How to play FOTM if you can't join overflow?

Did you try the usual right-click join party member? I’ve played at odd hours and not been able to relog/zone to get into the overflow, but as long as one party member is, you should be fine.

I did see a party member run into a glitch where they appeared on our minimap in the overflow, but he/she wasn’t actually there and wouldn’t get the popup to join the dungeon. If that’s what happened, just try finding another group. I suspect it might have been a regional glitch (US vs EU), but who knows…

First, I don’t believe the wiki is 100% correct. In this specific case though, the # of loot rewards of each type has been put up as 5, and after well over a hundred iterations with hundreds of players on each server participating each time, It’s highly unlikely to be incorrect as someone would’ve at least brought it up on the discussion page.

In no way do I believe that because it hasn’t happened to me it can’t be true. If you read my prior post, I have no qualms with the idea that precursors drop from that chest and have been acquired from it before by other players.

a person can get a precursor from the forge with one attempt, then another player like u will say he tried 1500+ weapons in the forge and get nothing, making a video to prove it :P

It appears you rushed and misunderstood the video. It was not a “proof” against precursors dropping, it’s there as proof that when you receive loot from a chest, it all disappears at once. Not as you claimed in this post:

by the time i switch to my game log tab and took the screenshot, the loots has started to go down n disappear one by one.

Anomalies do happen, but consider this: I’ve never noticed any such anomaly, and considering I comb through my loot every time I hit a chest and always noticed the same all-at-once disappearing, it’s doubtful it hits that often (so maybe a 1/100 chance or something of the sort). The chances of such an anomaly hitting at the same time as a precursor dropping is essentially nonexistent plus the unusual 6th item loot drop makes it even more unlikely. Then considering the chances that of the tens to hundreds of precursors that drop world-wide every day, yours is the only one recently posted about?

At this point it’s clear you’ll defend your lie to the end. I pity those who don’t have the sense to see through this attention-seeking charade. My work is done here, reply or don’t reply as you wish, I won’t be helping you by giving you any more free bumps :P

An exacting punishment of growth on death

in Suggestions

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

Hard to follow all the post-reply edits made to earlier posts, but I’ll take a shot at this.

Downed state already limits growth. Multiple downed’s in a row and you end up with noticeable health penalties, and after the third(?) in quick succession you skip right to death. If that doesn’t tell you you’re doing something wrong, I don’t know what will.

I know, you’re mentioning death, but considering new players will not likely be dying much, this will not limit growth much aside from slightly debuffing the XP/MF/gold people may get running dungeons/fractals post lvl-80 since that’s where you’re much more likely to get suddenly spiked down by a boss. I see your point, but in practice, I don’t see it having much effect overall in preventing/limiting growth.

Call me dense or whatever, but I don’t see how this idea limits “growth” and doesn’t “penalize” you for dying. From what I understand, you’re suggesting that this triggers upon death, so it is in essence, a death penalty. Reword it as you like, it is what it is.

You know, as I approached that same chest today, I thought I’d make a video to prove my point.

http://youtu.be/8UV1mX71weo

its ok bro if you don’t believe it,i still can’t believe i got the dagger from the chest as well

That’s because you didn’t get it from that chest. You got it from a different chest, forged, or bought it. Next time you want to pass yourself off as a lucky Mr. Good Guy donating a precursor to a friend, you might want to fake your story a bit better. Good day to you sir.

I know precursors can drop from this chest, as well as other large chests (e.g. Orr Temple chests); not arguing that proven fact.

To anyone else who actually got a precursor or some other nice exotic drops from this chest, congratulations to you for your RNG victory. I still have yet to get an exotic drop from any chest lol :P

It’s not supposed to be possible. I think Shodori misunderstood your post. The rate most people agree on is about a 20% chance to upgrade the rarity, and 80% to be returned an item of the same rarity. In that case, Shodori’s rather unlucky.

If Shodori’s actually receiving something only 12-14% of the time, he/she must be forging lots of swords and jewelry :/

The color scheme mirroring the current colors of their respective ingots would probably be fine when it comes to differentiating between them.

1) Make more weapons. Nah, they’re never going to introduce any new weapons/skins in the lifetime of the game. (/sarcasm) Any suggestions on styles?

2) Add one (more?) legendary to each type. I highly doubt they’ll be leaving the current # of legendaries the same, especially considering there are multiples of some (greatswords) and only one of others. Any suggestions as to the appearance of any additional legendary?

3) More armors or skins. See #1 and replace “weapons” with “armors”.

4) Add more skills. Culturals, elites, standard, or all? Again, any suggestions?

5)They stated quite early in the development process that increasing the level cap in expansions was a possibility. No news here.

Quite interesting that of all the drops the chest seems to have given you, Spark is the only one visible. Items you get in one shot all disappear at the same time, not one at a time. Wiki also states you get 5 pieces of equipment, a mixture of weapons and armor, yet you got 6.

Sorry, but this really looks staged as if you already had Spark equipped prior and swapped it out with another dagger in your inventory to make it look like it dropped. Too many oddities for me to believe this, sorry :/

ExTribble.7108

Are you kidding me? So someone who has high skill and specs heavily into vitality and toughness should still not be able to tank multiple facerollers? Please, DD is pretty much all eles have left when it comes to PvP, and even that is sub-par compared to other classes who can perform decent damage spikes as well as tank.

And you know, there’s things like stun/kd/chill that can really cripple such a player. Instead of rolling pure dps on someone who can clearly out heal/tank it, try some stun effects so your supposed other 4 present players can finish them off.

I suggest that giving them the lowest base health combined with light armor. That should help. Or rather just buff the other classes so that they are not so outclassed by the Ele. That should also help.

My sarcasm detector might be broken, but hopefully you’re not serious here. We already have the lowest base health and light armor. With equally skilled players, eles are already outclassed by practically all others…

Certain categories of items bug out often when trying to promote them in the forge. From what I recall seeing here on the forums, swords and jewelry in particular are very susceptible to this bug.

There was a developer post a while ago mentioning that this was not intended and a perma-fix was in the works, but we have no clue as to when it will be done.

Let eles use weapon swap in exchange for

ExTribble.7108

and what if there is already over 10 people in the group laying down AOE heals what good would I be to just add to all of that, I would be more efficient in a large WvW group if I can instantly keep switching from long range damage(staff) to short range(dual daggers)

It’s clear to me now that you refuse to learn how to use an elementalist.

Staff example: Eruption followed by laying down Lava Font or Frozen Ground on it to spread might or frost armor (respectively) to the nearby allies is a huge boon to your team when facing bosses. Just this one of many cross-attunement combos (with different weapons too) can effortlessly give your team a dps boost, or give an easy 10+sec chill to allow allies to fall back.

Now let’s look at a Staff/DD combos (in theory) with
Fire Attunement: Two fire fields, requires utilites or other players to execute a combo.
Water Attunement: One ice field, requires utilites or other players to execute a combo.
Earth Attunement: Two blast finishers, requires utilites or other players to execute a combo.
Air Attunement: One lightning field, requires utilites or other players to execute a combo.

Oh look at that, no combos.

The elementalist is not the class for you. Introducing a mechanic that effectively dumbs down the class for lazy face-rollers is not an improvement. Yes, I know you said it’s optional. Doesn’t matter. The class revolves around attunement swapping and they’re not going to change that.

Slowing down while aggroed

in Suggestions

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

Considering the normal run speed outruns practically all mobs outside of Orr, I’d have to say no. Also note, swiftness in combat speeds you up to the out of combat run speed, or extremely close to it. I can visually notice a 10% speed difference easily, and swiftness in combat feels to be exactly as fast as out of combat speed.

Aside from daily kill count/variety, there’d be no reason to spend time killing random mobs you aggro traveling when that time could be better spent tagging huge groups in DEs.

If you want to run away, work for it. Use swiftness & snares. Use knockbacks to create distance. Oh, and that reminds me, kb skills that do no damage (like elementalist’s Gust) will not cause you to be in combat. I assume that giant blue guardian shield skill works the same (Shield of Absorption[?]) So right before getting hit, stop and push that guy 20 feet away and continue on your way.

Also, dodge when needed. Risen putrifiers are the only risen that will pull you (on land), so when one is nearby, watch for when he throws the pickaxe or whatever it is, and dodge it. It’s not like they spam it.

The aggro system is a bit wonky at times, can’t deny it. It is very annoying when you’re well above a mob, out of it’s attack range/reach and still holding aggro so it slows you down. The system should recognize that when a mob can’t reach or hit you from range or run to get in range, aggro should be broken.

Did they nerf ecto salvage rates?

in Crafting

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

Was there any note of it in the patch notes? Nope. So your answer is also, nope. Also, my BL salvage kits have been giving me a consistent 2-3 ectos per rare/exotic for a few days now. Haven’t gotten a 0 ecto salvage in a while. That kind of luck is not likely to be sustainable, so I’m prepared to hit that wall of 10+ salvages with no ectos :P

We badly need a sticky on the top of these forums that says something along the lines of “Please do not post speculation threads about ecto (or other materials) salvage, drop, or other acquisition rates being nerfed/buffed without a significantly large sample size of at least 200 occurrences.” Although it may be high for some solo players, this is not overly difficult to achieve if you have guild members and/or friends willing to participate in publicizing their results as a whole.

ExTribble.7108

As an elementalist, no. I was like you, stubborn and living off of fire attunement only until I hit Orr. That place required the use of snares/stuns/kb to stay alive as a squishy light armored elementalist with low health. Little by little I learned when to swap, what skills to use in what order, etc., and now I’m much more capable of taking on multiple mobs and vets than by just spamming fire attunement skills.

Locking into one attunement and swapping weapons locks you into a certain playstyle, which limits your effectiveness severely. Example: You swap to a staff, locked in fire attunement, and your party suddenly gets hit with a 60-sec poison, fire, or bleed. If you could swap, you could drop a healing rain over probably at least three and get rid of it without forcing them to burn stronger condition removal skills. Instead you’re being a selfish player who’s locked into DPS mode, potentially letting the poor guy who forgot a condition removal skill just drain his health out.

Learn to use the class. Don’t request changes to the class because you refuse to master its full potential. Having dabbled in most classes, the elementalist is the most complex to use in my opinion, as well as the least forgiving when you screw up.

Slightly off topic: That out-of-combat weapon swap we elementalists have been asking for since the BWE’s would be a really nice feature.

^ This is brilliant. If even possible, never seen it done before though. Otherwise a reasonably large pool of preset avatar choices would be great. Allowing people to have custom avatars introduces the need for additional moderation or an approval process for avatar choices, which can become annoying to both us (delays) and the staff (extra work with minimal purpose).

Racial Skills: An Idea

in Suggestions

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

Functionality-wise, it appears pretty solid, have to disagree on the racial trait lines though. It’ll either introduce a new meta-race (skills) for certain professions, or go completely unused. Aside from that, it’ll at least allow people who enjoy using certain racial skills for the heck of it the ability to pick whichever race they like the appearance of without losing that added “fun” aspect. My asura wants Hounds of Balthazar, just for kicks lol :P

Lore wise, it’s shaky at best. Charr do not have gods/religion (excluding the Flame Legion, they’re baddies anyways), so a charr using the racial heal-skill “Prayer to Dwayna” would not make sense. Not sure if the same conflict will exist with the norn animal forms since I don’t recall norn referring to them as gods. Also, a sylvari using the norn transformations, a norn popping an asuran golem, or a human growing a sylvari turret just doesn’t fit imo.

Not because of the usual “Anet lazy” complaints (valid or not, it’s irrelevant), but because to make it challenging/fair will mean it would have to be horrendously long and complicated to create. And of course, this is something they can’t afford to have seriously bugged where people get precursors in some absurdly short period of time through some hidden exploit.

No news of it being trashed, so I think it’s safe to assume it’s still being worked on.

Otherwise, they could set up something similar to dishonorable from GW1 to solve it, although I truly believe leaving the characters in place when they log-out would be a much less complicated fix to implement.

You should be polite because people displaying such arrogance rarely get what they want when they are not in a bargaining position. You already bought the game, and from your self-righteous attitude, you wouldn’t be buying many gems unless the game was tailored to you specifically. So they’ve got nothing to lose by ignoring you at this point.

They sold many people a product they don’t like. It’s not their fault that people like you failed to research your purchase before buying and realize that before release they stated there would be no large-scale raids, no names shown in WvW, etc. You can’t go buy Brand A’s 32" TV based on a salesman’s suggestion and then go back and say you want to return it and get more expensive Brand B’s 32" TV for free. Life doesn’t work that way.

And as many people already stated. You are one of many. Changes happen when a large amount of customers request it. Not when a single person does. Your worth is equal to mine, which is equal to each other person on the planet.

ExTribble.7108

Paying players gems to be on a test server isn’t necessary. Giving them little ingame rewards is enough, like limited-edition minis, keys, etc. Star Trek Online did this and usually gave people a new tribble (tiny combat boost) for playing on the test server for _ number of hours. Seemed to work great as many people did it, even with the slightly annoying setup the user had to do to get it working.

And as thekap said, it must be accessible to every player. An easy way to do this is to send out an in-game mail (like they did for the one-time events) with a link or info on how to get on the test server and what time period it’ll be online. Of course any progress made on the test server cannot be saved in the normal server due to the much higher risk of exploiting bugs, but as stated before, some sort of limited-edition cosmetic reward should be enough to keep the more reasonable people happy.

EDIT: Forgot to address pay-for-bug-reports idea. It’s a good idea in theory, but I see this being abused by people wanting free stuff sending in a bunch of useless reports that’ll just bog down the team. If there was some way to track how many useful bug reports each person sends in, then I’d be all for it, but I’m not sure how their system organizes them.

“Arenanet, you shall…” Really? You have no right to order the developers to do anything. You paid for the game as it is when released. Yes, you are a “client” of theirs, but you are not a stockholder, nor part of their management/development team, so you are in no position to demand any changes. You’ve paid for access to the game, and the ToS clearly states that they can revoke it practically whenever they feel like it. Heck, be glad you get bugfixes and new content that you didn’t directly pay for.

Now, on topic:

Raids: It was stated from the start that this would not happen. If you want another clone of those oh so popular MMOs, I think many will agree that you should just go back to playing those games.

Names in WvW: It was going to be like that at the start, and they changed it. I find it’s much better, you know why? My map-chat and whispers aren’t flooded with “WTF you cheater!!!”, “lagged, gg”, “lulz you total noooooooob!!!”. I find this to be a great improvement over the commonly accepted PvP ingame interactions.

Improve guilds: This is in the works, and has been stated many times. Guild halls are coming. GvG is a feature that they haven’t denied as being implemented in the future, so it’s quite possible as it was a relatively popular PvP form in GW1. Repeating this suggestion does nothing.

Real-estate rewards: So a team times a quick re-taking of a keep/tower when the opposing zerg moves to the next target should be penalized for making a quick and effective move? This just doesn’t make sense.

It’s features, not futures. If you mean futures, you’re not making sense. And there’s plenty of need for communication. Dungeons and open world PvE dynamic events with fewer people require communication to succeed or you’ll just wipe repeatedly and have to chuck out a decent amount of silver to get back into fighting condition. Heck, even in zergs in WvW because if you’re just mindlessly running around, you’ll fall right into an ambush and get wrecked in 5 seconds flat.

Better yet, they should make it like GW1. In GW1, if you equipped a 2H weapon while you previously had 2 1H weapons equipped, you kept your offhand equipped when you switched, it just didn’t do anything. In this sense, all that happened was that the 2H weapon replaced the 1H weapon in your main hand and you never had to worry about your offhand vanishing into your gear pack to get merched.

This, so much.

Not sure if there’s some technical limitation as to why this can’t be done, but this is one little thing from GW1 that worked perfectly. Would be nice to have it back

It’s clear from this interview that there will be no more rarities of gear beyond ascended, but there will be a “shallow power curve”. How? It’ll most likely be through the release of stronger and stronger infusions. Considering their current bonuses being +5’s, I doubt everyone’s going to be going for them unless they insist on going deep into FotM or care so much about <1% of a boost.

They’ve admitted that the handling of the release of ascended gear was less than optimal. It was something they intended to include from release but never did. They also stated that the acquisition of ascended gear will not be limited to FotM and become available through general PvE and PvP.

Call me ignorant, naive, etc., but I’m going to wait until they’ve rolled out the next ascended items before raising hell about it.

The next materials you use will only delay discovery for filigrees only instead of both filigrees and chains. Check out the wiki page on the jeweler recipes to check the discovery levels

GW2 Mounts Suggestion

Please use the search bar. Every person supporting mounts seems to believe it deserves a new thread each day… This is getting ridiculous. Add your opinion to the existing topic, I believe it’s titled “Mounts [Merged]” in the suggestions forum.

inb4lock: I’d vote no on mounts. Makes people less likely to hop into DEs they stumble upon, and with Waypoints and most classes having skills giving speed boosts and jumps, rushes, etc to travel faster, there’s no real need for mounts. If you’re going for collectibles, that’s what minis are for. Fighting mounts would be a neat idea for a minigame, but outside of that is a flat-out no from me.

Go back to the suggestions section. See that grey box with the text “Search this forum…” on the top right? Learn to use it please, there have been countless threads on this topic.

On topic: I’d have to disagree. They would have practical uses, but it would not help the idea of people being nudged into jumping in and helping out in nearby DEs when traveling. If you’re speeding around on a mount, you’ll probably not want to waste time on a random event since it would slow you down. Waypoints work quite well at getting you from point A→B rather instantly. Plus there’s the whole opinion of this game being more artistically driven and the developers actually want you to see it, not just speed through a zone and miss all the pretty sights :P

Also, for collectibles, GW2 has a ton of minis instead of the traditional mounts. I’d say this is much better since it’s not an in-your-face “look at what I have!”, but still noticeable if people care to look.

Game became unplayable after lvl 40

Be sure you’re using armor and weapons close to your level. Using armor/weapons many levels under you can be severely hampering your abilities. If you’re using blues (fine), I’d say upgrade every 2-3 levels. If you’re using greens(masterwork), every 4-6 levels. Do not use rares when leveling as they become obsolete rather quickly and usually have a much higher cost, although there are occasional exceptions.

Most of the time, this gear can be bought from the TP from near merch value, so when you’re trashing them for the next set, you’ve essentially only spent probably 50c or less per set (more if green, less if blue) since you recoup the costs when you merch the gear.

Aside from that, let us know what TheDaiBish asked since it can help quite a bit

Why can't we send mail to a other alts?

in Suggestions

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

It’s because mail you receive from other players is sent to the account associated with the character name, not the character itself. In other words, if someone sends a mail to your main character, all alts also have access to that same mail.

And as ImagoX said, that’s what the account-shared bank is there for

Yes, yes, and yes. I’ve been itching to replay my story (even if you’re unable to change the later chosen paths)

Its an interesting idea but the problem is that we dont have missions any more we have " personal story quests " and you have to do them all in order . You cant just do Fort Trinity one day and Claw Island the next .

Yes, it’s awkward, but aside from a roleplay/realism perspective, it doesn’t make much difference. And missions in GW1 were intended to be done in order, just some players who felt like speeding through or simply didn’t care could skip ahead if they preferred.

Ectos Nerf

in Crafting

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

I didnt see in the patch notes that you guys nerfed the ecto chance. But i can assure you that you did. which really stinks.

How are you so sure? I’d bet all my exotics across all characters that your salvaging sample size is insignificant. Realistically, you’ll need a salvage size of probably 1000-1500 to show a definitive result. So please, come back to the forums when you’ve salvaged that much post “nerf”.

I’ve noticed no change to be honest. I thought there might have been one a little over a week ago, but kept my mouth shut since it’s all RNG. And guess what? My luck has turned around and I’m getting the salvage results I’m used to seeing. If salvage rates have truly been decreased each time a thread like this pops up, ectos wouldn’t be ~28s and rares ~18, it’d be more like ectos around 1g each and rares at merch value.

Ectoplasm salvage rates drop yet again

ExTribble.7108

I’m sure they nerfed the salvage rate because they gave everyone free rares/exotics for the karka finale.

All you’re doing is guessing a reason and stating it like a fact. It doesn’t make it true.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Stealth-nerf-on-ecto-drops/page/2#post705392

Considering they’ve officially responded to one of these many floating conspiracy threads, if changes are made to drop rates it will be officially stated in the patch notes.

Ectoplasm salvage rates drop yet again

ExTribble.7108

Please take a sample size of 1000+ salvages so you can show a true change, and then make a post like this. A few salvages here and there proves nothing. These threads are seriously starting to bug me…

I had been salving 0-1 ectos off of plenty of rares for the past week and guess what? The past few days I’ve been consistently getting 2-3. It all boils down to luck and eventually it will turn around. The devs posted in an earlier conspiracy thread that the ecto drop rates have not been stealth-nerfed. They even upped the drop rate of rares recently, and I sure have noticed that.

Seeing map/armors/stuck/weapons or other art issues?

T3 Human Light Cultural armor (female) does not accept Scarlet dye in the primary (long-bar) slots. Once applied it shows as expected in the preview window, but when attempting to confirm the change by toggling the dye mode or exiting the window, it reverts to Dye Remover. Not sure if this bug affects other colors, but out of my collection 150+, it’s the only one I’ve noticed.

Reported this bug in-game weeks ago, figured it got buried so it might be more helpful to post here.

EDIT: Forgot to add: This occurs with the set items before and after transmuting, so that isn’t somehow related as far as I can tell.

Realize you can also double-tap the movement keys to dodge in that direction. I’ve never used the dodge hotkey tbh. If your keybind scheme is the standard WASD, the dodge hotkey is essentially the same as double-tapping “S”.

And as RoShamBo said, I would rather keep the hotkey’s default function as-is, since I’d bet some people use a combination of the double-tapping and the hotkey.

When will Trahearne die?

in Personal Story

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

Considering his Wyld Hunt was to cleanse Orr and he already supposedly has done this, I have a feeling he’ll be taking a backseat in the Pact’s operations (or retire) and you will become the new leader in the upcoming expansions.

I truly hope this is how it plays out because if he or a new Trahearne-like character hijacks our story in the expansions, I doubt any reasonable person would buy them. Also, considering the sheer number of these threads and the overall negative opinions of Trahearne, I doubt the developers will be so blind to do this again. Heck, they might even allow him to be killed off considering all the hate :P

I just am not getting it

in Crafting

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

The general rule of thumb with salvaging for cloth/leather is to salvage items that are of the level you’d craft them to acquire the mat.

Example: Rawhide leather sections craft (random number, likely wrong) lvl 10-20 gear. If you salvage level 10-20 medium armor, you’re practically guaranteed a few pieces of rawhide leather sections. If you’re level 80, you would have to go back to earlier zones to get such drops.

Same concept applies towards fine materials, where you’d be killing the monsters of the same tier level.

And as Dogblaster said, discovery is the way to go. It gives insane amounts of xp when compared to crafting multiples of the same thing. Also, when it comes to leatherworking/tailoring/armorsmithing, do NOT waste materials on inventory boxes/bags since they give pitiful xp for the amount of mats used. If anything, use leftover mats to make them when you’ve gained access to use the next higher-leveled material.

UI "update" inferior in comparison

in Crafting

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

There’s already been plenty of posts, and the reason the UI was changed in the first place seems to be quite unclear. The only reason I’ve seen is that previously there was a limit of 999 crafts in the input, and now it’s been increased. If true (since a player mentioned it), it’s still a weak reason for such a drastic change since practically no one would have been affected by such a limit.

Most people will agree with you (including myself) that the new UI is not an improvement, especially when trying to craft low quantities of items. We’ve been hoping the devs will revert to the old system which most if not all of us had little to no problems with. By now they’ve seen these threads, so they know of the issue

*pokes a dev*
I’d be ecstatic if the old UI is included in the Nov 15th patch

Thorynn, did you have three of the Embellished Brilliant __ Jewels? You need 3 per rare. The quantities of each item needed is also shown in the discovery pane right below their respective icons when a valid recipe is inputted. I made them successfully to hit 400 Jeweler a while ago so if you had 3 and it didn’t work, report it as a bug since some recent update must have introduced it.

Is it possible to get 13+ levels from a single 0-400 craft?

in Crafting

Posted by: ExTribble.7108

ExTribble.7108

Very possible, but you need to be low leveled. Not sure how much crafting boosters affect it since you get a given amount of xp per crafting level, but anywho, here’s my experience:
Lvl 2 Sylvari: 0-400 Cooking → Lvl 16
Lvl 9 Asura: 25-400 Leatherworker → Lvl 20

Both times I used a crafting booster (not sure about WvW bonuses though), and I don’t recall how far along the current level I was when I began but it is very possible to get 13+ if you’re low leveled. I’d say it’s nigh impossible if your char is already level 30+ or so since the xp may not be enough to level you.

Now that I look at it, the 10 levels per craft claim is probably just an estimate since you get more if low leveled, and less if higher leveled. I’m starting to get curious what other people have seen now :P

Nub, I think you missed the point, there’s no legendary jewelry in this discussion (or even in existence, I think).

When you look at all the stat differences between masterwork/rare/exotic in pretty much any gear, you’ll notice it’s pretty small when comparing equivalent level items. Just like exotic armor and weapons, they only provide a slight boost over what the more common rarity offers.

I’d say no change is needed, since it’s working just as it does on pretty much everything else (no discrepancy).
