Can you please change it to only needing 2 scraps per refinement and not needing 100 per ascended material instead of the 50 every other mat requires? The price of silk is going up AGAIN and there’s no reason for a single ascended mat to be 4x the price of the other ones.
Well that would be nice… if ANet did that before I finished my ascended cloth! Honestly I’d rather see them implement a system that makes cloths more predictably farm-able. How about a silkworm farm? Cotton field? Flax field? Something that isn’t purely based off the RNG would be nice.
Yeh silk is easy to get but literally 300 scraps per day without farming is bs. I can cap mf with food and a banner yet still struggle to get enough salvage to get anywhere near that each day for 1 bolt of damask.
Farming 300 silk a day is honestly not fun, it goes from fun farm to boring grind… also it takes hours…
I’m personally still of the mind that legendaries should never have been sellable (pre-Ks I’m still ok with for the most part).
The price got undercut in minutes and it went lower and lower the days after.
We never had really the chance to sell it and i feel like i will never do , there are 7 more Eternity cheaper than mine at moment.
Welcome to free market capitalism.
It was my own decision and i blame myself, i don’t blame the game or arena net, i just feel sorry for my girlfriend, since she invested a lot in it to give me the motivation to play this game with her again.
Glad you accept that. Although if the only aspect of the game you actually played was the trading post then the game clearly wasn’t giving you much in the way of fun.
Now isn’t the best time to sell legendary weapons as everyone seems to be crafting and selling them.
For fear of potential future price drops. So yeah, now is probably the best time to start selling and undercutting.
I wish my game experience could be spoiled like that.
Yeah, I know right.
The simple fact is that now matter how little you sell it for, you have made a massive profit. The problem is you’re looking for a material profit rather than the actual profit you’ve made.
Get out of here with your idealism! Materialism forever! Or until the end of the universe :P
I don’t mind it being patched out, I just mind there being nothing to replace it.
Well people have been asking for a template system in a wardrobe for a while now, and as always +1
As for the issue with current outfits. Well it’s a matter of effort required. It’s easier to make a single outfit then to spend time ensuring that each pieces matches (doesn’t clip) with each other piece of armor currently in the game.
So it seems the overall consensus is more.
How about a character creator like that of Black Desert Online?
Oh that’s so amazing. ANet would probably have to do some massive overhauls of the game engine. I’m unsure how much work ANet actually does on a regular basis to their engine but from the outside it seems that they’re mostly tweaking what they current have.
The ability to see looped animations. Like character running, or character swinging a weapon of a type for their class, etc.
Definitely a +1 for character creation, would also add a bit more wow factor to it, and seeing as how it’s the first part of the game most players will see the more wow the better.
In GW2 my alts have generally come out as I like but I see so many out-of-scale tiny or giant people (of the same race) it’s bizarre.
Eh I know right, my one Norn is basically just a tall human.
and body shapes like BBW charr and beer gut male charr
Granted they’d have a hard time in the fahrar but yeah would be entertaining.
I would like my necro to look like a hunchback, decripit person with shaky hands and holding fingers like claws, and possibly using his staff to walk. Also removing all the muscles would be nice.
Yeah we’re basically given a spectrum between two extremes, pretty boy and ruggedly manly (for guys), and lolitas and beauty-queens (for girls). Sure there’s a couple of exceptions here and there but overall there’s not a lot of fat and ugly people running around. At the very least they can give us some nice scars. I’d love it if my Charr Necro looked liked he’d spent his formative years in dog fights. Nice big scar running down the side of his race just to emphases “I’m evil” (yes yes I know I’m stereotyping my looks here).
A system like this was sorely missed for completionists. Also this might give more people motivation to play the slot machine / BLTP in order to get them all.
..I wonder what the rewards would be..
More dyes!
AngryJoe Interview - HoT Questions for Devs?

pfff hate to see anet abusing us like this. Getting a reviewer who barely played since the release to comment on the upcoming xpac, this just feels like the interviewer after the Xpac was announced. Not blaming Angry Joe for this, but it just looks like they were trying to seek another market mechanism to promote the Xpac more. If anet really cared about us they would send some expert players of pvp/pve/wvw to interview. There are alot of unsolved problems out there on the field, but this way it’s not beneficial in any way for our community…
They’re also bringing BogOtter, MatVisual and Aurora Peachy (and some others). All of whom are well known fans of GW2 who actively cover the game.
Also AngryJoe will bring a outsiders opinion, ideally he’d not get bogged down by pointless details like "When is class X’s ability Y going to get fix :_( ", or “I hate this feature so make ANet say sorry”. he’d be able to review GW2 HoT as an expansion, as he would any other game.
I could see them adding it in with a potential Digital Deluxe edition of the expansion, but for the standard one it is quite unlikely, simply due to the fact that people would find it rather unfair that some that missed it had to pay while others would get it for free by simply buying the expansion.
I think this is pretty much they way they should go with it.
After seeing the glider I instantly thought of how great it would be to have custom Gliders.
Coming to the gems store soon after launch I’m sure. No way ANet’s not going to see the opportunity in selling custom gliders.
In all the suggestion threads since release I can’t remember a single person saying they wanted to further explore magguma.
That’s not true, I’ve been asking for exploration maps for a long time now.
Guild Halls is a “major feature”, this is beyond insulting for obvious reasons.
Clearly not obvious, because I’m not sure what you’re on about.
new racial armor which people will complain about
If they were to add tengu they’d 10 to 1 use the Charr body style… so yeah Charrmor and Tenmor? Tengumor? Either way a lot of unhappy campers.
Guild halls were something along with GvG that anyone should have expected DAY ONE
This argument could be made for literally every single current feature in the game.
with a sequel to GUILD wars. And were even promised by Anet tons of times to be in “future updates”.
And HoT doesn’t fall under the category of future update? Sorry I just don’t think you’re logically considering your words here.
I completely agree. This game has been out for almost 3 years now and they arent even giving out new races or a brand new continent that we havent been to yet.
And here is the real problem, you’ll never be happy no matter what ANet produces. Even if they did give us a new race or a new continent you’ll still just use the 3 year argument and say it’s not enough. It will never be enough for you.
Is HOT going to fix condition stacking?

Is it really wrong that someone likes to play condi?
Hello my name is CureForLiving and I… I play a condimancer cries I know I have a problem… I… I just don’t know how to stop!
Why is it an option if it’s frowned upon almost universally?
No burst damage, cannot inflict conditions on objects (bit of an issue in dungeons), stack limit can easily be reached by 2 condi-players in essence making all except those two obsolete, most classes have the ability to easily strip conditions off of them (more a pvp issue), overall damage output is lower compared to other builds (such as zerker).
Anet just needs to redesign conditions from scratch.
Well I do agree that ANet needs to sit down and figure this out. At the very least separate pvp and pve skills, balancing for both is going to be problematic.
Is this going to have a slider in the option menu like every other AAA game out there?
Something like this can only distract from the conversation, certainly it did bring up the knee-jerk response of “then go play XYZ!” in me.
I was watching the Revenant twitch stream and it reminded me of what almost all of GW2’s new areas have been like: endless warzones with explosions everywhere, hordes of enemies coming from all directions and the constant push for “epic” meta events. Yet my favorite places of GW2 are all areas with little action: Queensdale, pre-toxic Kessex Hills, Snowden Drifts, Wayfarer Foothills, etc.
Well those zones were pretty much warzones themselves, Queensdale had hordes of Centaurs, Bandits, and unimaginable horrors in the swamp, Kessex Hill was also pretty centaur infested, with a fair number of bandists, Snowden Drifts and Wayferer are under constant assault by the Sons of Svanir, with a nasty dredge infestation. The only real difference is in how content rich and active those zones are (only a hand full of events at a time spread over a large area which leads to the zones not feeling very active).
But I do get where you’re coming from. I like the new meta-map model since it adds a lot of replay, but at the same time the vanilla maps added a sense of exploration and the feel of a lived in world, which maps like Silverwaste and Dry Top don’t, because you don’t have time to stop and smell the roses.
The big problem are Mordrem themselves: they’re beyond boring lore wise.
Well there is some potential with the Sylvari though.
but they’re still a bunch of evil things that want to kill you. They don’t talk, they don’t have conflicting thoughts, they just whack stuff until it stops whacking them back.
This is more an issue with the game mechanics though. Does tie in a little bit into how lore is conveyed through the mechanics, but in essence you can say the same thing for almost all the other non-modrem enemy types.
You cannot have a peaceful area in a dragon control area. You could create a new peaceful map but that would simply be a waste of resources to create something that is not relevant to the game.
True on the first account, debatable on the second. It’s all about the experience that ANet wants to provide the players, an exploration / vanilla style map can offer a very different experience to the meta-maps. Personally I’d prefer more variety overall in GW2 (especially in pvp! although that’s a completely different conversation).
Lol, if you’re looking for a compelling story in a T-rated MMO, you’re going to be looking for a long, long time.
I hope you’re connect MMOs and non-compelling stories, because I’m pretty sure Pixar has proven that the T-rated doesn’t particularly prevent compelling stories. Also why do I constantly get the feeling that when people bring in ratings they’re secretly trying to say that something like Game of Thrones should be the standard for compelling stories?
It’s not really that the rating forbids thought-provoking story
Yeah something like Game of Thrones is not thought provoking.
(edited by CureForLiving.5360)
Come on ANet! It’s basically just a reskin with some animations, think of all the happy rangers you’ll make!
There might be a lot of buildings but most buildings in the game are also too small. Most of the houses seem like they were modeled after a studio apartment.
Yeah, some of the human personal story takes place in doors and it felt extremely cramped. I think it might be an issue of scale, ANet probably planned for little in-door content so a lot of the abodes weren’t scaled up.

Thelonger we have to wait, the more the game has to live up to. As it stands, 1 new profession, 5 new skills per class and some changed traits, 1 new Pvp map, 1 new WvW map, 1-4 new zones, and new content that is locked behind grind gates… This will not cut it if the wait is too long.
I agree with your argument but disagree with the assumption. We’ve already waited 3 years for this expansion, at this point a month or two isn’t going to massively alter the already large expectations. No matter what ANet produces I’m pretty sure we’ll see plenty of “is this all, after 3 years!” comments flying around.
I take it the silverwaste chest farm train has been frequented a lot.
i imagine that, similar to revenants filling in the ‘missing gap’ for soldier professions that great-axes may be added in the next expansion for professions. the problem is, who will be using it apart from warrior?
Well I could see a necro rocking the whole executioner theme (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Executioner_Axe_Toy)

Stack limits are an hardware issue. Imagine two WvW blobs running into each other, you’ve got easily a hundred people duking it out, potentially hundreds of conditions being stacked up. The hardware simply couldn’t handle all that computation (or rather not efficiently), so they limited conditions stacks.
If ANet got more processing capacity, or found a cheaper way of doing the math we could see an increase in condition stacks. However I don’t see it happening soon though.

I reckon HoT will be released end of August to early October.
Now you know the approx. date, happy now?
That’s when they expect GW2 to jump massively in earnings anyway.
I hope you’re right, 2016 would be a marketing suicide & anything late-October is Time-To-Market suicide.
“They” means a NCSoft earnings report, and August to early October seems to be a guesstimate based on said earning report talking about increase in earning come 3rd quarter of 2015 (which would be July to September). However since I doubt ANet will release an unfinished game, we’ll still have to look at how that beta is going to go (or that’s the official word from ANet during the post-announcement at Pax).
The issue is they have locked out any potential LS actually happening until the xpac and that we will be getting nothing or just fillers such as the current event or another wvw tournament with nothing going on in pve.
Honestly I think that’s the only issue, the content dirge before an xpac launch. I feel as if they could have planned S2 a bit better, or planned the xpac development a bit better or done something that would have aligned the end of S2 a bit better with the launch of HoT. Of course I don’t like thinking about it too much since it automatically brings up the questions: why not, and how long have they been working on it.
By people “hyping more” you mean “the retailers screaming they weren’t given industry norm advance warning and telling NCSoft to get stuffed because they aren’t juggling their shelves on short notice to display the rogue product”, right?
Yeah, there’s going to be at least a months delay just to get the disks made and boxes and then another month or two just to make the brick and mortar guys happy.
I don’t think people have coherent mind and I can’t imagine what part of my post makes you think that I’m trying to imply it.
Huh, I’m pretty sure group psychology is a thing though…
It wasn’t Ventari’s Tablet that “turned” the Pale Tree “good”. It was the environment , Ronan found the seed and brought back to his home, finding his family killed vowed to live in peace and started a colony. As the seed matured it became sentient and this was the only way it knew. The tablet is just a physical reminder of that way.
To be clear, this is speculation. We haven’t been told in game our out (as far as I know) what turned the Pale Tree good.
I have a little information on this: Footprints are determined by the geometry of leg joints. That is, the direction of a footprint is determined by the joints of a particular creature’s legs and ankles. For all the races except Charr, those bones bend in the same direction of that of a human, they each have the same “ankle roll.” But if you look at images of the Charr, the ankle roll is different. And it’s the way the leg is configured that results in the footprints being backwards for the Charr. Or, as an artist said, “Once the Ankle goes over the ball of the foot, as it does with the Charr, the footprints get reversed because the (game) engine thinks the foot is pointing the opposite direction.”
Making an adjustment requires the involvement of the Gameplay Programming Team. From what I understand, making this change could require a significant amount of time but I’ll see what we can find out about this.
Huh, a detailed and straight forward response. Thanks Gaile!
Hi gaile,
Can you guys please make legendary aura sizes fit to charr characters ?
My eternity, predator and bifrost aura looks great on humans and slim characters, but the same aura stays inside of my charr character. This makes auras invisible on charrs. Thanks.
You’d probably have more luck making a separate thread for this.
Wait, people care this much about the footprints?
Who cares bro lol
Well bro, you know you’re on the internet right?
AngryJoe Interview - HoT Questions for Devs?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: CureForLiving.5360
Angry Joe? Kinda feel like squealing like a little girl. I guess that means I’m a fan of yours.
Anyway there’s certain things that players want to know which Anet isn’t going to tell us until they decide to tell us, including but not limited to: specializations, release date, weapon combos, some conditions / boon overhauls etc. So you could still ask but I’m not expecting too much from ANet.
At this point my main interest is in how much mileage I’m going to get out of the expansion. Now they’d probably not be able to put a fix hour value on it, but I’d be interested in knowing about world bosses, dungeons, possible raids, how long to max out a mastery track etc. So far ANet has been rather silent on the topic of how much we’re getting in this expansion (focusing more on features). A lot of players (correctly or incorrectly, its debatable but at the very least can’t go without qualifications) have felt that the last few years hasn’t seen a lot of new content being added to GW2. So I think a lot of uncertainty can be addressed if only we knew more about how much gaming we’re going to be getting come HoTs release.
AngryJoe, I recommend that you reinstall the game before the expansion is released and start a new character. After playing for a while, and I don’t think it will take long, you will probably have some pretty big questions of your own to ask.
This is in reference to the New Player Experience (NPE) (I guess). I don’t think this particularly relates to HoT though.
ANet needs to add afk to the report function. Otherwise, seems all we can do it report, and hope that somewhere along the line an admin understands that when we said botting we meant afk and then has the capacity to actually track if the player akitten or not, and then decided to take punitive action.
Just remember, the most important aspect of Taunts in other games is how they put the tank on TOP OF THE THREAT LIST. We have ZERO information what GW2 Taunt will do to Threat generation.
It’s been described as a reverse fear, so the enemy will attack you for 1-3 seconds (probably) and then go back to old threat model.
Revenant Starting Area [Possible Spoilers]

e.g. "i’m a Human …blahblahblah I’ve been born in the streets blahblahblah … i died in (choice here <murder/accident/stupidity>)…
I think we’re taking revenant a bit literally here. I haven’t heard anything about them being dead, or undead.
Right now the sequence of events is
Zhaitan is killed
Scarlet happens
Rtylock goes to the Mists
He comes back as a Revenant
The new Revenant are made or born or trained.
Then they go kill Zhaitan?
I think there’s precedent in GW1. They’ll probably just ignore any lore inconsistencies since it would take a lot of effort to make it all make sense. In much the same way Anet didn’t create a new race for HoT because they felt that the effort would be wasted when they could create a new profession. I think it’s a matter of cost benefit and the benefit of making the lore make sense isn’t out weighed by the cost in terms of time and effort.
Is the sky falling again?
Jip. ANet can’t seem to say a single word without the heavens shuddering. On the bright side at least ANet hardly ever has to wait for get feedback, even if it is the most extreme possible interpretations of what they’ve said.
Isn’t slow basically just like chilled (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Chilled)? It looks very much like chilled, except with no signs of movement speed decrease.
Well I definitely agree with the idea of more variety and separate queues. As there is only 1 stronghold and one deathmatch map, I can however see why they don’t have separate queues. However as they add more maps (which they really should start getting on asap) I do think they need to start separating the queues. Granted this would separate the player-base a bit and potentially lead to longer wait time, but I’d rather wait longer to get a game mode I want than wait to get a game mode I don’t want.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/Revenant-s-starting-zone/4805138
So it’s a no. Would have been nice, but yeah.
Well mastery as far as I’ve seen provides abilities, mastery is also account bound so the having character specific ranks (order selection is character based of course) seems odd. Granted I agree with the core sentiment, having access to Order specific content would be a nice addition. Potentially they might even have some type of reputation system, which allows you to do order mission and gain access to unique rewards the higher your reputation.
However I’m not sure ANet would produce 3 separate streams of content when they could produce a single stream that’s 3 times as long.
Oh come on, there’s like what 6 or so giants in-game you can kill, if you start now you’d only take a year or so :P

So there seems to have been no new info today about HoT.
I know right! It’s Tuesdays newsdays. Not Tuesdays no-newsdays!
But I’d love to know about any new dungeons or raids. Granted I know it’s not core experience that ANet is going for, but adding a couple of new dungeons wouldn’t hurt.
Baring that I’d love to know about the guild halls.

I would be thrilled with profession-specific exploration abilities, but until we actually get something to suggest the NPC abilities are anything beyond that, I’m not holding my breath.
It would be fun, mostly because I have an alt for each profession. Would probably negatively impact those with only a few alts. Unless each profession has functionally similar exploration abilities, in which case it kinda remove some of the appeal of it. With the removal of the trinity we basically see that ANet basically wants to move away from the “LF guardian spec XYZ” style issues, but it does to an extent leave some profession builds kinda same-y. Unique exploration abilities wouldn’t have much of an impact on combat, so at least the core experience wouldn’t be impacted but could add interesting dimensions to map exploration a bit more profession uniqueness. However we’d still see a host of “ANet wants me to level a ranger for map completion! QQ” threads jumping up.
Professions do not have their own starting zones. A character’s starting zone is determined by the race that was selected.
Thank you for finally bringing some clarity on this subject. I am however very disappointed in this decision as it completely wrecks lore continuity, I had hoped the devs had an interesting way to introduce a new class without breaking story. It makes no sense for a Revenant to do the same story steps that all other classes did as that class didn’t exist till Rytlock came back from the mist.
Really dropped the ball on this Anet, really wish you took a page out of the Blizzard playbook here because even though GW2 claims to be a Living World WoW handles their lore and story progression better.
He didn’t say they would have the personal story. He just said they would start in their race’s normal starting area
But it’s a safe assumption none the less.
Zhaitan can corrupt plants – there are Zhaitan-corrupted plants in Sparkfly.
And I’m pretty sure we see Kralky corrupting plants as well.
The only thing that they indeed lack is the raw DPS, wich will, hopefully, be solved by the greatsword.
Well it’s not that bad, unless you’re a condimancer… so best bet the greatsword is going to be a direct damage weapon.
So according to you, greatsword is going to be a direct damage weapon, because condimancer is lacking raw dps?
That doesnt make any sense.I’d really want to see a melee cleave condition weapon. that would be quite unique
Or alternatively anet is going to redo conditions. Probably not. So I’d wager they’d go for the easier solution, and the one that would get the less complaints.
Current exotics turn into precursors?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: CureForLiving.5360
I think they said there would be new precursors for the new legendaries, in which those new precursors won’t be obtained in the same way as the current precursors are.
Well from my understanding its more accurate to say they won’t be exclusively obtained in the same way as the current precursors. I think they’ll still probably be a rate drop.
Revenant Starting Area [Possible Spoilers]
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: CureForLiving.5360
Have none of you realized that the PS NEVER mentions what your class is, so there is NO lore issue with you being in the full existing PS story as a Revenant (beyond the Rytlock is the first one issue).
Other than the fact that the personal story is set more or less the year before the death of zhaitan (culminating in his death of course), S1 is set in the year after zhaitans death, and S2 two years after it. Presumably HoT takes place 2-3 years after the events of the personal story, so you know the kinda the timeline lore is out of sync.
We need less visual effects not more, it’s way too much as it is that it’s hard to tell what is going on a lot of the times.
This. ANet really need to rethink pvp skill effects, more informative at a glance less blinding.
Revenant Starting Area [Possible Spoilers]
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: CureForLiving.5360
Would a new starting area for Revenants be nice? Yes. Would having an entirely new Personal Story for Revenants be nice? Yes. Are we going to get either… eh Anet has been silent on the subject so lets not get our hopes up. We might get a different tutorial area (à la http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Fury_of_the_Dead) but we’ll probably then be slotted back into the old Personal Story.
Since you can swap specialisations anytime you like outside of combat having specialisation specific armour might be inconvenient since you’d most likely automatically un-equip them. Still it would be nice.
Were not getting new weapons and it looks like no new race either, both of which I assumed would be in an expansion.
We’re getting new profession / weapon combos, so that’s basically the same thing as new weapons, since they’ll most certainly function differently in the new combos.
The other day I watched the poi and thought it looks similar to stuff were doing in game now but with some gliding thrown in and gliding won’t be present on the older maps we’ve been told.
Well I think you might be somewhat out of luck. The core game has already been developed, the core mechanics are already in place. If you’re looking for a completely shift in regards to the core components of the game, I’m afraid you’re not going to see it. Lets take WoW for example, no matter how many expansions they release the core mechanics are still the same, somewhat refined here and there but you’re still doing the same thing you did in vanilla. Oh sure the graphics have been tweaked and a new class or raced added but the fundamental mechanics (raids, quests, trinity etc.) are still there. Expansions don’t fundamentally change how games are played, they can add new features or refine present features though. Gliders are an example of such an addition.
Does anyone else feel unimpressed?
Don’t know enough to be impressed, or unimpressed. I am hopeful based on what I’ve seen, but hesitant based on what I haven’t seen.
Stop running DirectX 9 in the expansion?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: CureForLiving.5360
I wonder why they don’t have > DirectX 9? Anyone familiar with dx9 perhaps know why? Would you have to maintain two version of the game, or could you just do some condition checks here and there? I can understand why ANet would be hesitant in having to maintain several concurrent branches (or trunks I guess) but if its something you can add to the existing code base then I have no idea why not.
The only thing that they indeed lack is the raw DPS, wich will, hopefully, be solved by the greatsword.
Well it’s not that bad, unless you’re a condimancer… so best bet the greatsword is going to be a direct damage weapon.
I was pretty bothered by this too, in the beginning. Then… well… I learned to turn off my chat. Although I must say lately I’ve been rather… well I’ve given up hope on PvP being filled with kinda people that just to play together and maybe win a game or two.
I assumed he was saying something much more vulgar, implying that a bunch of intense ERP features would be behind a paywall.
Enterprise Resource Planning?
Can’t say I’ve ever experienced a unpopulated map, especially not since megaserver. OP which region are you playing and at what times?
I can’t speak obviously for any other player…but LS is on break, expansion is on the horizon, no WvW tournament, and Dragon Ball is meh.
I login for Tequatl (and that fills a few shards full) two times a day and that’s it. Orr not much of a used zone anymore…Silverwastes instead.
Kind of a break period.
Seems like a reasonable enough explanation.
1. Open world dueling
2. Mounts
3. Gear inspection
4. Holy Trinity
5. Capes
“For funs !”
At least 2 of those suggestions triggers an instinctive hate response in me. Although capes would be nice.
First of all Hardmode Queensdale would be a different map than normal Queensdale. Same terrain, NPCs, etc, but no way for new players to accidentally stumble into it. HM would be only available for lvl 80 characters and thus all foes are lvl 80+.
All mobs would receive special abilities that make them dangerous and more challanging. For example Centaurs having a perma-speed buff and skills that make them charge long distances and trample anything on their way. Ettins would swing their clubs faster and if they hit you, you won’t be standing up again without a stunbreaker. Skelks would be impossible to kill because of regeneration if you don’t burst them down in one go or reduce their healing by applying poison. I’m well aware, that some Veterans and Events / Areas will be a lot harder for one class than for another. However HM isn’t meant to be soloable even for experienced players. HM would be the first time on open world you are truly glad to see another player helping you out.
Firstly you’d be segmenting the player base, something anet doesn’t really like. Secondly I imagine you’d want special loot? So in essence forcing players into hard mode (especially if it is visually distinctive).
I don’t know, I’d love harder content, but I’m rather holding out hope for hard mode dungeons or raids. Granted this is a passive-I want thread so I guess nothings outside the realm of impossibility.
1. Open world dueling
2. Mounts

“For funs !”Wait, so really you just want WoW to be non-subscription?
But WoW doesn’t have charr or sylvari. I guess you could try and settle for Worgen, Pandaren or Tuaren but the closest to Sylvari they have is Night Elves and other than a vague nature theme they’re not really much alike.
