Transferring soulbound back items?

Only one applicable ‘white’ rarity back item is available, these can be obtained by purchasing a backpack set from the trading post. It has to specifically be the set that you buy and not the cover (The set contains a cover and a brace, the brace being the white item).

Once you have this you should be able to follow the same method as other items for transferring them.

Ride the lightning took him into the future. It left a burnt skidmark like a Delorean. To think about it, there is an ele skill that does a fire trail.

I was running a Fractal on my ele a few months back with another staff ele. We both hit burning retreat at the same time and I had a moment…

Combat Music in Town?

I frequently get this in all areas, more specifically the PvP music. The regular environment music appears to be overwritten at the point the bug occurs and the music will play for around 60 seconds with ~4 minutes of silence (no music).

As you have mentioned, this is fixed via logging off.

Necro’s fear can be blocked too ( except the mark if you have the trait ) and can miss if you’re blind.

So you want a better fear than necro, you want it umblockable, fast cooldown and instant and you want to ignore blind ? I know warrior sucks but please… be serious.

That’s exactly why necro are so bad right now, it’s because every other classes can do the same but better. Even rangers have better acces to fear now.. lol.

“Fear Me!” is a shout, my eyes may not see (until i try to hit someone) but your ears are definitely not deaf. YOU CAN HEAR ME SHOUTING !!!!

If I saw a warrior staggering around, squinting and fumbling all over the place barely able to track my movement I would hardly run away from him shouting in my general direction.

Yes I can hear you shouting, and I find it a hilarious spectacle.

Infinite PVP Salvage Kit

I’d rather not spend another 800 gems on an unlimited use salvage kit for PvP. Either make the PvE version multi use or sell the salvage kits for coin.

As a side note, withdraw numerous PvP salvage kits and use one change on each to avoid auto depositing them.

While I agree with the majority of the posts above this I have to say that switching weapons on an Elementalist while out of combat can be a pain, an out of combat weapon swap option is and idea I can get behind.

When switching from staff to dagger/dagger I am sometimes caught be a stray attack or a member of the group starts an encounter/progresses a dungeon forward before I am ready, the result of which is me being stuck in combat with a single dagger equip.

I wonder if there IS a bug… Or if something like “your pet/clones/minions getting hit by the shockwave also negates the achievement”… For those that tried and failed to get the achievement, what professions were you playing?

I have done this on both an Elementalist and Warrior without getting it so I doubt it is tied to pets/minions eating the shockwaves.

With the balance patch that was released yesterday it will take some time for the new god builds to emerge, however from reading your post I feel a Necromancer could suit your play style.

They don’t necessarily deal the most direct damage, instead relying on conditions. They can also be built/traited to have a lot of CC’s and some of the best survivability available in the form of Plague and Death Shroud

Play an Elementalist! No other class has the ability to pull of extremely complex combos and tactical moves with such little effect!

Your character will be proficient in summoning ferocious elementals that will have you watching in awe as they melt in the heat of an AOE fuelled battle!

You will never need to worry about people on the forums crying about how OP an Elementalists moves are!

You don’t need to spend excess money on two weapon sets as you swap attunements and not weapons!

Half of your moves are buggy? Not a problem! You have four times as many moves as most classes!

You are able to provide almost permanent swiftness to your entire party, this will help you to run away faster!

I am glad I had the opportunity to talk you into choosing this fantastic class, see you in game.

Text based procedurally generated dungeons!
Since release the majority of the Guild Wars 2 community (source attached) have been crying out in their sleep and Arena Net still ignore our demands.

This will bring back classic scenes like;
‘You open the door’
‘Ogre hits you for 41 points of damage’

And not forgetting the legendary ‘You are over encumbered’

Could you imagine the excitement of you and up to four of your friends battling through a dungeon of great magnitude (but small file size!) for hours and as you reach the final room you are greeted in full 14 point Arial script with ‘The Elder Undeath Dragon Zhaitan has awoken’.

I think this will be down to your internet connection, while you may not experience it in other areas of the game, Sanctum Sprint relies on some rather precise positioning’s and timing for skill activation, any delay in the clients connection to the server could result in some noticeable rubber banding as most of the moves act as ‘super speed/teleports’, example below;

If you are moving at 1m per second and you have a delay of 0.2s you will snap 20cm back.
If you are moving at 5m per second and you have a delay of 0.2s you will snap 1m back, much more noticeable.

At the moment any cultists after the first two don’t count as kills for stacking sigils (I.E. Bloodlust), I think the debuff not resetting will have something to do with this, possibly counting them as critters/objects.

Karma and temple of balthazar

Kill Tequatl daily (more chars = more karma): 14k karma
Level 1-10 Fractal (with karmic infusion): 9k karma
Level 11-20 Fractal (with karmic infusion): 9k karma
WvW: Unlimited Karma

Do this and you can farm 30k Karma a day in a couple of hours, if you don’t want to do this then maybe a legendary isn’t for you, a legendary weapon requires participation in all areas of the game.

Check here throughout the day to find which server Balthazar is open on, guest to that server, collect loots.

If this is too much for you, buy it from the trading post from someone who put the effort in.

Wait until tomorrows patch and then drop 120k glory +16g on the tome of knowledge items. You will be level 80 with a /age of about 20 minutes.

The insignia recipes will most likely be a karma purchase in a similar fashion to Ascended inscriptions (Ascended inscriptions) .

As for the armour recipes I would expect anywhere between 5 and 30 laurels (plus 3 – 18 gold) for a set depending on if they are purchased per set or individually. This isn’t too bad as you can get 40+ laurels a month via dailies/monthlies and achievement chests.

While we could excuse them for being gone on a holiday weekend, the fact that the devs continued to post in PVP/WVW threads is troubling.

Many of the posts in the WvW and PvP sub forums are posted by dedicated dev’s who are focused on that area of the game as such they won’t speak on this release as they havn’t worked on it.

We were promised that weapon skins would be delivered in a box that would allow us to choose the skin we wanted. This was, for players like me, the number one selling point of this update and the reason why I would run fractal dailies every day now instead of farming dungeons.

I have double checked the patch notes and preview page for this release and can find no mention of Fractal skins being contained in chests, the chat code for this item was data mined and posted to Reddit, can you confirm where this was announced?

This is something I can support, at the moment it is painful to take a class you haven’t had much hands on time with into team queue.

Would you keep rank acquisition the same as it is now? Yes, at times it seems a little slow but you remind yourself that the journey to the top is more of a marathon. Suggestions: Account wide rank point bonus linked to achi’s.
Convert glory boosters to rank boosters.
sPvP weekend, +25% bonus rank from all games played.

If not, what would you do to improve rank acquisition?
Thinking about this over the last few days I wouldn’t want to change it, I see rank/finishers as the long-term goals for sPvP, with cosmetics being short term and champion titles as an intermediate goal.

Currently one of the most underwhelming rewards within PvP is the daily & monthly system, with only four tracks to progress in each category it lacks the variety we currently see in the PvE counterparts. In the recent blog post it references changes to the daily category, this something you should extend to the monthly in time.

Suggestions for monthly: Kills, Captures, Defence, Revives, change monthly wins to games played.

Firstly this needs addressing sooner rather than later.

Additionally, what can we expect to happen to Glory boosters (including active buffs on characters).

I am fine with the retirement of Glory as a currency as it is mostly worthless in its current form, however losing earned ranks is of greater concern as it represents a life long time investment into this game mode. I understand the need to revamp the rewards to attract new and older players back into the game mode but why does it need to be at the expense of veteran’s progression?

At present the increase is only active while in combat, the December 10th patch should see this bonus apply out of combat and also move it to the Arcane adept tier (swappable with blasting staff).

Allow the changing of underwater skills without travelling to that one section at the back of the mists (My level 2 Necro failed when I hotjoined Raid on Capricorn for the first time after many tournament games).

Ensure players are transported back to their original location when ‘timing out’ after a tournament game, currently you are placed in the mists unless you click the exit door before the post match beat down ends. (Can most likely then open the pvp menu and click ‘Leave the Mists’)

Allowing 1 handed weapons to stack to ‘2’ is a great suggestion.

Most importantly, add more rocks for me and my guild to stand on and snarl at people approaching in the lobby.

New player, which server to pick?

It would help if you include what region you are looking to play in, Na or Eu.

If you are an Eu player I would suggest Underworld, we recently lost a lot of large guilds from the World vs World side of the game and could use the help regaining our former seat of…mild power.

If you are an Na player I would recommend Underworld, we could always use some players to take keeps while we sleep!

On a more serious note you can ‘guest’ to any server for all aspects of the game except World vs World so I wouldn’t worry too much about which you pick.

Yes it is called Guild Wars… yet they do not allow guilds war on other guilds.

Mine point is the title means nothing.

Not so much.
The title ‘Guild Wars’ refers to the historical guild wars, but it does also draw attention to the heavy emphasis placed on guilds in both guild wars 1 and 2.

The mere fact you can do most of everything without a guild, would counter your argument (not to be rude or offensive, my brother). I do not agree with that the game places emphasis on Guilds, I do not agree a letter from Rox makes it any more relevant.

I am willing to hear an argument where a guild would benefit me in something I really need, but I think it would be difficult.

I believe FlamingFoxx was referring to lore perspective of the games name,
‘The Guild Wars are the three wars among different guilds in the three human kingdoms of Ascalon, Kryta, and Orr’.

Guilds within Guild Wars serve as communities within communities much as guilds within other games do, aside from guild missions, buffs and having regular players to party up with you can play most of the game without a guild.

Will Dec 10 patch actually help us in SPvP?

To be honest, the most likely outcome is that this won’t change anything at all. None of the changes are big enough to ruin existing builds or make any new ones viable. Diamond Skin is just too situational to be relevant – in most cases it will do nothing, in some it will be slightly useful, and very rarely it will be a significant advantage. Choosing a trait that is only useful a small percentage of the time is a recipe for disaster. Frankly, the Burning Fire change is more interesting as an anti-condi trait, it has good strength against condition openings and only requires 20 points. It’s still not good enough to be the reason to spec into Fire, and sadly the rest of the traits are still awful for everything except for a Conjure build.

So really, the only thing that’s going to impact our place in the meta is the changes to the other classes. We’re going to have to wait at least one, and probably closer to 3, balance patches after this one before they sufficiently build off of the changes they started here.

I would have to agree with this in its entirety. The changes amount to too little in the face of other class changes. I will most likely still be running cantrips or a different profession altogether for a few months.

-Elementalists, this is just sad… this class is probably the most active in this game, utilising almost every skill in every attunment, this class’s performance is most likely the worse and the risk/reward is just terrible. I believe it’s performance is worse than the old warrior.

Great suggestion, this would allow us to convert the skins for storage and/or potentially salvage any excess skins for PvP materials. That is unless the new skin boxes stack/have a vendor price.

It is recommended that you begin with 5 v 5 hot join for the first 10-20 ranks, this will give you space to try different builds and classes and learn some of the little tricks that people employ on a per map/class basis.

I personally would also jump into solo queue now and then if you feel you are playing well as the MMR (Match making rating) should eventually balance you into a position where you play against equally skilled opponents, if anyone attempts to verbally abuse you for doing so just inform them where the team queue button is and report/block them.
