I would by it sooner or later, depends on how much money I have at the time. $50 was a little too extreame for HoT but I pre-purchased it and I would probably do that with next expac too if the pricetag is the same. Also, games seems to be more expensive nowdays… I mean even Indie aplha games costs about $20. I dunno. I got my moneys worth with HoT, it was a great expansion in my opinion, it is how they handled the things that came after that I am a little sad about. But still the money I spent on the game has been repaid by Anet with all the ammount of entertainement they have given me.

I don’t. I think it is funny for 5 minutes and then dead content. I just don’t understand why everyone raves about it. It’s a bad parody on a different game genre and I don’t think the devs should spend any more time on it at all. It should have stayed dead and buried imo.
So, please don’t try to speak for everyone.
To be fair, while I agree it is wrong to speak for everyone, you yourself just said that everyone raves about it, but you still don’t think the devs should spend any more time on it. So while you aren’t speaking for everyone, you do seem to be asking the devs to cater specifically to your needs at the expense of everyone else.
I’ll concede the “everyone” thing. It’s a good point well made, although you have continued the bad habit!
My problem with SAB is that is a jokey mini-game that is in danger of outgrowing its remit. We’ve got calls for more levels, permanent access, more gem shop items. We’ve got people who want to spend all of their time playing it instead of the main game – the game they bought. SAB is not GW2. It started as a joke but it’s in danger of pulling dev resources away from the real game. and we know how short of resources they are. If you step back and strip away the hype, SAB is shallow and quite rubbish. This is, of course, just my opinion. Maybe everyone else but me feels differently, in which case I’m in the wrong game.
I love SAB but I agree with some of the things here.
Why I do love SAB on the other hand is because I am a classic Nintendo fan and I love 8-bit music and the retro feeling that the devs have given it. I think it should stay as a festival content and only be worked on when devs feel that they have time over for it (if that ever happens).

I didn’t mind how HoT turned out but I was and is against expansion pack over all. I rather have LS2 content and a few extra small LS1 content to make the world more alive (I really miss that). What bothers me the most with the expansion thing is that there is almost no new content between expansions and that is horrible. With HoT we have almost had no new content so my fears where pretty much true.
So answer: Short stable bi-weekly updates with content.

I really like SAB but I do not think I would enjoy it as much as I do now if it where permanent. I like this festival theme of it and I think it should stay like that. If it where permanent devs would have another part of the game to monitor and pit down dev time to bug fix every now and then and after a month some players would start to complain that there are no new levels for it and we’ll on and on it goes. SAB is a good lifeline for Anet to use when players are starting to leave :P

okay, seriously. there’s been about a page per hour for the past day, why is this aspect of the game so important to people?
I too can’t understand why some are so angry for this but what I do understand is that alot of people are angry becouse they backed down on a promise. It could have been the raid, it could have been the LW it could have been any content that Anet has promised to deliver as a part of the Expac and everyone would have been angry with them. Legendaries is probably the least hard hitting promise that they could have terminated, but there are some people who like this kind of content and bought HoT mostly for the sake of Legendary weapons.
That people are angry, I do get that but what makes me sad is that there are so many rude people who are cursing and blaming Anet for being all kind of monsters without any facts and to little information.

I wanna know what they have to say when this weekend is over, I myself didn’t/don’t care for Legendaries and didn’t think about promises broken but now as I see fact that actually promises are broken I do not like Anet’s decision at all. This isn’t something that will or should go unnoticed.
I don’t care for an Legendary weapons and I rather have devs working on the expansion but the expansion does not have a promised deadline this year (What I know of) so to not break any promises why not taking devs from that team? I think that most of us players have no idéa of what is going on behind Anet’s doors, so please tell us why this was the best decision.

This game has one of the best naming rules of most of the MMOs.
Let’s say you wanna name your character to Lars but the name is taken, then it is very easy to name the character to Lars A, is that taken well go with Lars B and so on. I myself are always going for a sir name and a last name like Lars Fjollbonde and if that name is taken I try with Lars Von Fjollbonde as an example.
People always have problems inviting me to squads but it has never been impossible and no one has ever complained.

As to the OP, usually don’t vote on these polls but today I have. I vote for LW content. For me there is no need for Legendary weapons. IMO all legendaries should be removed from the game, people only walks around with the same weapons all the time… To be Legendary weapons they are even more common than the basic weapon you get from the start.

Of course I am also saddened we won’t get new legendaries (aside from the bow) anytime soon. But this way, you can hope to craft all the ones we already have?
Joking aside, if they decided to focus on something bigger, let them do so! As Mo said, we are ALWAYS complaining about lack of content (not just a shiny new skin), and now they’re focusing on content (leaving skins aside), we’re not happy. Are we such spoiled rotten brats?
While I agree with you regarding the gemstore flooding us with skins (some could be delivered as collections), the rest is just pure emotions talking.
Think, do you want some new shiny greatsword, or some story that would bring you to new regions? Imagine: just the 6 devs that were working on the new legendary collections could create new maps. So, which one do you pick, a sword or a map? I would honestly content myself with the legendaries we have now if it means Cantha or Elona (or even new and unknown regions!), yet in the end they will be released. Not as soon as expected, but they will in the end.
Also, there were things that were advertised as coming with the xpac but didn’t make it, but we also had new things that weren’t advertised: new system, new animations, new bases… The xpac wasn’t only to add content, it was to modify GW2 as we knew it for it to become better. Now the bases are set, maybe things will go faster?
I’ve been bored because of the lack of content, just like you. I’ve been upset by the new WvW, just like you. But they are saying things are changing, they talk about reverting back to Alpine Borderlands, they are talking about focusing on rich content. I rather have them work on expac 2 (It is not expac 3 it will be the second expac) than putting dev time on (in my opinion) useless grind for skinns that clutters the screen more and at that are usually pretty ugly anyway. Legendary weapons are content and guess what Mike, it will give us more content than your pathetic living story. It took me a day to go through Season 2, how long will your Season 3 last?
I supported you from GW1 and now you have destroyed the last bit of hope and respect I had for your company. There should be grounds for a compensation because I payed for legendary weapons and I am not getting them. You know for players like me grind and farming isn’t content. Story, maps to explore, new skills, new weapon types (Skills), Elite Specs and new mechanics are content. The weapons/skinns are content in it self but counting the ammount of time it takes to compleate content does not count as content, many MMO developers are putting up walls that you have to grind for months to get over just too make us play the game longer. Anet made clear that this is not what they want with the game and I loved that, with the release of HoT GW2 started too look more like all other MMO’s with alot of grinding, new stuff you have to grind over and over again to get (like the festivals shoulder armors), events that takes hours, raids and no update to the living world. This game started crumble in my eyes. With the AMA and these news I have once again hope for this game.
It is sad to hear that People who have hoped for more Legendary weapons wont get more and I feel sorry for you all but it changes nothing to be rude to the devs.

Fantastic news! I am very happy with Anets decision. I am not working at Anet and I don’t know how much difference it will do but I like how O Brien says that they will aim more on the LW content. This is what made me live GW2, not stupid Legendary weapons that I have to farm 24/7 to get my hands on. I have played since release with only a few weeks breaks and I have not ever got a legendary not even a Pre-cursor.

Well I do not want Anet to use more important dev-time to fix something that isn’t very gamebreaking, there are some stuff that is worse than this.
No offense to you, but I hate this argument with a vengeance. I’ve said so on several threads. Of course there’s stuff worse than this. Whatever somebody considers worth doing, there’s somebody else who thinks there’s something more important. Can we just stop with this argument already? It’s completely useless… just like minor/major sigils when you’ve reached 80.
I have leveled up 12 characters from 1-80 and when I have I have always got them Major sigilis and runes just becouse what you said, they are so cheap. They are not the best but they are good enough for leveling.
And what then? What do you do with the dozens and dozens of sigils and runes you get after you’ve levelled to 80? That’s the point of the thread.
If on an instance or a meta event, if you prepared I don’t think you will fill your bags that fast. Do not salvage stuff if you don’t have to, wait until you are at a merchant.
That’s generally good advise – salvage after. But that’s not the point of the post. Whenever you salvage, the point is there’s a kitten-ton of useless sigils and runes produced. I’d also like to be able to sell these with the click of a button. To add my suggestion to the pile, how about a combo box where you choose a quality level (e.g. “superior”) and all rules/sigils below that quality level get sold when you click Sell Junk. If you want some specific ones back, you’ve always got the merchant’s rollback screen.
1. I don’t feel that that argument is useless, just as people are saying that this is the most important fix in the game I wanna be able to say that yes it is a thing that needs a fix but I rather have Anet Devs putting their devtime on something else as it is not that of an big issue to me. 3. The point of the post was that the ammount of min and maj runes and sigils are stupid and that they are worthless and takes up alot bag space and more so that there should be a fix to this. I think that my point works very well with this post as this is a suggestion to what OP (and others) can do while waiting for a fix to this. Anyhow I like your idéa.

Looks pretty dead to me, diamond NA prime PvP q = 5 min+ solo.
Tried to do vinetooth prime in OCX/SEA time, not even a map with commander tag or taxis. Had to wait till NA prime right after reset.
Maybe overall the game pop is fine but man if you don’t play NA prime (or EU prime for EU), good luck getting anything niche done.
PvP = Minor ammount of players got to diamond or higher resulting to long waits. Long waits made lots of high-level players make F2P accounts to start over and try without Elite specs and also players take a break resulting in wait time being higher in the top.
Vinetooth = This fight is not very popular anymore and there are other Meta-event that brings higher rewards, keep in mind that there are zergs of players on alot maps doing different meta events all the time. As long as I am using the LFG I do very rarely find an unpopulated map with no commanders (I can not talk for Vinetooth though as I havent done it since release of HoT).
With the ammount of ‘The new MMO that will be released tomorrow will make players leave this sinking ship’ threads, I am surpriced that there are still so many playeers playing it still. Or… Could it be that actually it is true that the vocal players who shows a displeasure in the game actually are a minority? Wha-whe-what!? No! It can’t be!

What are you running instead of Slick Shoes and Elixir Gun?
Sorry to be a little of topic.
I am almost ashamed to answer that question. But I use it for the “Spare Capacitor” toolbelt skill so I use Shredder Gyro. I have Tried slickshoes but it does not give me that edge that I want, also I am always so against meta that I rather use skills that are said to be worthless.
Also, shredder gyro is my Traps and mark disarmer :P
I will take the Elixir gun in concideration next time I play but.
Remember I do not care to be meta or to be by the top players, I know though that I am a good player and I do very well playing this build.

This does not work with medic gyro…its a bug or intended?
This is incorrect though, it does work on the gyro as I use it all the time… It is just like the turret, it has to be on CD to work. In other words, you have to have it destroyed before the trait can work.
That’s why as a Gyro user when I use the healing I always destroy the gyro right after it’s used (if I am in a fight I know I need the automated medical response) and I don’t destroy it if the trait is on CD.
I am playing a full Gyro build and it works fantastic, as I have said in many threads in PvP I beat almost every Meta scrapper builds on my skill level except the new tanky ones.
I wouldn’t mind that they buffed Gyros a little bit but I hope that they won’t become meta as I realy dislike being like everyone else.

I think the GW1 sword is wrong because if you look at the grip the one one wielded in GW1 rounded but the hilt is straight. I wouldn’t hold the rounded part as it would ruin both my grip and balance of the blade and also as above poster said the spikes would also be impractical as they would be in the way of making an actual cut.

I am going to start with saying I do not play the Meta Scrapper, I play a build I have come up wityh myself and it is full Gyro build and it works fantastic at my skill-level. I make mashed potatoes of most classes (inclided Scrappers and necroes) though necros are the ones I have most problems with. If I rotate my skills in a bad way or get interrupted to much (Wich is pretty easy to do this season) I can be dead in seconds.
Now I have fought against tanky Scrappers and tanky tempests and they are the only builds I can not defeat and I do agree with many that Scrappers are very OP but if Anet where to listen to OP they would shoot Scrapper further down than Warrior and Thief is at the moment.
For my build I don’t use ‘2. Perfectly Weighted – remove stability’ so this change would go uneffected on me but still make my build viable.
‘1. Biggest offender here aka Rocket Charge – remove leap finisher’ I use this skill as one of my healing skills and yes thanks to my healing gyro my toolbelt skill is a water field that moves with me so I get a 3 times healing from doing it but I do not see any massive healing from it. I usually use it when I am in a pinch and heve to get out of battle, then I deselect target and rocke charge away, usually standing in place atleast fightint a DH or a Reaper (You don’t wanna be close to them too much and as Rocket charge (For me as I don’t have kits) can’t be canceled I would jump in to my own death if I don’t plan my charge but one AoE skill from a DH or a Reaper will nullify the amount of HP healed from 3 leap finishers in the waterfield. Also keep in mind that Rocket charge is the only gap closener skill (atleast my build have) so if I need to reach my enemy in time or something I have to sacrefice this skill I use for secondary healing.
I can agree with this ‘3. Rapid Regeneration – halve the amount of healing but increase scaling.’ even though I am totally in need of this trait myself and I don’t use healing power amulet but I think all secondary healing skills should be affected more by healing power and not by a base value.
Well ‘4. Add cast time to Sneak Gyro so it cant be used under cc’ This one would ruin my build totally as it’s main problem is that it does not have any stability or even Stunbreak skills (I know sick right!?) but it has all gyros that can be used instant even if I am CC’d in any way, so that is my only defence when stunned (and also that I do have a trait that lowers my CC’time). The thing about Gyros is that I can use them instantly but I can not blow them up if I am CC’d and for me that is a great problem, atleast for my Healing Gyro becouse I need it destroyed and on CD as long as my trait is active.
What I am trying to say is if you nerf all these skills and traits you mentioned then you will break the whole Elite spec and probably the whole class, remember that that is not a good direction for Anet to take. It’s not that you see 5 scrappers in a team 40% of every match you play, Scrappers are OP yes but not the only class that is OP so by nerfing it to the ground is not a good solution.
But on the other hand, all your nerfs are aimed at only Elite Spec so if all classes get’s massive nerfs on their Elite specs I am game as this will hopefully make core builds usefull again.

It’s hard to just go ‘I want that that and that’ because in your own mind it might be the coolest thing ever but I reality (in actual game) it might not work as great as you expected.
But for the enjoyment and the hopes Maby Anet gives my ideas a go here they are.
1. A level that is quite small.
2. Your spawn will be just a jump skill away from close cap.
3. Mid will be in an lower level that you can reach by jumping down and either take damage or trait to manage the fall and do class specific trait mechanic.
4. All three points will be reachable by foot thanks to ramps.
5. There are no falls out of bounds in the game but you can be pushed over edges to take fall damage.
6. To get to far you will have to take a pretty long way around and as spawn is so close to far mid will be the true battle ground.
7. To make AoE not meta here I thought that mid cap will be atleast as big as foefire cap point.
8. The true mechanic of this level is that if a team does not contest far cap for 2 min your whole team will be stunned for 5 seconds, no stun breaks or stability works.
I know people will hate it but that’s what came up in my head right now

No offence but what I read from OPs text is that s/he is pretty new to sPvP or haven’t play much PvP atleast.
The map mechanics in the game is fantastic and 5vs5 is the best number in GW2, they had 8vs8 before but it was too much even if I want it back it is not atleast a ranked mode.
How long someone survives comes with build and player skills, sounds like it works as intended as long as a tanky build can’t tank 3 players and not die. I am far from a pro but I have never seen that this season.
Also if you go 1vs1 on all 3 points you will have two more players who doesn’t know how to play.

No, I’m making a genuine guess at the amount of content added by HoT here.
The base game offers a lot of PvE content, from open world to dungeons to fractals. HoT adds a tiny bit of open world, no dungeons, no fractals.
The base game offers a whole game mode that HoT does nothing for (WvW).
What HoT adds compared to what the base game starts out as, is very little by any objective standard.
It does not change much but Vanilla game didn’t have fractals, Silverwastes, Dry Top, Southsun cove, 3-headed worm and much more.
My friends who started playing GW2 got to level 80, didn’t bother with story, looked for End Game content and quit after about a week
They started playing GW2 HoT, they are still playing it.
Now lets ask them ‘Do you feel like you got more of the money spent on GW2 Vanilla then you got from GW2 HoT?’
The money isn’t always represented in the amount of content but in what the content is and if it interests you or not. If a small amount of content can keep you interested for a year it’s as good as ever.
Me? Well I feel a little bored now, I am still waiting for LS3 but that is a part of the expansion so if you don’t have HoT then you will not be able to play it.

I get it, I really do. I just think new players are getting a great deal. 2 games for the price of one, while us old players are stuck with no extra goodies at all. But I suppose I will download the core game and just wait for a sale I suppose
I can understand the problem for you but for me who have played GW2 vanilla since release and only taken small weekly breaks I have gotten more than 3 years of enjoyment with content that no new players probably will never get.
Things I have gotten for have bought and played GW2 vanilla.
- LS Season 1 game experience.
- LS season 1 AP.
- LS Season 1 Rewards.
- LS Season 2 for free.
- A neat outfit (That I never use :P).
- The enjoyment of have been able to play 8 Vs 8 in PvP-
- The enjoyment of have been able to play “Raid on the capricorn”, one of the best PvP maps ever.
I can not think of more but I am sure I have earned back these $ that I have invested in the game.

1. Tone down all elite specs to be in par with core specs.
2. Remove PvE from conquest, NPCs that is.
3. Add new (or old) maps to conquest.
4. As alot other say, have a class stacking cap of 2 pls.
5. Remove the extreme amount of CC/blocks/invuln/condition and AoE.

I do like the idea of raids and I really would like to play it more but it is nearly impossible for me. I am trying to get the people in my guild to play but since raid was opened in the game my guild has raided once.
I have been begging and planning for raids but never been able to get enough players. Now I have almost given up.
I don’t care for loot, I play for fun and for the story and I wish there where something for us who can’t raid.Since HoT release I can only remember shatterer remake and copy-paste festivals with no story. I know the dev team is working hard with LS but I have been playing PvP and other games because GW2 offers me nothing I can do. A small teaser release of the LS together with the raid would have been nice atleast.
Yes, true enough this can be hard to organized a raid. Anet didn’t gave us all the tools we needed and it’s a shame. But that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible.
You saw a lot of post in the LFG and in the forum about people like you. Just create another guild just for raid with no representation or just a group of players that you add to your friend list. Just start with a small amount of players from your guild and try to expand with pugs. Each time you pugs try to talk to those that seem good see if they want to join your group and expand like that until you have a decent sized group.
Alternatively, I know NOOB is doing some raid. Last time I checked, they add created 3 squad.

Raids were and continue to be a great idea, and the raid team continues to be exceptionally responsive to player concerns and very open to player ideas. They stand as an example of success for other teams in the company, and the tech that has been developed in support of raids has already been leveraged elsewhere in the game to great effect. As a specialist, they are among my favorite people to work with, and I say that without any influence from the ANet crew.
Raids may not appeal to some people, but they are a great success that has minimal to no schedule impact on the rest of the game. You are not losing an earlier LS3 because of raids.
I do like the idea of raids and I really would like to play it more but it is nearly impossible for me. I am trying to get the people in my guild to play but since raid was opened in the game my guild has raided once.
I have been begging and planning for raids but never been able to get enough players. Now I have almost given up.
I don’t care for loot, I play for fun and for the story and I wish there where something for us who can’t raid.
Since HoT release I can only remember shatterer remake and copy-paste festivals with no story. I know the dev team is working hard with LS but I have been playing PvP and other games because GW2 offers me nothing I can do. A small teaser release of the LS together with the raid would have been nice atleast.

I’m busy playing Path of Exile’s new expansion and spending my money supporting that game.
I’ve played GW2 for 3 years and I didn’t spend 3 years playing, because I was just bidding my time, waiting for raids to come out.
If I wanted to invest my time into raiding, I would go reboot my WoW account. The game is dying, but they still do it a lot better.
I play GW2 for WvW and to chill and have fun with people in casual PvE content.
Both of these elements have been abandoned so far and I guess I spent $60 on an expansion to implement all these systems to serve as vehicles for future content….
…which 6 months later amount to a new raid wing which has nothing to do with why I played GW2 for all this time.
I’m not QQing. I’m just stating how it is. Have fun with the raids, but they are the reason I am not playing the game anymore. I hope not everyone feels how I do, because it’s going to be a really small player population pretty soon.
Hopefully in April, they will have something for me.
I agree to the fullest. But instead I am busy playing Xcom 2 and Final Fanasy Type-0.
In my guild we are over 100 players and “only” about 10-15 online at a time, and we never get enough interested players to do Raid. Iether they are just not interested in that kind of content or they don’t like the idea that we will fail the raid atleast a few times before we can compleate it. Those who have raided before don’t want to raid with the players in the guild who have never raided before and it leads to a bad feeling in the guild imo. I am interested in Raids, but I don’t want to PUG and I don’t want to be forced to use meta builds … But I have a feeling raiding is nothing for me, so until raids was released I was atleast able to do every content in the game to finally decide if I like it or not but as for raiding, I am out before I have even tried it.
I never wanted to but I think I am going to have to Youtube the story instead of playing it, yay fun.
I think Anet is putting alot of money and time on something that the majority of the playerbase is just not interested in or atleast not able to play.

Everyone are rewarded för playing PvP, that’s what the reward tracks are there for. League rewards are for the ones who manage to advance or even has the time. I myself are emerald and advancing and does not play that much due too lack of time but if I got stuck there I would accept that as I am as good as an emerald player. I got to sapphire last season and I plan to atleast get the non-ascended backpack in the future, ascended backpack would be a unexpected bonus because I know I am not that good.
People has to learn that rewards are not the most important part of PvP, enjoy yourself instead and if you can’t, Maby take a break?

No just stop dcing and don’t be egoistlic and think about ur team also if you dc you leave them 4 vs 5 eaven 20 seconds of 4 vs 5 can bring game to point of no return also the game you won after dc you were carryed by ur team of what I understand from numbers

Players who DCs and starts to AFK after a DCs is way worse than someone who leaves match.
System is as good as it could be right now, fix your DC problems and you don’t have to worry about loosing Pips anymore.
If you have a bad connection I would advice you to not play ranked as there is a great risk that you will ruin a good game for other players.

Complaining about necros conditions spamming, damage in reaper shroud and survivability is okay imo but please don’t ask for a nerf on stuff that does not need a nerf at all.
Also about the shambling horror shout, I think (I am not sure) that you can only hit up to 5 targets so it does not matter if you use the skill already surrounded by other MMs, you still only hit five targets and summons 6 horrors.

I just don’t understand why slick shoes isn’t effected by stability. On my Rev, I can dodge, get stab, but still get knocked down from slick shoes, and yes, I was watching my stacks. They were still on me as I was kitten first on the ground.
I don’t use slickshoes so I don’t know but that is a skill that I really want Anet to go through. I don’t think it is OP in a way but there are things that bugs me…
As you said sometimes it feels like stab isn’t helping, there is no tell when the skill is deployed an engie can just deploy it right under you and studdenly you are stuck in one spot for a pretty long time, complaining about DH elite skill? Well IMO this is worse, the only difference is that you can see the slickshoes puddles.

I’ve beaten more necroes than engis though, I only beat two engis this season one on druid (of course) and one on tempest.
I havent played much this season but I have beaten over 30-40 Necroes this season and I have beaten around 3-5 engie/Scrappers this season but I think I have only fought about 8 scrappers this season.
Also I main scrapper(Not meta build) so I may be corrupted :P But for me I have the most problems with Necroes and Revenants, all other classes I can beat with ease (if I am not up against realy good players).
On the other hand when I fight any class 1vs1 I mostly win as it is easier to predict the fighting pattern but once in a team fight a necro can spew all AoE conditions all over and well bb game over. And if there are 2 or 3 Necroes it is like fighting 3 DH trappers but you can not predict, block or avoid the AoEs.
BTW Druids OP? I think they are just mostly cowards as they where when they where the usuall LB rangers…

If they are good players they are hard to kill but not impossible, Eles with healing spec on the other hand is impossible to kill and can heal like crazy and will require 2-3 players to kill, if they had a good rez skill like rangers have or like Mesmers had last season then they would have been the new bunker meta.
(I havent played condition damage build during this season so I don’t know if Eles goes down easy to conditions…)

yea, and what is the point with all these cosmetics like Armor, Costumes, different gliders, Mail carriers and Mini pets… It is just screen clutter, let our characters be like in Halloween clocktower, small balls of light.
For just the same reason a big % of the playerbase is running around with Eternity or other ugly Legendaries (for braging rights) it is nice to run around with a title that shows peope that you have accomplished something you are very proud about or just having a title that fits your character.
Titles are nice in my opinion and it does not need to do anything specific.

I’ve missed around 1 game queue per day over the last 4 days due to RL reasons.
Tonight I missed 1 game, and I’ve got a dishonour buff of 30 mins.
Do you honestly think someone will stick around waiting for 30 minutes just to be able to queue again? I don’t want to play any other game mode as they don’t appeal to me.
Do you guys think this is a fair scenario? Should 1 match a day really be a 10 min stacking penalty?
Every day and every time you miss to accept queue, afk or DC you waste the time from other players and if game started you will ever ruin a full match for some players. IMO dishonor works as intended, every time queue and someone doesn’t accept I get angry but at the same time I feel happy that that jerk who didn’t accept got dishonor.
If you need to go and do irl stuff while in queue you just leave queue .

At least I know I am not running Meta build. I though play Scrapper but I play a build I have come up myself and it is really good as I beat most meta scrappers at my level. But necros are the death to me as my build does not give alot condition cleanse.

Quests? There are no Quests in this game. You mean tasks? They are pretty simple as they are. The way you can know that you leave a task area is to look at the heart bar, if it disappears or changes you are outside that area.

Well, this balance change was in since yesterday. It just didn’t make it in the patch notes.
Which obviously no one noticed, because who the hell actually checks their stats in PvP.
So much for serious PvPers.
I may be wrong but I do not beleave that since there was an update on the game so this was a new small patch, also I noticed how much damage the Bristleback did yesterday so iether it was not nerfed enough or the nerf when live with the latest patch.
I havent been hit by it yet but Chill nerf was not good enough IMO. Also as a scrapper main I do wonder why there wasnt a nerf to scrapper since there is so many complaints specificly about the hammer?

I am sorry but why are people discussing the story in it self? There are lots of threads about unhappiness with GW2 story from main personal story to HoT story. I don’t want this thread to be another one of these. The story is loved and hated by lots of players and I love the story so far and I would like to experience more of it. So my post is about the long wait for the story to continue, not about if it’s bad or good.
Though thanks for the good answers from alot of you, I hope you are right and that living story will continue and not be only expansion content.

Well… Sometimes even this white Knight can complain.
Since HoT was released the only story introduced is the raid and that is only for “advanced” players, what about me? I love the story in this game and I can’t wait to experience the coming story and I have said to others on this forum that HoT is bigger than we see it now as there will be living stories added. Well I am starting to doubt what I said, am I wrong? Is living story no more? Is GW2 going to be like all other MMOs with an expansion once a year and only new story by then?
Living story for me kept me active in PvE every day but now (even though I have lots still to do PvE) I more or less only play PvP and it is starting to get boring. I don’t like to farm and grind stuff, I like story and exploring and GW2 pre HoT gave me that, but now everything is only about PvP and a little raid. I haven’t heard a word about new living world for “casual” gamers (I do like the difficulty of HoT maps) but I am not a raider.
This post is not a call out for a dev response but it would have been nice to see if there are more than just me who wonders what happened to the living story that for me was the best part of the game.

The true meaning of cc is to interrupt a specific skill or hinder a player from reaching a point or just to burst them down before they can heal and more. Cc should not be meant to be just spammed with no goal as it is now. I see your suggestion and I do like it if the amount of cc continues but I would rather that they leave the mechanic as it is and tone down the amount of cc that we have in the game at the moment.

No defence? What about Revenant evades, crystal hibernation x2. Engineers evades and blocks while doing damage. DH millions of blocks while on the same time being able to move and attack at the same time. Rangers perma root, 0 damage for an hour and extreme healing. Eles healing and auras, thieves evades and stealth. Mesmers also got some blocks and evades. And warriors got their stances.
Every class has their active defences and they work really well. I play Scrapper as marauder and my survivability is over the top for a Marauder user and most players I play against has enough defences to make most fights I have interesting. I agree about CC. What some lack defence against is some specific unblockable conditions.
I do agree with op alot. Though in my opinion even though I forgot to mention necros up there, I think Reapers are over the top OP this meta. It is not even a little bit tricky to play it.
