Actually it is easier to carry in GW2 than in OW for example. Besides few common issues (forced 50% winrate, afkers, leavers, class stacking) i am enjoying current season so far.

40 min is not that bad. Think about it this way: you caused 4v5, chances are you would have never come back. You could have wasted other players time and rating. 1 match lost if someone leaves, to make up for it you would need to play another match = ca. 40 including queue times.

After calibration right? I mean I haven’t played competitively for 3 seasons so I’m pretty sure if my mmr wasn’t reset, it would have decayed to hell. But i still calibrated to 1899 so I think it’s possible mmr was reset. At the very least, Evan said they were ‘soft reset’.

I don’t see what’s wrong with double thief. They are perfectly capable of holding a point now. I’ve been downed as an ele against a thief on point, and before you say I’m mechanically bad you’re welcome to duel me.
Given same skill level (and let’s assume for a second that matchmaking actually works for once) double thief is bad comp and will always lose. The only time double thief wins is when enemy is bad. The problem is not just double thief, take double ele – gl capping anything, double druid – same issue.

They should really nerf d/p, it is a brainless weapon set with zero flaws, blind thru blocks, interrupts, on demand stealth, one of the best auto attacks if not the best and promote skill less gameplay with ghost teefing and black powder dodgers
l2p other weapon sets, d/d is great, staff is kinda op, s/d needs work and there is always p/p for the unskilled ones.
I main teef and i approve this nerf.
^^Another person that doesn’t play at higher tiers in pvp. If d/p is so brainless and broken why don’t we see it rolling over everything in Pro League and why do people still throw tantrum when they see double thieves on same team?
The reason why people cry for d/p nerfs is because they can’t beat it on their hipster d/d buils. I am all up for buffing other sets but it is just stupid to ask for nerfs for only set that keeps thieves somehow viable in pvp.

The only spammable thing thieves got in HoT is dodges and i think every thief would agree to better alternative than lol dodges that everyone is very sick by now.
Also, fun fact: i played core whole season 1, eventually somewhere at diamond in s2 i was simply forced to swithc to DD. You know why? Due to absurd amount of AoE, generally strong spells on short CD and reveal on demand. If CDs were longer and reveal was put on really long CD i could actually play core again.
Despite the “spammy no CD” nature of thief spells you complain so much about thief is only class up to date that actually have to manage ini (CDs), manage Cds on utilities (because those are still pretty long), watch out for positioning and time their spells well unlike rest of the classes that can just spam away and forget and get carried by passives.

D2 is fine as it is, it doesn’t need any changes.
DP3 – as someone mentioned above, thief is already ini startved. DP3 is fine as it is once again.
BP doesn’t need a nerf – it is tiny aoe with has very slow ticks in comparison to other spells in game. And it has pretty high ini costs. No, just no.
Buff to staff 5 range? Why…. Also, once again, thief is already in starved. If anything staff 5 dmg needs reduction.
I don’t agree with sb changes either.
SB2 does decent dmg, it is just projectile speed is slower than snail.
Why remove sb1 multitarget?
Sb3 evade + stealth? Bit too much no?
Poison field is great for cleaving target, i don’t think it should be removed.

Rebound is must have in raids, pvp is not only aspect in this game. Frankly, some raid mechanics are overcome by using timed rebound (see Xera buttons).
Other classes have very crappy elite skills that are not used in ANY mode.
It is not must have for raids, the only time I would say it’s even close to must have is on gorseval as insurance for if someone went a bit to hard on the damage during Ghastly Rampage. I dont know any class that does not have an elite that is never needed in a raid except necro and possibly ele as quite often we don’t need rebound.
Only reason you might need rebound on Xera is if your eles can’t DPS for kitten as you can just rotate to the next button.
Yeah sure, if you run qith qT you might not need rebound, for your average group you do. People always go down on something (hello KC, Gorse, last phase of Sab or Matt etc.)

Here is problem: Anet customer support does nothing about verbal abuse in game. I have been harassed whole season 1 and 2 simply for playing thief and not switching. Things i was told were bad, like realllllllyyy bad ( i would get instant permaban if i posted screenshot of one of such “convos” here) – despite all reports i kept seeing same people every day in matches.
You know what happened when i tried to bring attention to the issue? Imagine you get robbed, go to police and officer beats you half dead – yeah that.

It won’t be countered any worse than it already is though. But this is a very nice amulet for them so you’re right that there’ll be more of them.
the only counter ive seen that works is high damaging aoe usually condi (necro does well here with staff) my warrior struggles to no end to just land a single cc and i have a ton of them. when their cooldowns are burned they just dodge away and hide until they are back up (which are really short) and yes im timing everything to try and land in the single frame you have open.
Do you know how frustrating (or rather near impossible) it is to fight warriors on power thief? Yeahhhh…… get the taste of own medicine. Condi thief is still way easier to kill than condi war – 1 CC murders them.
Frankly, i would be more worried about other condi classes using this amy.
actually i do. do you know what every thief has told me since day 1? thief is not a 1v1 class. its a team player unless you go staff. if you go staff youll eat warriors for lunch.i might main warrior but i play thief revenant necro and lately a little bit of druid (though i suck bad) today i decided to try staff thief instead of dagger pistol. assuming my aim is good and i land hits they die in a couple. endure pain goes up and i avoid them until its down and dps hard. perma evade condi thief is cancer. skullgrinder is op as kitten. but so is every class atm. theres a reason we arent in ESL.

That is absolute lie. All thief utilities have CDs, steal has CD, stealth spells have CD. Weapon skills are resource based and ini is not endless – ini regen and usage is CD and it is global over both weapon sets unlike for other classes (imagine if necro used staff 5 all his scepter skills would be on CD as well – this is how it is for thieves).
Also, thief is only class in entire game with weapon CDs (ini) not affected by alacrity and which puts them in disadvantage in overall picture.
I also would like to point out that main damage for thieves comes from AA because due to repeatable nature of other weapon spells Anet nerfed most of them to the level of utility.
As far as topic goes: yes, we need longer CDs, especially for highly impactful/aoe spells. Atm it is just fire away and forget meta and i am really tired of it.

@Cynz, power mesmer is represented by rare hipsters every season. It’s just not as stupidly OP as mesmer’s other builds were/are. Power mes was viable s1-s4 but ofc nobody was going to play it with the other god mode options mes has/had.

Not trying to dumpster the convo, but that doesn’t logically follow at all. If the issue for new players is in the entry point, no in-raid tool is going to help them find a group.
What will help them find groups is proper social tools, like guild finding, and proper social skills like accepting some form of leadership role and starting their own runs like players before them have.
This game needs story mode raids with less rewards and easier bosses dropping KP. So even if you are new player, at least you can prove that you have general idea about how the boss works.

If every build is equal in 1v1, then the build with the best mobility will dominate.
Stronger 1v1 builds need to have drawbacks in either teamfight or mobility. While teamfighters and mobile builds need to give up some 1v1 potential. This is the only way to balance.

Was doing TD Meta event (EU servers) just now and whole map (60+) people were all booted to character selection screen (according to squad chat) at the same time and obviously all map progression was lost, no loot.
According to our commander it happened 3 times now in TD today. Fix it please.

It was bad design. Having skills that do not miss ever is bad design.
I would say the biggest design flaw was making a heal skill that does almost as much damage as it heals. It is a heal skill that should be it’s primary purpose. The other issue is having a now excessive amount of counter play for this skill compared to other heals. It can be interrupted like most other heals, additionally it can be dodged, blocked, reflected, blinded (need to test), or just kited and waited out. Even with all that it still heals for a low health to cool down ratio even if every charge lands.
It also ignores endure pain and revs have 2 heals.

1. Poor build variety, so many parts of each class not even used
2. Skills glitching with the map or bugged
3. Conditions vastly outperforming power builds
4. Bad PvP system. Newer games have tried pip system and quickly changed it.
5. Terrible interface. We really shouldnt be guessing (or “feeling”) when our skills are off cooldown. I suggested a small progress bar at the bottom of each slot that indicates the time left on the other skill that shares the same slot. Maybe changes colour to when the skill is off cooldown.
6. Still no ingame voice chat system. Honestly there is no excuse for this, there is an MMORPG released in 2009 that has it. I dont think people understand how huge this would be for PvP.
7. Constantly destroying and over buffing classes. I dont understand why this happens
- Guardian used to die to thieves, even S/D thief. Guardian should have been given some sort of mobility impairment skills or buffed the spirit weapons to keep up with base thieves, instea you created a no brain thing like trap dragon hunter that should always kill thieves.- Constantly nerfing Revenant without fixing the bad stuff like hammer, glitchy skills, Salvation trait line, Ventari, Jalis. No stun break on Mallyx or Ventari. ridiculous heal on ventari.
- Pushing eles to pure support tank then to uselessness then to slightly more manageable uselessness.
Honestly after switching my main from necro to thief then to revenant, I thought if I could still mantain my playstyle on Revenant i would probably stick around despite the foolishness the studio feeds us every patch but after the change to unwavering avoidance after the changes to phase traversal plus the other legends being useless, i think im tired man, its been 4 years of this anti-progress nonsense.
It really sucks because i got invited to a team and was serously considering it, maybe even appearing on ESL but after this patch there is no way.

Nothing stops you from playing on a team. If your team doesn’t want you because you play rev/thief/necro then you don’t want such team.

Devs consistently nerfed all ini based and stealth spells – all what is left is AA (which got buffed lol).
Backstab (and frankly most stealth attacks) is not worth it due to lack of dmg – it gets so heavily countered with abundance of things like reveal on demand, passives, blocks, invuls, aoe, perma prot etc. You actually get punished if you try to land backstab so why bother anymore?

DHs (not guards) are FOTM atm. Easiest class to jump into pvp with probably and most overtuned atm – so yes, they are more than fine.
If you don’t have HoT, you might consider engis (but they are relative hard to learn for new player), warriors (relative easy to learn and give plenty of room for errors).

The ICD did almost nothing to the meta build because of how it plays. It’s almost always better for D/P to not bother with a backstab and instead just AA from Shadow Shot. The ICD hurt non-meta builds much more substantially, particularly D/D power, since its only source of good damage hinges on the stealth attack. Which since BV got its stacks reduced, prevents setup on even CnD, causing in most cases wasted initiative + no stealth and even in the event it lands, the backstab will typically miss and go on ICD, which cannot be casted again in most cases since the ICD is applied after the ~1s of animations of backstab.
Every facet of running venomshare got objetively nerfed, from damage to utility to group utility to control to even the application AoE radius. The prospect of building into SA for sharing venoms is a total joke, and the major benefits of building into VS such as major group healing and might and CC all got nerfed.
Like I said, the weak sets and builds got nerfed, but not really what’s already in the meta.
Actually the change does hurt meta builds. Example: all those passive dazes/blinds, aoes prevent you from getting backstab off -> you are locked out of AA, low on ini (or need to save it for interrupt) and you need to break blind and/or cleave body – jk CD, enemy got rezzed. Nerfing underplayed weaponsets is extra icing (beat dat dead horse harder, yo). The change overall is just beyond stupid given the current state of the game. What a joke /shakehead

20 sec CD, 6 sec duration, 0.5 sec cast time – if you land the spell on enemy, one of their equipped trait lines will be disabled for 6 sec.

A necromancer damage is low and it’s only utility is boon corrupt. leave a necromancer build LF can be dangerous but always lesser than leave alone a DH, a Warrior, a Reve, a Druid or even a Tempest free to cast it’s skills from range (expecially a tempest with the staff, that cans eriously inflict a insane amount of AoE damage with staff Fire 5, glyph and lightning attunement overcharge, much more damage than a necro can do.
And yet EVERY match im in EVERYONE says focus the necro first. No one says focus the DH, or Warrior if there is a necro in enemy team. Rev is a toss up. But still more often than not they say go for necro rather than Rev.
DHs are just stupidly overtuned atm, you can’t bring OP class/build as argument, cmon now, and warriors just have insane survivability and don’t oppose as much threat as free casting necro. You would be surprised but i like to focus druids and eles a lot because if they are only support enemy team has in fight then it is better to take them out quickly and rest will die w/o peels/heals.
