Null field does not remove the perma cripple the op is addressing. So have any of you even attempted to remove this cripple only applied in Orr and has been recognized as a bug? I believe it’s the risen squires that apply this

Odds are that if null field does not remove it neither will the condition removal skills you are referring to. Logging out or way pointing works.

Null field works by removing it instantly both on you and on other players which was easily tested by meeting a hobbling berserkerderper greatsword Warrior within a minute of entering the zone. Traited condition removal on heal clears it as well. Warrior warhorn I have already stated does it, as does the Warrior shout.

I think I’d just prefer new weapon skills. A second tier of unlockable weapon skills or something.

I think its great. At the very least, all classes should have melee and ranged weapons. Engineer really stand out here, only having 2 different weapons he can equip (pistols, rifle). Yes I know the toolkit has the wrench but kits are really not the same. A hammer would be great and most fitting the Engineer.

But while I can see the use in giving more weapon choices, having ALL weapons on the classes does sound a little weird IMO. Imagine a necro with a hammer. What’s he gonna do, smack death into you? It would look wrong. One of the main things I use in identifying classes when trying to get an overview of the situation is just weapons. Does he have a rifle and plate armor? Why its a Warrior of course. Light armor and axes? Necro. Etc and so on. All weapons on all classes would wreck this and add a plethora of new effects to keep track of. I honestly think it will be overwhelming and confusing.

The smoke effect lag also ramp up my graphics card fans to max speed due to the heavy load (not even going down to 5fps in WvW zerg clashes does this).

In theory, ANet can actually physically kill your PC with this.

As using a condition remover in pve can and does mess my dmg for a useless skill in pve tbh,and can take away a minion i would otherwise need.

But if it removes permanent cripple, how is it a useless skill?

I really dont understand your argument. Its a bug and I have no doubt Anet will fix it in the next patch, we know that. But you can still avoid it. Its not like your character will die just because you pick a condition removal skill. If you do, I’d like to know what skill you replaced because I want it so I’m invincible. Crippled, but invincible.

Oh the horror that you may have to take condition removal to an endgame zone!!! But it cant be done! Those are for only PvP!!!

Lawl. Seriously, change your skills or change your weapons. Even my berserker warrior without traited condition removal, no skills selected for it or the condition removal heal has zero problems – warhorn 4 removes cripple (and give perma-swiftness as a bonus).

Except of course, the 3 perfectly identical borderlands that are available in perfectly balanced ways to each server (each start from the citadel, each start from the left side and each start from the right side).

Now, granted you could make different maps that are fairly balanced (even though players will find exploits and imbalances within minutes), but there really wouldnt be much point.

Fixing the broken functions that the maps where designed for (ie orbs) should be higher priority IMO.

I say remove the golems and add 50% damage to rams.

I say reduce golem damage by 50% and keep the low cost forever (for vendors as well).

Siege golems remain by far the most fun type of siege. Not because of their damage, but because its the only mobile siege in the game. Everything else is static and boring.

For me, this is great news. After just a couple months of play I realized how inappropriate having magic find on gear actually was. In my opinion, this will certainly improve the game overall.

Inappropriate? My PvE set drop me from around 2100>1800 toughness while giving 100% mf with food. All other stats are almost the same ie I loose zero damage (I actually gain damage going from my WvW to PvE because of slightly better crit damage and precision). Equipping it does little to hurt a group.

If they remove mf without giving an appropriate compensation, its going to suck.

Or how about simply removing all speed buffs and have characters move at a realistic pace instead of running around like a bunny on crack?

WvW combat would suddenly become alot more epic instead of being a swiftness fest.

I find it extremely unlikely that precursors crafting is ever going to happen. If its “cheap” like many other unique weapons in the 100-200g range its going to be a big kick in the nuts to everyone that had to buy it at 500g+.

Maybe if its going to cost 1000g to craft a precursor.

Also, no mention on existing Legendaries? Still not going to be Ascended, just pretty exotics?

Happens every other activation with sword 3 even well within range. The other skills usually pop correctly though, have to watch that range.

Heaven is not having to leave the game to find a run. Why should I use an outside site to do matchmaking?

Its Heaven after all, every gaming cloud comes with 2 monitors and enough power to run the game in windowed mode… What, you dont have Ventrillo, TS3, Youtube, Dulfy, GW2 forum, GW2, GW2LFG, server events, WvW live map on your screens at once? How primitive!

Why would you use it? To not have to type LFG ingame, for one. To have a full group in less than a minute of self-joining players due to gw2lfg being seen by all server populations rather than just a single zone doesnt hurt either.

WoW’s LFG tool was fantastic. The moment I never have to say LFG again, is the moment I’m in heaven.

I havent said lfg in game since the gw2lfg site. Its fun in heaven.

The standard client for GW2 on an ipad would make it overheat if it got into any kind of combat. It’s not designed to take on that much ‘heat’ (excuse the pun).

There’s a reason big- kitten heatsinks and fans, even water-cooling is used on decent gaming rigs.

No it wouldnt, because it would be problematic to get an x86 application to run on an Arm cpu in the first place.

You can probably run GW2 just fine on a Win8 tablet (not the kittenty RT of course). There is a difference between toys (iPad, iPhone) and toys (every other hardware in the world).

It’s like 50% of the mobs have absolutely nothing compared to normal.

50% drop rate (ie you get nothing every other mob) is normal.

Easily done on my mantra/bunker/reflection build. 2K+ toughness and 1.5K vitality combined with mantra healing mean I can stand my ground and still outheal multiple mobs. The supervisor is no threat when unbuffed, Guards are brushed aside (their stun is worse than their bite). Scouts are nasty as they keep chain blinding you. I generally take out them first. Cabalists are about as high priority targets. Quaggans are fun though, the poor cuties get plowed down.

Of course it take longer than any DPS build, but then again they would also get pounded if they make a mistake.

I just hope they dont mess it up.

I want freedom to control the LFG (like on gw2lfg) but I fear Anet will go for the dumbed down version where you choose a dungeon and click a button then you get into a random group.

But I’m not really that worried. Assign the same person that coded the WvW queue system to do the LFG queue system and no one will ever get into a group anyway.

There’s really any point in arguing feedback here, the fault is Anet boss design and in particular, their attacks.

Lupi isnt the only one that does this, there are plenty others. These specific kinds of overpowering attacks should punch through both reflect and block. We got dodge, harder difficulty wouldnt hurt.

Hey I can barely count the number of fingers on my hand and still got 7 skillpoints left until I have everything for Bifrost due to being lazy, but I do know that greatswords are up to ~30s on the buy orders. But maybe you didnt toss in two handed weapons or crafted them, I dont know or care.

I see the value of legendaries. I have the Twilight. However, I am contemplating about the Mjolnir. The requirements are as egregious as legendaries but without the “accomplishment”. In fact, it will cost more to craft than some legendaries. It’s rare but the ele conjure hammer also shares the same skin. idk…

… Your post didnt explain how you see the value of legendaries.

Put simply: There is no “value”. It doesnt give stats boost even though I think that legendaries should be classed as their own, better tier (ie Legendary, one tiny notch above Ascended) and not mere exotics. The visual effects are not in any way worth the expense and time invested – I seriously doubt even hardcore farmers will say that even if they want the effect and they play just for that goal. You do get an achievement but its a tiny one. Hell a Legendary should be like 200+ acheivement points!

That said, I just bid on The Legend.

Expect the scavenger hunt, when it comes out, to be extremely time consuming; enough so to make the current prices on the TP seem reasonable.

I expect the “fun and innovative” so-called scavenger hunt will actually be a new Mystic Forge recipe requiring a Charged Star (needs 1.000 Charged Lodestones), Dungeon Stars (requires 1.000 tokens from a given dungeon), Ectoplasm Stars (requires 1.000 ectos) and a corrupted weapon. The “scavenging” will be grinding for those materials and tokens in order to craft the precursor.

I think you got it all wrong.

1 ecto star would be 250 ectos and you’d need 250 ecto stars for a precursor. So its 62500 ectos you need, which seems more reasonable.

Sidenote: 36K items at an average 20s price… That’s only 7200 gold. Oh dear. Unless those 14 precursors was all Dusk, its still a loss.

I would say this: If you earn 50g in a week, spend no more than 5-10g on the toilet. Some days I run around for an hour or two just gathering mithril/wood to stack up crafting materials (hilts, blades, dowels) while of course doing a few events in between for those rares. The ori/saplings locations are the main guides to how you move and vacuum the ground for mats. This way one can cheaply make rares to toss in when bored (just need to buy the T5). Its the way I have got both Dusk and Dawn out of the toilet for relativly low cost. I honestly believe that there is some sort of DR on the toilet as well – toss 200 swords in, you wont get anything but rares and crappy exotics, toss 4 swords in and oh look Dusk fell out.

If you got 400g and throw 200g worth of items in the forge in one go… You’ve got 1% chance of becoming happy and 99% chance of giving up on life.

Tanky classes / builds

Guardian has a couple of skills that improve ressing other characters, not to mention the AoE healing you slap down around you at the same time. And a tanky Guardian can do quite a bit of damage.

Yes you do have less HP than a Warrior, but ask any Guardian and you’ll find that’s not really an issue. Get 2000+ toughness and even a Thief will be tanky.

Thing is, a Warrior is very fun and can be incredibly tough with sheild/mace for example BUT you have little in the ways of assisting allies with stuff like ressing or healing. Shout healing is weak compared to what a Guardian can pump out while still being usefull in many other ways.

Depends on how you define “heavy AoE fire”. No class can take a prolonged pounding from 20+ focusing on his position. Guardian/Warrior doing invoulnerability and stability at the same time would be the strongest in that position, but then again whoever you res will be dead far faster than you can res them.

Any class can have a very tanky build and gear. Necros for example make some of the best tanks, despite only having light armor.

Or they could just increase and invert the capping timer based on how many is within assault radius of the keep.

Right now, keeps are capped in seconds by 30+ groups. The more people you have, the faster it caps.

Imagine if 5 people capped it in 1 minute, 10 people in 5 minutes, 20 people in 10 minutes and 40+ in 20 minutes.

Who says it shouldnt? Golems are BY FAR the most fun type of siege both to use and to go up against.

Why? They quicken the pace of siege. They require logistics to move around, mesmers to portal them and supporting players to cover from attacks. They can be reused. They can be used as a “vehicle” in fights to spice things up instead of just plain boring players. Etc and so on.

The most fun times I have had on EB was when Anet bugged siege and only allowed golems.

I wouldnt mind if they reduced the cost and damage of them so that they are as common as the rest of the siege equipment. I mean the Omega golem can still be “rare”, but the regular Alpha golem should be seen everywhere. In fact Anet should give us a Beta golem as well (support, healing, anti-siege sheilds).

You noticed just now that PvE is 90% of the achievement system? Lol.

Just focus on a couple of achievements each evening, then go WvW or something. Jump puzzles are generally easy points, especially if you can get a guild Mesmer to go along with you. Hell why not use the entire guild and make something fun out of it? I am sure there are plenty in the same position. Just pick a time and an achievement.

I know this at least for light chest armor:

Actual Radiant Vambraces (full effects): Winged (crafted)

Just choose whatever, you got a high chance it will look terrible either way.

Depending on which chest armor you have, radiant will vary from ugly as hell with no effect to pretty as in the preview complete with shiny effect.

ANet is just toying with us now, this is so buggy it should never ever gone through QA. And it wouldnt surprise me the slightest if the “proper light” version (ie small white colored gloves without the particle effect) is what ANet want light users to have, and once again shaft everyone but heavy users when it comes to good looking armor pieces.

I would answer that no skill is intended to scale keep walls and allow people inside when they havent breached the keep, but then again they designed thief teleports this way for some reason that’s completely beyond me (Mesmer teleport for example doesnt work the same way at all).

Players will no doubt report you either way.

Yeah chat cooldown on death is pointless. The only way to solve the problem is to limit vision. For example pointing the camera down while only showing say an 8×8m area around the player, stop rendering objects (ie render only static items such as trees, walls, etc but not players), use some sort of shader effect to blur the entire screen, etc and so on.

Oh you’re not even at the most fun parts yet, ie the rest of the personal story.

Its real simple if you realize one thing – the Thief is a bad PvE class. What you can do is use a shortbow, kite and hope for the best. At low level your gear is kitten any way you look at it.

The Thief.

The class that is next to totally USELESS in a WvW zerg

They have the fastest blast finisher and massive aoe i have seen cluster bomb hit 6k+ on my theif. Dagger storm can put out some serious damage. Their also quite useful to res downed players in stealth.

Well if your cluster bombs hit for 6K the problem is that you’ll get steamrolled by the enemy zerg and you’ll be a rally magnet for the enemy. The only reason guild groups win is because they simply do not go down. Once you get that ball rolling… you’re finished.

Conservative thieves are quite effective skirmishers alongside the main zerg, but inside they are useless, yes. Their bow do offer a blast finisher but when it comes down to it the guild group would probably rather have a hammer guardian doing it.

In my experience its still very simple: up to a full 5 man group, thieves are great fun. Above that, easily replaceable with better professions. TBH it would be fun to see a guild having an “all thief” event with 30ish thieves running around just for laughs, but I dont think its going to happen.

Third, I think it could help to change the female norns’ idle/walk/run animations just a bit so their stance is less delicate and contrapposto and more wide, sturdy, and weight-bearing. (As a bonus, it might help with some clipping issues too.)

I thought they already had that? At least my Norn look alot more menacing with a staff, holding it on the side while having legs wide apart and chest puffed up, compared to say a human which looks like she’s about to start a poledance.

Lol well yeah the battle of Bluevale was… Hilarious. It was like a game of whackamole. When we went in there was only a few enemies and the guards so of course we went for easy wxp. But JS really wanted to keep Bluevale as much as we wanted to take it. How long did we fight? 10 minutes? 15? 20?!?! I cant remember. But I do remember killing the same Warrior like 5 times. Everytime we had killed all in the area a guard or scout popped, when we killed him 5 new enemies had come and when we killed them another guard or scout showed up again and it just went on and on and on and on.

But we got it

SU had 3 people there.

Spartas tag is SPRT btw.

Unfortunetly they have patched the pre 75 dungeons to be obnoxious, tricky, overcomplicated and ridiculous. Levelling via dungeons is boring as hell.

A zerg in no way will stay within a couple of meters of each other – they scatter and swarm as soon as they face a hard target, which mean the AoE cap probably isnt even hit most of the time. Are you talking about guild melee trains? Yeah… They’re going to win regardless because they arent stupid enough to stay in unlimited AoE from an inferior force.
