Well anet said endgame will be about chasing skins that people want and we did that in 1st month of GW2.
How many sets of gear have been added since? 0 at all but in gemstore 18 sets not counting individual pieces.
When i started playing i was sure that you will get gear for playing content and then some fancy backpack or helm in gemstore but its actually completely other way around, you buy looks in gemstore and just get some fancy backpack from doing content.

Like in nightmare tower they added gloves and shoulders, it would be cool if you would have to solo the last dungeon or do something specific or just do it multiple times to earn the gear with tokens but no you just do the content once and then you buy gear in gemstore.
Can you say that you got your shoulders by killing scarlet in under 10 minutes? No you just bought them from gemstore.
Ofcourse in game where maps are squares and is full of glass walls i cant whine about immersion but it really feels lame that you buy your gear and not earn it.

Gear is content, there is alot of things to do but noone cares to do them cause there is no reward.
Add timer to 6 jumping puzzles, reward with tokens for doing it so people can buy lawless set for them… BOOM people kept busy for week +
But no instead they take lawless set and split it into pieces and sell each for 300 gems cause why sell 1 set for 800 gems if you can sell it for 1800 gems…

Anet just add Precursor vendor!

If people arent lucky and just want to buy precursor then give them chance to do it at set price for lets say 500 gold.
If someone gets drop he can sell it for 400 and get nice profit, but as it is atm its just BS, the cost of your legendary depends on class/spec you chose to play.
If i would play with focus then i could make legendary already but now i need 5 times more gold just because of weapon set i chose to play.
And i would much rather invest gold in actual game than just give it away to some guy who maybe just got lucky and killed random mob while leveling, why would he deserve the gold i was saving up for months.

Thief requires serious redesign.

Thief just destroys PVP in this game, its not OP but its just such a unique snowflake that completely destroys everything that makes PVP fun.
If there are no thiefs in game you play one way and if there is thief you have to play completely different way.
You cant rotate like you normally would cause thief will always get to your close before you do and as there is no cooldowns you cant just expect that he decaps once and then you can leave close cause he can teleport across map just few seconds later.
If you are low on HP after teamfight you normally just continue playing cause you know no range class is able to kil you and no melee can burst you before teammates help you, thief can just teleport in burst you down and teleport out.
The teleporting just destroys any positioning in fights, you position against melee one way against caster other way but thief just teleports and bursts you no matter how you position.
Initiative takes out any strategy out of fights, you see thief uses interrupt yet you cant still cast your heal safely because he has 2nd 3rd and 4th interrupt, again all depends on thief and there is nothing you can do.
Its just some outer space class, everyone plays GW2 one way but thiefs just brakes all laws of game and play their way and forces everyone play completely different game when joining match.

I know that people will ask my opinion about this so will just get it out here.

So i dont think its good change overall and a lazy buff to necro. Some points -

Scepter – With reapers powerful chill damage, condi build is ahead of every other build and with reapershroud beeing melee based, scepter was already far better option than dagger, so this puts scepter even further ahead of any other necro weapon (necros have only 1 weapon, staff is must have and always have been)

Necro buff – What makes necro good atm beside damage is boon corruption, but at high level necro lacks basicly everywhere else so if someone takes necro they basicly takes it because it counters mesmers/revs, instead of buffing where necro was lacking or where necro was complete trash they just gave it more of what it had, and ye maybe it will now almost force top teams to play with necro but already teams that could bare with flaws of necro were benefiting alot from necro boon corruption, but top teams dont play with necros not because what they have is weak but because of what they dont have.

Necro v Necro – Necro overall is quite simple class its not like for example thief where bad thief is complete trash and good thief is godmode, bad necro can do something and good necro can do much more, this buff shortens distance even more not only because good corrupts show difference between necros but even autoattack shows its, autoattacking in right moments especially with scepter is big deal, even in pro league you could see necro not beeing able to get kill in 2v2 because he was just spamming every button and weapon switching with just 2 chains of scepter autoattack and that poison would get them kill, necro is not class where the more buttons you press the more damage you deal but now even if you dont know when to autoattack and when not i cant imagine going wrong with just autoattacking.

Other players, fun and RNG – Does this make necro more fun? not really? does it make more fun to play together with necro? not really. does it make more fun to play against necro? no. It can take alot of fun away tho, especially if its boon corruption is RNG like other corrupts, having your stability stomp/ress interrupt just cause necro autoattacked cant be fun.

So as i said before at start its just lazy buff to necro. Necro didnt need scepter buff, it kinds didnt need more boon corruption, but it needed buff to become meta pick, maybe this is that buff but i dont think its best way to get them into meta.

Well whenever i complain about broken things in this game they say im biased about necro so here you go some necro whine.

And my biased necro opinion is – Cool, boon corruption on autoattack, thx anet.

I already shared this idea like year ago, but with GS coming up and not having range autoattack aka no reliable life force generation i mentioned this idea here and there and some necro asked me to suggest again.
So basicly necro can never be serious PVP class because we are too reliant on class mechanic which is very RNG in pvp.
If you have 100% life force every fight then you are almost OP if 0% then you are underpowered. The problems comes from the fact that life force amount depends too much on factors that necro cant affect.
If enemy team has mesmer its easy to get lifeforce cause staff auto is gonna hit clones, if its kyhlo match you can just get lifeforce on boxes easy. If enemy team has double thief you are gonna be preassured every time you enter combat and basicly will have no life force most of time, same with ranger.

So the thing is that if necro could enter every fight with 50% life force the class would be good, something like cutting life force from 20 k to 10 k and letting it regenerate out of combat would make it good for PVP, with skills letting you get extra life force inside combat. Or keep the amount as it is but let it regenerate to 20% so we can at least engage and get more LF with other skills

And death shroud is same reason we will always be forced to play with staff in PVP, no other weapon lets you generate life force before engaging. If something like this change would happen it would open so many new builds for PVP necros and maybe even my dream of playing greatsword + dagger/dagger necro could happen.

I was waiting pvp seasons for 2 years so now im trying to be very skilled player and farm everyday as much as i can, im fine with that, beside the smell, really would want to shower but every second i dont play people get better than me and drop my rank.
So my mom asked me if im coming home for christmas but im sure that top colleros are gonna collect only ingame gifts on christmas and ruin my rank.
Can you give me chance to taste the chicken my mom makes or should i ditch my family if i want to stay competetive?

So at last finished my Road to 100% soloq legend run. All done on necro. I have heard from 2-3 people that they got to legend with only soloq too but that would diminish my kitten size so i will just say they lying and im only one universe. Some tips on soloqing to legend:
1. Dont kittening do it, its absolutely pointless, soloq is not that bad but 100% soloq is pointless and just 2-3 games with rat squad would save me at least 20+ hours from this run, for example i was 1 pip away from sapphire but it took me 10 extra hours to actually get there because i kept meeting party boiz.
2. Dont que at night or weekend, late in evening party boiz go out on prowl, especially car trash just waits till everyone beside soloquers are asleep and only then que. On weekends its just mystical time to que, you meet strangest creatures ever and even tho they are in your division you have never seen them in pvp before.
3. Play something that can carry and adapt, revenant or bunker mesmer or if you are very good then thief, pips were coming very slowly until i started switching between celestial/carrion/viper amulets depending what my team and enemy team is running.
4. Actually everyone can do it, as much as i would want to pretend that it took skill to carry bads with time everyone could do it in diamond i met some people soloqing and they were just horrible players that i had never met before in past, the good player progress faster and after while you are left with only bad players in your division so with time everyone can hit legend.

Was amazing run first time in years i actually cared about winning/loosing that much, at last could rage again about loosing etc. What motivated me was watching some other people streams where they would que with party and just sit there 500-100 winning every game while i at least had chance to get a good close match. even tho 30% of time party boiz would destroy it.

The system is broken, its not even supposed to work, you win/loose multiple pips not because you win/loose fair matchup by big point difference but because you win/loose unfair matchup. It already says that system is not working if one of the teams is supposed to win before game starts. But still i had my share of fun so instead of calling it completely broken system i will just say its arenanet system.

So ye same as first season 100% necro 100% solo que, only now on free to play account, time +/- 2 weeks. Diamond was kinda strugle cause its full with revenants but otherwise much easier than first season.

…and people want what they dont have, and they have no idea how what they want turns out in reality.

Everyone on necro forums whine about how necromancer should be attrition class BAM “we continue our focus on survivability and attrition” what even is attrition? I think it has something to do with slow boring gameplay that requires little player skill or something?
All i know is that last thing every necro whined for was to make MM better… so how did that turn out? Everyone loves MM now?

Now mesmers, since this “emagherd pressing 1200 range instant interrupt is hard” spec started to become popular i heard people constantly saying how their “lockout” or w/e gw1 mesmer was awesome and gw2 totally needs it BAM here you go 10 second interrupt. Will it be good? If you interrupt crucial skill now its deadly already, later it will just be deadlier even if you interrupt this skill in worse moment.

Basicly all these changes i have heard before on forums. Some of them probobly will be good, but many will turn out bad. Everyone whined how badly broken warrior and necromancer is for first half year of game, even tho they just needed minor adjustements everyone said its worst thing ever and will never be good. So where is warrior and necromancer now? Well people still say they are broken, but in different context.

Same with elementalist now, bad players say its complete garbage when in reality it just takes more effort and most of elementalist problems are not because ele is bad but because some other classes have OP stuff. (thief on your tail 24/7 for example). So is every ele working on toning down thief? No, most are just asking for ele buffs, which will come and who knows how powerful ele will be in skilled hands.

Now and last thing is new game modes, for this thing many people are spilling tears for more than year now, and anet confirmed they are working on it. I cant even imagine how they are gonna implement this, but its already bad for current game.
I mean seriously what will new game mode give? People said they are bored of conquest one month after release. So adding capture the flag will keep people interested for few months?
Why people dont get bored of MOBAs? Because fun in PVP is all about competition.
In reality all we needed to go esportz was bigger player base which would be incrased by things like seasons and better reward system. + more frequent balance changes.
But ofcourse we get none of this because devs cant improve conquest while working on new game mode. In the end instead of having one esportz conquest we will have 2 unbalanced game modes.
And saying that conquest is boring is just BS, every single game with 2 equal teams is thrilling and almost every ESL weekly has some tight games, but it is boring because the lack of competition, no rewards and no difference between beeing in top 100 and top 900, makes it boring, if they just put in new game mode and doesnt add motivation to play this game mode, what will really change? Only the balance will become worse cause you really cant balance game for multiple game modes.

Listen to common sense not to community which mostly only opens mouth when they are raging about something and cant think clear.

Just was wondering if any plans to make people want to wear town clothes. I see their removing lots of town cloth gear from gem shop, i guess it because noone buys them.
What about adding some benefit to wearing town clothes in towns? That might make people want to wear/buy them. If town clothes would incrase movement speed by 33% in all major cities then imo alot more people would buy them.
I already try to put on town clothes when doing things around city crafting/forge/tp, and imo theres no reason why everyone couldnt have swiftness inside major towns.

Edit: i dont mean that you need gem shop town clothes to get speed buff, but if everyone would wear clothes for speed buff then people would want better looking town clothes than others. And people would put on their battle gear when standing somewhere to show off, but all around city would be people in formal clothes

So new games modes is reason to whine since forever. They should never happen, and hopefully wont happen.
The game is created for conquest starting from very basics. If anet would ever try to support new game mode they would just destroy balance in conquest.
I really want to hear what game mode you think could be implemented in gw2?
Deathmatch? Impossible to balance in mmo, blizzrd have proven this with wow arenas and they have alot more resources.
Capture the flag? Imagine killing bunker or decap engi when he is not forced to stand on point.
MOBA? …anyone who thinks that this planet needs another moba game doesnt deserve to live on it.

There is loads and loads of whining about balance issues in conquest, and we all see how fast anet is with implementing balance changes, new game would just double communities dissapointment.

I dont want to hear whining about how i am whining about other people whining, sooo i will throw out fast idea i had.

We have 1v1, 2v2 servers etc. They are unbalanced, but noone comes and complain about it on forums because everyone understands that its not anets problem and they arent balancing game around it.
So imo they could just create Sandbox Servers and sell them for gems, they dont have to be anything complicated just the basic things we already have on conquest maps: jump pads, orb, cannon, trebuchet, nodes, trees, some buildings etc.
With these tools our creative community could make any game mode they want and anet wouldnt be responsible for the balance issues in it.

Dont like my idea suggest something your own, but i am almost 100% sure that there will be no new game mode, cause then anet has to decide either redesign whole game basics or accept that their pvp is completely imbalanced.

I dont disagree with removing celestial i want that amulet gone from the game just nerf thief first… im completely fine playing marauder till i meet good thief.
How do you survive on marauder? You kite, manage cooldowns, counterpressure, position and be aware of enemies, none of this works against thief.

I like how thiefs are now pretending to be the hurt ones, maybe if your whiny community wouldnt cry so much every time someone said something about how thief kittens on every other zerker then we wouldnt be stuck in this bunker meta.

Its 2 years already and not a single competetitive thing has happened ingame.
Its like 3rd season on WvW 2nd season of PVE and not a single season of PVP. WHAT THE TIGER!
Reset leaderboard put it on 8 week timer, stamp golden/silver/bronze dolyaks on one of your generic back items continue with all that zoo you got up to dragon BOOM 16 months of competition provided, a reason to at least join some que! This system would be so simple and bad that noone would even guess that it wasnt anets idea.

Of course there is those massive PVP tournaments that get almost as many views as some ginger chopping wood in runescape but its just an illusion cause none of top teams ever play teamque seriously and noone tries to get good at teamque, people dont form teams to play the game they form teams to play ESL weekly etc. And thats sad very very sad.

Feels like PVP is community are some apes for anet that just sit in cage running circles till they are needed for entertainment and are put in some half baked tournament.
Every single game out there makes tournaments for top teams to compete we need month of tournaments to even figure out who are top teams from the people we have left cause ingame top players sit in mists trying to figure out best way to color their gear while PVP is played only by newbies who still havent figured out that leaderboard doesnt give you anything at all.

I was standing alt tabbed in heart of the mists today and noticed that a ruby player came up next to me, minutes later another ruby player came. Both stood next to me for quite a while so i logged out irritated by this mix of divisions, i dont want to accuse anyone but im quite sure that they were trying to pickpocket some pips.
Already for a while i have felt that we need to split legendary players from low division ones, so you should do that.
And now if we have split players by their skill you can adjust mists appropriately add for example dueling arena for legendary players where we can practice our legendary abilities and maybe make duels about pips so if someone does not belong in legendary division he looses pips and send him back to low division.
About low ones i dont know maybe give some more target golems to rubies and more pvp tutorial npcs to ambers.
Doing this would prevent division hatred and when some legendary player will try to take screenshot of himself he wont have to worry that some emerald runs into picture.

There is random thief on eu (by random i mean not on pro team or anything) he is almost diamond just by soloquing and ive won every game when he is on my team and if i remember right then lost every time hes on enemy team.
Thief is excellent in soloque carry as it has always been, he can pick easy targets because not like soloquers can ask teammate to help on teamspeak.
The problem is that thief class sucks for bad player. Between good and bad revenant there is not such big gap but bad thief is insta dead and good thief never dies.
So ye its just hard class to play not bad.

There have been alot of suggestion to nerf things what makes thief OP at high level of play and buff things that makes them weak at lower tiers but all thiefs always like to pretend that they are super skilled ninjas and whine as fast as someone points out OP aspects of class.

I even think that as fast as top teams wont have to play double revenant thief might be meta pick again.

Havent seen balance patch for 2 years now.

I just need to say this cause all this “balance” talk is pointless.
If you played this game since release then you remember actual balance patches. Every game update had some balance changes in them now we just have changes after every few months.
April 2014 trait redesign changed basicly how every class works afterwards basicly no balancing of changes.
Expansion same thing it was like 2 times minor changes, do you really think that anet is so perfect company that can achieve what noone else has ever achieved, even WoW has PTR much larger company and much more players who are actually allowed to see changes beforehand and even they gotta work hard on balancing after expansion.

And after expansion same thing they shuffle meta every quarter release and leave it there.
They stack up on changes and do them all at once when you only need to adjust one variable, like with necro buff and bunker nerf, necro needed buff cause cele classes were to powerful, so instead of one or another they remove cele amulet and buff necro.

Perfect example is chill nerf, it had to be nerfed ages ago and if every time they put outfit or glider skin in gem store someone would adjust chill dmg it would be tested and balanced but instead they did nothing and now nerfed it by what 80% and made into bleed. So thats 2 huge nerfs aka just butcher it and move onto next meta.

There is no such thing as perfect balance in mmorpg especially in one like GW2 but they dont even try anymore.
So ye just find the new OP things and enjoy them for next 3 months then move on.

This dude basicly told you step by step how to get in top 100 and you just say its “troll response” thats why your stuck on 50%, you dont understand how kitten works.
I cant play all the time so due to inactivity i climb from 90% to top 100 every other week, and till you get top 100 where people know what their doing its always about how hard you can carry and how good you can fix your teams mistakes.

Recognition of hardcore, difficult PVPers

So theres multiple (not many tho) high ranks who say that it was difficult for them to get their high rank and it should be rewarded with something unique cause they are hardcore.
Problem is that i have checked most of them and i cant find them on any leaderboard, so where the f have they been playing if not in skyhammer farming maps, well maybe they just have been inactive in past few weeks and their rank decayed.
So if you are one of those guys, then post a screenie of PVP statistics and show how much effort you have actually put in achieving your rank, show how much time you have spent facing other teams, show how much time you have spent carrying people in soloque, show how many times you have earned top stats by doing something better than everyone else on team and show that your favourite map isnt skyhammer.

Anet spits on PVPers once again.

First of all if you are one of those who constantly whine about balance and nothing else matters then this topic aint for you.

1st WTS was won by 2x cele burn engi.
2nd WTS was won by hammer guard.
3rd WTS was won by 2x DD ele.

Winners are winners and loosers shouldve have taken the risk and adapted their comps to latest meta etc. not trying to say here that they should have not won BUT how can these tourneys be most competetive if teams qualify with one thing and then because of anet their comp is not as strong anymore.

So now this trash meta we have for while, ive been defending no balance on my stream all the time because anet said long time ago that there will be no big balance changes until pro league is over which was more than fine with me cause i wanted to see one time tourney were people play what they been playing and there isnt some cheese that others teams havent discovered.
Whole PVP community had to live with this “balance” for months just so we get most competetive tourney.

Now pro players…. People didnt got invited, people got kicked, they lost time, they lost money, some of you might think this is joke but multiple players got fkd over really hard by this meta because their teams wanted to stay competetive.

Aaaaaand at the end of the day:
“Pro League S1 Finals will use the Winter 2016 balance update, not the current.”

Who knows how balance will be, who knows what classes will be viable, maybe if pro league would happen with next patch we would see completely different teams or in some cases same teams with different players.

So why spit in face of normal PVPers and pro league players? Well money ofc.
Having pro league finals with current meta is just bad marketing. The finals will be seen by people who dont play gw2 and of course anet dont want them to see every team playing 2x mes 2x rev comp.

True, people started whining about mesmer damage being too high after the patch which is wrong, mesmer have had kittened dmg for more than year already, those kittens shouldve been nerfed long long time ago but before patch mesmers did melt to condis and thiefs so people didnt mind them. Now when mesmers arent on respawn constantly people are noticing their dmg.

Back when they buffed celestial amulet more than year ago mesmer started doing incredible dmg, i remember logging in 1v1 arena and even mesmers were laughing how ridiculous the dmg is, but then everyone started playing celestial classes and only zerks were thiefs who didnt have problems with mesmers, so noone cared that mesmers dmg being too high.

Bottom line is that we have this selfish community with mentality of “its not problem until its my problem”.
Been like that with every class, you can point out something broken but if the player who reads it doesnt experience that then he will say its l2p issue.
Mediguards were broken since ever but noone played them outside 1v1 arenas so they were fine, chill of death always was dumb and could oneshot zerks below 50% but noone cared until everyone started playing power necro.
So ye its same stuff with everything, not like anet would do something but you cant even point out broken stuff in this game till most of community experience it, otherwise they will just deny it.

This is absolutely HUGE and awesome thing for PVP!
It doesnt matter how much they nerfed it, anet adressed a balance issue in patch and we didnt have to wait 5 months till feature patch.
For me it felt amazing scrolling down patch notes checking all tooltip updates and seeing actual balance change and its good thing cause if you want balanced game then you gotta do small changes when theres an issue instead of only dropping huge changes once per 5 months.

I think anet already said they think about majority of players, and majority of players dont coordinate CC, so of course they changed immobilize stacking so majority of players can do it and not only those who us teamspeak.

What makes you think they did it for PvP

In PvE champs and bosses reduce immobalize duration by 50%, and without stacking. It’s pretty an uselessness condition! Not even a coordinated zerg could keep a boss immobilized without stacking!

I dont know man i dont play PVE that much but so far havent had any encounter where you stack something else beside players.
But i sure remember reading people crying about override immobs on pvp forums.

Havent seen balance patch for 2 years now.

Yup dueling in PVE world would be amazing, no open world PVP was dissapointment for me but ok theres one faction and you can do it in WvW, but dueling would be just soooo cool, i love 1v1 and it was 30% of my gameplay in my old MMO.

Just prohibit dueling in all major cities, but PVE world is just FULL of places for EPIC duels.
Imagine duel on some bridge for example where you knock other guy down and continue fight in water.
Not sure about dueling in mists cause you can duel in custom servers, but its pity that i can show off my PVE gear in world but cant back it up with my 1v1 skillz ^^

Now do a time investment analysis of time it takes to get 1000 glory vs time to get 1 gold.

I can earn 2-3 gold in 15 minutes in some of the speed runs of dungeons. :p

300 + gloryand 30 silver 1 team match, for pvpers gold has been always more precious, now their around on same level, but if its true that they are removing glory then gold is still more precious.

No i dont know how to dodge while beeing immobilized, im trying to learn how to dodge the backstab but not with very high success.
Ye i dont run any toughness, i mean i have no problems against 8/9 classes playing non toughness amulet because you know i can kite/dodge/line of sight/counterpressure them. But ye maybe its not thief and i should run different amulet just because of this one class.
So if people want to deal with thief they should just run tankier build, and then we should buff thief damage because everyone runs tanky build. Good idea and power creep is already what anet likes.

They will make all necromancer builds be able to obtain Life Force more easily… and squishy power builds even easier…
They always intended “but you have Death Shroud”… and now they will make it happen.

I really hope your right, death shroud is most fun thing about necro but the fun is taken away alot of times cause of annoying and unreliable LF generation.

Does really anyone want to tell me that player who has ANY idea about PVP could come up with that build, im not even talking about bad weapon or traitline choices im talking about looking at 3 traits in tier and picking the WORST ones….

Ye since the april patch you can clearly see how NA has “improved” their rotations.
You know playing that “effective” 3 point game where they tunnel far mid and constantly go back to cap their close point.
Lets not even talk about that amazing coordinated burst they have when for example helseth used portal got hit by nade ported out instantly and still almost died to incendiary powder.

There MUST be limit on how much you can ping minimap. Just lost a game cause someone was probobly using autoclicker to constantly ping mid basicly disabling minimap for whole team.
I seriously dont understand what kitten would do this and why he cant just go afk if he wants to loose, but this is dumbest griefing ive ever encountered.

LOL this is funny cause it reminded me of some old GW2 review on pvp:

Fella should add that you need to grind 25 skill points for your heal and then some more for traits

I dont really care, but tbh i dont get it the 25 skillpoints isnt big deal and probobly unlocking traits wont be either so why would you want to dismiss such a big selling point of a game just to make PVPer life slightly harder? Its nothing big but for sure i cant say anymore that GW2 PVP doesnt require you to do some grinding before you start it.

Anyone else feels like this?
Im not big RP nerd and gw2 isnt known for its great immersion, but seriously selling dungeon gear on gem store is lame.
They said endgame will be not about chasing stats but chasing cool skins, its more like chasing gold to buy the skins.°
How many new armor sets have been introduced since release via content? I dont mean weapons or back items, but full armors like those in gem store.

You come to necro forums and ask this? “Condi wvw necro is UP compared to most condi builds.” this shows how biased we can be.
I hear we dont have same dps on dungeon bosses or some other AI controlled stuff, so by that logic the fact that we can faceroll over pretty much everything in pvp and wvw makes us balanced.

Dont understand the big deal he just says what all veteran players already knew only anouncing it to public. Everyone knew that if you want to go pro in gw2 then try to put the least amount of effort and dont sacrifice anything for it.
No other team put as much effort into gw2 as vermilion did and at the end of the day all that time is wasted because they got ddosed, the game is joke and anything can happen.
Every single tournaments outcome has been decided by something that players cant affect, be it lag on lan tournament or secret sigil nerfs or whatever else.
If the game would be about skill then a team that wins world championship wouldnt be one of worst teams next year with same players while competing against same players.

Why destroy “no grind, everyone equal in pvp” policy just for minor annoyance?
Will having to unlock trait make you feel like you`ve accomplished something in game?
You want to make new traits to feel like progression? Ok fine make them require rank 60 and cost 50 gold!
But no it will be super easy to get them so i really dont see any reason why just throw major bonus of gw2 PVP away.
Did new heals costing skill points make you feel better when you unlock them? No they just annoy you if you want to try them out on new character.
Only bonus to these unlocks ive heard so far is that their gonna stop newbies from quing up for games without any pvp experience…
I am quite sure that if these new traits are required for meta specs, instead of no newbies we will get newbies that arent even playing meta spec.
It just makes no sense because these unlocks are removing QoL and thats it.

Its good change, i know rank 60s who are average and rank 40s who are pro. If by rank 40 you dont know how to play you arent the brightest kid on block and all after that is just mindless farming.
How about those who grinded to rank 60 before rank points got 5x incrase for teamq? Anyone feels remembers them? Nope.
Ive been casually pvping since release and have rank 53, is that any achievement? No it just shows my time investement.
What will happen after patch? Well probobly when i say to rank 60 thief to interrupt my casts instead of doing random headshots on nothing he will not look down on me in disbelief cause im lower rank.
PVP community is small and competition is low, i wanted rank 50 i got it, i wanted to get in top 100 teamque, i got there with PUG, i wanted to get in top 25 soloque i got there. Did i put effort into it and made me better? No i just realized that average player can get what he wants in PVP.
All these changes will help PVP community become bigger and that will bring more competition. Those who deserve to be on top will stay on top those who dont will probobly get pushed out by some CoF speedrun team.

So you played 500 hotjoin games, still dont understand how to play conquest and dont like that you get insulted for it? Well PVP is not for you then.
You dont care about actually playing good and just want dem PVE rewards and hope other will carry you?
You think people were learning to play the game for last year just so they can teach PVErs now? No i actually just want fun games.
When i started the game i at first played hotjoin till i knew everything about class and basics of PVP in this game then i did research on teamque, soloque and only then i did my first tpvp games… Why? Cause i did not want to kitten off people by making them loose.
