Yes, it will be exactly as you left it.
Your characters will move with you but any guild facilities will be left behind and you’ll start with zero influence on the new server.
Yes, please can this be fixed. Thanks
Here’s a recent discussion about this.

There is no list on the wiki but there are guides available, one is listed in the link above. You can also check out the ones at http://www.guildwars2-crafting.com/ which are also good.
Glad you got it eventually, I’m guessing you were just unfortunate to run across it whilst bugged. Chalk up another achievement!
An individual dye will look different depending on the material or texture it’s applied to, even on the same armour set. I don’t know what the colour used is on the picture you linked but I have read that there is a dye called Illumination that people use as a cheaper alternative to gold.
As far as I know this is still explorable. Although it was introduced with the halloween patch it wasn’t a Mad King related activity. It may just be bugged on your server. I know when I did it (after Mad King had ended) that you had to first read the note on the door, then go talk to the Charr and read his books to trigger the event chain. If you leave the area or logout between reading the door and then going to the NPC it resets (at least it did with me).
I’m sure you’ve probably already seen this but…
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forsaken_Fortune
Edit: If solo you only need to enter the door to get the acheivement, however if you want to complete the mini-dungeon you will need a group

There are also training golems in the Mists, accessed by clicking the PvP icon (crossed swords) at the top of your page. Complete the brief tutorial and then you can play around with builds, test damage and try on different armours/weapons all in this area.
If you’re not exploring to gather mats then the only way (apart from generous donations) to get them is via the TP. The one thing I would say is that if you skip a stage and buy refined mats directly from the TP (i.e. buy planks not wood, or dowels not planks) you will miss the experience you would have gained from doing this refinement yourself and you won’t level as effectively.
I would recommend buying base mats and doing the refining yourself, this way you ensure you get the most exp for your money spent.
Try googling ‘levelling to 80 through crafting’ I’m fairly sure someone most have done a guide for this although I’ve never been looking for it. The site I tend to use when I’m crafting is this one http://www.gw2wiz.com/ which also gives shopping lists for mats needed to get to 400 in each craft. I would strongly recommend that you read the guide through and do a little TP research on current mat costs as they can fluctuate and the guide might be slighty outdated.
Good luck.
Crafting boosters do mean you level faster than you would without using one – i.e. you gain more levelling exp for each item crafted (until the exp limit on that item is reached) and you earn more exp through discovery.
Most crafting guides depend on discovery to get you from 1-400 in the most effective way, which usually means that you are only creating one of a specific item before going on to discover another one – that way you never reach the exp limit on a specific thing (as in crafting mulitples of it until it gives you no exp at all).
The only crafting items where you will see diminishing returns in exp is where you are refining your base mats – i.e. turning wood into planks, etc as you will need more of these in order to facilitate the discovery of new items.

Yes, if you access your Hero page (H) one of the tabs at the side keeps a track of all your story choices and chapters completed. Just scroll up to the top for your initial choices.
Congrats on making 80 You should also have a read through this guide for level 80 gearing tips and advice.
Just search the TP for draconic legplates and you should see plenty of the different stat combos for sale. Alternatively, you could get armorsmith to 400 and craft your own.
@Curuniel – thanks for linking that you’ve made may list of ‘GW2-related work distractions’ even longer now
No problem, I think we all experienced a moment of panic the first time (if we weren’t forewarned). It helps provide a more level playing field when you have new or level-appropriate players doing the same events as high level players who may be exploring the zone too.
You will be scaled down to the level of the area that you are in. You have wandered into the level 5 area of which ever map you are in and it has reduced your HP/Stats to match those of the mobs you will encounter. This will happen wherever you may be in Tyria, except within cities or areas where you may be scaled up to level 80 (Fractals of the Mist or PvP/WvW)
I don’t know what the armour skin is called but one of these sites may help you identify it.

The graphic effect on the armour of liquid metal is a bi-product of wielding that specific legendary (the Juggernaut) http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_Juggernaut

No sorry, your server choice is account bound so all characters will be on your home server.
Someone told me it was going to be a new mini game in Divinity’s Reach but that it hadn’t started yet – not sure if there is any official source on this. Wiki is very brief.

Anyway – I am curious what runes I should slap into weapons! I assume one set with bloodlust the other corruption, to stack 25 on both power and condition damage.
You can’t, unfortunetely, have two ‘on killing’ stacking effects at the same time. And whichever you one you have built up into a stack will remain even if you swap weapons.
@Aeleniel – thanks for checking all the invites Cookies for you!
@Tetraethyl – hi always room for another rambler here. To answer your question, yes you can be in more than one guild but you can only represent one at a time. You can also represent different guilds with different characters if that is something that works for you. As a group we don’t insist that you represent us all the time, but if you are playing with other members of the guild it would be nice. We are a cross-server group so most of us only ever meet up in dungeons or overflows, but I think we have a couple of members on Fort Aspenwood.
We’ve recently got a group website up and running so feel free to check us out there, if nobody has sent you an invite when I get home this evening I’ll be sure to send one your way.
The explorer achievement and title are not for 100% map completion, they are for discovering all the regions (areas named in white) on each area of the world map.
100% completion (which you get the gifts of exploration for) is the discovery of every POI, Heart, Vistas, Skill Point and Waypoint on the world map and on the four WvW maps.
So it is possible to have one without the other.
EDIT: Ah, I see what you mean now you’ve posted your character screen – have you posted a ticket to support?
Did this ever pop up for you? http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/File:World_completion_reward_screen.jpg

I’m with Sky on an unlimited broadband package and we are a pretty ‘internet intensive’ household and we don’t experience any massive issues.
The one thing I would say is don’t try to play GW2 through a wireless connection, use an ethernet connection. This may be a commonly known thing in the world of online PC games but as ths was my first MMORPG I didn’t realise. After using the cable connection I had a much better time of it.
Hope this helps.
The difference in items needed between crafting a box/satchel or armour and crafting the individual items was corrected at the beginning of December (according to patch notes – I haven’t tried it).
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Game_updates/December_2012 (Items update December 3rd)
Another thing to note is that this doesn’t work if you try to do it with players on a mix of NA and EU servers. EU players can meet and play with other players from other EU servers in the ways described and the same for NA-NA but you can’t mix the two.
Geneticist’s don’t need no stinking maths – just pass us a sheep and we’re happy
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Hints
Some are profession specific so if you haven’t tired every profession this may be where you’re missing them. Also, the wiki page does say at the bottom of the achievment that it is bugged – not sure if this is still the case.
I would have to ask, if a legendary is your preferred goal why are you chasing fractal agony equipment? If you are doing fractals because you enjoy it or because you get good mats from it then does that really get any better as you climb the ‘fractal ladder’?
Firstly, that that sort of behaviour exists in a guild is disgraceful. Secondly; run, don’t walk, and never look back.
If you are breaking down a high level Yellow (level 68+) or Orange for ecto(or a rune/sigil that you want) then use a Mystic or Black Lion salvage kit for the best chance at an ecto reward. Everything else, use basic or crude – I tend to use basic purely because they come in stacks of 25 rather than 15 so I feel they take up less space. Lots of people just use crude because they are the cheapest salvage kit for your return.
There is also a set of light skins available on from the Gem shop (think its called Primeval) – it has skin tight leggings that would certainly be called ‘well-fitting’.
Yes looks like predominantly Norn cultural tier 2 armour
@Death Reincanated – WvW maps are a bit of a pain in the … I still have a couple of PvE maps to complete but for the last few weeks I’ve been making forays into WvW because I’d read about the issues of getting points on opposing team maps. I’ve found that if you are around at the point that the weekly match restarts (for me that’s Friday/Staurday 12midnight-ish GMT) that can be a good time to get in and grab a few points in maps that you own. Then also Saturday later on can be a good time, after your world has had time to wake up, organise itself and take back some positions or go on an assault. After that I tend to check in a couple of times a week, visiting my World’s borderland map and then the EB map to see if I have a chance at anything as yet undiscovered.
As your World’s position in the tables can change each week, so can your starting map on the WvW world – this may take you a few weeks to do or you can choose to zerg round unfriendly maps or even transfer server to get points you need on a winning world.
So far I’ve completed two borderland maps and 2/3 of the EB map. I shall just keep plugging away. Plus it makes for a nice change when you find a zerg to follow, trash a few enemy keeps and kill a few off-worlders
Leatherwork or jewellery would be ideal, this way you avoid as much as possible a clash of materials between you two crafts.
@Glitch – I will take your apologetic cookie and raise you a ’don’t worry about it I’m not mad at all – RL first’
Rapid, the big beardy Norn and I stuck around long enough to kill the next couple of guys and get the chest in the next room and then signed out. Give me a shout tomorrow if you come online, I’ll be around till at least 10pm.
Welcome to all the new players – just trying to keep up with Kaii’s growing picture collection :p
A Sylvari-shaped surprise awaits the next person to open this chest…
I have already submitted a ticket and must say I am really pleasantly surprised by the rapid response in acknowledging the ticket and outlining how it will be dealt with going forward. Excellent customer service from that side of things. And thank you also to Gaile for answering queries and giving what updates she can – it is appreciated.
Although its a shame that it has come to such a crisis management situation, I am glad that Anet are doing what they can to repair the situation for those concerned.
To have characters one two servers you would need to buy a second copy of the game and have a second account. Your characters are account bound to the server you are currently on and if you change servers all characters move to the new server.
Ah, I see – short answer is that you can’t reset your skills.
If you accidentally unlocked one you didn’t want you are stuck with it. The good news is that you will generate enough skill points to unlock all the skills on your character and then some. After you reach the level cap at 80 you still earn xp and each ‘level’ above 80 earns you another skill point.
What shoulders are these?
The Lost Shores event shoulders, just search for skins in the TP.
Like you can preview skins in the TP.
So what are they called?
The are called light, medium or heavy Island Shoulder Skins. No matter which class of armour you wear they all look the same.
What shoulders are these?
They’re the shoulders from the Lost Shore event, they dropped from the consortioum chests.
Do you mean the skills you buy with skill points? These can be changed anytime you aren’t in combat. Hover over the skill slot on your UI bar and a little white arrow should appear at the top of the skill slot, click this and a menu of all your available skills will appear for you to pick a new one.
You can also do this through the skill page on the Hero panel.
Do i need to post a ticket to get my reward ?
They said in an earlier post that anyone who was disconnected, regardless of whether they posted a ticket, would be identified in the process. That being said, no-one really knows what parameters they are using to decide who is eligible.
Whenever I feel I have something to prove, or just when I want to test out a new build against a few mobs I go take on the stags, moose and deer – they are a true test of skill.
Haha, everyone has run to check in game to see if they’ve got an email – tumble weed blows through the forums…
Money for completing hearts is sent via your in game mail, not given by talking to the heart vendor. Check your mail for those which have hearts next to them – you should see an amount of money in the bottom left and a button opposite to accept that money, then you can delete that mail and move on to the next one.
There were two new POIs added to LA for the Karka event, did you get those? Also have you done your personal story up to the bit on Claw Island, I think there is a POI in that instance that counts.
I’m surprised nobody has linked this yet https://www.gw2lfg.com/ although predominantly used for fractal groups at the moment there are people on there looking for story and explorable modes of other dungeons. Means you can draw a party from beyond your own server.
Hi again BongiB – I’ll shoot you a guild invite when I get back from work, unless some kind soul who is in game in the next 5 hours can do it earlier.
We are quite spread around (location/time zone wise) with most members in either American or Europe. We do have some members who are on a Hong Kong timezone or there abouts as well.
If you can get onto SoS and it is considered a good server for your location I say go for it, if you don’t like it there is nothing currently stopping you from moving and trying somewhere else. You usually only tend to end up in an Overflow when you are moving in and out of Lion’s Arch, due to the fact that recently located a popular dungeon there – at least this has been the experience on my server.
Hope to chat with you in game soon.
