Are you sure there isn’t a chest sitting in your inventory? Each day you have chest issued to you, you will first click on the little bouncing chest in the bottom corner of your screen – you will see a pop up with your rewards and any selections your need to make for skins, etc. Once you accept this pop-up a chest will appear in your inventory which holds some additional rewards like boosters, WvW badges, mystic forge stones, etc
You can try putting in a support ticket, they may offer you a one-time-only switch to the one you actually wanted, then again they may not.
Print screen should work. It goes directly into a folder called Screens which is usually stored in a Guild Wars 2 folder in your ‘Documents’ or equivalent.
The scrolling display of items is a function of the auto-loot option. If you turn it off you get a small pop-up wiondow instead where you have to manually select items you want to accept – at least that is what happens when looting in the open world, not sure how it manually selecting loot works when opening bags which only contain a single item.
I just yesterday discovered that I had some unexplored caves shout of temple of balthazar so maybe that one (there goes one event to kill eye of zaithan in those caves)
Zho’qafa Catacombs – commonly missed so it might be that one.
If you picked a skin for the days rewards you will also have a chest in your inventory – open that to get access to all your goodies.
Next to the guild banker at the bank of the LA bank. You need to buy one of the three kites from the gem shop first, then get it converted.
I saw a screenshot some time ago on reddit of Horik and a Molten Alliance berserker bowing for a female sylvari, maybe the sylvari could be scarlet.
Fairly sure I saw that picture and someone in the thread debunked it saying it could be easily achieved by players using everlasting tonics. Who knows?
If you are absolutely convinced this is a bug and not player error then this post should really be in the Game Bug forum. We can suggest places to check but that doesn’t seem to be what you want.
Try Angvar’s Trove in the NW corner of Snowden Drfits – it was added a couple of months ago for a guild puzzle and doesn’t appear to be on the Bluestone list.
I’ve been playing on NA servers since December, I switched over to visit some NA friends when server transfers were free and had such a good time I never went back.
I’ve never experienced any issues with being EU (UK) based on an NA server, although I do have a very good and stable internet connection where I live. I know plenty of EU based players who live on NA servers and none of them have had any problems with lag, etc.
In my experience new areas that are added do count for explorer achievements if the maps that they are on haven’t previously been completed before the new area is added. If you had previously completed a map you usually don’t need to ‘discover’ the new area, it automatically is counted for you.
The same is not true for new POI/WP – these need to be revisited to bring your maps back up to 100% completion.
Zho’qafa Catacombs in Straits of Devastation is another one commonly missed in Orr.
Cities also count for regional explorer so, in the case of Kryta, make sure you’ve fully explored Divinity’s Reach and Lion’s Arch. Kryta explorer also includes some areas only available in the personal story instance of Claw Island so make sure you’ve worked your way through your personal story to that point.
PvP items should transfer directly to the PvP locker when you use the deposit all collectibles option in your inventory. The only reason they won’t transfer is if you have two of the same PvP item. No need to store them in your bank at all.
Edit: PvP lockers are in the heart of the mists – if you ever use this to get free transport to LA then they are behind you on the right as you head to the LA asura gate.

No problem, glad it helped and grats on your Maguuma Explorer, especially now that (achievement) points mean prizes
Try using this guide – compare the white named areas on your maps of Maguuma to the names listed here. Should help identify the one you have missing.
No, sorry, the Southsun stuff is no longer available. I think the omelette achievement is still achievable and the goggles but that’s about it.

Great, glad I could help – congrats.
Do you have Aurora’s Remains in Brisban Wildlands? It has nothing in it needed for map completion so if often overlooked.
And yes, the quality of your off hand weapon will affect your damage.
I don’t think this can be a permanent zone, its a flying city.
The Zephyr Sanctum is moveable but what about the Labyrinthine Cliffs?
This is correct.
Rewards are handed out based on milestones that happen every 500 achievement points. So 500 point milestone is a small reward, 1000 point milestone a large reward, 1500 point milestone is small again, 2000 is large etc.
In the 1000point milestones (so 1000, 2000, 3000 etc) you also get the choice of a skin. Each milestone has a specific list of available skins and you get to pick one. Each milestone also comes with gold, some laurals, a permanent acount bonus (like +1% xp or something) and a chest. Small or Large depending on the milestone. The chest contains all sorts of BLT goodies like boosters, and forge stones, its quite richly filled.
Do you have a source for this information, it’s much more detailed than anything I’ve seen since they announced the feature?
@zeromius – I agree that it might be a bit much to expect access to the walled city of the Tengu. I suppose I’m speculating that both the city and it’s surrounding territory are referred to as Dominion of the Winds. As this map suggests the walled area is inbetween Caledon and Kessex Hills, but they obviously protect territory further north between Kessex Hills and LA. With the mention of Labyrinthine Cliffs in the release info I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this does equate to a small parcel of new land for us to explore.
There’s a good chance that the achievement page will stick around longer than the dungeon does, seeing as the last achievement is only going to be unlocked on July 9.
The achievement for talking to Mai Trin will be available from July 5th according to these patch notes
I think we could see this area opened, between LA and Kessex Hills. This could be the site for the Bazaar and the Labyrinthine Cliffs that are mentioned in the release info. After that it’s only a short hop and skip towards Caledon and the Dominion of the Winds.
Could I request an official break in the two week cycle between mid-september to mid-october. I’m supposed to be getting married and going on honeymoon but now I don’t want to miss anything exciting!
[real world problems…I know]
“[i believe] we are the fastest selling mmo in the west” & “we are continuing to grow” -straight from the dev’s mouth. doom sayers go home! muahahahahahaha!
On a side note, I’m interested to see/hear about this upcoming guild and wvw stuff they are doing. More detail from would have been nice. kitten teasers…
That interview was actually posted up in February – but there is a ‘future of the game’ update promised for July so hopefully we will get some more info soon on what is coming up in the next few months.
If more new armours are going to be introduced into the game via the gem store then I would definitely like to see a system like this – a great suggestion. Bank space is already at a premium so not having to store unwanted bits of purchased sets would be good.
I’ll take an invite please. I only need Faster than light but will be happy to help out with others in the group getting the final boss achievements. Thanks
Thank you, that JP is great fun. The diving goggles are inspired – you evil, evil people
Only for use on one character at a time, but it is possible to transfer the one set of wings between your characters – they just have to take turns.
Hi Vixx
I’m an EU player based on an NA server and I experience no more lag problems then those who are NA on NA.
Thanks for the heads up on the broken tab, I’ll fix it when I’m in work later if one of the other officers doesn’t get it first.
Edit: I’ve checked the tab on the website and I think its ok, but you do need to have an Enjin account in the first place and maybe this is why you were denied access? Please msg me here or in game if you still can’t get it to work, it looks ok to me at the moment.

I have seen plenty of mesmers porting up to the end of Goemm’s, if there are none operating on your server try guesting to Tarnished Coast (if you NA based) as that is where I have seen several doing this.
According to this Dev post the zhaitaffy vendor is going to be permenant, but will move to Fort Marriner.
Only when it breaks.
From the wiki
The damaged status has no effect on armor. Once all equipped armor is damaged, pieces of armor will begin breaking when the player is defeated. This is indicated by a chipped red shield over the item icon. Broken armor does not provide any defense or bonuses, but the upgrade component provides its normal effects.
Yes, it is entirely possible to transfer from an EU server to an NA server. I speak from experience
Server swaps cost gems (amount dependant on population of the server you move to) or if you are willing to delete all your existing characters you can transfer for free. If going the deletion route be sure to clear characters’ inventory of anything not soulbound and any cash you have and put it in your bank.
Server swaps are done from the Character select screen, there is a World Selection button in the lower left corner that facilitates swaps and guesting.

What helped me choose was youtube. Watch famous youtubers of each profession and see which you like best.
Nemesis-Necromancer
Daphoenix/Woodenpotatoes- Elementalist
Dontain- Warrior
etc.
There are also some good mesmer guides on youtube by MrPrometheus.
You are neither the first nor the last, don’t worry about it. Have fun with the Ogres and their pets
Sounds like you might have missed Fields of Ruin, south of Blazeridge Steppes. It has 13 hearts and can be easily missed. Easiest way to access it is from the asura gate in Divinity’s Reach (Rurikton district).
Where are these npcs? I agree on the second one.
That’s Lady Kasmeer Meade and Marjory Delaqua. Lady K first appeared as an NPC in Secrets of Southsun and both are in the latest living story activites centred around the Dragon Bash festival.
Hi to Kali, Matt and DarkDiva – welcome to the thread
I’ve sent guild invites out to each of you if that helps you to make connections with others more effectively. I look forward to meeting you all in game.
I play on a US server from the UK, I have never had a single problem with lag that I hadn’t already encountered on my original EU server – as far as I can see it is exactly the same experience no matter which server (IMO).
Actually you have to dance in front of them and then set them on fire – true story
Lets hope so… And there were a couple one time only events (thinking the rise of the mad king on halloween, and most of the karka things, including the series of events leading to killing the ancient karka.
True, I had forgotten about the Mad King, but that was only a cinematic, not connected to anything a player had to do for achievement or reward. And I see the whole Lost Shores event as one-time-only, although yes it had different parts that made up the event – however each individual stage of that event and its timings were well advertised in advance.
The big Karka event started on a mid Sunday afternoon on the east coast of the US. Somewhere around 3-4 pm EST if I remember correctly.
But the initial karka invasion of Lion’s Arch (also a one time event) did happen on the Friday IIRC.
It will not be a one day only “get it on the 18th or not at all” event. The only one time event they have had was clearly advertised as such well in advance and went so poorly there is absolutely no way that they would do it again AND not warn people about it.
I imagine it will be much like the Cragstead and Hatchery instances from Flame and Frost, although whether it will be repeatable or not is unknown.
Also, there is an online manual which you can access from the login screen (before you press the play button). Or use this link. Its not the best manual, but it might help answer some of those initial questions you’ve been having.
Personally I hold down my right mouse button and use ‘a’ and ‘d’ as strafe controls for direction and ‘s’ for forward motion. As holding down the right mouse button basically controls the camera, most of the time I am using my mouse to determine the path of my character by moving the camera. My character is always running in a straight line and I turn the world around them to point them where they need to go.
Out of interest,
how do you move (and dodge) backwards?
I double tap the directional keys (wasd)
But further up you said you were using ‘a’ and ‘d’ as strafe controls for direction and ‘s’ for forward motion. Are you using “w” for backwards, then?
Whoops, sorry that’s me not bothering to proof read what I write!
I use ‘w’ for forward motion, ‘s’ for back and double tap whichever wasd key I need to dodge in a given direction. ‘x’ is turn about face, but to be honest I mouse turn most of the time as it is fast. Sorry for the confusion, I will pay more attention next time
Many people use this wiki page to help them check for missing explorer areas. You don’t have to visit any specific area on your map to check it, just open up your world map where ever you are and zoom in until you can see the white-named areas. Then use the relevant check list on this page.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/User:Bluestone/Explorer
Usually the list starts with the white-named area in the top left of the map and works it’s way across to the right and then down to the bottom of the map.
For Magumma try Aurora’s Remains in Brisbane Wilds which is often over looked as it contains no points needed for map completion. Proxemics Lab is a new area added for guild puzzles in Brisbane, it has a waypoint but if you haven’t 100% explored this area yet you might need that. The area at the end of the Morgan’s Spiral jumping puzzle in Caledon Forest is called Dreamdark Enclave, you aren’t required to do the Dark Reverie JP to get this area, just go to the beginning of it.
In Shiverpeaks you might want to check for Tail of the Sepent and Lair of the Coil in Timberline Falls, Griffonhook Run in Lornar’s, Foresaken Halls in Dredgehaunt (this is a mini dungeon which requires a chain of events to open it – you only need to enter the door to the dungeon to discover the area) and Tribulation Caverns, also in Dredgehaunt.
Not sure of commonly missed areas in Orr, perhaps Zho’qafa Catacombs in Straits of Devestation, again I don’t think it contains anything for map completion so it can be missed.
Hope some of this helps you get your explorer achievements
Happy hunting.
