Fate is just the weight of circumstances
That’s the way that lady luck dances
No motherboard that supports an i5 would not be fully 64bit (and thus more than +4GB) capable…..
Look Up " WTF?? No Trinity?" On youtube. It describes the " Trinity" in Gw2. BY Gw2.
Searched this and only found videos by Woodenpotatoes. Not saying they are bad, but in no way are they valid promises by a GW2 employee. Again, post a link and I’ll buy your basket of “ANET BREAKS WORD!!!!!”, goods….other than that, you are just spreading FUD as a disgruntled player.
Your claim that a fan made video constitutes a broken promise by Anet employees is laughable. Seriously, quit making wild claims about what players were “promised” (or more specifically, what you seem to think YOU were promised).

some players
wealready pay arenanet to do this things
Fixed this. Original purchase does not pay for new content in any way. Buy gems or quit complaining (not directed at above poster).
I’m more interested in how any 3rd party development effort could ever actually effect the game in any technical way…? This is like asking for a Kickstarter campaign to develop a new Navy fighter for aircraft carriers…..no matter how good the vehicle is, you have a few hurtles to clear before you make yourself “Top Gun” (I now hear Kenny Logins in my head….STOP!!).
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
Yes. The only spec that is viable in this game is pure DPS.
Said the
PvEDungeon player.
Fixed above…..and it is possible that was sarcasm (that doesn’t translate well in type).
But yeah I agree with this – no big deal either way.
I don’t disagree from a functional / vanity perspective, but how would you feel about them if they put a dozen eye-candy mounts in the game rather than build a potential expansion pack?
Resources are limited…everything Anet puts in the game takes away SOME other aspect that could have been improved, fixed or added….THAT’s why I am so anti-mount.
The only way to fix bugged events is to re-spawn the zone….which means all players must leave the zone. Are you sure you are in the same zone every time you are seeing it bugged or is it getting bugged in multiple zones (likely due to players exploiting / farming the event)?
Care to elaborate (or provide a link) to what “inventories are shrinking” actually means?
Bugged events are not new in all areas of the game and part of the reason they get bugged is when players exploit them for hours on end (don’t know if the bugging is intentional on Anet’s part or just the “not normal” interaction breaks them).
I believe that the only way to fix bugged events like that is to re-spawn the entire zone (and evidence I have observed indicates that Megaserver attempts to do this on a somewhat regular basis).
Settle down everyone….report this as an in-game bug and it will eventually be fixed (but don’t expect some immediate hotfix). I seem to recall Southsun had a similar issue for months (and there was stink about it being classified in Kryta, when they did fix it).
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Brother Grimm.5176
Temp solution seems to be log in with that character GUESTING to another server….may take a few tries but seems to clear up the problem of being locked out of logging in.
Just a note that odd hacks CAN happen. My account was compromised for 2 weeks without my knowledge (taking a break from the game) and absolutely NOTHING as taken (I had about 120g in my personal guild bank and plenty of materials in storage, but nothing else of much value). Support reported that my account was accessed for about 2 minutes and never again….
The compromise was due to some horrible password habits on an old email account I have had for years (that I no longer use). Needless to say, I did a HUGE assessment of all my internet security and performed a lot of changes on lots of websites….
BTW, if you just get a decent guess of a character name (and it’s RACE / PROFESSION) Support will know you are likely the original owner of the account. In general, they do not require the Serial Code if some decently close information on the account is provided. To be honest, the BEST information is some financial information about the original purchase….
It’s to access your home instance gathering Nodes, silly….Merchs are available via other means (for NO cost).
Not sure what version of the game you have, but the upgrade to the Hero’s edition makes key runs a cake walk…..(if you are interested in investing time to earn BL keys….I would never suggest actually buying them).
Is not like it’s difficult to get a few levels when you first start the character. I’m usually pretty close to level 5 by the end of key farm runs.
All the arguments for “it’s not really that bad….”, are ignored by those that just want to complain and act like a Martyr when something they “exploited” gets altered in any way.
Actually, since Cooking and Jeweler do not allow 500 (and ALL the crafts XP was re-scaled….even those 2), you CAN’T get to 80 with just crafting. 74 is current max obtainable via crafting.
Not possible at this time. Buy new siglis / runes and be aware of this next time you go to outfit a toon with Karma or Badge gear.
Wow…some really “questionable” get rich quick schemes in this thread…..
My 2 coppers….DO NOT turn your Laurels into gold….there are plenty of things you will be wanting that REQUIRE them to obtain. I guess once you obtain all those things, selling your Laurels is ok, but not for a new player.
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
There are champs the DO NOT EVER drop anything.
Bad design!!!!!Example?
The Champs that get spawned when the Tequatl mobs upscale never seem to drop any loot.
Bad Example!!!!!
How so? A person said they got no loot from champs. There are champs that drop no loot. If that person isn’t more specific about what they are doing when they get no loot, how is that a bad example?
Those Champs are not SUPPOSE to drop loot and everyone that does events that spawn additional champs knows this. You are pointing out the ONE exception to the rule as a blanket complaint. But we both knew that as soon as you posted your complaint, didn’t we.
These days I sometimes see those tunnel dwelling trains in Orr that kill spiders on the first part – fail event second part – repeat… I don’t get what’s the fun in all this?
It’s never about fun. It’s about loot. Followed by complaints that you have to grind to get anything decent.
i.e. Delusions of Grindure…..
Do those spiders drop Blood? If not, why are they not grinding Risen (that can at least drop Moldy Bags that might contain Blood)? Guess I’m missing something.

and on Mesmer, its outright terrible, if there was any other one-handed power weapon, I would use it.
Proof one should take all advice on these forums with a grain of salt….what you said is 180 of the actual truth….Sword is hands down the best MH weapon a Mesmer has.
Sword on a non-condition damage Warrior is a horrible choice.
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
Unfortunately, leveling a Mesmer to 80 (especially solo) is going to likely be slower than most other classes (and potentially frustrating because of that). Your DPS output is just not that great until you get some of the top tier traits (at 80).
One option (if you just want to get to 80 quickly) is finding a decent commander in EotM and following the Zerg for a few hours each day. You will be 80 in no time (use boosters to get the most out of this as you will be gaining tons of loot, XP and Karma).
If you want to actually experience the game will going up to 80 (my preference), then clear maps and do your personal story. Note that while clearing maps (especially if you have some decent XP boosts), go to out of the way places (edges of maps) and kill the Yellow creatures…..they can give TONS of XP (if they haven’t been killed in a while).
I’m sure there is some hard cap number, but I’m betting only an Anet coder has that knowledge. I’d be interested in seeing anyone with 5 digit amount. I’m going to go out on a limb and say it’s likely 64k (16 bits).
Skill points to gold usually involve Mystic Forge recipes. Promotion of materials and forging of Exotic items for sale on the TP. Google it and you can find some info (be careful as it might be out of date….material promotion requires savvy and up to date market knowledge to actually make money).
I think it still bugs on some maps, so try loading into the zone a few times (might want to make sure you in a different map by using /IP in chat). One easy (and cheap) way to do this is exit to EotM (or WvW Borderland) and then use the EXIT WvW button on the WvW menu (bottom right of main page).
Also, you might find better suggestions and info on this over at the Living Story forum.
Well I’m not doing any dungeons actually
Then there is no right answer here…..it’s all about what you “like” and how you want to play the game.
As I state in every one of these “which one?” threads, you can play BOTH!
First come, first serve. Period.
….
No I Just want the trinity Anet promised.
….I don’t recall this “promise”….please provide references.
As mentioned above, EVERY player is the source of Damage, Healing & Support/Control.
The only “enforced meta” is in Dungeon speed runs or Fractals. That is a small segment of the game so either learn to cope with the community “issues” or play another aspect of the game.
The argument that mounts aren’t “needed” is so pathetic and stupid. Mini-pets aren’t needed better remove them! Please remove transmutation it’s not needed everybody should just look the same. So many things in this game aren’t “needed”. Atleast try to make a decent argument or don’t even bother. And the fact that you are so adamantly against mounts using such a dumb argument just makes you look more ignorant.
Mini-pets are ALREADY in the game….mounts are not. It’s not a dumb argument, it’s a logical statement that resources used to put a not needed item into the game could be better used elsewhere. You are making it SOUND dumb (by ignoring facts) just to further your “I WANT MOUNTS!” campaign…..
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
Yes other games do it and this one ONLY does it in a very limited scope (Dungeons / Fractals, etc.). If you are here to try and stir up some sympathy for Dungeon runners being mean to you, not gonna happen.
There’s a reason the existing “liaison” doesn’t post here…..
Nobody wants to be the token “dead horse” target….good luck filling that job.
Can’t say I’ve ever heard this in GW2 anywhere in the Open World (don’t know about Dungeons….SoF maybe?). I seriously don’t recall hearing any of that in GW1 either (I frequented Grenth’s Footprint a good bit). I did NOT do a lot of the GW Beyond so if it got added then, that might be why I don’t recall it.
Might want to post this in the Lore sub-forum as you might get better results than here (the general whine & cheese forum).
…..
No it doesn’t. OP is asking for a new Legendary. You’re suggesting his/her desire for a new Legendary can be fulfilled by using something that isn’t a Legendary. How is that a solution to OP’s problem?
My suggestion was a DOABLE solution….transmute one of the more acceptable rifle skins for an Engineer ONTO the Preditor. Anet is NOT going to do another single Legendary weapon (they MAY do an entire series of them at some point, but no way are they going to make ONE….and certainly not for a weapon that is usable by 2 classes).
Quite frankly, the OP doesn’t have a “problem”, but a “want”……there’s a difference.
You can play BOTH….. I have a LVL 80 of each class. It’s not an EITHER/OR selection process.
….
BLC drop rates are pathetic….
Ticket Scraps are a 1 in 5 chance….I opened 10 chests last night and got 3 scraps (above average, but far from “pathetic”).
….
(like real-life gambling)….
This just begs for a “Captain Obvious” joke….
……
They arent selling anything cheap to a lot of people. It costs 2-3 times as much
….or nothing but players time (what Anet wants anyway) if they obtain BL keys by other means.
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
…..
Make bank from everyone buying keys in a futile attempt to try and win the permanent hair tonic.
It’s absolutely brilliant…..
Follow it up with a “lesser” desired item chance to drop and do a BL key sale…..*CHA CHING!"
I’m not sure “afraid to make a change” is the right phrasing. I think they realize how unfair it would be to those that have already paid the higher price to now lower it for future crafters. I have not even considered Ascended armor yet, so I have no horse in the race, but I can see that it needs to be changed, but would be unfair to do so now.

Just to relate my take on this (personal experience): Prior to MegaServer, I would likely spend a good portion of my time playing in Frostgorge harvesting nodes with 6 to 8 characters on a semi-daily basis. Mostly running routes for the “mapped out” T6 nodes. I gathered a rather healthy stockpile of T5 and T6 metal and wood during that time. I thing I sold some T5 stacks (very few) but I have always just horded the T6 materials. That daily farming of nodes ended with MegaServer.
While I do go to all the T6 generating areas on a regular basis. The fact that I have to roam these areas (or deal with spotty Map chat) to find the T6 nodes now and can’t locate the nodes and then use other characters to reliably gather from those same nodes, means I don’t do it as regularly as I used to. To be honest, this is a good thing in terms of my playtime as I now do other things I enjoy more, but my supply of T6 mats IS starting to run dry and I have started to promote the surplus of T5 mats I also stockpiled (and still gather on a regular basis).
TLDNR: Megaserver has “effected” the supply (not just of the TP but all players inventory) and I’m not sure this was part of Anet’s overall plan (good or bad).
I’ve seen lots of arguments for bringing back the old XP crafting leveling potential, but EQUALITY is one of the more “inventive” ones I’ve seen. Total rubish, but quite creative. I really like the psudo-threat of being willing to “sacrifice” ANY XP gain via crafting for the sake of “integrity”…..nice!
REBUTAL TO ‘CLAIM’: Looking at the Skill points on my characters, I’ve leveled up hundreds (possibly THOUSANDS) of times after reaching LVL 80 and since you could NEVER earn more than 80 LVLs via crafting, these 2 methods were never remotely equal in potential…..NEXT CASE!
(edited by Brother Grimm.5176)
You do realize (when or if) they make craftable precursors, they will NOT be the existing ones, right? They will either make a new tier of Precursor / Legendary weapons or there will be some “restrictions” / “differences” in the “easier” to obtain ones they introduce.
They cannot NOW make it easier for the existing Legendaries to be obtained. THAT is not going to happen (granted, I could be wrong….but I’d love to watch the feces storm that follows if they do).
Just so you note, Anet is unlikely to help you move 5 soulbound items (you crafted) to another character. They don’t fix that kind of player error…..
I think you found the reason most players don’t use that Sigil…..
Condition duration increases rounds DOWN to the next lowest FULL second. Burning is typically so short it takes a LOT of increase to meet that criteria. (you would have to be applying 5s of burn to use that Sigil and get any increase).
Open a Support ticket. Worse that can happen is they say “no”.
That’s really a question to be answered by what other components you are looking to add. Most notably, the Graphics card(s) and any mechanical HDs.
Unless you are planning on running a DB server or doing some major graphics work (AutoCad, Solidworks, Creative Suite, etc.), an i7 is not needed. Again, this is true for every 3D game I can think of.
I would hope the IDIOTS would realize that encouraging such behavior (much less using obscene language while doing so) is likely to get reported by multiple other players….not too bright.
Now are these individuals trying to allow one of the Temple Defense event fail, so they can restart the Temple events or are they failing events to farm mobs associated with those Events? I’d say there is a distinct difference (tho, technically both are “against the rules”).

……
Bullkitten. It is possible to make money from every Crafting Discipline.
When I leveled my Armorsmithing it cost me 35G to get it to 500. I sold items back that I had created and banked 140G when done.
……
While I applaud your defense of crafting to make money, I think if you factored in the cost of materials you already HAD or collected during the process, your numbers would not “appear” to be so profitable. Many crafters (myself included) often discount the opportunity cost of on-hand materials as “free” when in fact, they cost you time to collect and were lost income when they were not SOLD as raw materials or intermediate components.
Before boasting about profits from crafting the actual cost should be properly calculated Just because you spent 35g does not mean you the crafting ’cost" you 35g.
Note that if you are wanting 60fps in Zergs, I don’t think those specs exist.
There is no real reason for an i7 as an equivalent i5 will perform only a few percentage points lower (and save you hundreds of $). This is true for most 3D games (as the calculations an i7 is better at are handled by the GPU in 3D games).
I just want to get an exotic aqua breather with the right stat combos.
A – Freakin’ – Men, Brotha (or Sista)!
OP’s obvious goal (needed or not) is to get infusion slots for Exotic gear, so I fear all these (very good) suggestions are being shoved aside to continue focusing on the OPs real goal. All the suggestions being made are wasted (IMO), as the OP is likely already aware of them and doesn’t really want those “solutions” to the “dilemma”.
If some content (besides higher Fractals) presents itself in game that requires AR in a more general sense (i.e. Mursaat show back up), I’ll back this request, but until then, it’s simply not needed. It also removes some incentive for pursuing Ascended gear (in a very narrow segment of players), which I doubt Anet wants to take away.
I also find the idea of Fractal player without access to Laurels rather far fetched.

3 signet bearbow is the best ranger build that is why people run it
Either AWESOME sarcasm or full on self delusion…..
Run what you want in places that your build does not effect others (much), but don’t get offended when people make fun of your “Bearbow” when you try to join an instanced / party required game mode.
My opinion of Bearbow is that it’s simply the path of least resistance for lazy players….yes, it works (up to a point). I’ve certainly run in before….but it makes my inner baby Jesus cry when I do.
