I’m not very easily annoyed but here’s a few things that grind my gears when I have to pug:
1. People that cannot break free from their usual pug tactics whenever presented with a superior approach to a fight/phase of a dungeon and are just stubborn;
It’s actually people who want to force advanced tactics on the group during PUGs who annoy me. The group often isn’t properly equipped, skilled enough or even interested, and it usually ends up taking more time than it’s worth.
Calling such tactics superior implies they’re more efficient and easier to apply than the ones the pugs usually use. Running with pugs is all about simplicity, the simpler you can make it for them and spoon feed them the way with the less margin for error, the better. Therefore I would not suggest anything unless it was beneficial for the group.
Quick example would be AC p3’s final boss, most pugs pull it to one side or another of a pillar which usually takes considerable time for the boss to get to it and the NPCs tend to draw it’s aggro before it reaches the desired spot costing your entire group precious time, you offer them a different spot to stack on and you’re almost immediately spammed with “No, no, no… This is the ONLY spot, always done it like this.”.
And that’s the sort of attitude that annoys me.
Rumblus is so easy to kill that stacking in that spot is more as likely to get you down’d as not. I can’t even be bothered doing that any more. Grast aggros the boss anyway and since he’s a lot tougher now and pops his shield more regularly there’s actually no reason to stack there any more. If I host AC P3, I just wait till Grast aggros then charge in after him.
AC P1 is much the same. As soon as everyone is in the boss room and the King is at the far end, it’s aggro time. You can burn him down so quickly.
I’m not even certain why he was buffed to begin with, it was a perfectly fine boss event until he got the god overbuff. Now hes pretty much pointless to try and kill, and more and more people are resolving to not even attempt the event anymore. Somehow I don’t think that’s what you guys had in mind when you have him that overbuff. He does massive damage (which is alright) but takes pretty much no damage from anything. The damage this guy takes needs to be increased by a substantial amount.
Nerf? Says who? The casuals? Lol!
It’s those who don’t know how to read a guide, organise the map, and focus the pugs that want it to nerf. Quite frankly, I should be surprised that EVERY spawn hasn’t got a few coordinated, even through map chat, runs at it, but then…megaservers and pugs…
I seem to be missing something here…
I did Arah once or twice in the dim past. This was before the advent of solo runs, or around about the time that solo runs were being hinted at being possible (when dungeons were sort of interesting and challenging) We got to Lupi and none of us had any idea what to do about him, so read a few guides about his attacks and made do as best as we could. After about the 9th wipe we kinda gave up, haven’t been back since.
Oh and having a charr, that means a LOT of grime sticking to his fur…
Fashionable Charr screen stolen off the internets:
It’s Hugh Heffner! Hugh Charrfner?
lol, what’s wrong with SW at Lupi? I’ve never brought my ele into Arah, but I’ve always fantasized about having SW during his p2 AoE…
Is it because the group is trying to reflect?
It might sound good and all, right? But if you use it on p2’s aoe lupi doesn’t phase switch and the group is screwed over – assuming the presence of guard, mes or ranger. Soooo… it depends. It depends on when you use it. It depends on the context. Everything is different if put into context.
In this case, I guess the mesmer messed up or something and they tried to blame the elly and the absence of SW. I assume.I had a pug in fracs trying to blame me because I didn’t use reflects at shaman 1st phase, since I was keeping them for the adds
He kept dying from the arrows. Didn’t dodge one. Still, I felt horrible. At least spoj got my back before I raged, gods bless him.
That’s the last time a pug dared to talk back. After that, no more bad experiences.
No pugs=better mental health
Any pug who doesn’t know that shields are only for adds phase in lava and blames the guard should be kicked. Any pug not dodging any of the arrows when he has such an obvious telegraph should be kicked without mercy.
One test I like to pull on groups I host in fractals is just rolling with whatever the first one is. Repeatedly rolling swamp is so boring. That being said, virtually EVERY time and I mean EVERY time I’ve hosted Fractals since the update, the first has been swamp. I don’t care what I get and still it comes up swamp. STAHP WID DA SWAMP!
The other thing I do with dungeon runs I host is at certain points when the usual tactic is to stack, I just leroy in. My guildies follow and we just chop down the mobs. Did that in COE last night, and just as one of the other joiners (I won’t say PUGs since they were actually pretty good) said “not going to stack?” I threw my sword (being a warr) at the first ice elemental, my axe at a second and my guildie (another warr) threw his sword at the goliath. Other guildie said, “stacking is for kitten” then went bearbow for the lulz. If joiners can handle that and not leave then it’s time for some fun.
Even went and took down the champion abomination.
I think I’ll try a new hosting line on COE
“P1-3, will aggro everything”
Like has been said before, AP is never a good benchmark or indicator of skill. Hell, I’m approaching 9.5k and I still don’t have the confidence to take on Arah.
PUG rangers can be godawful but sometimes they can be absolutely godly.
I went and did COE I think it was with a PUG with 2! rangers. Now, many players would be “to hell with this I’m outta here”, but I’ve been wrong enough times that I generally keep an open mind. So away we went….and absolutely blitzed the dungeon. No downs, no defeats, no wipes. It was like watching synchronised swimming, it was so perfect.
On another note, one of my guild members is a godly ranger. She refuses to play the meta and plays it her style and our core fractals running guild group always includes her. She knows when a bow is sensible, when to melee, swaps weapons in and out of inventory as need be, blasts might and her pets have provided that meat shield at the right moment on too many occasions to count.
Anet really needs to rework that sword attack chain. It’s caused way too many deaths for it to be viable.
There aren’t many classes that can do that kind of damage apart from a thief and, if you’re -*really*_ unlucky or bad, a warrior rifle kill shot. In the early days of wvw, I downed 2 eles with kill shot in obsidian sanctum, admittedly from below so they couldn’t see my telegraph. Full adrenalin bar shot which crit’d, popped healing surge for another full adrenalin bar, moved around and took down the second with another crit kill shot. The third ele I didn’t see got me though
Seriously, this thread has gotten to that point in time which I stated 5 days ago. I’ll quote myself.
Can a moderator close this already? This is just going to end up being yet another
“I play this way in a group I form and I want like minded players only. You can play your way if you form your own group with no conditions attached”
sort of thread, which usually descends into the standard elitist vs. casuals, zerk vs non zerk arguments that happen every few days.
So I repeat, can a moderator close this now?
Durmand Priory mission
(This mission concept is designed more for those who enjoy puzzles, so there will be a some jumping and key puzzles.) To support the operations of the Vigil and Whispers, the Durmand Priory calls out to its members to find out more about the latest incursions. Members are to go to the Priory and accept the mission from a Magister.
Priory members will go to the same location as the other orders, but again will be at a different entry point to the other orders to avoid masses of players.
Parties are required to maneuver through the tunnels avoiding patrols and fighting as necessary. Retrieve keys parts and form keys to open gates or doors, to activate bridges or lower platforms to jump across. Information such as data terminals, plans from veteran/champion mobs, examination of lava pits with special scanners that will be provided upon accepting the mission, must be collected. There will be a “gauge of data” that needs to be filled to complete the mission, but rather than a single level, there will be differing levels depending on the number of players involved. This level should be designed so that it is doable with as few as 2 players. when the gauge fills, the party is ported out.
Upon completion of the mission, players are ported out and hand over the documents/scanner to a waiting NPC and obtain their reward. A bronze bonus chest is awarded for doing it with 4 party members, a silver for 3 and a gold for completion with only 2 party members. This missions is designed to appeal to players who like to solo or duo dungeons.
My ideas are meant to appeal to each sort of player who looks for a particular challenge. Some, like me, love a good stand up fight, while others enjoy sneaking around and others like solo or duo challenges.
Each mission will favour certain classes, Vigil will favour those with good survivability, support and damage, warriors, guardians, necros, rangers, engineers. Whispers will favour mesmers, thieves, rangers to an extent. Durmand priory missions would probably favour races over classes depending on how a jumping puzzle would be incorporated into the mission. Norn and Charr have a notoriously hard time on those.
The rewards are granted to all players regardless of which order they chose. However, there will be a bonus reward in the chests for players who do missions for their own order. Each order would have their own set of tokens, which are only rewarded to players if they are from that order. i.e. Vigil tokens for Vigil members and so on. These can be traded in, along with a lesser amount of gold, for the orders weapons and armour.
Given the nature of the new missions, new exotic level armour and weapons for each order needs to be introduced, which would also gel with the fact that after the fight with Zhaitan and then Scarlet, new weaponry needs to be developed for the upcoming fight with Mordremoth or whichever other dragon appears. Makes no sense that the three Orders only have rare weapons.
Order of Whispers mission
With the surge of Aetherblades/Flame Legion/Dredge/Molten alliance/Destroyers from the depths of Tyria, the Order of Whispers has to find out where they’re coming from and attempt to close the portal/gate/tunnel/breach before more flood out from the depths. Whispers couriers have been sent out to rendezvous with agents. (Basically, Whispers agents will get a mail telling them to go to a certain location where a courier will give them the mission, this can change, which will give the Order more of a sense of secrecy that they sorely lack).
Players who take on the mission form parties and go to the mission location. The mission will be less of a bash mission and more creeping around will be required. The zone will be the same as the one where the vigil soldiers are fighting but entry will be from a different direction so as to stop huge numbers of players gathering in one location. This mission will be more like Arah in that skipping through the various mobs is actually the point and a bonus reward will be granted for the least number of mobs killed. Whispers is, after all, a clandestine organisation. The aim of the mission will be to reach the centre of the assault where the portal/gate/tunnel is and close it down. But rather than a straight forward attack of the gate, the mission will depend on the type of entry point.
- Portals (Aetherblades): remove and destroy 5 crystals at various points around the cavern.
- Gates (Flame legion/Molten Alliance): Sabotage the gate by destroying gear mechanisms or stealing critical components.
- Tunnels (Dredge/Molten Alliance): Obtain explosives and blow up the tunnel so it collapses.
- Lava pits (Destroyers): Steal weapons from various kitten nals and bring down the ceiling onto the pits.
My mission idea is designed to appeal to those who like skipping and stealthy combat. Patrol pathing should be designed to make players think about their cool downs and not just spam stealth skills or teleport skills. For added challenge, certain zones will have stealth detectors which will reveal players if they get too close to them
Upon destruction of the breaches, the party is granted its reward and a bonus chest for the least number of mobs killed. A gold bonus chest is awarded for killing less than 5 mobs, a silver for 5-10 kills and a bronze for 10-20 kills. This mission prizes stealth above all else.
It’s similar to the Zaishen dailies that appeared in GW1. There were daily missions to take down a certain boss, wipe a map of all mobs, do a certain dungeon, that sort of thing. The rewards were so good that it was a gold mine for end gamers.
The idea has merit, but the tendency to zerg means you’ll just have zergs all over the place now.
If anything, there should be a rotation of 5 (possibly more) missions that are randomly handed out to players, something sufficiently challenging for parties but needs to be implemented in such a away as to discourage zerging.
Here’s my more general take on it
Vigil mission
There’s been a surprise attack by Aetherblades/Flame Legion/Dredge/Molten alliance/Destroyers in some underground region (preferably level 80 like Frostgorge, or some other high level area with underground zones) and the Vigil calls out to its members (see being part of an order makes sense now!) to respond. Barricades have been thrown up to hold back the enemy forces (thus acting as instance gates)
Players form parties and accept the mission from the Missions Warmaster at the Keep then go to the zone. There they will find 5 portal controllers that the party will need to activate together (much like the control panels in Crucible of Eternity to turn off the laser trap or the wisps in swamp fractal) to port past the barricade (i.e. entering the instance). This particular instance will support only 20 players at a time, i.e 4 parties who will have to hold off increasing numbers of waves that are breaching the cave walls. (kinda like a last stand survival mode). So in the first wave there will only be 1 breach then 2 in the second wave, 3 then 4 at which point it will cap and will basically force the parties to hold a breach each. With each successive wave, more and more veterans and champions spawn until the final assault by 4 legendary mobs. Defeating the 4 legendary mobs will bring a respite in the assault (i.e you win)
Upon completion of the challenge, you are granted your rewards with a gold bonus chest if no players are defeated, a silver if 10 players or more are defeated, a bronze if 15 or more are defeated then ported out. Multiple defeats by the same players count as extra ticks for the purposes of this bonus chest. This reward focuses on survivability and encourages players to decide what gear they need to take in. There will be no repair location as they will be fighting beyond the barricade with little access to rear line support
Having played GW1 and visited all those places, I quite like the fact that I’m on Gandara, the moon shaped fortress, where you had to go rescue a white clad Kormir, by smuggling in as guards, with a centaur prisoner, then start a fight, and chop your way out….
getting story yet?
you started playing and a timer kicked in, at 0 hrs the internet explodes
1. No real comment on that
2. best I’ve done was 3, but they weren’t cooperating and it was more like a chain of 1v1’s. I’m pretty rubbish t pvp so they were probably not paying attention.
If Anet add monk to gw2, will them be the type of class who fights with their hands? i mean, it would be awesome to see a monk fighing in… uhhh “monk style”… and with weapons, staves and fist weapons…
They woudnt add monks because that role has been split into individual healing (you know, skill slot 6?) and guardians. And because monks also relied on divine prayers? Who’d answer them now? Zhaitan?
uh, I think you’re not reading his post right. Pupi is referring to the Shaolin monk style of fighting, or perhaps Diablo 3’s style of monk, not a healing monk which was a more western style monk. Admittedly, that’s not necessarily unreasonable a thought given the opening of the game in to China. A return to Cantha could be in the future.
Oh and GW1 monks had access to Divine Favour not Prayers, a primary only trait that boosted the strength of their healing skills. The prayers were the skills: Healing, Protection and Smiting Prayers.
watching our commander say “FOLLOW ME!” then proceed to pick the wrong side of the cliff and sent the entire zerg to their deaths quickly followed by a “DON’T FOLLOW ME!”
Or it’s another nerf/buff that someone will inevitably create a thread to QQ about.
I totally do not understand the mentality that people have with not piping up about being a newbie to a dungeon. Do they really think that people will yell at them for being a noob? I’m pretty sure that veteran dungeon runners who host open groups will be more than happy to explain things but that generosity decreases exponentially as things get worse and the wipes more frequent
I’ve played my ranger for hours on end and usually stick to sword/x, which is often an axe since I’ve been too lax to get a warhorn, and LB or GS. I absolutely love the sword animations even if they are a pain in the butt because of the lockdown (and no I do not leave the auto attack on)
I think that the biggest problem that people have with rangers is they don’t like the fact that they require significantly more compromise than warrior or guardians. This can apply to thieves as well. You can balance out the gearing and traits of the heavies and still have excellent survivability and damage output. Rangers have a much steeper leaning on one or the other. With good survivability your damage output drops much more steeply than does a heavy. On the flipside, with higher damage output your damage resistance drops dramatically. I haven’t rekitted my ranger yet since the latest patch, but I’d been tinkering with a half knights half assassin’s armour with ranger runes and her damage output is really quite impressive, but I really have to be on my toes to minimise damage.
This is the nature of the class and that is how it should be. The heavies should be able to balance damage with survivability and this balance becomes more weighted at the extremes as you go down towards the light classes. (Although the necro is very weird in that it has probably the best survivability of all of the classes, despite being light)
People joining 40+ fractals without enough AR. Had a guardian join us in harpies and figured cool, he can shield us. Get to the boss and he goes down in 1 hit from a ball. Check his AP (which I normally don’t do but can give me an idea on whether to ask the next question) and ask “dude how much AR?” Response “What’s that?” Guildie links ascended trinkets, response “I’d be lucky if I have any of those”…..
Idiot rangers that just cycle through their long bow attacks on CD. There’s a bloody reason why the mob is all stacked up Y U POINT BLANK SHOOT HIM OUT OF THE stack?! Has happened on the harpies golem fight too many times…
Guardians that don’t know to take shields. I, as a warrior, had to tutor the guardian on what skills to take in lava fractal and when to pop them. This was after 3 wipes. I don’t even play my guardian.
Full zerk warriors who don’t know how to dodge.
Lack of communication in party chat. BIGGEST. PEEVE. EVER
he needs a special title, master marksman, just for that. Oh and Anet should award him a legendary
Thoughts for a season 3? How about not having a season three?
For me the decline started with the tournament. I burned out after 2 weeks and every time I looked at the wvw panel, I just couldn’t get motivated to join in. The queues didn’t help. The lagfest in blob fights didn’t help. The repetitive nature of blobwipes didn’t help. The fact that take and hold was overshadowed by PPT didn’t help. WvW had an enormous amount of potential but sadly it’s just degenerated into farming mobs moving from point to point and lagfesting each other to victory. Strategy is virtually non existent, tactics are limited to how tightly a commander can hold the zerg despite the lag and how quickly they can split the enemy zerg.
The fact that you’re posting a suggestion on individual performance tracking in WvW with an account named katniss is not lost on me
That’s like staring into the Eye of Sauron
Rather than making it yet another grind, which the Pristine Relics idea would make it, just up the drop rate slightly and make it a fractals weapon skin box.
I’ve gotten the longbow, sceptre, focus and harpoon skins which is fine since I can make use of them all (although the focus dropped as a item with no stats, which was weird) being rewarded with the skin of your choice would put those skin rewards in line with the ascended drops that you can get.
I don’t think there are level requirements per se. Since Exotics are only available at 70+ you can put those in with other Exotics of the same or higher level and have a good chance at getting back a higher level or unique exotic.
There may be level brackets, by which I mean you have to put items within the same level range, 70-80, or 60-70, but I haven’t tested that so don’t quote me on it.
To be honest, if those exotics have half decent runes or sigils it would be better to try and salvage those out (good luck with that) and TP those. Often you’ll make your gold back on those rather than on the whole item itself.
please give us examples of bosses that don’t use their mechanics if a party is stacked. I always see people say this yet they never give examples.
But pretty much everything in AC comes to mind offhand.
Since I don’t really do Arah I’ll only respond to this one.
AC P1: I’d really like to see a party stack Howling King and not get wiped. You’ve basically put the entire party into his optimal attack position. That’s not counting the adds that you have to kite in to the AOEs. The only trick to this wipe is start him at the far end of the room and melee him from all directions then dodge when he fires. Then it’s a face roll
AC P2: The only difficulty in this path is getting a party who know how to handle the traps and guns. If a player can’t dodge his rolling attack, which is his only attack, that player fails.
AC P3: The stack position in this path is just an exploit in the way the ceiling collapse works. Even if that were patched, keeping Rumblus close in so that Grast stays with you so he pops his shield all the time makes this a face roll.
Next?
Personally, I like neither of them as they don’t appeal to me aesthetically. That being said, I did see someone who put together a really awesome outfit that made their character look like Master Chief
I think this has wandered off from the original post, which is not solely about the gearing itself. The fundamental problem is not just an AI issue but also a mob issue.
Many veteran players of GW1, including myself, will remember how the mobs were built in those games. You never came across mobs that would stupidly mob you. Single class mobs were also a relatively rare occurrence. They also had, compared to GW2, smarter AI so that they wouldn’t just all rush into melee with you. Some truly mixed mobs would contain melee, healers, other support casters and they would spread out in such a way that cleaving them down was impossible. This leads to the point that GW1 relegated AOE melee attacks to certain skills. So veteran warriors may remember Cyclone Axe and Triple Chop being an AOE attack but the basic axe attack was single target only. Sword attacks did not have cleave at all.
The AI also was smart enough that the mobs would not stay in mass AOE for that long and would withdraw and spread out after a certain number of ticks. This led to players having to combine professions and skills to snare mobs, after they had been aggroed, such that AOE and DoT spells would have better effects on the targets.
So, basically, the zerk meta by itself is a reflection on the comparatively dumber AI and combat mechanics of the game. This shouldn’t be about penalising zerkers or buffing everything else (that just leads to power creep). What should be the driving force of meta change is a massive improvement in AI and mob composition.
A couple of things that could start that change is
1. Cleave targets reduced to 2.
2. Mix up the composition of mobs to have difference “classes”. An obvious example are all the Moa flocks that run around. Invariably, Pink Moas will all have dazing screech, but why not include other moas? Ones that give fury, fear, etc. Also, to that extent, mobs should also have access (if it makes sense for them to do so) to have more defensive skills.
3. Improve the skill composition of mobs. Because of the limitations of single type mobs, they will all have the same set of skills. Also, because of the game design they will most likely only have a rotation of 4 skills all of which will have a cool down that will be longer than the fight will last. With the improvement in point 2, there will be an improvement in how mobs synergise their skillsets. If players can synergise their skill sets, why shouldn’t mobs?
4. Another change that should be made is certain mobs should have cleaving attacks. Many players hate dredge simply because of their wide variety of classes in a given mob, which tends to the large side. This means that it takes time to burn them down and requires target prioritisation. Rather than nerfing dredge, other mobs should be improved to similar standards so that rather than blitzing through every area, players have to think about what their party needs to bring for the encounter. The balance between this and an simply unnecessarily drawn out fight is very delicate. Being a lone adventurer aggroing a cave full of bears should result in a life threatening fight, while a whole party of adventurers should be reasonably challenged and not cake walk it as it is today.
5. Correct the mobbing and line of sight issues the lead to stacking being prevalent. Stacking takes advantage of the flaw in the AI pathing to maximise damage. This is the nature of the game but it shouldn’t be. Mob AI should be improved so that if the players are in very close proximity, their attacks (particularly if mobs have a mix of classes from point 3) should start with AOE’s or snares. Or at the very least should be mixed up enough to not be predictable. This needs a delicate balance. The fights need to be challenging without simply being drawn out.
5. This is one of the biggest gripes that most players will have. Boss fights. Bosses in general, but particularly world bosses, need to have enough mechanics in it such that simply zerging and pressing 1 is not viable. However, that’s for another ramble for another day
and will they retrospectively award everyone who has already made 500+ levels on top of 80 to insta-81? Because my warrior would be level 600 by now
Sadly, no. For some strange reason, they’re only classed under undead rather than both, which would have made life a lot easier. As opposed to the only 3 giants that spawn in the whole game
Depends on what you put in.
1. 4 blues → 1 Blue with a chance of a green
2. 4 greens → 1 green with a chance of a rare
3. 4 rares → 1 rare with a chance of an exotic
4. 4 exotics → 1 exotic with a chance of a precursor
Each of the items needs to be of the same type, by which I mean, you need to use 4 armours or 4 weapons (these are not the only combinations, but I’m keeping simple and assuming that this is what you are asking)
However, you can make specific types of equipment by putting in 4 of the same type. The above example will give you a random item.
4 blue random weapons/armours → 1 blue random armour/weapon with a chance of a random green armour/weapon
But you can put in 4 of 1 type. For example
4 blue axes → 1 blue axe with a chance of 1 green axe
This scales up using the first system I posted.
Also, for the random combination you can replace 1 of the items with a Mystic forge stone.
1. Make your group in LFG with specific requirements so that anyone joining knows what to expect. e.g P# exp ZERK only, ping gear. If a joiner doesn’t follow these simple instructions then you’re well within your rights as the run host to boot them. On the other hand, if you just post LFG P# ZERK and someone joins and you ask ping gear then kick if they don’t, this is unreasonable, because your LFG was unspecific.
2. If you don’t post requirements in LFG then bloody well don’t ask for people to ping gear. It’s your own stupid fault for not being specific. If you do this and kick someone, then you’re just being a kitten.
One simple rule to …well…rule them all
1. Be specific in your expectations.
It’s not about elitism or noobism. Follow this 1 simple rule and all these add ons and what not become unnecessary

A ranger is underrated in dungeons. Went and did all 3 AC paths last night with 2 rangers, a necro and a mesmer (I went warrior)
AC 1: Tore down the Howling King before the adds even spawned
AC 2: Took out the Ghost eater in the first trap
AC 3: Killed Rumblus before he called down his first ceiling collapse
Basically it’s all about everyone knowing what they’re doing. Party composition isn’t quite as important as some ppl make out
no, because minions and companions aren’t the same category
One does not simply meta fractals
The necro is strong with this one
I had one from bday or something like this.
Is it better tu fuse rares or salvage em? Im quite lucky and with mf(crafted) salvage kit get almost always 2 ectoplasmas which will be used to craft something for big income or nice skin.
I was thinking about upgrading my pvt build, which set prefix you suggest(heavy armor) and runes? I run 5 privater and 1 traveler since 6th bonus from other one is useless.
Which laures ascended accesorry would be good for me? Standard pvt or something else?
And is it worth buying t6 mats from laures metchant?
Personally, I always salvage my rares, except for axes now since I’m throwing them into the Mystic Forge with other rare axes to see if I get lucky and I flush out the precursor for Frostfang. Everything else I salvage.
It’s probably worth saving your PVT gear and creating a new set. Most people will say go with Zerk gear with Scholar or Strength runes (both very pricey), but really it’s entirely up to you. I have 3 sets of armour on my warrior.
1. PVT with Trooper rune set from my early days which is still quite handy when I need to pop lots of shout cleanses. I rarely use this set unless I’m stuck with pugs in a condition heavy instance. (Mai Trin I’m looking at you)
2. Zerk set with Scholar runes for general dungeon speed running
3. Mixed Knights/PVT/Zerk set with Strength runes for fractals
Hmmm, laurels accessory is a hard question. Again, most people would say zerk and tbh I have a zerk accessories and rings but a PVT amulet. If you got a full set of zerk accessories you can play around with your armour set with a bit more flexibility.
I don’t find it particularly good to buy t6 mats for accessories unless you’re very close to finishing a Gift for a legendary. Laurels are too useful for getting ascended items to just be burned on materials.
WvW needs sappers. Something like a deployed food which has limited charges. Players run up, grab a charge then have to get to the wall, boom. Something along the lines of 50 charges to take down a non-upgraded wall and 25 to blow a gate. The low cost is offset by the high risk of running up to a defended tower/keep/garrison and planting charges under fire. A 2.5 – 3s cast time to basically allow for planting the charge and rigging the fuse.
In an age where technology already covers explosives, why are rams still used on gates?
I wish hendo could answer you… but apparently answering someone’s question “Is this a troll post?” with “This is a troll post.” is rude, inflammatory and disrespectful.
Consider yourself infracted

Try changing your Windows keyboard setting. For most english speaking nations it will be the little EN that sits in your Windows taskbar. America layouts are different to UK layouts which are different again to Australian or other EU layouts so there’s going to be a lot of trial and error involved
How do you know that I’m not just a second account?

I’m pretty sure it’s a bug. SkyFierce says he was at the Bear shrine where there’s a heart. Sons of Svanir will spawn as part of an event where you have to protect the bear cubs and that should be a lvl 3 or at most 5 event not 9.
