I would like Anet rather to do something with those toes sticking or rather clipping out of most armors and outfits….
I don’t purchase and use majority of them and will not, because of that ugly detail.

Besides, what would the flags be? Who decide? I know exactly which servers would have a flag with 10 arrowcarts stacked on top of each other or the back of a crying quaggan running away. SFR flag would have 1 pixel for each player so it would just be a single color anyway.
I was actually playing TODAY. Sorrow’s Furnace pinned us at our starting area. We couldn’t leave without dying. How much fun is that? It isn’t. It sucks.
In the matchup of the first pic in OP? If so it shows exactly why the other server dominate. When 2 weak servers spend their time spawncamping each other it doesnt even matter if there is a dominating server in the matchup. 3 server battles was done so that players themselves could try to balance the fights. If they dont and instead make it even more unbalanced… tough kitten. Players will be kittens.
The only thing Anet can do to help is if they remove the 1-2 bottom tiers and spread these servers out on weaker servers in the tiers above. which is highly unlikely to happen as they have never given any regard to WvW server balance in 3 years.
You dedicate everything you have, right down to the food buffs, to healing others. And still the best you can push out is a 900-1k poot. That just proves my point.
You still don’t get it. It’s 1000 for 5 people every 5 seconds, purely from a sigil.
Well, no its not. 1000 for 5 people yes, but its kitten cd with 30% chance. Which means that in reality its more like 1000 for 5 people every 7 or so seconds… if you get lucky. In theory, it could trigger after 20 seconds if you are kitten out of luck, lol.
Sidenote: I am curious why 5 seconds as in just “s” cd is censored. 5s cd!!!

My experience with the Necro is that its the only class I can play good in sPvP as a well/spectral superbunker, its an amazing force multiplier to small or big WvW groups when played as a zerker (there is a reason its part of GWEN) and it can roam decently enough (I prefer spectral regen builds). In PvE I find it even more resilient than both my Warrior and Guardian when facetanking groups of mobs which combined with AoE skills make it excellent for completing events. For leveling, all I can say is get the dagger, learn your Death Shroud and go down zerker trees first (that 50% damage on downed mean you can surf through PvE on your back if need be, lol).

We would need a map editor for that to happen, which is highly unlikely. This isnt like BF1942 where players made the mod tools and forced DICE to recode the game, lol. Those glory days are over.
At best, the community can make a concept using other tools. Do it with Unreal Engine 4 for bonus points
I do agree that the limited maps make sPvP rather boring, especially if you consider that an average round is maybe 8 minutes. Rotations happen fast. Anet even cripple themselves by not having the same maps in ranked and unranked.

If you plan on playing GW2 after HoT, yes its “mandatory”. Its silly to think otherwise. Imagine buying WoW today and just getting the original, because why the heck do you even need the expansions?!
I am hoping that Anet will use price to leverage player acceptance… selling it for $50+ would be kittened. but you never know.
I’ve noticed that there are some players who get very very angry in PvP.
As they do in every game. GW2 is nothing at all compared to most others. Report them for verbal abuse followed by block.
Personally I find the team chat spammers worse though. The guys that goes “OMG THIS TEAM SUCK!” because you lost a 4v5 in the very first mid point clash (quite often with said zerker spammer dying within 2 seconds, enabling him to actually chat while tanks contest the cap for a minute after). For some reason, it never seem to occur to such players that the other team may actually by some miracle of planet alignment or something be better than your team.
Sometimes, when I’m tired and feeling mean, I make it my personal task to be utterly useless after someone says that. I urge others to do the same. You dont need the victory. Its a game, who cares. Daily sPvP can be done in a single match. You will get far greater satisfaction from seeing them loose, trust me.

While I prefer scaling PPT with the total player populatation there are two things I dislike.
First the per map character that means if no one wants to contest your homelands it will just tick with 50% (more likely 25% since one server has a hard time getting the total population above 25% when nothing is happening). I prefer to count in the total population over all 4 maps.
Secondly jumping from 25% to 50% and from 50% to 100% abruptly. I prefer a smooth scaling in this case.
I dont quite understand what you mean with the first part. Yes, if no one contest it, it will tick at 50% or lower. Thats the point of it not being contested. If you hold all the keeps and enemy is outmanned, its not a warzone. If the enemy hold all the keeps and you are outmanned… Its still not a warzone.
The abrupt jumps is because its supposed to be simple. Each border having three states. If you start to make it a smooth curve, its going to be incomprehensible. 34.9% ppt on red border, 78.2% ppt on green border, ugh… Seeing a boon saying “This region is at war! Full world points are earned from held keeps, camps and towers.” or “Only skirmishes has been reported in this zone, world points from keeps, camps and towers are halved.” is much better than one saying “There is currently 65 people in the zone which means points are earned at 72.45% rate of full”. Which do you prefer seeing in an immersive MMO?
GW2 already have a similar “boon” notification in the borderland bloodlust system, another reason that 3 states is simpler to understand in the current game.
But I digress, Anet isnt going to change WvW in such ways. PPT is “working” as is and has been for 3 years. We will see enough changes with automatic upgrades that will take many months to settle…

Just remove PPT full stop…….only award points for capping/defending, killing enemy players…..you get more points for taking upgraded stuff and defending upgraded stuff etc etc…..

You dont, that’s how. It would require insanely complicated math, comparing players, comparing kills/deaths, comparing… well, everything. And that’s just a single keep. If you dont do that, then 1 traitor thief will come, slash the gate once, then his buddy inside the keep will go “yay I defended the keep!” after 2 minutes.

When deaths become a major factor in server vs server points, you start feeding a toxic atmosphere among players. They are the reason your server is dying. Stop dying. Stop playing with upscales. Upgrading a tower and subsequently loosing it will mean feeding points to the enemy server. Dont have enough people on the server to protect it? Dont upgrade it. Ever. Better to have the enemy take it, some idiot upgrade it (lol) and then retake it when no one is defending.

That many catas on hills is common but spending 600 supps on something that 100 supps would do twice as fast… thats dedication. At least I only drop a few catas as rams by mistake sometimes, lol.
Heh, I changed my ele to full cleric with water and and healing stack sigil just for fun. Never play the darn thing anyway (cant handle the attunements).
Sure it heals great in small groups (I think I saw around 1000 healing with the sigil), problem is you become so useless at everything else. Cant even take down the crappiest of camps, lol. Its only real use is 5-10 man pug groups. Anything above and a commander will zerg it. Anything below and you want to focus fire. Guilds groups wont need or want it.

I think OP just posted the thread about 3.5 years too late, when people where hyping up WvW and how it would play.

Your crafting level is saved I believe, you just change a fee to change the two currently active. So you dont need to create another char for it.
That said, its easiest to have multiple crafts over multiple chars. Said it before, saying it again – the best money spent in the gemstore is not on fancy parade armor, its on extra character slots so you have 1 for each profession which in turn can learn 2 different trades. That will give you all professions, all trades, max fun.

Not really but the human eye can only see 60 fps anyway.
Someone just had to bring it up. The human eye can spot and process a flash image up to around 220hz. On a monitor, frame movement depends on pixel movements, which is not the same as “seeing” fps. Your eye does not see in fps. You can have a static image at 1 fps or 1000 fps and the eye couldnt tell the difference. In a high movement scene 60fps on 60hz vs 144fps on 144hz… It most definetly can.
One of my biggest suggestions is that ANET create some kind of penalty for guilds who switch servers in order to be associated with a higher “T” rating. It leaves those of us who want to stay on a server and WvW, endure crappy numbers and lose a lot. It takes the fun out of WvW.
If they wouldnt be allowed to leave, they would probably stop raiding instead and you would still endure crappy numbers and loose alot. You are pretty much asking Anet to imprison people.
Anyway, its always been fairly pointless to suggest even the simplest of improvements as Anet always does their own thing and rarely visit the forums for feedback or revert changes when they break things (masteries breaking siege like the insane damage on superior arrowcarts). Currently, its extra pointless. Alot will change with HoT which means WvW is going to be different.

Capture camps, kill dollys, kill guards, kill roamers, plenty of things to do solo. You only need a few people to build a ram, take an unguarded keep. You can scout for bigger groups as well.
People are so spoiled nowadays, thinking you need an entire blue tagged zerg to do anything. Seriously, a full border will come to a grinding halt if blue tag leave. People just dont know what to do. A larger WvW server wont help you figure out what to do when outnumbered, people are just as apprehensive.
They should allow titles that are unlocked by wvw rank, I think.
1,000,000 WvW ranks unlock all titles, sounds reasonable.
At 200%+ you need like a gazillion pieces to salvage to get a few percent. Its just painful to do, ugh.

The thing is, though, is you can still apply regen as well as heal for 1000 every 5s. I mentioned earlier that I use this with my cleric staff ele, its pretty awesome for assaulting keeps etc, you PvD and the water sigil heals the people on the rams for quite a bit, while you keep Healing Rain and Geyser on them on CD.
I use Delicious Rice Balls, Superior Rune of the Monk, Superior Sigil of Benevolence and Aquatic Benevolence for a total of 57.5% additional healing to allies, which makes the water sigil heal for 1000 every 5 seconds.
Yeah buts thats you focused on that purpose. 99% of the zerg wont be. A sigil have to take the place of another sigil. For frontliners, thats often double energy, fire and bloodlust. Which sigil would you replace for a tiny, tiny heal on classes with 0 healing and no outgoing traited?

Right now, the natural state of everything is paper.
Your goal is to upgrade it… by controlling the map, controlling the supply lines, and putting in time and money and defending when necessary. Getting a structure upgraded is an accomplishment and with it a sense of ownership. When the enemy fully fortifies something on your borderland, it shows that effort was put in. If the enemy has everything fortified, it means a long-term domination of all the supply lines as well as the structures.
Or in reality, long term outmanned on the enemy side…
If fully fortified structures become too common, all Anet really have to do reduce the cost of normal siege, making it a viable option to plop down more of them instead of superiors. Why shouldnt a fortified door be slammed by 3 rams by the melee party, 3 catapults off in the distant safe zone and 3 more trebuchets behind them? We dont currently have “proper” sieges like that because we just plop down 3 superior rams that does more damage than all this combined, while costing 1/5th as much supplies.
Superior siege has reached as high a god-like must-have status as the commander nowadays, any force not having either cant play. If passive upgrades leads Anet to rethink that… it wouldnt be all that bad.
Well yeah but only because they don’t allow match up threads here. Good discussions do occur on gw2wvw but only rarely and the match up threads are the same stupid insults thrown every week by the same people to the same people.
That’s the point. A matchup forum without insults would be as boring as a WWE match without them faking it.
Still think Anet should reintroduce matchup forums but hide them behind a giant “YOU ENTER HERE ON YOUR OWN PERIL, WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SANITY!” sign you have to agree to.
I feel warrior is boring because i dont get as many unique (non boon/condition buffer skills) like other classes get.
Honestly this one of the reasons i hope the elite spec has some kind of magic to it. Cant be a coincidence that all the magic oriented classes (including thieves) get unique skills but i am stuck with stupid passive signets and a couple of lame banners. Only skills i would put in the unique category are physicals.
Well tbh that’s why I think the Warrior stand out from other classes and part of the reason that make it fun. Its so… standard. I mean, its a Warrior! Heavy armor and bog standard weaponry and skills. I wouldnt want any magic on it. The only thing I would like on the Warrior is that it should be able to equip a third weapon (no stats gained though, just the weapon and sigils). That would increase the flexibility of the class alot and imo fit the warrior perfectly.
Its 24 second cd with trait I believe.

There is already tactics for disrupting commander focus and its all about cooperating with other classes (how odd). Thieves and Mesmers provide stealth to commander to drop target.
I dont really see how Anet can fix this or why they would want to. Its a tactic players use, “exploiting” the weakness of other players that scatter like chickens if the commander dies. The commander in GW2 is currently being raised to the sky as gods gift to man and if he dies everything stop. I think that’s a bad trend. The commander is important, yes, but good groups should have backups. Even better groups know what to do if there is no one that has command.
Besides, doesnt everyone want to stop zerging? That’s what’s being thrown around the forum every day, this promotes zerging, that wont stop zerging, zerging is horrible, zerging zerging zerging. That’s what mindlessly following a tag and not being able to think for yourself if its gone is, right?
And then suggestions like this to strengthen zerging comes along.

If you want premade chat bubbles (like yelling “I’m down!” or “Incoming enemies!” with the push of a button) that’s already possible by using third party application. I cant say how to do it though, because that’ll get me infracted. It always does. So figure it out yourself.
I personally think they could merge EU/NA servers with a minimum of muss and fuss if they just would plot it out, and make it happen. That fist month would be insane, and it would also break up the stagnant matches pretty quickly, especially if they reset Glicko before they merged.(make them daily resets the first month to see how it played out)

When ESO was released, they only had US servers and let me tell you – it killed the game in EU. Literally killed it and one of the major reasons ESO failed. PvE was laggy and delayed while AvA was laggy and completely desynched with 20+ players nearby.
The very thought of someone wishing this fate upon GW2 is… mindboggling. You’re either going to ruin the game in the US (having everyone on EU servers) or in the EU (having everyone on US servers). There is a reason why games split up regions. You cant play on a server that’s physically in two places at once.

Thanks anet for making gvg’s a pain with the new stability change….then this hurts smaller groups trying to do anything in wvw. I posted my other reasons on page 6 but this is ridiculous…why fix something that isint broken.
We asked ourselves the same question when the buffs was introduced, sigh…
Also, their removal is a major boost to quick GvG scrims on normal borders. In 20vs20 and one side wipe in round 1, the buffs are making it effectivly ~24vs20 in round 2 (fortitude+strength+bloodlust). Ie its kicking the player that’s already down.
Well, assuming that’s what GvG people want. Maybe they dont.
I’ve suggested giving the players that payed to upgrade it some money per tick for as long as it’s held, that idea is pretty much screwed with the new changes.
You could however reward the guild that claims it in the same way, but make it so another guild can override the claim if they are running more active buffs.
This would encourage people to defend more, help keep +5 and buffs running, and prevent troll guild from holding a claim on keeps
that would br totally abused cross server.
If the supply of precursors from collections is high enough.
Supply wouldnt increase because of that. I have little doubt that precursor hunt weapons will be accountbound…
Unless they make precursor hunt practically impossible, prices should drop by a fair bit. The real question is the limitations? If you can gather all precursors once in a reasonable time span, then that will satisfy most players which would reduce demand on the AH precursor ALOT. If you only can make say one, then the impact wont be so hard.
If AH tradeable materials is needed, then the prices will balance out and players will raise the cost of precursor mats to match the current precursors (if nothing else out of greed, heh)… But that would probably ruin the economy, imagine if its a common material :S

I was disappointed.
my guild gets wiped right in fron of the keep. we respawn and demolish the fully stacked zerg with no problem. a little buff from a guardstack is not going to make a difference. very often i have no stacks and still win 1v1s vs stacked players. e new player will lose and die a lot in his first few weeks in wvw anyways. guards stacks are not the ones to blame there.
If you win 1v1 vs a stacked player when you have no stacks and no food… then either you brought the perfect counter build by sheer luck or you where the better player (or he was upscaled). That’s not the situation that fortitude/strength is unfair in.
Imagine if YOU had the stacks in all those 1v1 wins and they do not. Like beating on a baby. You clearly didnt need them if you still win fights. But if someone offered the stacks for free and it would have made an easy prey even easier… you would have taken the stacks, right? If you say yes, then that’s exactly why the stacks shouldnt be in the game. If you say no, that’s exactly why the stacks are pointless and not needed. Take your pick.
My beast arrived today and I’m picking it up after work, gtx980 4gb, i7 4790 4.4ghz overclocked, 16gb 1866, liquid cooled, and rounding the corner with a 3TB hard drive, adding a 4tb secondary in a couple of months. I can’t wait to play on Ultra.

What kind of SSD did you use, lol? I have been running a Samsung for about 4 years as main, with a Plextor secondary about 3.
