One without the tired Necro green and black animations and hud overlay. New minions for it would be awesome as well. Of course, I wouldn’t hold my breath after what they did to poor Jory… Still shake my head that someone in the art department thought that was a good idea.

Did you read the wiki? The wiki has that “Early necromancy was related to – and most likely evolved from – shamanism, which calls upon spirits such as the ghosts of ancestors.” Even the GW2 wiki has “Necromancers draw on life force and use it to strengthen or heal themselves and others” So there you have Spirits, Ghost, Life Force, and support. This juvenile blood and gore theme is just one recent interpretation. The game itself is morbid and dour enough and should evolve beyond it.

Yes, the DPS build that needs nerfing. Nothing should hit that hard with PvP stats. When thieves can’t hit as hard, that’s out of balance.
I’ve always been on BG. I don’t care about bags. I prefer to capture enemy properties and get achieves, rather than bag accumulate. I run with BG zerg to help win. I like to win and play game as intended. I think GW did a great job creating its game.
Last nite, only one commander was on when I played. After running with the zerg team for hours, he kicked me and refused to let me rejoin.
Don’t bother spending 300g on buying a pin as some have suggested. If you want some real fun transfer to Maguuma and kill the person that offended you from the other side. Serve up some good old fashioned justice will be very gratifying. Far more gratifying than coming on this forum and posting.
You’re even one of the few PPT players left on BG and they don’t even appreciate it…..

The root cause of the bug is still being investigated. Until this can be fixed, scoring the end of the week’s round has been changed back to using accumulated War Score, instead of the new Victory Points.
We’ll have a fix for this as soon as possible, and will look into what will be done with affected Glicko ratings and EU’s current matchups. Until then, one thing that’s known is that not ranking the end of a round by Victory Points prevents this bugged behavior where a round ends, then ends again 5 minutes later.
WHOA WHOA WHOA…. you cannot just changed things around. You either tell us right now that this will be a War score week or a Victory point week. Not a “well, it may be one or the other come the end of the week.” If this is a War Score week, then it has to stay a War Score week until it’s over. Not having you change the rules around after the fact.
Long story short, the player population is getting toward the bottom of the barrel. I tried two matches tonight and the first had a rage quitter mid way. The other match I was stuck with a 3 man and it had two Ambers. Like really Anet, really? If I try to play it’s like just giving away Pips. Not even worth it….
btw… my account has about a 57% win rate in Ranked. I should be getting decent pairings but, I shouldn’t be used as a carrier for Ambers.

Adapt you say? Here’s another issue with PPK being TOO high. The third place world can feed so many points to the first place world, that the second place world cannot catch up no matter what they do with PPT. The Omni-blob shouldn’t be rewarded.

The constant transferring and stacking every 2 months isn’t healthy. That matches themselves aren’t that good because it takes a lot of time and effort to balance coverage to coverage between the worlds in a Tier.WvW has become far more EotM the past 5 months.
You could say that the problem there is that people want to pay Anet to win at WvW by bandwagoning a server with a higher winning potential, and they immediately decide to leave that server as soon as it gets split apart, which nets Anet tons of gem sales.
I think no movement was better for the wallets of bandwagoners. Personally, I think bandwagoning would have a much harder time being a thing if they changed the pairings more frequently, but that would make Anet lose the money they net from people who pay to go where they will win.
Or, Anet should leave WvW populations alone and remove the server locks. Which would be going back to having Map Queues as the controlling mechanism for WvW populations. Then remove transfer fee’s so we can balance the Tiers ourselves. As we had done with more success than this frequent pairing.

Yet, I received moans, groans, and back talk for pointing out such obvious behavior. If you folks want unlimited fights, decreasing the penalty for death accomplishes this. Players will then YOLO carefree all day long. As long as death counts more heavily toward the score outcome, players will play intelligently and avoid fights.
People already avoided fights long before PPK was introduced. These people now just use PPK as an excuse for their innability in fighting and refuse to improve.
Yes, there are those that simply don’t like to fight or die. Now, we have those of us that are using it tactfully and mindfully.
I think skirmishes and ppk do not work together. I see more and more people run away from fights, especially when the skirmish is within a few 100 points of each others and they are worried to loose because of dieing too often. This especially applies to servers with a bad k/d ration. they run away all day now.

Ya chris, right now PPT is more important than PPK, and you are talking about buffing PPT higher in making Upgraded structure captures worth more…Which favors nght capping even more.

JQ and DB are now open and TC closed but guess which server has a link for the next 6 weeks. Good job anet, you absolutely have to review how you link servers.
And maybe be smart enough Anet to look at population numbers before changing the links? JQ was in a good place until you chopped off a chunk of our population. As if that was helpful at all.

Every time I read these garbage QQ threads about DH’s, it just makes me log in to kill most of you.
Though I will agree the Dev’s do seem to dislike Necro’s. GS Reaper is just “what were you thinking???” bad.
What’s getting annoying about this whine thread is that everyone’s lumping DH’s together, as if we all use one build. I was whispered the other day from an enemy DH and they asked how I healed for so much. The simple answer was, I’m invested in healing!!!! So when one DH hit’s like a truck, they are built for it. When another DH heals for75%, they are invested in it. None of them can do everything, it’s simply multiple variants. This thread is way off course when it comes to the exaggerations of what a DH can do.
btw, double Melee DH is the first double Melee build I’ve ever enjoyed. Four years and finally feels like a Guardian!
I hate fighting DB sometimes … they just PPT the hell outta some nights and run when on sight of opponents. Then other nights (guessing other commanders) they fight like dogs and it’s fun as hell… but it is hit or miss some days. I guess this goes for all servers. Even mine. But the game is absolutely more engaging and fun when you fight each other, versus running back and forth back capping objectives. That’s just plain boring. Ah well off to PAX I go anyway, have fun this weekend all. MAy the fights be with you.
Just having a conversation on the soon to be raising of PPK and how it’s likely going to reduce our fights. Because the more risk that is involved with death, the more pensive and avoidant will our behaviors become. If you want fights, you have to make them rewarding but, not be risky. This way player feel free to engage in a fight more often. That’s pretty much what we have now, PPT to instigate a fight, and a low PPK to reduce the risk of death. Allowing us the feeling of YOLO and engaging in every fight we can get into.
As the mixed Borderlands is adopted, i think Anet should work on the 3rd borderland map after the WvW score overhaul. I hope it can be finished before the next expansion.

This type of shenanigans has been going on for the entire league. The topic is misleading as you’ll be just as likely to get matched in Conquest with a full premade. Better to leave both Conquest and Stronghold checked and Q at the same time. Was it in season 2 I was stuck in a rut of getting in a match with two 4 man teams. There were characters with names like, “I lose more”. Then in the next round I was on the other 4 man and watched this player swap to a character that was named something like, “I win more”. Again, it’s nothing new…. sadly….

Wait… to the OP, how many Traps do Druids/Rangers have???? For DH, I’m actually having fun with a tankier version of DH. Double Melee with blocking is fun to run. Though damage output isn’t that much at all.
If anything needs nerfing, it’s Warriors damage right now. Far too many attacks that hit in the 5-7k range. Then Condi Shatter Mesmer needs nerfing. Remember balance isn’t sPvP only, nor is it conquest only.

I agree that entry into WvW should not be gated by players. Having to join a player owned Guild is exactly that kind of gating. If these Guilds were owned by Anet, then what is the difference when Worlds are owned by Anet now? The only difference would be the lack of transfer fee’s to join.
They didn’t do much about feedback and the problem with healing NPCS.

As I used to play PVP, I stopped playing stronghold; Because you could heal the NPC so that they were almost unkillable.
1 month ago, after beeing reported for 7 months, the problem was the same.

Players can find other players they like playing with and join their guild but can get stuck once the servers become unlinked. Servers are really a dumb concept that are impossible to balance at least in every RvR game I have played.
Or, this a concept for you, only recruit from your own World??? You know well in advance that linking will change. So you can’t complain after the fact.
Since they are not fun to play with/against, I’ll call this thread the nerf list. On the nerf list is certainly Warrior, Mesmer, and Druid.

Because the Dev’s believe slap stick or “trolly” things in game are funny. The way they added Moa to the Bloodstone Fen map may be funny but, it gets real annoying, real fast. Which is pretty much where Moa is in game in general. It’s just a huge “un-fun” mechanic that sucks the fun out of the game through sheer annoyance.
btw… in most circumstances Moa is not evadable. You can’t keep a constant eye on every Mesmer and Engi in a Zerg to know when to evade it. Even in 5v5’s you can’t successfully dodge most attacks.
Seems like an odd move, will only unbalance tier 1 further.
If they are an NA guild they would be better off moving to JQ.
We have poor NA coverage and good SEA coverage.
They could move us back into T1 and find plenty of outnumbered fights.
Our map chat said their guild asked us for gold to move to JQ. Given they aren’t moving here I suspect our server didn’t pay (which is fair enough given they are server hoppers).

OP, you won’t get an honest answer about the Druid being out of balance from the peanut gallery. They don’t want their shiny taken away from them. Are there a couple of Druid builds that are bad for WvW, absolutely.
Yes, I’ve fought that YB Druid far too many times now. I would have won a 1v with him just a couple nights ago if not for his thief friend showing up at the end. <shakes fist>
The Dev’s must be made aware of builds like this Druid that are over tuned. Crossing fingers we get a proper balance patch this time.

I’ve been soloing my Guild Hall and it’s level 31 with all 2nd tier upgrades. It’s doable if you try and be patient with it. If you had an existing Guild you’ll have some things Grandfathered in when you claim the hall too.

Ele only got the highest dps against enemies that stand still in pve. In competitive modes staff just plain sucks. Every decent competitive player know it’s all about burst output or steady condi pressure, anyone can dodge out of a staff ele slow animation. And compared to other classes with stealth and insane burst staff ele doesn’t compare.

For FPS, yes since HoT GW2 has been becoming more and more of a resource hog. I noticed sPvP matches to still be the leanest areas of the game. Just simple things like standing near WP’s causes resource consumption to increase. I’m guessing there’s a lot more passive calculations taking place in the background.

A few hours ago I was watching BG and TC scrimming and not caring at all about DB being in first. T1 is not balanced, it’s simply that they are letting DB win. This way DB gains Glicko and it will put the T1 wall back up for now.

Dara, I don’t mind having more complexity to WvW combat. Having professions or builds better with siege isn’t a bad thing.
It’s not really a good idea, especially considering what everyone have already say about it.
But i think it’s possible to made something similar without create a balance issue using the Tactics space where now we have the banners this way: using the scribe you can create a new tactic called Golemancer control stick (with a cd of 30 min and an availability of 10 min) that work exacly as a banner, but with the only function to slowly repair the sieges in the area that you select with the first skill using 2 mini golems summoned from two different skills (with a long cd) that you can move like a ventari tablet. Clearly the two mini golems are going to be affected from direct and condi dmgs as from healings and boons, and in addition they are going to have a pulsing stability for avoid to be constantly interrupted from every cc.
I’d like to hear even the opinions of others about this idea
wut? Ok, the “Repair Hammer” is something they could add easily. What you just asked for is probably asking for too much. Also, not thrilled with more tactics since enemy infiltrators pulling the Tactivators is way too prevalent.
It’s why I’ve always said that when balance goes out the window, the best remedy is greater mobility. Players will balance themselves out as the map queues are still the end all, be all.
What we needed was simply less tiers and new labels.

There is no “ts issue” to clear up. Push to talk is the preferred default on JQ from experience and testing. There are several verifiers, like myself, available to give Commander’s push to talk if asked.
Thank you for reaffirming the reason for this thread, that JQ has plenty of available space.
Players that enter WvW to just flip a node for a daily, to gather, to craft, and to use the TP, all count in some fashion toward World Populations. Next is the issue of taking up spots on the maps. Especially when map hopping forces need to get in fast to defend.
The folks talking down about this build seem to not realize this is a Condi build. Every Dodge and Evade is pumping out condition damage. Meanwhile, if you try to hit them, the evasion of your attack procs a really strong passive heal and a condi clear. The build really starts to shine with Orrian Truffle Meat Stew.
I did forget that Monday was the 4th of July.
So this will be happening tomorrow.
