Bubbles Powderpuff supports her Honor of the Waves party in full Water Elementalist mode. This is one of my earliest “themed” armor combos. It has always worked so well as-is, that it has probably undergone the fewest changes over time. Everything just seems to work together so naturally that it looks like a full “set”. (I previewed the new Lawless Boots skin for this outfit, with it’s furry lining. But it has spikes sticking out that clipped horribly through the robe.)

I actually joined a PUG and fought to the end of Honor of the Waves. Not a big deal for most of the people on this forum, but far from an everyday event for me. Anyway, when we finished, the group wanted to continue on to the other paths, while I only wanted to take my screen caps. So poof! …out I went. (It was lousy lighting there anyway).

I wound up going inside under Story Mode and soloing the first group so that I would have the stairs for my picture studio. (Eir and Caithe stood behind me the whole time, annoying me by running back and forth, and sheathing and stowing their weapons continuously. I should never have revived them. Honor’s Claw was polite and quiet while I worked.)

Bubbles is fully covered, yet still sexy wearing:

  • Head: Glacial Eye
  • Shoulders: Vigil’s Honor Mantle (Love the turtleneck here!)
  • Chest: Cabalist Coat
  • Gloves: Apostle Wraps
  • Legs: Dry Bones Leggings
  • Feet: Acolyte Boots
  • Weapon: Monsoon
  • Mini Pet: Arctic Fox Kit (Yes, even my pets coordinate to complete my look! )

SWEET REVENGE Trait Not Working

The Warrior Trait Sweet Revenge does not seem to be working anymore. At least twice in The Crown Pavilion I have been downed, popped my VENGEANCE skill, killed a bad guy, but then fell dead from nothing a few moments later. I am CERTAIN there were no other bad guys around that may have killed me. (Plus I have the VIGOROUS RETURN Trait… when I got back up from the downed state I had a goodly amount of health.)

Adding on to my thought about “Underwater Outfits”…

Bubbles the Mermaid would be first in line at the Gem Store the day they announce a MERMAID TAIL for sale! I would LOVE to automatically swap into Mermaid form when entering water. It would re-energize the whole underwater world for me!

Other people might like skimpy beachwear. Some might prefer a scuba ensemble. Or even an old time suit with weighted boots, a heavy brass helmet, and oxygen lines leading up to the surface.

LOL – I logged into Labyrinthine Cliffs (I had last exited the game while underwater). When I appeared in-game, Kasmeer was right there swimming past me in her bikini, with Marjory in tow dressed up in her heavy black leather trenchcoat. I had to chuckle. Then they went up on shore and sat down. Kasmeer was out in the open soaking up some rays, and Marjory was under a tent. They began blathering on about Marjory being too fair-skinned, and quick to sunburn. Something like that. (Comes from spending all her time in a dark bar I suppose).

I had to get out of there. Their prattle grates on my nerves.

With regards to the thread, maybe they could come up with some kind of OUTFITS for swimwear that only appear when you go underwater (like the aquabreather does). You would THINK that that would please both sides of this issue. Nothing immersion-breaking or unnatural about a bikini underwater, right? Well… until you go underwater in Frostgorge Sound…

AQUABREATHERS! THERE’S a “real” issue… they really need higher quality aquabreathers in the game… and a checkbox to conceal them, just like normal headgear.

It’s both the sound of someone crossing the finish line and the sound of one of the guild rush traps (the one that stuns and then kills the player) being activated. And yeah, the distance it plays is ridiculous.

Is there any reason you can think of why this sound should be audible at all to people not participating?

Congrats, all! Strong competition! I guess I’ll have to live without my dream armor pieces for awhile longer. I knew I was doomed the moment I saw on another thread that you despise the term “mix ‘n’ match”, Lilith. I seriously considered editing that out of my entry. I’ll know better next time. (I hope there is a next time! I love making creative screen caps!)

If you’re still doing it, I noticed that you are part of something called “Dungeon Mentors”. I may have to avail myself of your services someday, as Dungeons are the only way I’ll get a few of the pieces I crave for the Mix ‘n’… uh, Mexican look I’m shooting for next. (Whew! Saved that one!)

This human boy uses the voice (and expressions) of a female Asura.

Were Achievement Chests Nerfed Too?

Yeah, just got my 9.000 chest .. and it really felt just like a champ bag

Doesn’t feel much like we’re being rewarded for our Achievements anymore, does it? Admittedly, this was a smaller chest, but…

  • I got a WvW seige engine (I don’t WvW… I usually go there and drop these in the lobby for one of my server mates to have).
  • I got an XP Booster. Relatively useless, as 6 of my 8 characters are at 80 already.
  • I got a Revive Orb. About the only use I’ve ever had for one was jumping off of Rata Sum and then reviving myself for the experience of being thrown in their jail.
  • I got 5 Mystic Forge Stones. I don’t use the Mystic Toilet much, so these just add to my large pile.
  • And I got 2 Gold. Woo-hoo!

Yes, it is a variety of things. Just nothing for me. But aren’t there things that most anyone can get use from? Suggestions for ANet anyone? Maybe CLAIM TICKETS for the reward of your choice? (Not necessarily Black Lion Weapon tickets).

I like my rewards to feel rewarding. I want to look forward to an upcoming reward!

She is wearing (from head to toes) Priory’s Historical Cowl (concealed), Apostle Epaulets (thank you, PvP Achievement Chest! It works perfect with the blouse!), Phoenix Vest, Stately Gloves, Adept Leggings, and Exalted Boots. Dolly is wearing a Princess Outfit.

Man. Who would have thought that the dungeon forum regulars would be outnumbered by outsiders? Thanks all you new folks! They needed some competition. Some of your posts are spectacular.

I don’t do Dungeons much (tiny Guild, and I’m not generally comfortable in PUGs), but some of my most desired skins come from there. With the Wardrobe, I was finally able to use a few pieces that I had earned through the PvP Achievement Chests that used to come inside of the “normal” Achievement Chests. Unfortunately, those have now been removed from the Achievement Chests, and I am once again at a loss as to how I will get any of the pieces I really crave.

So I have my fingers crossed and am trying to submit some attractive scenes for ya. (You’ll notice my pics are from the entrance of the various Dungeons. I only had to solo a couple of spiders at Twilight Arbor. But regardless, the start is also the safest place to take screenshots and not get bushwhacked in the process )

My character Hamfast Hornswoggle is a youngster who loves superheroes. In picture number one, he poses as “Hadron Hornswoggle”; average, ordinary, everyday gazillionaire banker and his ward “Rockford”. I hope it gives you a great big smile!

I just discovered this thread at the 11th hour! I could really use a couple more “dream” pieces of armor! Here are my submissions:

  • Heavy Armor Charr Warrior in Honor of the Waves
  • Medium Armor Sylvari Ranger in Twilight Arbor
  • Light Armor Human Elementalist in Ascalon Catacombs

Mine aren’t the fanciest, rarest, or most expensive fashions. Instead, I’m making creative use of mix ‘n’ match armor pieces to create “setting appropriate” looks.

Here are the combos for anybody who wants to know what the individual pieces are (from head to toes):

Charr Warrior: Clawfford leaps into battle with his Devil Horns, Gladiator Pauldrons, Primeval Warplate, Fire God’s Heavy Vambraces, Heritage Legplates, and Heritage Warboots.

Sylvari Ranger: Breanna Banana sports a “Legend of Zelda”-like look for her first foray into Twilight Arbor. She has on a Vigil’s Honor Headguard, Studded Shoulders, Viper’s Jerkin, Heritage Armguards, Inquest Leggings, and Outlaw Boots. Nana is wearing a simple bearskin.

Human Elementalist: Bubbles Powderpuff took a wrong turn while chasing her stray kittycat into the Ascalon Catacombs. She is wearing a Diviner Helm (concealed), Devout Mantle, Country Coat, Primitive Handwraps, Country Pants, and Vigil’s Honor Footwear (offscreen – but they really make the outfit!)

Inconsistency in "The Ghost Rite"

in Bugs: Game, Forum, Website

If I have, then it’s been a loooooong time ago. I am certain that I soloed the last several Personal Story instances, and I have only rarely accepted Story Completion when accompanying someone else on theirs. “The Ghost Rite” (also soloed) is a Durmand Priory-only scenario. So I know I am still considered to be Durmand Priory.

WIKIing “The Ghost Rite” says that this is indeed what Gixx says when you speak to him after you have made your decision. At the very least, since this is a Durmand Priory Personal Story, they need to change “Lightbringer” to “Magister”. Although it would be better if they auto-detected your Order, since a non-Priory character could be along for the ride, helping out with the Party Leader’s story.

Yes, I asked in MAP chat on several occasions, in different zones. That’s what I was told. One of three things needs to be done with that sound effect:

  1. The volume needs to be drastically lowered.
  2. It needs to have a much smaller range… not the entire map.
  3. It needs to be heard only by participants.

I don’t know the significance of the noise. My Guild is too small to ever be able to do any Guild Activities. (Unfair to smaller Guilds! – But that’s another issue). There may be a reason that they want non-participants to be able to hear this. If so, then they need to institute option 1 or 2, or give us a personal volume slider for Guild Sounds, like the Musical Instrument slider.

My character is with the Priory. I completed the Battle of Claw Island, and then went on to defend the beaches of Lion’s Arch as an Avatar of Balthazar in “The Ghost Rite”. At the end of this scenario, I am asked to choose my next course of action:

  1. Trahearne suggests I meet up with Tegwen and Carys.
  2. Gixx wants to introduce me to a Charr and Asura pair, Barron and Fero.

I chose option number 1, to meet up with Tegwen and Carys.

But when I noticed that Gixx was following me around, I talked to him. He said he was sending Barron and Fero to me, which is wrong. And moreover, he addressed me as LIGHTBRINGER. I am of the Durmand Priory, not the Order of Whispers.

There are apparently some Guild activities that cause a loud BOOMING noise (much like fireworks) to be broadcast across the entire map. It is by far the LOUDEST sound effect in the game, and often startles me right out of my socks. It is nearly constant in some zones (Dredgehaunt Cliffs and Harathi Hinterlands to name a couple).

As a non-participant in the activity, is there any reason I should be hearing this at all? Even if you lowered the volume, it would still be very annoying. If I turn my generic sound effects volume down to where the Boom-Booms are tolerable, then I can barely hear my own action noises. Please make it go away!

I got my first Achievement Chest since the Patch. I take it they killed off the reward box of PvP gear that used to be included, since the Wardrobe merged everything? That was my main source for the occasional random Dungeon goodies, and stuff only available in the Mists. (I don’t do Dungeons or PvP). I was hoping they’d still give us a box full of gear though, even if it’s not called a “PvP” chest anymore. The reward was really wimpy. I’m suddenly not excited about my next one anymore.

SUGGESTION: Account-Wide Costume UI

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Hamfast.8719

Yeah. As far as the Tonics that used to be Town Clothes, convert them all into Outfits. Then start giving a starter Outfit to new characters again. Not my ideal solution to be sure, but it should be an easy enough compromise to implement. Tonics as clothing is a horrible idea.

As far as TRANSFORMATION Tonics go, I don’t see them being used in anything other than Costume Brawl.

Beautiful!

I personally just keep 2-3 sets of armor on each character – changing skins on 16 alts is way to expensive. The wardrobe system does very little for me in terms of usability other than to see what is out there. After work today I may pop in and link some of my own characters. Absolutely lovely!

Looking forward to it! I also get very little out of the wardrobe other than convenient previews. I still store just as many extra armor pieces in my Inventory as I ever did. (More now, actually). I like to have “area appropriate” gear for my Toons (warm stuff for cold climates, light weight appearing armor for warm climates, etc.) so a good portion of my bags are reserved for that.

I’ve been doing “Transmutation Charge Runs” like mad… creating a new character and doing city completions. I can’t keep up. Now I know what the Black Lion Key Runners feel like. Grind, grind, grind.

First, the Master of Peace pronounces “Labyrinthine” as “Labyrinthian”.

Then Taimi pronounces “recognizance” as “reconnaissance”.

I know you aren’t likely to drag the voice actors back into the studio to correct something that’ll be gone in 2 weeks, but for the future… I’m just sayin’. Taimi is supposed to be brilliant. Finally we come to Valeri The Valkyrie, another heavy armor character. Once again, it was hard to find non-metallic parts for a “Town” look, but fortunately the Norn cultural armors help somewhat.

Now that I’ve come to the end of my characters, I would like to push another idea that would be helpful for Town Clothes lovers and other players alike. We used to be able to swap out our Town Clothing with a single button click. I would love to see that functionality restored by letting us maintain two sets of armor, and being able to swap between them just as easily. Here are the details:

Poor Noid is the big loser out of all of my characters. His In-Town persona was based on being a pint-sized boxer. Unfortunately, the Boxing Gloves received the “Outfit” treatment for some reason. Instead of being a Brawl Weapon like any other, a whole (unchangeable and undyable) outfit is forced upon him. Not a very good “boxer” look. So he is lost, and contemplating an end to it all.

Please support fixing the Boxing Gloves so that they act like other Brawl Weapons! Remove the “Outfit” portion and let us sport our own look! Save the Noid!

Clawfford is a soldier. When off duty, he lounges around in his fatigues. There are darned few non-metallic armors for Warriors, but a Charr can probably be forgiven for having a little on display. I am liking my first Halloween Devils Horns on him. They look quite natural. I still can’t figure out why the Escape From LA horns intentionally float in midair. This is much better.

Clawfford also would very much like to see Brawl Weapons be stowable. His greatsword clips through his bare back, but his Executioner’s Axe never did.

The destruction of Town Clothes was a huge loss for me in the Patch. Check out this thread to see just a portion of what they stripped away:

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Share-your-Mix-n-Match-TOWN-CLOTHES

At the very very least, I feel that they must turn all Tonics into Outfits, and restore the Basic Town Clothes Outfit to starting characters.

The damage has been done. If and when they ever return from China and deign to address this topic, I will be right there on the band wagon hounding them to restore some of what is now gone.

Until that time, I am not sitting idle! I am making the best of things, and creating my own Town Clothes out of armor. It is not easy, by any means. Apparel meant for combat rarely has a “home” look to it. It isn’t cheap either. I’ve spent a small fortune in new armor pieces and transmutation stones. It is also a pain unequipping weapons all the time in town.

But we don’t seem to have much choice at the moment, and I’d love to see what other people are doing as well. So let me start things off by showing you what I’ve come up with. I will present my characters to you in alphabetical order.

Here we have young Miss Alyssa, the happy little “witch” of our small Guild. She provides a cauldron for Costume Brawls, since not everyone has Brawl Weapons, or Tonics with Brawl skills. Sure, I could use the Witch Outfit, but I don’t care for the hat that conceals her ears, or all the bones that decorate it. I like what I’ve come up with much better. It’s more “traditional” looking.

I would LOVE it if people would support the ability for Brawl Weapons to be STOWED again, like they used to be. Standing around in a constant “ready for action” pose is pretty dumb-looking.

My ‘issue’ is with dailies… I usually use a certain type of mob to dodge or for condition removal… and they usually get killed by someone running by… who takes it upon themselves to kill the mob without a second thought. It’s obvious what I’m doing, as I’m just standing and dodging and my health is usually full, or I’m standing and healing to remove conditions. I don’t like the megaservers at all.

Dodging secret: try dodging catapults. There’s lots of them scattered about Gendarran Fields and Harathi Hinterlands. Sure, people can destroy your catapults too, but that happens far less often. And you can find some with no enemies around… I used to enjoy doing my Daily Dodger in my Town Clothes!

Condition Removal used to be easier. I could stand in front of any peewee Drake that breathes poison, and get a bunch of stacks to wipe out. But since they pretty much wiped out Traits in the lower level areas, the Drakes got a nerf to compensate, and they barely stack any poison at all now. I had to change my strategy to find Veterans for that. And yeah, people do come to my “rescue” a lot even though it’s obvious I’m just standing there letting myself be poisoned.

I think that the OP should maybe, probably, check out the following games that can easily be found on steam. What you expect or wish to happen simply goes against the nature of the multiplayer component (mmo = massive multiplayer online) of the game.

If you preferred to play in desolate places before on your own, that’s perfectly fine. But that was considered by many more players as a flaw of the game and goes against everything that this game is and was described as. You are welcome to try out other MMO’s, but you will only find the same issues you have with GW2 while receiving as good as no more share of the loot pie.

I’m not looking for desolation. But I do think certain areas are far more populated than they need to be. It still needs adjustment on a per-zone basis. The starter areas don’t need to be packed wall-to-wall… there is no huge outcry that those areas are too tough for individuals or smaller groups. In fact, it is preferable when starting out to do things mostly on your own so that you can better learn. And I am still convinced that having the MegaServer in TOWNS is a huge mistake on many levels.
________________________________________

I am so tired of people pointing out that “MMO” means “Massively Multiplayer Online”. “MMO” is a term created by the industry simply to let people know that the computer game they are buying is populated by other players as well, and not a completely man vs. computer experience. It is by no means intended as a dictate that we must work together as a group. The REAL world has far more people than any game world, but that does that mean it is always preferable to team up with other people to do something?

And then there is the OTHER half that people tend to selectively forget: Guild Wars 2 is (supposedly) characterized as an MMO RPG (Role-Playing Game). Does that mean everyone must Role Play? Of course not! The game does NOT give us Role-Playing. It only provides an environment in which Role-Playing can be done. But the players bring the Role Playing aspect.

I did NOT forget that the game is Multiplayer. I don’t need to be reminded. If this were a single player game, I would not need to make a post about how people interact with one another, would I? But in a game, we hide behind Toons that have few real-world consequences to their actions. This can be a good thing, since through our characters we can vent and wreck things, and do all the stuff we can’t do in real life to let off steam. I am just trying to remind people that they are still in a community of real people when they log in to an MMO. And while consequences are minimal, your actions can still affect others.

Right-Click Menu on Emotes

We need a new chat channel for ROLE PLAYING (I dunno… cyan-colored text? Whatever). It would be the same thing as the SAY channel as far as range is concerned. But any emotes posted on the RP Channel would only appear to people monitoring the RP Channel. They would NOT be visible to people monitoring the normal EMOTES “Chat”.

Being on the RP channel could ALSO be your “tag” to let the MegaServer know you are roleplaying, and want to be grouped with like-minded individuals.

Problem solved.

Mega servers means no way to know which or when
a temple is starting. It also means good luck farming nodes.
Mega server = crap

You didn’t read anything but the title did you?

LOL!

You see that all the time in any thread with the word “Mounts” in the title. The OP could be writing something against mounts, and somebody will invariably chime in and shout that there is no place in GW2 for mounts, and that the OP should go back to playing WoW if he wants them so much.

The dumbest thing anyone can ever say is “TL;DR” (Too Long; Didn’t Read). If you didn’t at least read the original post, then you are only showing your own ignorance by commenting on it.

Wait, you’re objecting to someone chiming in on Skill “Challenges?”

Yes. It is supposed to challenge me. Some of them actually do provide a challenge. I personally like to do those solo, since many of them ostensibly tout themselves as a one-on-one contest of your ability. When someone jumps in, especially when they far overpower my opponent, I no longer feel challenged or victorious.

Perhaps that is part of my issue. If it is still a good fight even with help, that’s great! Maybe my gripe is when a level 80 godling does the work for me and makes me feel as if I barely contributed to my own challenge.

So any tips on how to tell the difference between someone who is struggling but really enjoying the challenge and wants to do it alone, and someone who would really appreciate a hand with a difficult fight before they go down?

I sit back and watch their health meters. It usually only takes a moment or two to determine if the player needs help based on that alone. In the close battles, it’s sort of like a moa race… the contest keeps you riveted to see how it will turn out. If near the end, the player looks like he may be getting the worst of it, that is where I might throw in some healing if I have it. And if I’m too late and he gets downed, I usually try to revive him and let him finish the job.

Actually, the incident that prompted this thread was neither of the situations I described above. I was using a medium level character and doing pretty well. I had an enemy one-on-one and he was on the verge of dying while I was still around half health. Then a high level warrior came running through and finished my opponent off in one swipe and continued off to wherever he was heading without ever breaking stride. I did all the work, and then BAM! It just seemed kind of callous and unthinking.

There are no absolutes here. No black and white that says whether or not it is a good time to step in and render assistance. Sometimes you will butt in where you aren’t wanted. Sometimes you will arrive with much-desired help too late. All I’m asking is to try to be more aware of other players’ situations.

If either of your 2 bullet points ever had a chance of happening, I would love it. Sadly, they do not.

Which is but one of the many gripes I have with the MegaServer.

I could live with it if they cut back about 50% of the population in most zones (it really depends on what zone you’re in… company is more appreciated in some zones than others) and if they totally removed the MegaServer from cities.

So for now, I can only appeal to my fellow players to help make the situation a wee bit more livable.

Like it or not (I don’t), we are all part of a larger community now thanks to the MegaServer. Wherever you go, there are tons more people around. It is a fact of any society that the more crowded it gets, the quicker tempers tend to flare. As such, it makes sense to do whatever we can to get along with our neighbors.

This is an appeal to be just a little bit more observant of the other players around you to avoid unnecessary tension. A couple of examples:

  • Don’t be an Aggro Magnet. Simply running through the world, you pick up pursuers. Then if you happen to run past another player minding their own business, these monsters have a chance of disengaging from you and attacking them. With so many people packed into a zone, there are fewer “safe spots” to go AFK for a couple minutes. There is much greater risk nowadays of someone bringing monsters down upon you while you’re on the potty, or grabbing a pop from the fridge, or sorting your Inventory. Please do your best to steer clear of other players if you know there is a bad guy following you. If you realize you’ve put someone else in jeopardy, stop and help them. Then saying “Sorry…” accompanied by a sheepish /shrug could even make a friend, if that’s what you’re looking for.
  • Not everybody wants help. Part of the fun of any game is beating an opponent all by yourself. Naturally, there are some bad guys that pretty much require teamwork to take them down. Help is appreciated. But don’t you enjoy a challenge now and then? Don’t you appreciate the opportunity to finish a tough battle without the Almighty Zerg charging in and finishing off your foe in a matter of seconds? All I am asking is that you look before you leap into the fray. If the player seems to be doing fine, leave them alone! If it looks like a close battle, it can be fun to stand back and watch. Perhaps throw in some healing spells, or step in to revive if he gets downed. But let the other player have a chance at the feeling of accomplishment that you would also enjoy from a good battle well fought. (EDIT: This goes especially for Skill Challenges, After all, they’re supposed to be a challenge!)

You may think this that is just a computer game, but it is also a social environment (especially now). Nothing is forcing you to be considerate of others, but most people will find it more enjoyable to avoid tension with other players. I am not saying you can’t run around and be as disruptive as you want, if that’s how you like to have fun. I am merely trying to bring this to the attention of all the non-trolls who aren’t used to having other players on the map, and may not realize how they may be affecting those people. Despite hiding behind cartoon avatars, those are real folks you are encountering. Treat them the way you would want to be treated. It would make the MegaServer a bit more tolerable.

Four fifths of my small guild are over 50, myself included. Two of us have been in Tyria since the GW1 betas. My family had an “Odyssey 2000”, the first mass market console gaming system. (Lots of games, almost all of them glorified versions of Pong). Been computer gaming since way back with our first Apple ][. Back then, the closest we had to Role Playing were the many Infocom text-based games (Zork, Leisure Suit Larry, etc.) and the fanciest graphics and fantasy “action” belonged to “Wizardry”.

For my self, since the last feature patch, I’ve spent hours just mixing and matching new looks for my characters! It’s pretty fun.

Yes, it is pretty fun. Now you understand why so many of us hate the way our Town Clothes were ripped away from us. It took a lot of time, effort, and creativity, and by golly it was fun!

Then ANet decided to give us a little “gift”. An occasional thread in the forums asked to be able to wear Town Clothes into combat. So they used the introduction of the Wardrobe as a chance to do just that. Unfortunately, the only Town Clothing that actually made the transition into armor skins were hats. Nothing but hats. Everything else was no longer mix and matchable. Much was even undyable.

I have been working hard at recreating “town” looks for my characters again. Not and easy task with apparel initially intended for combat, and it’s been very expensive. The forums have quieted down since the initial furor… how could they not after a month and a half of non-responsiveness? But I hope now that you see how fun creating a unique look can be, that you’ll understand when I pick up my keyboard and continue the good fight if and when they decide to interact with us again.

Annoying NPC Comments???

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

My favorite is “this won’t end well” by Trahearne, over and over

Numerous times Trahearne has given an “inspirational” speech to rally the troops, and the moment you leave the cut scene he delivers that doozy. “This won’t end well”.

Seriously, if he has so little faith in our chance for success, why did my character think he’d be a logical choice to lead the Pact?

At least he’s gone from your life once you’ve completed your Personal Story.

As far as everyday NPCs go, the coughing one in Divinity’s Reach is bad. I also dislike how LOUD that whistling guy is.

They really need to rename the NPC something like Helmsman [Quick Travel] so it’s obvious.

And yes, the multiple loading screens are a hassle. So much so, that I never want to use the Activity NPC from there, because I know what is in store for me when the game is over. (And the loading screens are MUCH longer these days with the MegaServer).
