Hi, I’m a Zerker Ele going for map completion.
I find myself very squishy, and easily dying on events that my Zerker Necro would otherwise shrug off.
Does anyone have any tips for increasing my survivability? Thanks!
I get the feeling that Reaper will be VERY meta. Huge AoE damage, and GS#4 is a permablind. Easy Max Vuln applications, too.
Also, condi is finally being fixed. Epidemic might be OP once the update goes live.
Yes, yes Karka please!
Apply the lessons learned from Silverwastes to Southsun Cove!
White and Gold armor with a Sunrise.
I want to be a pretty boy!
Looks great on Male Norn. I like it!
I do desperately wish they could buff Axe MH though. The weapon itself is a cool concept, and it should be expanded on.
Hi, are portals will dropping?
I heard they stopped an hour ago. Is this true?

Love the skin, but its price is a bit steep. I’m also somewhat disappointed that this is a Focus instead of a Dagger.
Historically, Samurais have always used Tessen (bladed fans) as their off-hand weapon.
Tessen were very important to samurais, because they were used to block or parry attacks, as well as numerous other versatile purposes. The razor design itself makes it a very deadly weapon with its sharp edge and wide range, while it can be used like a dagger or war hammer when the fan is closed.
The martial art of using weaponized fans still live on today in the form of Tessenjutsu.
I do hope ANET considers a Fan as a Dagger in the future, because that would be baddass!
This skill could’ve been SO cool, had they simply done the fixes mentioned above ^
Personally, I’m actually quite let down by the skill, considering it was one of the ones hyped by the reveal trailer, and all we got was something putrid…
Currently in PvE, critical hits define power builds. Consequently, Bone Minions are completely useless.
Bone Minions deal low damage, and they are incredibly fragile. By design, the supposed payoff to using Bone Minions is that if they can reach a foe in the first place, you are rewarded by blowing them up for massive damage.
Currently, this is NOT the case In PvE. Their inability to deal critical damage essentially makes them broken in the PvE game mode.
Here’s my proposal: Have the crit % scale off the Necromancer’s critical chance.
I noticed it too. Thought it was intentional as a bandaid against exploits…
RMT Purchases - Expect them to be Removed

Wait, I thought buying from RMT since launch has always been illegal? This is a new rule???
Anyway, is this specific to “Gold Sellers”, or can I still privately trade a guildy 500g in GW2 for 1000k in GW1?
Why are people talking about E-Sports in a PvE thread? O_O

Iron Legion Elementalist, master of lightning and electricity!
In GW1, the AI could move while they attacked in melee, as long as they were chasing an enemy. In fact, skills like Bull’s Strike in GW1 specifically had bonus effects that punished foes if they moved.
In GW2, for some reason, minions (and pets in general) must stop and stand in place for their entire attack animation, before an attack be executed.
I think if they changed minions to attack while moving, it would solve a lot of issues. But keep in mind GW1 was a different game.
Methinks the reason Minion AI is b0rked is because of the Z-Axis making it difficult to calculate actions for a minion.
And what about… Rifles, which are literally physically impossible to be dual wielded
James Bond did it.
I’m in the same boat. Just “maxed” out my Necro, and did everything I ever wanted to do on it. I’m ready to move on, and undecided what class to play next… However, I have Zerk 80s of every class, so it’s just a matter deciding what to main.
They need to change Hellfire Helmet on Charr to cover the whole neck in Magma, similar to the Zodiac armor.
They alsoneed to change the tail to a flaming tail.
Hi, I want to put together a Lightning Whip build for map completion, but I am a fresh 80, and I do not know the class well.
What traits should I be using to maximize Lightning Whip damage against Open World encounters?
Also, which stats+runes should I be using? I’m torn between full Zerker+Eagle, or Assasins mix+Scholar.
Anyone check out the Eternal Alchemy Machine from LS2 yet?
They said, a long time ago, that they will not fix the many issues with Asura and Charr clipping because few players play as those.
And yet, they fixed Charr footprints.
Also, as opposed to Charr tail-clipping, where the issue requires redesigns of each individual armor, this is more of a universal problem how the item is positioned on Asura, regardless of model.
It’s the proximity and angle of the Greatsword.
For the love of Alchemy, PLEASE fix it, ANET!
Since launch, Greatswords of all kinds have been clipping on approximately 80% of Asura armor.
Would it be possible to increase the distance from the character just slightly, and to reposition the way the greatsword is head on the back, so that it doesn’t clip?
Thanks!
Dark stuff! How dark will (can) it get?

By darker, anet was referring to the Shadow Abyss dye!
Just wanted to voice my appreciation for the character select music change.
That theme is one of my favorite GW2 tracks, and since we hear character select a lot, I’m glad they chose to use this gentler theme.
Great job, ANET!
How would increasing Life Force make this any more viable offensively?
Dagger’s autoattack effect is fine for PvE. Generating Life Force is a powerful effect, and I’m saying that as someone who has played a lot of bunker.
Problem is, it’s nor much an offensive effect.
I would love to see skills that consume Life Force in exchange for powerful damage and effects.
Just curious about people’s opinions here.
What if Putrid Explosion (Bone Fiend explosion skill) could critical based on the Necromancer’s crit % instead of the 4% from the bone minion?
I think it is a darn shame the clothign weren’t made into outfits. Some of them look darn great, and it would’ve allowed us to use that nifty GW2 T-Shirt in battle.
What if Life Siphon were changed to a burst, DPS increase?
Now that it sucks for mobility, can they at least make it instant cast so we could at least use it as a Blink? Or at least make it do really awesome damage?
Wouldn’t turning it into a Burst skill give it similar potential to the Longbow in Ranger Dungeon Runs? (Where it is used as the Entry Burst?)
A snapping turtle that makes a reflecting tornado… ahaha, I love it!
Please, ANET! Jump on this awesome gold!
Skill #3 on Wand.
You have a Power-based skill on a Condition-based weapon.
If the intention is for this skill to be some form of burst, shouldn’t the damage be buffed?
With full Zerker and scholar rules, 6 conditions on a target, this skill only does around 4625 critical on foes (tested on golems)
Considering the maximum use of this skill demands so much dedication, just for 4.5k dmg, shouldn’t it be buffed so that it would at least be a viable burst in a Necromancer DPS rotation?
Right now the tooltip says it deals 893 damage +8% per condition. Come on! With 6 conditions, that only raises it to a 1321 damage skill, which is just third autoattack on other classes, except this is on a 10s cooldown and requires setup from conditions!
The base damage should at least be raised to something like 2000. This way, if you have 6 conditions on a foe, its secondary effect raises the damage to 2900, making it much, MUCH more appropriate for a burst.
Should this skill be buffed? I think so. It needs twice the base damage it currently has.
I really do think Life Siphon should be changed in some way. It just feels really, really clunky. And that extra 2k HP almost never saves my kitten , because meanwhile it leaves me open for damage.
As for skill #3, it just needs a CD reduction.
Hey ANET, just throwing a quick, tiny idea out there:
If you ever need ideas for a future Ranger pet, I think that a turtle would make a great drake.
Specifically, a Turtle would fit very well with the Drake “skeleton” and model-type animations, from the way they move, to Bite, to even Tail Spin.
Stat-wise, since Drakes are a “tank-y” pet with a ton of Vitality, I also thiat a turtle would work well.
Come on, you know you would love having an adorable Turtle as your loyal companion! <3

Oh my balthazar… Do people really fall for a troll this easily?
Skill #3 (Immobilize) is pretty great. But Skill #2 (weak channeled heal) is pretty dang useless in my opinion. Where is it useful? I haven’t found its any usefulness in PvE.
Gay marriage is legal in Tyria, unlike Republican-controlled America.
Specializations!
I think specializations will replace death shroud with 4 – 5 profession Fskills that cost life force to use, and among them, one will be the ability to summon many minions.
Look very carefully at the skills Marjory uses. I think they are heavily basing the Necromancer specialization off of Marjory. This means:
1. Summoning minions. (Marjory uses in many missions, particularly in boss missions)
2. Bone Bridge/Wall??? (Aerin boss instance)
3. Chill on autoattack (any instance with her sword)
4. An underground dash-type of attack (used while she wields her dagger)
Anyone notice scaling is a little bit off lately?? I noticed it initially in Dry Top where a boss was taking much longer, and then Vinewrath felt like Hard Mode (though personally I like Hard Mode Vinewrath. It’s more fun…)
Hi, can I please have any tips or build advice for an Open-World Mesmer who does World Exploration, Silverwastes, and Dry Top?
Currently I’m running a S/S shatter mesmer with 4/4/0/0/6 (4x mind wrack dmg build), but I still feel fairly weak in PvE compared to other classes in Open-World?
What do you all recommend I run?
Chicken Launcher rifle, and Spirit of Mordremoth bow.
I’m looking for a new class to play in PvE, and I thought I’d take a look at my Asura Mesmer, who is already 80 with all traits and full zerk/assassin armor.
What uses do I have in PvE? Not just in dungeons, but in general PvE areas like Silverwastes.
Is there a particular reason to use a Mesmer, over something like a Guardian?
I noticed our 1h-Sword damage is pretty weak… Or is it just me? How does our overall damage rank against other classes?
What kinda build is best in Silverwastes and Dry Top? Shatter vs Phantasm?
Are we a good class to use in dungeons?
If you have any interesting pitches, please convince me to play mesmer!
We know from GW tradition, it will be ONE word. So “Death Knight” is off the table.
Wouldn’t turning it into a Water Field just make it an inferior Healing Spring?
I mean, Healing Spring basically does the same thing, but removes conditions automatically.
Doesn’t seem too overpowered.
Only complaint I have with Kudzu is the bow string. They need to update it.
Actually, I really like it. It’s perhaps one of my favorite legendaries. I mean, come on, everywhere you walk turns green, and you shoot GOLDEN arrows!
Maybe if you grew up with Grass Pokemon and Bulbasaur as your starter, you would feel different. But this is my favorite legendary.
