sounds like void jump.
When you log in a character and the game detects that you are on something it doesnt think is ground (stable place), it will put you either to the nearest ground (top of airship) or the highest ground above you (goggles platform)
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
Dulfy’s guide shows their locations in your home instance, in case you’re looking for them. So that’s a plus point

I’ve only seen 1 cat so far.
Is it possibly because I’ve only fed 2 cats, once each? I did go back the next day but none of the cats were hungry.

eeehhhh. Put a target on her head and press T?
What if, you know, the constant mobs that get in the way IS the fight mechanic?
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
What is /gg? Sorry for the noober question.
/gg, /qq, /ff, /surrender, … are emotes to use in raid to instant kill yourself to wipe. It uses your equipped finisher to kill you.

I think he means his charr is standing vertically.

I main Guardian in fractals and got my legendary wings.
guardian is fine. Just know your stuffs. I just dont use gs 4 and F1. and switch out the trait that deal more damage for enemy standing in your symbol since I dont use gs4.
Guard’s other utilities: reflect, Aegis (well timed of course) are useful in fractals.
and having a necro or mesmer in group helps. My friend usually run necro with me

try stacking on the side where you arrive on the platform, not right under the seal
if you havent tried that yet.
Guard with aegis helps with exploding mobs

I only have 1 achivement left for the wings (6 wins in a day. was near impossible for me during S3). So I’m definitely looking forward to S4 so I can be done with pvp league :/

^just want to add that it’s 3 commendations for 3 banners. I find it’s a good value compared to crafting.
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
Many may not notice but hero banner is very cheap to buy with guild commendations.

it’s just 32 and 64 bit use 2 different folders. You just need the correct files in the correct folders.
but yeah going back to 32bit works
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
my sweetfx is still fine.
Did you use 32-bit? it’s auto change to 64-bit now so that may be the reason. but you can fix it easily.

What do you spend them on for scribing? there should be no more use for them.
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
well if you look at the the undocumented changes and the changes in prices. It is indeed less complex and cheaper now

For some reason my best luck finding and succeeding with pugs has occurred at 1-2AM EST on Friday/Saturday night. Is it really that good around reset time?
I tried to stay up late to see how it is last reset. And to my surprise, the LFG was so crowded with all the full clear listing, lfg and lfm. They started filling 30min before reset.
The pug group I got in was all pugs. But we were able to clear 3 Spirit Vale bosses in 1 run. 3 other of my friends were in 3 other pug groups and was able to do the same. 2 groups moved to Salvation Pass after. I had to leave because it was too late for me.
From my perspective, it was like a whole new world of raiding. All those pro raiders that pop out of nowhere and clear the whole raid for the week at reset. O_O
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
The quality of pugs around reset time (all those reset full clear runs) are indeed higher and easier to find than throughout the week. Most of the good pug groups that can full clear both wings in 1 run do it at reset
But it’s too late for me in NA

Doing 3 Tier-3 daily scales, you get all 9 daily boxes (from tier-1 and-2 too), plus all the ecrypted boxes.
From the 3 tier-3 boxes, I got 1 Deldrimore Steel, 1 Damask and 1 Ascended Weapon chest.
I like this new rewards.
Also, Cliffside was significantly easier and faster.

I think reset should stay at 9 est. 10 pm is late for most est players even if it is a friday. RIP the est guilds on reset if this doesn’t get changed.
doesnt the post say 6pm PST which is 9pm EST?

No one is excluded from raiding unless they themselves choose to.
I’ve actually run across a large population of players who are removed from Raid groups because they lack either gear, voice client, or have not run the raid before and are therefore immediately kicked.
“lack either gear, voice client” <— exactly what TexZero means by they choose to exclude themselves. If they want to commit, they can go get gear and download voice client and try again later. Most of the pug groups dont require you to talk, just listen to simple commands like “blue”, “green” for VG and such.
For the “have not run the raid before”, they can make their own group by listing on lfg for a training run or find one that does. I also see in forums and reddit people that offer training runs occasionally.
and if you dont want to do any of them and still want to know the lore, forums/reddit/wiki have people that do summary on lore.
for example, https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/45a4ve/spoilers_most_everything_we_know_about_spirit/

Funny you pick the the Vampire HP as an example to fight in a group.
That one is actually easier soloing or in small group. He will give a random player/pet/clone/etc. in melee range a red debuff which he will leech the health off that person and heal up.
So the more people there are, the more chances he will leech off someone.
You can solo it by using range.
I was able to solo most of the boss HPs on thief.
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
I got it by throwing the bomb on the island instead which is easier to aim. Just hit the island somewhere near the dragon.
You may want to hold it until you have leylin gliding or at least infinite gliding which would make it easier.
And don’t forget to use waypoints if they are closer to copter/dragon. You can wp while holding the mortar.

defaut keys are Alt + 1, Alt + 2, …. and Alt + Shift + 1…..
anyone knows how to use them? I turned on the pin and tried in mini map and the big map. But it didnt work.

Go to your bank, then Wardrobe tab, then review all the armors and weapons to your heart content and find which are cool to you. Then search that item names on google or wiki to find how to acquire.

But now, if u touch that bar anywhere with ur mouse, it suddenly pops up this huge mastery window in my face that covers most of my screen. This usually tends to happen while in combat so i then have to frantically fumble with it to close it.
My experience says otherwise. You can’t click on the bar to open Mastery windows if you’re in combat. You have to be out of combat to do that. I noticed this because the bar was full a few times for me during combat and I tried to click on it to learn mastery but couldn’t. Had to be out of combat.

My guild doesn’t have much in the way of decorations yet. How do you do that spiral? Do you need a much larger thing to place and then remove? I tested a bit with some pumpkins by snow and even the tiniest deletion circle just barely touching the outside edge of a pumpkin still erased it and the snow next to it.
uses Flag Poles. You can buy them with some commendations in the Guild Initiative Office.
with a flagpole, you can adjust the height of the snow. Put pole on snow, put another snow on top of pole. Remove pole. Repeat.
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
They wanted to give us a lot of freedom. With advanced gliding and enough effort you can go anywhere in the zone. ;o If they add more over time then awesome. XD Orrr we can add it ourselves.
o_0 that spiral lol
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
Yeah that area is cool. I actually found it back when we first opened the guild hall. You can actually get to it without the snow. You just head over to where the guild teleported is and before you go down the steps to it jump to the left and hop up. It’s a bit zig zaggy but you get there. It’s an awesome area. What I want to figure out is how to get to the area that is closed off to the top right of the map which is just beyond what you found there.
Yep, I know what area you mean, husband and I spent 3 hours and TONS of snow piles trying to figure that one out, but… apparently, we’re not meant to be there, not even by accident
You actually dont need any decoration to reach that closed up part. It’s actually a 2-parts jumping puzzle by anet and is legitimately reachable.
To get there: go up the stairs north of the Mine, keep going North until you see a big tree that reaches across the valley, walk on the tree, jump on the ledge and walk a bit north, walk up so you will see a waterfall (move your camera abit), then glide toward the waterfall, reach another short waterfall, then on the east of it is the start of the jumping puzzle that leads up (if you go the other way you will reach the lower part and the other side of the closed door). The end of the jumping puzzle is on top of the building inside the waterfall that you can see in your 4th screenshoot.
I actually made a jp that extends anet’s jp. And another jp that reaches the very top, the highest point of guild hall.
You can contact me in game if you’re interested to try or find anet’s jp :P
And on the note that guild hall is still being developed. The top part of the guild hall keeps being changed these past months. It was empty before. Then they added a big tree. Then they removed the tree later. There are other structures up top. The lv40 upgrade only opens up a very small part below of guild hall. So expect there will be a whole lot more.
You are both taking a stupidly long way to access this area.
To the right of your guild crystal alcove, there are stairs that go down to the portal. to the left of those stairs there’s a grey boulder with moss on it blocking the passageway.
Jump on the boulder, and you’ll see there’s a narrow gap on the right side of it you can jump up to and through.
It takes less than 30 seconds to get to this area, with no decorations, from the starting waypoint.
no no. I’m talking about the North East closed part with a big door. Not the center one.
Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
With the current size of the halls and how much space the current buildings take up, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think they would add stuff to the guildhall later on. Maybe new buildings with upgrades, or just areas to build for show as well, maybe even areas for new mini games like the adventures.
Yup. The Guild Hall is being actively developed from what I’ve seen. The top part of it keeps being changed these past months. It was empty before. Then they added a big tree. Then they removed the tree later. There’re big open area and structures up top. The lv40 upgrade only opens up a small part below of Guild Hall. So expect there will be a lot more.

I recommend this site http://www.xoticpc.com/
it’s where I got my gaming laptops. I havent been in the market lately so I dont have a specific model to give you. But go for Sager brand. You can customize. They are good and reliable: lot of options to customize, 2 fans, dedicated GPU, easy to open up to reach components inside (some famous brands laptops are hard to open to clean or change inside), pretty backlit keyboard….
If you do get one, I recommend choosing SSD (for OS and some games/softwares) and a 7200rpm HDD (in place of a DVD player) for storage and other softwares. You can have 2 drives like that. You can buy a portal DVD/Bluray Reader somewhere else.
$1500 is more than enough for your needs I would say.

I fixed that by using the experimental rifle in HoT for jumping

Incoming Quaggans [iQ]
just did it yesterday with a party of 5
Break Garm’s break bar and DPS it down while paying attention to the center. When Eir teleports there, start running. The fire aoes are very slow that you can even avoid while being crippled. Just be smart when moving.
When Garm dies, DPS Eir, dont bother with her break bar. After she rezzes Garm, it should have about 25% hp (in some bug case, it has 100% but rarely). Then repeat with killing Garm. If your DPS is high enough, you can even skip the fire aoes phase.
It will take you about 10 cycles to get it done.
about Garm’s break bar, when it is broken, you do more damage. But if you dont have enough CC, you can just dps it and ignore cc.

Tried inviting, but your at max guilds. I think they mentioned a way to guest into another guilds GH w/o being in the guild, but I don’t know how to use it.
you only need to party together. If a party member is in another Guild Hall, you only need to waypoint in, it will have a popup that let you choose which Hall to go. If you dont see the popup, you can also go out and in the entrance.
Now have 4 jumping puzzles built in the guild hall. One easy, 2 moderate and 1 impossible.
Anyone that want to try them are welcomed.
impossible he said :P
let me up that top already! I will try again later.
these JPs are really awesome to try.

this was quoted in another thread
" I took the forum posting class our Community Team gives in order to be cleared to post on our official forums twice. I’ve listened carefully to the Community manager and our studio producer who pointed out specific things I’d said wrong. I’ve been pulled aside by my boss to be told that other departments were unhappy with things I’ve said. Every time this happens I sincerely apologize and try to make sure I re-adjust my attitude towards my communication style. "
" I’m told I can still post, but much much less, and I need to get my posts approved first. So it’s not really a total shut-up. But I know I’d have to come off as a different person if I go through this procedure, which pretty effectively kills the urge."

the reason seems to be there’re more processes involved in posting on forums compared to reddit
