Blaine's letters (?)

Charrbeque.8729

I got a third Blaine letter today. He now calls himself Lord Blaine, Prince of Winslow. And he’s switched from gardening to “armoring”.

Me too. Just got a third letter from him. The letter came on a character I didn’t feed him with for the achievement (or have even been to Lake Doric with yet), so it seems to be an account thing.

I’m curious now, and kinda excited, but trying not to get my hopes up that anything will happen.

Pinpoint Distribution trait: text error

This engineer trait was changed a bit in the recent skill balance.

The text info in the tooltip in game reads:

Increased Precision (9s): 150 Condition Damage

Guys, precision increases critical hit chance and this trait only increases condition damage.

The bug is noted on the wiki:

Bug: Incorrectly listed as “Increased Precision” in the Build panel

Probably happened because the trait use to increase condition damage based on your precision. So somebody got a little mixed up LOL.

Crafting Discovery Characterbound?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

It’s worth knowing that this recently changed, and prior to that recipes were character-bound even from sheets.

Yes. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Recipe

Crafting recipes must be unlocked or “learned” before they can be crafted. Recipe unlocks are account-based: learning a recipe on one character will unlock it for all other characters on your account (as of the July 26, 2016 update).

It was changed like, 7 months ago.

The wiki page there^ doesn’t indicate that it’s only recipe sheets and makes it sound as if it’s all recipes, but it was in the patch notes: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates/2016-07-26#General_3

Recipes unlocked through consumables are now unlocked account-wide. Logging in with a character will add their known recipes to the account.

Hmm…..in fact the wiki doesn’t indicate at all that recipes learned through discovery are only unlocked for the character who discovered them. But I’m pretty sure that’s the case. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crafting#Discovery

Rime-Rimmed Mariner's Rebreather effect

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

It would be nice if we could transmute the effect to other aquabreathers.

The problem: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rime-Rimmed_Mariner's_Rebreather#Notes

Since the effect is not attached to the skin – which is the common Aquabreather skin – it is not possible to transfer the effect to other items.

It just uses the default aquabreather skins instead of having its own unique skin. So when you go to transmute a different breather, there’s no special skin to transmute to.

This also means that the icon used by the wiki will never appear ingame, as the icon of the skin is always prioritized ingame.

It would be nice if they gave it a unique skin that looked like the icon on the wiki, or something similar. Especially since it has a limited selection of stats, as well as being exotic rarity.

P.S. During Wintersday 2016, there was a WvW reward track also (the same exact track as PvP). I completed it a few times. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ultimate_Wintersday_Gift

Recipes learned through discovery are only unlocked for the character that discovers them.

Consumable recipe sheets you learn will unlock for all current and future characters on your account. Recipe sheets that are available for multiple crafting diciplines (such as: armorsmith, tailor, and leatherworker) will unlock for all of those disciplines.

Is it possible to reset WvW Ability Points?

in WvW

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

Sadly, no.

They use to be reset for us (on all characters) on certain occasions, but that hasn’t happened for a long time. But, from the looks of the wiki, we can eventually get enough WvW rank points to fill in everything, though it will take a long time. So like the mastery system, there isn’t any point to resetting them since you can eventually fill everything out.

How you distribute your points is a per-character basis. Each character has the same amount of points but can distribute them how you see fit. Your options are to keep playing to earn more rank points for what you need them for, or use a character that hasn’t distributed the points yet and put the points into the things you need.

It would be nice if they could give us a reset button so we can redistribute our points, but the button goes away if you’ve maxed your WvW rank and earned all points.

Ascended crafting/buying comparison

Ascended weapons and armor were added to BLING because there are some players who do not want to do any crafting, but do want to play Fractals. BLING gives these players access to Ascended weapons and armor without forcing them to level up their crafting skills.

For players who are interested in crafting, crafting remains the most efficient way to obtain Ascended weapons and armor on-demand, which is intentional, as Ascended crafting is the big payoff for leveling your crafting skills.

The only thing missing from this is a thread titled “We’ve heard your feedback” and the only thing the post has is a selfie of a dev sitting in the office with his middle finger extended.

Naah, they will just ignore it as that leather farm thread.

You’re probably right. The “leather farm” is just another example of them giving the players an “alternative” to something, but in reality it’s no better than what we already had. In fact, worse since you have to actually team up with others to do the farm.

It does seem at this point any time they listen to feedback and give us other ways to acquire certain things, those new ways are always going to be worse than what we originally had.

So yeah. For a long time players complained about leather prices and all. As I said, they only give us these new ways to get things to shut people up.

It doesn’t seem to be working because people are complaining even more than they were before.

The direction of the game seemed to be going good for a while. But now it seems almost as if ArenaNet has become resentful, or even spiteful, of the community.

Ascended crafting/buying comparison

Charrbeque.8729

The only issue I ever had with crafting ascended gear was the time gated one-per-day items. It took months to craft a full set of armor for 1 character and after that I said never again. Even if I saved up mats I get while spending hours a day playing the game and have enough to craft multiple of a single time gated material, I was forced to wait. I also preferred to buy only the materials I needed from the trading post and craft everything myself to cut down on costs.

I remember seeing this a few months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/53o5mq/bling9009_merchant/d7ut7v7/

And now players are forced to level up their crafting. (Granted, I already have all disciplines, except scribe, at max level, but still….)

It’s pretty clear at this point: they want to force us to craft ascended gear one way or the other. What they should have done was remove all sources of ascended gear from the fractal vendor, PvP, loot box drops, etc., and make crafting the ONLY way to get it.

What’s the point of getting it from a vendor if we’re left to feel, as the dev said, that crafting it will always be a better option? It feels like the only reason they even added ascended gear to the fractal vendor was to shut people up about the time gating and costs with crafting it, NOT to actually give us an alternative way to acquire it.

The only thing missing from this is a thread titled “We’ve heard your feedback” and the only thing the post has is a selfie of a dev sitting in the office with his middle finger extended.

Obviously, it doesn’t do any good to even post this. They’re pretty adamant about how they want us to get gear in this game. It’s no use complaining about it, posting feedback, or suggestions on how to make things better.

So much for player choice.

If you find it, be sure to tag up and announce it’s location to help others find it.

I was confused as well. It just said something about the food going straight through the cat’s body and it didn’t take the strawberry ghost. I mentioned it in zone chat and was told you need to eat about 5 or so strawberry ghosts yourself. So eat a few until your character looks like a ghost, then talk to the cat while you look like that and it will take the food.

Dire Auric Weapons?

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dire_Orichalcum_Imbued_Inscription#Used_in looks like you can only craft pearl weapons with it.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Marauder_Orichalcum_Imbued_Inscription#Used_in yes, you can make Marauder Auric weapons.

Here you go: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Auric_weapons#Overview

Crafted Auric weapons have the prefix given by the inscription they were crafted with. Some inscriptions cannot be used to craft Auric weapons (such as Giver’s). Inscriptions that can be used are Apothecary, Assassin, Berserker, Carrion, Cleric, Crusader, Knight, Marauder, Rampager and Valkyrie

It seems you can’t craft Auric weapons with Dire stats. On the bright side, you can use a transmutation charge to get the Auric skin, as long as you’ve crafted that weapon to unlock it.

Edit: All Auric weapons require an Exalted [weapon] Core that you craft, but you need to purchase the recipe from https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Exalted_Mastery_Vendor#vendor9

[MISSION Impossible] Siege Commander's Spoon

in WvW

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

For those who are still getting them, do you have the spoon collection unlocked? They seem to turn into broken spoon drops once that collection requirement is either met or the collection is completed, not sure which.

As I pointed out, https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Broken_Spoon it clearly states that the broken spoon replaces some others, such as siege commander’s spoon, after getting that spoon for the collection.

But it seems some people are still getting the siege commander’s spoon dropped.

You may be right about something. I completed the Koutalophile collection achievement a long time ago. As I said, I’ve been doing WvW for several weeks now and not once received a siege commander’s spoon, but instead at least 1 broken spoon a day. I also recall not getting the fractal spoon for a long time as well, though I had received a few broken spoons instead. Perhaps the broken spoon doesn’t replace the siege commander’s, fractal, and carved bone spoons until the collection is completed?

And I do remember something about the drop rate being adjusted.

[MISSION Impossible] Siege Commander's Spoon

in WvW

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

I got it pretty quick after the spoon collection was released.

Something was changed later though. After you get the Siege Commander’s Spoon for the collection, you’ll never get it again. Instead you’ll get a Broken Spoon junk item that has the same 10 silver merchant value. Same thing happens after getting the Fractal Spoon and Carved Bone Spoon: you get the broken spoon instead when doing that content. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Broken_Spoon

I’ve been doing WvW for a few hours almost every day for the last few weeks and I get at least 1 Broken Spoon every day. So, it does seem to be at least common enough to where if you need the Siege Commander’s Spoon for the collection achievement, it shouldn’t be too hard to get.

Veteran Sentry’s can drop the spoon. Just look for little flag icons on the map that are a different color than your server. Those locations just have a single veteran standing all by itself. Kill the vet, then stand in the circle to capture the location for your server.

Veterans that escort dolyaks can also drop the spoon. But, you need to kill the vets first, otherwise they despawn immediately after killing the dolyak.

And here is the problem with siege: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Siege_weapon#Siege_weapons_despawning

Player-placed siege weapons despawn if they are not manned for 60 minutes (15 minutes for Flame Ram). The time remaining is shown by the Siege Decay Timer effect on the weapon; players can reset it by briefly manning the weapon.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Siege_Decay_Timer

Siege weapons will self-destruct when the timer expires. Weapons in use will not self-destruct.

Notes:

Interacting with the siege weapon will reset the timer.

As long as siege is in use, or a player uses it for a second, it will never expire and despawn. And that goes with what I was saying earlier with automated siege usage: if there aren’t many players from any server in EBG for a rather long period of time, someone can sit on a trebuchet for many hours automating siege usage without ever having to rebuild the treb because it will never expire.

Change the siege decay timer to make it continue even when the siege is in use. Siege lasts for 1 hour if it’s not used or interacted with in that amount of time, and 1 hour should be more than enough to break through a wall or gate, even for a single superior trebuchet.

Charrbeque.8729

Huh. Never knew this bug even existed, and I’ve spent a lot of time in that map.

I do agree it can be a bit annoying. At the end of Cavern of Unseen Lights there is usually 2 bloodstone crystal nodes on the left rocks floating in the air and 2 on the right rocks, as well as often times there’s a rich mithril node on the ledge next to the Temple of Renewal mastery insight.

You can’t get to all of the nodes in 1 run. I always have to use the Depths of the Maw Waypoint to drop down and glide back over to get the rest, because the updrafts mainly used for fighting the Unbound Guardian don’t put you high enough. And the ledge the mastery insight is on isn’t high enough to glide from the get the bloodstone nodes. I always have to make 3 runs to get them all: 2 on 1 side, 2 on the other, then the mithril node at the insight if available.

On the bright side, a while back ArenaNet did nerf the White Mantle Knight’s rock throwing ability by reducing its range, so it’s much safer nowadays to glide through there with little to no risk of getting knocked out of the air and falling to your death. Usually if I get pelted it’s only 1 or 2 rocks. Though, there are still times when I’m knocked out of the air. Usually I’m up high enough for the stun to wear off before hitting the ground, but I have to waypoint and start my glide all over again. Sadly, none of the 5 gliding skills you can unlock for Bloodstone Fen have a stun breaker. Skill 5 can allow you to evade attacks for a few seconds and gives 1 stack of stability, but I’ve still been knocked down due to getting hit multiple times with rocks. Also, skill #5 gives 4 seconds of evasion and the stability last 5 seconds and is applied when you activate the skill, meaning, you only get 1 second of stability.

Thanks for the link, Fleshie.

Question : is Macro allow ?

in WvW

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

To give an official answer: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Policy-3rd-Party-Programs-Multi-Boxing-Macros/first#post1532762

Guild Wars 2 players are permitted to use macros as long as the macros are programmed with a 1 key for 1 function protocol.

This means that if you program a macro, it must require one keystroke per action. You may not program a single key to perform multiple functions.
For example, if you Press A and it results in the casting of a single skill, you’re ok. If you Press A and it casts multiple spells, you’re not ok.
You cannot program a macro to perform the same or multiple actions on more than one account at a time.
You cannot program an “auto-clicker” macro that, for instance, opens chests while you play elsewhere.
NOTE: We make an exception for music composition or performance macros. As long as they are used solely for the performance of in-game music, they may be used without the restrictions above.

So if you have like a mouse with a lot of buttons, it’s fine as long as each button only does 1 thing. If you push a single button and your character performs multiple actions at once, it’s not allowed.

As always, if you think someone is in violation of the rules, such as using macros to perform multiple actions with 1 key/button press, report them for botting.

Ideas for EB

Charrbeque.8729

Make it like RTS game: once Stonemist Castle is fully upgraded, it will build a nuclear golem that takes 2 hours to complete. Once complete the golem will start heading towards the enemy keep of your choice (like the overlook). Once there it will ’splode, destroying all walls, siege, NPCs, and any players inside. The golem will would slowly and can be killed before it reaches its destination. It would have a 6 hour cooldown before you can build another. Hey, it beats trying to take a keep with 20 arrow carts raining down on you.

Make EBG great again!
(I’m joking)

The thing about trebuchets is, as long as you have the 2 key pressed, it will charge up fully and fire on its own every single time it comes off cooldown. Players will jam something in between the keys, or put something heavy on the 2 key (or maybe use a macro) and go AFK for hours at a time. The problem is this will keep the waypoint contested at SMC for long periods of time, making it hard to get to it to defend if an enemy zerg is trying to take it. Same goes for anyone inside SMC using a treb on a keep: their waypoint stays contested.

I had actually witnessed it myself once. A player on the outer wall of the overlook was trebbing the north east corner of SMC for a couple hours or so. My squad went on the hill just north of SMC and use a ballista to take out the treb along with the player using it. Another player came along and revived him. He didn’t waypoint or anything and appeared to be using a skill over and over as though it was set to autocast (probably weapon skill #2 since skill #2 is used for firing the treb). About 20 minutes later he was back up on the wall with a new treb, hitting SMC again. We took him out again but this time he either waypointed or logged out because his corpse vanished just as soon as he was dead.

Also I’ve noticed that even though the wall of SMC is broken and their server doesn’t go in to try and capture it, the player on the treb will continue to hit the corner. Also, players who own SMC will waste supply constantly repairing the wall. It’s pretty pointless when someone on a treb is AFK all day.

Of course it stops, for a little while, if a squad goes over there and destroys the siege on the walls.

In my opinion this is a form of automated gameplay, though I don’t know if this specifically would be in violation of the rules. I admit it is pretty boring. I spent about 20 minutes or so on a treb once, inside SMC, hitting the outer wall of the overlook and with it reinforced it was taking forever to break down. I got bored and went off roaming or zerging.

Yeah, no. Often times my squad will go to a tower to flip it shortly after, or right when, it can be flipped, and siege from the last players to take it are still there. It wouldn’t be right for us to just use their siege while saving our blueprints and supply. Besides, you get a tiny bit of WXP when destroying siege, and every little bit helps.

Edit: And it means the amount of supply required to build siege would probably increase due to the chance of needing to build less of your own siege if you could just use someone else’s. This would cause squad to have to resupply more often, which wastes time when you’re working on capturing multiple locations.

SAB weapons don't hide when gathering/gliding

Super weapon skins don’t hide when gathering or gliding. For gliding it’s not a big deal, but while gathering it looks awkward. Using Reap-r-Tron, Log-r-Tron, and Watchwork mining pick, weapons stowed on my back, such as the Super Greatsword, Super Staff or Super Long Bow, will move back and forth clipping through my character’s torso.

This happens with the plain ‘Super’ weapon skins (the blue ones). I don’t know if it happens with the other versions, such as King Toad’s or Kaiser skins.

Also I noticed the tooltip for my longbow shows as “Marauder’s Super Long Bow” (where longbow is 2 separate words for some reason).

Not a super big deal. Please fix when you can.

I don’t think it works in WvW. Only PvE open world content. At least in core Tyria. (I’m not sure if it functions in HoT and later maps, but I’m guessing it does.)

If your complaint is that downed enemies are being revived faster in WvW, it’s probably due to slotted traits that certain professions have.

Warning - HoT removes Tyria Dailies

The only one I agree on is the daily world boss achievement. It almost never comes up since HoT came out. It use to be about every other day it would have you kill a specific world boss. I think the last daily world boss I saw was around November or December in 2016, and was the first in months. Usually it’s a jumping puzzle or adventure in a HoT map instead.

I do get daily gatherer and vista viewer for core Tyria quite frequently though. Much more often than HoT maps.

Edit: I forget to mention that daily event completer (for completing 4 events in a specific map) is usually a core Tyria map, and rarely a HoT map.

January 14, 2017 (after daily reset) I have 3 PvE dailies for core Tyria, and the unfortunate HoT adventure which is the only HoT daily that comes up on a regular basis. (It’s Tendril Torchers. I spent over an hour 1 day on it and could never get anything better than silver once or twice. I might not have been able to get silver at all, no matter how hard I tried. It’s been a while since I last tried and I can’t be bothered with it ever again.)

Quite honestly, I can’t stand HoT adventures due to how difficult and annoying they are.

Pro tip: for daily gatherer in HoT maps, just go to your guild hall and gather from the nodes there if your guild has them unlocked. Guild halls count as a HoT map, much like home instance nodes will count for their regions (such as the charr home instance counting for daily Ascalon gathering, if you have nodes unlocked).

daily grieved;

Salvage pit is really weird, because it’s the only adventure I know that gets harder with more people.

The area should boot people who die.

That’s a good idea. If you die inside it would teleport your corpse outside the pit, up to the spot where you enter the pit. This would make it easier for other players to revive you so you don’t have a long walk back.

Some of them might not be griefing though. Some players have a habit of not waypointing when dead because they hope someone will revive them. Often times it’s because you have a long walk to get back to where you were when you died. But in the salvage pit adventure, reviving dead players isn’t an option because you’ll get killed yourself and/or get a lousy score and have to start over. Though it is possible some players didn’t waypoint on purpose because it interferes with others doing the adventure.

A noob used to be someone who was new to the game, I wonder when it began to mean “someone who kills me with a weapon/class/build that I don’t like”?

You’re thinking of newb, or newbie. Someone who is new to something.

A noob, or n00b, generally refers to someone who isn’t good at something despite their experience, and seem to have no will to even try to get better at it. They also have a tendency to think they are good at something when really they aren’t and the refuse to admit just how bad they are.

https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Noob <—-educational material.

It seems the OP had repeatedly roflstomped a n00b and he was salty about it, which is typical n00b behavior.

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mistforged_Hero's_weapons

Triumphant Hero’s Armor is kinda similar. You have the regular Triumphant Armor that you can get from a reward track, like you can get the Hero’s Weapons from another reward track.

But currently there’s no way to obtain the Mistforged Hero’s Weapons or Triumphant Hero’s Armor. You can preview the armor as it’s in the wardrobe in the bank window.

I’m guessing they have plans to release both the weapons and armor eventually.

The thing about the Mistforged Hero’s Weapons was that it would unlock the skin for both versions. But we have a reward track for only the regular Hero’s Weapons, so I’m assuming if they bring back Mistforged it will only unlock the skin for the Mistforged version.

Then again, people have been complaining about the state of WvW for many months (such as it’s dead, the rewards suck, etc.), and ArenaNet hasn’t said, or done much, about it. So it could be quite a while before we get the Mistforged Hero’s Weapons and Triumphant Hero’s Armor.

What this have to d with my health in the fractals fractals is in PvE ? This is not logic at all one day i make fractals with 37,000 health an the other with 33,000 what is this, this effects my build in the way i want it.

Yes. Fractals and raids are part of PvE, so power of the mists affects you there also. PvP is the only place it doesn’t apply.

Power of the mists is automatically applied to all players on a server and there’s no way you can control it or remove it. You don’t even need to participate in WvW for the buff to apply to you.

If players in WvW on your server aren’t doing too well, the buff will be decreased, and every single player on your server will have less health. If your server is doing well in WvW, everybody will have an increase in health.

You can hover your mouse over the WvW button in the top left corner of your screen to see what the buff is currently at.

Mystic Coins 1 gold each

Oh geez. I’m not sure what to make of this (or really how to even read the graph). With it set to day, at 1:40am on Jan. 11 the supply was at over 15k, then at about 1:50am it suddenly spiked to over 4g with the supply dropping to below 1,000 available.

Reminds me of the first day of Wintersday, Dec. 13, 2016, when the supply suddenly went from over 20k to under 6k or so.

If it really is only a couple players doing this, I do hope the devs really are “keeping an eye on things”.

Blame the flippers who horde entire bank inventories with Mystic Coins to sell for higher.

Only Anet can resolve something like that. Need more ways to obtain them.

Yep. All 2 of them.

Just saw this on Reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/5nbdxj/someone_just_bought_10k_mystic_coins_price_is/dcb764k/?context=1000

30,000 mystic coins were suddenly purchased, pushing the price to over 2g each. It was only 2 players who purchased them, as mentioned by a dev.

Though at the time of writing, it looks like the price of mystic coins is under 1g.

No idea what’s going on, other than the devs are keeping any eye on things. I’m still hopeful they do something eventually to make getting MC a little easier. Still waiting to finish my NIghtfury shoulder skin. I’m at around 70 MC now. I’ll finish it when MC isn’t so expensive, or I eventually get enough from daily log in rewards, whichever comes first LOL.

Skritt Hit wintersday daily?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

Problems with the dolyak escort mission in Divinity’s Reach:
Hitting other players holding snowballs that are also trying to complete the Skritt Hit daily. Getting hit by other players, which knocks you down and prevents you from throwing a snowball. Getting hit by ‘Snowball Fighter’ NPCs that are along the Dolyak’s path (they will actually aim at players holding snowballs if you get close enough). Players kicking skritt out of the way just as you throw a snowball (nothing wrong with that since it’s the way you’re suppose to do the event). Often times I’ll get hit and knocked down 3 or more times in a row and by the time I’m standing again, all the skritt were kicked and despawned or the dolyak died.

It can be done, but takes a few dolyak runs to complete. And as others have said, if the skritt aren’t kicked the dolyak will die and the event will end, causing players to spend more gold to get it started again. Also, not many players bother to get the event going anymore.

Skritt in Ember Bay: only hostile skritt will count. Can’t throw the snowball if you’re in combat mode from being attacked. A red message pops up on screen saying you can’t use that item while in combat. So all you can do is run out of aggro range, in which case your other snowballs on the ground will be gone by the time you come back.

For the renowned heart on the east side of the map, it’s random which skritt become grouchy and hostile. Sometimes you can wake a few in a row that just say something funny and jump into the ground without attacking you. Even if you’re quick to throw the snowball before the skritt despawns, it still won’t count because the skritt wasn’t hostile. And for grouchy skritt, if you get hit you have to run out of range to break out of combat mode and the skritt will be despawned by the time you get back to it.

Best solution I’ve heard (though never tried): enter the Infinarium dungeon by yourself with some packs of snowballs. Plenty of hostile skritt at the beginning of the dungeon. Just stand far enough away for your snowballs to reach without drawing aggro.

WvW Queue Issue

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

Posted by: Charrbeque.8729

Charrbeque.8729

I’ve never had this issue.

There are 3 options to choose from when the WvW queue comes up:
Travel – sends you to the WvW map you were queued for
Reenter Queue – puts you back in the queue at the end of the line
Leave queue – self explanatory

I believe the ‘Reenter Queue’ option is the middle button in the window that pops up. What’s most likely happening is you’re selecting this option.

Edit: Another thought……if you’re pressing the ‘Enter’ key (or other key) to automatically make your selection when the window pops up, it’s possible the default selection is set to reenter the queue instead of traveling to the map.

Also, when bringing up the game options and choosing to log out, there are 3 options in a window that pops up: Log out – Character Select screen – Exit Game.
If I remember right, some time ago it use to be that when pressing the spacebar, enter key, or whatever key it was, to make an automatic selection, it would default to the ‘Log Out’ button. They changed it so that it defaults to the middle option for going to the character select screen.

So the ‘Reenter Queue’ option in the WvW queue window, and ‘Character Select’ on the log out window, are both the middle options. Maybe the systems are connected somehow?

Solution – swap the ‘Travel’ and ‘Reenter Queue’ buttons in the WvW queue pop up window so that ‘Travel’ is in the middle?

I think a dev had responded on players getting the living story season 3 episodes for free, but not being able to do the content because you need to own HoT. It’s pretty much the same for gliders: you have it unlocked now and can gain access to it when/if you buy HoT.

So it’s not really a bug. You could still try to contact customer support and explain the situation and ask if you can get a key refund.

Downed skill #3 and #4 have always started on cooldown each time you get downed, as far as I can remember. Even if they come off cooldown, but you don’t use them before getting rallied, they will still be back in cooldown if you get downed again 5 seconds later. It’s happened to me countless times. And specifically, skill #3 is always in a long cooldown when you get downed while skill #4 is only a few seconds. Only skill #1 and #2 can be used right away. This goes for all professions.

As far as I know it’s working as intended.

^^^Under ‘Digital Downloads’, DLgamer is on ArenaNet’s list of authorized retailers.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/retailers

Do not buy from G2A. They are a scam.
There’s been many threads where players specifically ask if G2A is a legit site, and the consensus of the community is the same: that it’s not an authorized retailer and is a shady website.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/New-GW2-account-from-G2A (A player’s friend bought his account at G2A and his account got banned)

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2015/01/28/ubisoft-key-resellers-stolen-cards/

https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2016/06/indie-dev-tinybuild-lost-450000-to-fraudulent-sale.html Here is how it works:

As TinyBuild described in their blog post on the matter, the common practice for scammers is to “get ahold of a database of stolen credit cards on the darkweb. Go to a bundle/3rd party key reseller and buy a ton of game keys. Put them up onto G2A and sell them at half the retail price.” This allows scammers to make thousands of dollars while preventing any profit from reaching the game developers because, once the stolen credit cards are processed, the payments will be denied. The developer won’t receive any money, but they will already have given out the keys.

And that is exactly what happens, as seen in this thread from 6 months ago where I responded https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/Guildwars-2-Account-Suspended-I-need-help/first#post6210373
