Dwayna is pretty close. However, “OP” specs efficiency does increase over time, just not nearly as much. In the end, OP should always be greater than balanced. When I fight a skilled player running an OP spec (as in on my level) I will probably lose simply because the spec is stronger. He knows how to do everything perfectly and I know how to do everything perfectly, but his spec is just straight up better. I’m specifically thinking about MM necros btw.

He was serious. me and angel if I dare say are about equally skilled and fought a few times in yoloq, though I think he won more (I play glass guard) its still pretty even. “dodging” combustive shot though lmao that’s kittening hard to predict.

Once a very long time ago I was playing on my guardian as green team. I was in EB near red spawn and I was getting chased by about 10 from the blue team. Being the genius I am I saw both shelter and renewed focus were up so I decided to visit the legendary defenders and got close enough then combos both skills so I wouldn’t get hit. Somehow about 7 of the 10 got nailed LMAO. After that the other 3 gave up chasing. I didn’t stick around but I wonder if they died trying to res their buddies.

Oh and a much much more recent one when I was playing glass guard (as I currently do). If you ever played glass guard than you know groups of people standing in a condensed area is the best moment in life. So I I’m approaching a sentry point where I notice a group of 5 standing capping the sentry (all 80s but no food). I immediately get my Shield and burst ready and go in and “drop the bomb”, immediately downing EVERYONE. I of course nearly died to their auto attacks but after they were all dead I jumped on their bodies for a good 5 mins before their Zerg rolled me, after which I got jumped on and laughed on!

People don’t seem to appreciate the pure amount of skill it takes to manage the abilities available to you while in plague form. Besides, it’s a toggle so you don’t really need to spam it.

You get rewards for the winning team after getting forcefully volunteered. And it really doesn’t matter that much anyway ..

risk vs reward is very balanced in guardian.. I feel like that build you were running is extremely tanky but not really enough damage to make it effective imo.. I don’t know what problem you’re having, that’s one of the tankiest dps builds for guardian you can run.

Thief is all about outplaying the others yesterday i was playing p/d ZERK (yea not cond) for fun and was just killing things even pw thieves…. so easy to predict unless they are really good as shad, sizer or other top players but then they play well with any weapons set.

Dont blame a skill for your lack of experience. If you die try to see what you did wrong and what you could do instead. Get better is the most OP thing

p/d is a super strong 1v1 spec even on zerk so youre not that impressive, also doesnt say much since it counters s/p

also i play guard and i don’t lose to them but the difficulty of beating even brand new thieves is ridiculous. It’s easier to play than hambow and spirit ranger combined..

kitten yesterday I was going for maximum dmg in one hit I was landing 20k shield of wraths with 5.5k attack and 70% dmg increase qq

then make the limit like 5 because it takes about 5 matched to figure out the game mode

I wouldn’t want a rank limit since a lot of WvW players are really skilled but dont do spvp

The only surefire solo actions are sentry slaying and capping ruins.

If specc’d well and good at your class, it’s possible to solo camps and pick off stragglers; though both activities are much more effective in groups of 2-3.

You’ll find WvW frustrating because it’s meant to accommodate large scale combat; and you’ll find yourself ran over by superior numbers quite often.

That being said, small groups are often the most effective, working around the zergs/blobs and doing the small things that add to victory.

I can’t help but laugh at the way you said “it’s possible” to solo camps if specced etc.. tbh it’s just about as difficult as killing a couple tower guards.. I know you mean no harm but hHa

From what I have seen is a server only starts to play “for fights only” when they are so badly beaten they don’t even want to try.

I think every server has commanders that have that for fights mentality. I miss the days when you were considered a bad commander for heading to the opposite side of the map to follow orange swords when you don’t even own the keep on your side of the map. Or when you see both server fighting in one corner of the map but not capitalize on it by capping stuff on the other side of the map.

You know, forcing the home bl server to fight 2v1.

However, you get a bunch of whiney servers getting beat so bad they start “playing for fights only” and scurtinize those who don’t (even though they are playing the game as intended). Thus promotes this “too cool for PPT” group because there will always be more losing servers than winning.

On the other hand, you could be winning so badly you don’t want to bother with PPT and just want fights, which perfectly describes me and a lot of my server.

The skill level, or the ability to PvP (as player versus player combat in general) of players in sPvP and WvW are on two different worlds… Yet both are PvP…
Sometimes I wonder if people playing WvW ever tried to sPvP…

Lol so much this. I was fairly decent at pvp, but then I took a break from WvW and for like a month all i did was constant duel servers and tpvp. After that i came back to WvW and feel like ive put on some god mode hack lol. I’ve died like 10 times in the past 2 months, 6 of which i got zerged down. (Roaming 4+ hours a day)

you run a cheese bunker build. Enough said.
anyway tpvp is full of condi spam and cc spam which I hate, while I hate the bunker condi perp builds in WvW, it’s not nearly as bad as the point aoe spam.

I wouldn’t have thought Guards are very good for roaming due to the lack of swiftness / mobility. Maybe I’ll have to look a little deeper into that class.

Any thoughts on how Rangers play into that mix?

Please … FC is the king of bag dispensing, although I will say you are getting much better at running away to avoid feeding smaller numbers. Always enjoy my vendor trips after a fight with the Fergzerg, you guys are all right in my books.

Duo roaming you don’t want to just be a boon supplie;, you NEED to apply pressure. Id say a good 0 5 30 30 5 with AH and POV full shouts should do well, but you need a good share of zerker armor. Mix as you please, but just know if you don’t run some decent dmg people will spike your warr and you can’t do anything about it

10 30 30 0 0. Full zerker. Save yourselves, JI, power signet. Medi heal sword focus hammer. Youll burst 10k on sword 3. And same on focus 6 if u dont get hit. + around 3k per AA hit. Once that is all on cd switchand finish with hammer 2. Boom 30k damage in 5 seconds

you rly don’t need save yourself and the power sig. remember that smite condi hits up to 5-6k so running full meds will have almost no affect on your damage, but your survivability should majorly increase.

I’d say warr because it can apply a lot of dps pressure and stuns, which the Mesmer can do but it’s much harder and less effective.
