lol misunderstandings. So if you hear a constant creaking sound, the first thought would be somebody having intercourse on an old bed? :P
About since Halloween most headgear started causing characters to be bald when wearing one. The reason behind this was never disclosed to us, however I’d like to propose the return or perhaps the redesign of hair showing from under headgear.
I carefully choose my character’s hairstyle and colour, and seeing them getting bald just because they wear an hat or an helmet is pretty awkward.
Moreover, it would be cool to have something like hair flowing from the back of the helmet (in case character has a mildly long/long hairstyle) just like Nightmare from SoulCalibur:

It’s true actually, I noticed it today. I wonder why was it replaced with an evident lower quality version…
As I mentioned in another topic, the effects given to the Toy Repair Gun prove that this could be actually possible. It’s only a matter whether developers feel like working on it or not.
Well, after using about 5 more it worked. Guess I was just getting unlucky? I didn’t know there was actually a chance and however I remember the effect used to kick in more frequently and last longer.
I wish it could be made a permanent visual effect for the whole duration of the candy food effect.

The Tyrian lore tells us about a forgotten ancient civilization, whose buildings and perhaps technology as well were taken over by the Asura driven from their homes after the rise of the Great Destroyer.
What is known so far about it and are we going to learn more in future?
As a writer and researcher, I find this matter quite fascinating even in fiction.

I’ve always found the names of legendary weapons a bit too… common? (Or just plain funny, like Quip. Well, it’s a legendary bubble gun(!) after all) Actually some exotic weapons bear more legend-like names.
I think some names could be improved by looking at our actual real lore about weapons of legend.
Like The Howler, quite a common name in my opinion, which could be easily turned into Gjallarhorn, a mythical warhorn used by Heimdall in norse mythology.
For an existing example there already is Caladbolg, but it’s not really a legendary weapon since it’s tied to the personal storyline and not a permanent item itself.
So my idea is either a few renamings, or I could also see a second set of legendary weapons bearing mythological names, with of course, similar means to be obtained. (Maybe more serious looking ones… yes, I’m still ooking at you, Quip.)
Aren’t drops equal on chances for all present sizes?
So this happens only to me? I’ve used over 25 Strawberry Ghosts within today and yesterday and I haven’t gained even once the ghost appearance on my characters. :S
Seems a bit weird…
It’s called The Charr Triumphant
I’m not using the B word or I’ll get infracted. But I repeat, can anyone else confirm this? I really would like those food visual effects back…
I posted this in in General Discussion but I figured it could very well be a bug so I’m reporting.
I remember Strawberry Ghosts used to turn your character into a ghostly figure and the Candy Corn Almond Brittles turning you into a Candy Corn Elemental.
However since the Wintersday update they only yield normal food effects without any cosmetic effect. Was this removed intentionally or is it a bug?
If intentional, can those effects be restored? Thank you very much.
It’s not really pay to win (unless you look at boosters which in some way give yuo an advantage). It’s more like pay to look the way you want without effort.
Someone seems to have missed the reason behind the Toypocalypse Canceled achievement “nerf”.
The main reason is people leaving instances as the first dolyak dies. They want to keep people in the instance having fun, that’s why they’d change it from five to one or possibly two dolyaks.
I agree. There’s quite not a lot of variety in medium equipment looks.
Beside something Ninja-inspired I’d also like to see something more tight like the Duelist set, but less revealing. Perhaps like a combat full suit, ala G.I. Joe’s Baroness or Marvel’s Black Widow.
Because projectiles and sounds are weapon type and class related, not weapon model.
And I wish this would change. It would have been much cooler if sounds and graphic effects sdepended on particular weapon models like festive skins.
Had posted this a while ago as a suggestion but I guess it was completely ignored…: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Projectile-hit-effects-based-on-weapon-appearance/first#post684692And here I present you with a rifle with different sound effects:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3gnNwwuO6w
I know about legendaries. The topic is about other weapon models which feel pretty simple and sometimes the sounds and effects seem incoherent with the looks of the weapon. Why a glyphic futuristic looking laser gun would make projectiles and sounds of a flintlock?
The sound and projectiles of the Toy Repair Gun in Toypocalypse would fit that style well.
I was wondering this too to be honest.
I still don’t get why people wants difficult challenges out of a seasonal event. It’s always like this, but only on this game.
In every other MMORPG I played there was never, and I mean never, real challenge in seasonal events, and they were still fun for everyone in a relaxed way.
A seasonal event should be meant to be enjoyed even for a level 1 newbie. And not just veteran level 80s.

Like Snowball Mayhem and the Bell Choior, the Toypocalypse is an activity. They are using the same systems, and these systems do not permit joining by party. Unfortunately due to technical limitations and time constraints before the holidays, we cannot change it. We understand that this is not ideal for people who wish to play in the same party and who are finding it difficult in random groups. We will be adjusting the “Toypocalypse Cancelled” achievement so that you will need to keep only one gift dolyak alive. We do not have an ETA on when this change will be live. Thank you for your feedback. We have been listening, and we will take your comments on board for future game updates.
Wow, you guys are srsly gonna make it easy on whinners??
c’mon now, what about all of us who actually did it with all 5 dolyaks alive, we didnt got any extra reward or title or anything,
are we going to get any extra something for that or what?
Yeah, and what about all the people who paid for Lineage 2 before it went F2P? Come on now.
You did it with the 5 Dolyaks, good for your self-realization, and you will have something to brag about with others.
It’s good to see the autogrouping working… but this should be meant only for people without a party!
So let people join with their own party when they already have one.
Not the drop of gift boxes but what “drops” from them after opening them.
It’s not like the end of the world if they decide to go up 10 levels on the cap. It will require further balancing with the classes, of course, but nothing as bad as many make it sound.
Whether they decide to make so or not I’ll live with it just like Rin said.
Whoops, you just salvaged your exotic equipment instead of that rag because your mouse lagged for a brief moment. In that case you’d probably wish there was a prompt window.
Honestly who cares about the clipping in a preview anyways?
Renewing this suggestion for more opinions.
Sort of reminds me of the Halloween patch were they removed everyone’s hair when equipping a hat/helmet. They STILL haven’t fixed that one.
Ah yes. That’s the reason why I stopped using hats and such and also perhaps the reason I see less people wearing them.
I still havent seen any of these so called toys in orr, been all over there yesterday, and they just dont exist, do i have to do something for them to appear or something?
Not in Orr. But they fight Risen in Bloodtide Coast.
They also buff themselves… alot.
I just witnessed a massacre. It’s amazing just how a group of toys can kill in a matter of seconds even the most annoying Risen.
Seriously, these toys are to be feared more than the most vicious creature on Tyria.

Protecting us from purchasing the wrong type of armor? Well that’s one silly reason. There’s already lines in red stating you can’t equip something in the item description.
Just bring the class independant preview back, please.
Already been suggested before and never taken into consideration.
But after all, I’ve never seen a suggestion actually being taken into consideration.
Regardless, +1. The more cutomization, the better.
totally agree bump
I’ve started to refrain from using that B word. I’’ve noticed it draws the attention of moderators into infracting my posts…
Anyways, I agree. As long as there is an option to turn it off.
I knew that if I used that word the post would get infracted… -_-
Alright then, let’s put it this way…
Bug isn’t fixed after the release of yesterday’s patch. Why after two days isn’t this fixed yet?
Again, fix this, please. And in the unfortunate case it is not a bug, then revert to the old class independant preview. I think the many topics about it have made it clear that nobody likes it as it is now.
You already have two: AoEs and channeling skills. Learn to use them at the right time.
In case anyone didn’t notice, she is also the speaker’s voice on Tixx’s airship.
Mayan? Seems something Hylek related would fit well.
I could also see something Asuran tied to this.Hylek are tribal but not Mayan . Asuran would fit well however do to the architectural similarities and environment
Except their names are based on Nahuatl, which is an Uto-Aztecan language. So perhaps they’re more aztecan than mayan.
They even sacrifice their champions to the sun god to earn protection from the Risen.
GW2 needs more votes.
A very low chance for any present type.
There is also no greatsword skin from the token exchange NPC.
I thought the Hyleks were the mayan/aztecs of Tyria.
Also, all we need to get for that is a lousy shirt.
I’ve heard Tetris is more rewarding than this lately.
I like the whole bell choir concept but the keys to play music feel awkward to use on my keyboard and I can’t get anything done.
Eight fingers on eight keys really close to each other don’t feel exactly like playing a piano.
There are snowballs around the lobby area to keep you entertained as you wait for the next run, by the way. Use them.
What the hell. When I proposed this everyone was so hellbent against it with “omglol useless! Just roll a new character and get to level 80 in one week lololol”. Now people seem to like it. Whatever…
A week old post but I missed it and search function worked. I agree with this. Blueprints should be account bound instead of soulbound.
- Thief
- Thieves are the masters of mobility, stealth and high single target damage. They can be very fragile if you counter their stealth with area of effects or large stacks of conditions, but they trade this fragility in order to have some of the highest burst damage in the game. They are able to help allies through traps, venoms and the mobility to flank most encounters.
Trait IV – Shadow’s Embrace: Remove one condition every 3 seconds while in stealth – Trollolool
Lol, seriously? Most stealth abilities barely last more than 3 seconds, so that’s one condition we get to remove, if we specifically trait to do so! ONE condition. Unless we use Shadow Refuge, in which case we have to stand in the circle to get the full effect giving enemies a big red target showing exactly where we are to AoE us.
It’s always people who don’t know kitten about how Thief works the first ones to complain.
We’re talking about traits, however. Setting up one means you’ll have to relinquish another possibly useful one.
Oh and remember, if you lose in WvW or PvP it’s always the Thief’s fault, right? :P
Anyways, this is the first time in months we see something slightly close to a buff, as it’s always been nerf after nerf for Thieves. About time, I’d say.
(edited by Hermes.7014)
Quite frightening, huh?
D:
I’m calling on bug… but yet there has been no confirmation by ANet, so it’s speculation.
Give us our independant preview back please?
(edited by Hermes.7014)
People need to quit being so damn kitteny and have some empathy for those who are trying REALLY hard to do this puzzle and simply cannot.
Well, some people just like to do the part of the elitist jerks and will never miss a chance to tell you how much of a failure you are for not being able to play on their level, no matter if you can’t afford an high-end PC or lost one or more fingers in an accident with fireworks.
(“You” as in general, of course.)
