once you collect a secret it’s discovered forever in the achievement. You need not discover all secrets in one playing session. The same can be done with baubles, which would have as a positive side effect that time constraints become less of an issue.
I love it how people do certain new content for 2-3 days and then already complain it’s too hard/too easy.
Give the community a month to figure it out, taking Tequatl up into the standard world boss fights series again that people tend to farm and then see where we stand.
Imo message suppression should be terminated for good as such in the whole of the game. It’s a very annoying feature that does more damage than good as it prevents people who are typing constructive but lengthy messages from properly being able to communicate.
I know it was introduced in GW2 to prevent people from spamming but with the report feature that’s ingame I cannot imagine people who spam useless junk messages will survive for very long without getting a temporary ban on their hands.
You know you play too much SAB when…
- you keep an eye on any snake in a zoo, expecting it to fire projectiles at you at any minute.
- you ask your friends why that polar bear in the zoo isn’t wearing any earmuffs.
- you jump on top of every mushroom you see, expecting it to send you skyrocketing.
I just hope that the Bauble hunting achievements will disappear for next installments OR that they’ll at least introduce a percentage counter while you’re doing the run so you know how many you still have to find.
I’m sure they’re all still going to be there since the whole of SAB is a reoccurring event.

- You find yourself smashing bananas with a pair of nunchucks at the local greengrocer

So here I am, having upgraded/bought all items you can get in the various stores/hidden areas in the game (nunchucks, medium health potion, flute etc), only still needing Moto’s Finger to get the achievement connected to it.
I managed to get to the area where you need to jump to the right side in order to get onto the clouds that eventually lead to the door which you need to open by playing the flute. Trouble is, I can absolutely not make out the contours of the clouds among the whiteout effects caused by the blizzard. I can make maybe 3 jumps and eventually fail to head in the right direction, plummeting to an untimely demise.
Does anyone have any hints/tricks in order to facilitate this jumping section? I love SAB v2.0 and I love challenges but this one aspect is so hard imo it should be part of the Tribulation mode rather than the normal difficulty setting of the game.
