Instant cast skull crack is cancer, but overcharged shot, slick shoes, d/d ele, and Judge + Ward isn’t according to ANET.
I will still say that other Warrior builds can work, it’s just that the incompetent/lack of balancing principles makes it annoying and discouraging to play high skill cap builds such as chain CC frenzy without using something that synergies with it well.

Like some crazy Warrior builds work to an extent. It’s just that you need to play with people who like making crazy team comps to make the most out of them. It’s really the same way to make power necro work tbh.

It’s called L2 abuse z-axis teleport, l2 Line of Sight. Slick Shoes, Blind Spam, Weakness, Aegis, Jumping Puzzle.
It’s really pathetic that people can’t even L2P against something that is legit L2P.
If you want to complain about something, complain about frame-eaters like Slick Shoes or D/D Ele. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken.
Oh and it’s not like Rampage and Lich Form is instant cast, interrupt them before they use it? Or make it so that they don’t wanna use it? Not to mention when they DO get into Rampage and Lich form, you can literally just tank them if you were good, which you aren’t.

You CANNOT give Warrior instant-cast CC maneuvers like Guardian Judge > Ring for example. It will be broken and cancer.

What really needs to happen is.. more harsh incentives. Like Signet of Might for example should allow you to ignore protection AND make your attacks unblockable but make it a 60 second cool down. Why is this balanced? Because you will probably sacrifice a defensive cool down for it and in turn, be an easier kill even though you will have an easier time killing.
Signet of Fury should make it so that when you disable a foe, they cannot use a stun break for the next 3 seconds but I don’t think they have the technology for this one.
I’m saying, when you buff something, you need to consider opportunity costs and everything.
I’m perfectly fine with DPS Warrior right now, it’s just that people don’t ever wanna make comps because people don’t ever wanna multi-class in sPvP tbh.

Too many key presses doesn’t mean it’s the hardest thing in the world. You have to look at it in practice and in result.
Take D/D Ele for example, they have 10 million evades via perma-vigor, burning speed, updraft. They are so tanky because they have weakness, earth 2, high protection uptime, and has easy escapes and has access to z-axis teleport.
There is absolutely no trade-off to playing D/D Ele even though they “require” you to press many buttons. And because “they don’t have many trade-offs,” D/D Ele fits in the easy and effective category and is just cancer because it forces the enemy to make harsh choices in rotations.
The root of the problem is “easy and effective.”

Shoutbow will become legit broken with Brawler’s recovery and traited EP.
DPS Warrior on the other hand? It’s getting buffed but it will either be hit or miss depending on how they execute this power creep.
I’m hoping the Warrior elite spec won’t screw over balancing and revive the fun that I had back in the days where Quickness was 100% attack speed increase.

The thing about power builds right now is.. its just so much RNG now. At least the Quickness Meta required you to HIT your important things, but now its a matter of proc’ing fire/air. It’s literally hearthstone 2.0, specially on match ups much like Guardian vs. Guardian for example.
not really, sigil proc is 50% on crit, crit is usually over 50% in those builds, that’s 25%+ on hit… and those builds also tend to use some very fast attacks like ele scepter air autoattack or ranger rapid fire etc… so it’s usually more than 1 attack per second… so the average time to proc can be something around 2 sec max? usually less… it doesn’t seems too RNG, it’s guaranteed hit after 0-2 sec
but I agree, two sigils with the same type are a bit OP, this air+fire combo is so strong…
I guess I did base the RNG problem opinion on a 1v1 setting on certain match ups. This shouldn’t be a real problem in team fights. But point is “power damage” definitely took skill during the Quickness meta. GW2 became a lot less skill based is what I’m also trying to say be it in “landing damage” or having “too many screw up buttons.”

The stun break portion of slick shoes should be on the oil slick utility itself, not on the tool belt. The reset stun break is just absolute BS and the low 23 sec cool down on super speed is just face-roll easy mode when you combine it with the 16 second gear shield and jumping puzzle in sPvP. It’s either 45 second stun break or keep having a broken game.
D/d Ele needs to stop having perma-vigor and high protection uptime.
In the next patch? Shake-it-off probably shouldn’t even be a stun break anymore either.

Warrior was specifically designed to be easy to play so no. If people want a high complexity high difficulty character to play they can roll mesmer.
As per the official blog post “mesmer was meant to be a high skill ceiling class in Gw1, we are trying to return to that.”
Easy to play? Okay try to land 1/2 second casting time through evades then, then call it easy. Don’t know why have an opinion when its just unintelligent and ignorant much like the guy stating his low IQ.
Just because “Mesmer” isn’t effective atm, that doesn’t mean Warrior is braindead easy as a whole.

Once again, try landing 1/2 casting time stuns through evades or stun lock DPS people by baiting cool downs by yourself on zerker Warrior. The build is Axe/Hammer or Axe/Mace Mace/Shield with Frenzy. No Meta, Great, or good warrior build can exist without cleansing Ire. If you think I’m wrong, put up a spvp video where you win tons of matches without it. If you can’t make videos or can make videos, submit the build to metabattle.com to have it peer reviewed and watch it become meta. It is just impossible for warriors to be viable without cleansing ire.

Need more videos? Look for more on my stream on my highlights. It’s not “impossible” it just takes actual skill to play without it. But I guess low skill players will have to have Cleansing Ire where-as better Warriors such as Tarcis can definitely make non-Cleansing Ire builds work.
P.S Also winning a “match” in solo que is subjective. I would focus on mechanics and application if I were you, but you’re kind of simple minded I think so I’ll probably leave it at that.

You do realize that you can only have 3 specializations / trait lines right?
It’s either Strength Arms Defense OR Strength Defense Discipline. Arms Defense Discipline is probably okay but I’m not going to pick that over STR DEF DISC.

It isn’t top tier at all because it’s easy to chain CC a turret engi to death. But it does not change the fact that it’s braindead and takes no skill.
Kinda like how Guardian “wasn’t” meta and Ranger isn’t meta but both of those classes still take absolutely no skill no matter how you build them. Get rid of Turrets? There’s still Medi Guard and Long Bow Ranger.

I’m just hoping they don’t buff DPS Warrior in a braindead way. Cause most people ITT are literally clueless on why it shouldn’t be “up to par” easy mode as other zerkers such as Guard.
Mace will need some love for sure such as better adrenaline gain, like I would say return 6 adrenaline even if you don’t channel the whole counter blow. That would be so much helpful. And buffing healing surge would be great too considering they gutted that heal after the adrenaline nerf very incompetently.
Now THAT is how something should be “buffed.”

Nothing is also more braindead than d/d ele and cele engi. Shoutbow is only 5% harder than those two specs because it can’t handle chain CC gank.
Cele engi? You don’t need to land grenades from max range anymore, all you do is hard bait dodges and then you CC chain people to death with your instant cast overcharge and frame-eater slick shoes which can’t be evaded, blocked AND eats through stability stacks. And if you get focused? Just use slick shoes stun break jumping puzzle every 23 seconds, get vampirism runes and 16 second gear shield, gg.
D/D Ele? Getting focus fired? Just spam mobility, heals, stun breaks and z-axis teleports and call it skill. In a 1v1 against someone? Just spam protection fire breath ice breath and block projectiles with earth attune #2. Like even S/F ele is braindead now that they buffed z-axis.
Panic strike is more balanced than any of those because at least Thief as a class just takes more skill than any meta crap that Ele or Engi has. Thief at least dies to random cleave and can’t have perma-vigor or protection up-time.

Tornado on Engi isn’t bad because you can chain an overcharged shot after it. And it eats through blocks too and peels for your team mates. You can also tornado res or stomp if you spam F while you cast elixir X.
