They don’t need to officially report to the player base when they clearly said they were going to roll it out to ALL servers eventually – there was no timeframe listed, eventually just happened to mean a few days. Their metrics supported the faster rollout and it seems to be doing just fine.

Thank you all for chiming in. It appears that aside from where you choose to start in the rotation, the rotation is as I posted in the OP for the majority of those who have bothered to comment.

Any time you can reuse a waypoint for more than one boss is good, Troll → Bandit, Oak → SB → Oak, Spider → Wasp → Boar. At least in the original rotation.

I know it’s only about 1.5 silver but it still saves time and allows for the reduction of waiting time at other bosses along the chain.

Oh and for those of you who simply like to run straight to the Boar hill after whatever boss was last, Ojuns Mill waypoint is closer and you get to find out if Wasp is up or get it started while you’re there. If you keep tabs on the pre-events for wasp while hitting Ojuns Mill then we can actually do Wasp every 3-4 cycles. In most cases since we’re now on megaserver if you simply start the pre-events, someone from the open world will surely finish it while running around. Champs reset at 5 minutes, the train takes about 8 depending if wasp is up. Works just fine.

Thanks to the megaserver roll out, all servers are now participating in the Queensdale Champ train and that has brought about it’s challenges in getting everyone on the same train.

I would like to take this opportunity to attempt to get all the servers on the same champion order.

Maguuma did it this way: Troll, Bandit, Oak, Wasp, Boar.
No Spider, it’s an elite that doesn’t drop loot.
(left to right according to waypoint) Vale, Phinney, Ojon’s or Krytan

I would like to get to know your server order and maybe standardize the order so there isn’t as much confusion as to where to go next.

if you don’t change your gear every 5 levels you’ll find that you lose power/damage.
Damage is a complicated equation that is summed up by saying get better gear.

It took them several years to implement this in gw1, give it some time, but keep asking for it or it will go into the round-file.

So I’m just unlocking skins so it wasn’t a big loss for me but I just crafted a Celestial Exotic Masque – tailor and it unlocked the skin when I made it which proceeded to make it account bound – soul bound on use.

Is this supposed to happen? I don’t want to make another one to see if I can sell it or if it would be account bound again.

Like I said I was planning to use it to unlock the skin and complete my celestial outfit – why doesn’t this one have a skin? it doesn’t show anything when you put it on. But I didn’t put it on yet or use the ‘unlock skin’ feature or salvage it or anything that would unlock it normally, no other skin that I made has unlocked just because I crafted it and it worries me a little that I wont be able to craft and sell exotics if I feel like it.

For females I would assume some sort of skirt (anet loves them some skirt…)

You gotta do it twice with Hundred Blades, it refuses to cancel the first dodge and doesn’t recognize movement at all. It’s the only one I have a problem with because you’re in melee range just to use it and if the target decides to stomp you, you just got stomped cause you can’t cancel the skill fast enough.

It’s about half way down the page. I know the tonic will add pants but I don’t know what else it will have (boots gloves hat?).

Yes, armor smithing has the same type of deal, rune of strength has two recipes for the same rune. And I believe it uses the crystal fragments as well.

Necromancer is pretty much the most laid back class ever, you can go Minion Master and just sit there and watch!

There are 6 zoom levels if you use your mousewheel. If you don’t find that you have 6 zoom levels then your mouse is not working correctly or you’re not using your mouse to zoom.

No, everyone is talking about the Rogue Mask for medium armor. Anet forgot to add the unlock option to almost all of the karma vendors in the game. I know, I checked them all for skins and there were only a couple of them that had the ability to unlock that skin, the one I listed should be the cheapest option.

You can get it from the karma heart vendor in Dostoev Sky Peak in the middle of Dredgehaunt Cliffs, I’ve wrote about this before, this skin is only available from WvW and 2 karma vendors in the world. There are probably 12 more vendors that you can’t unlock it from but they are the same skin.

Yes, unlock skin option account binds it. There are literally no options for unlocking a skin and being able to profit from it.

You either account/soul bind it (via equip or unlock skin), destroy it, salvage it, or mystic forge it.

Interesting all the backlash from what is probably just a tweak of what the system was at launch where all the bosses were on schedules like this. You guys hated the ‘window’ system when it launched too, now that it’s back to it’s original you guys are here again.

But these are 3 times more useful to those of us who are already 80, there was no way to convert stones to crystals before, now we all get to use them

Same with all the rest of the sigils, there’s no info on it’s card. Will cause bleeding on crit, will cause burning on crit, will cause all kinds of effects on crit.

Hidden values are a plague on this game, SPELL IT OUT FOR US. I don’t want to have to experiment with hundreds of my hard earned G’s just to find out that it’s 1 stack of bleeding for 1/4 second with a cooldown of 10 minutes.

WTF is an ice nova? How much damage will I do with a Fire Blast or Lighning Bolt (which looks to have been toned down on the 15th in sound and visual effect) – I used to know exactly when it fired off (lightning actually came from the sky and hit your target), but now I have to watch carefully for an electrical haze and the sound effect has been toned down significantly, it used to make a real SNAP-THWACK sound like game lightning does but now it’s just an electrical buzzing sound…

Necro #3? has an ice blast effect but I don’t think it’s the same thing. 4 second chill with 30% from runes would be 5.2 seconds rounded in some way.
Ele Water dagger #3 has an ice blast effect for 4 1/4 second with 30% would be 5.525 seconds.

Anyway, 175 vitality is nice but chill is kind of like the cousin of conditions as the cooldown on the skills that have it are somewhat longer than most other conditions.

See screenshot for “Real Maw”. If the event text on the top right does not look exactly like that, you will not get to fight the champ. The pre-events are no longer tied to the boss event in that they will start without the boss ever showing up at predefined intervals, whereas if the boss event timer starts, the pre-events will start immediately and conclude with the boss event.

And yeah, it was stated in the release notes:

• Scholar Brogun will only wait five minutes for player assistance, instead of forever.
  If Scholar Brogun dies and is not resurrected by a player for a total of five minutes, the event chain will fail.

Each character also gets a birthday present each year (if you keep it that long), probably a mini pet.

Yeah, several of my alts are level 30 now, had plenty of traits unlocked and points distributed where I was happy with them and now I have to start over. This part sucked as I forgot what they were set at. But I guess when they finally get to be level 80 and I can play the game I can start experimenting with them to see what I like…

I hate the level system of MMO’s it’s completely outdated, especially when the game is tailored for max level anyway. “It’s to teach new players how to play a game” – the real world has this thing called trial and error, you touch the stove as a child and find out what “NO! It’s HOT” means because until you touch it, you have no idea why you’re being yelled at. Anyway, if this game actually had a tutorial it wouldn’t need the leveling system. Whatever, stupid trait update.

The Dry Bones armor set is sold by almost all of the karma merchants in the Shiverpeaks, I did all of them yesterday, got quite a few skins. Now for Kryta for all the pirate themed stuff

Note: There’s a medium armor mask that is unavailable to be unlocked from any of the karma merchants except for one. He’s in Dosoev Sky Peak and that skin can be unlocked.

Not sure if it’s a bug or it’s just me but when I was running I popped the potion and had an out of body experience. My body stayed in the spot where I drank the potion running in place while I was moving around in my new Ettin body.

All Black Earth Aquabreathers are just regular weighted head armors, not underwater equipment.

I tried the Air and Fire combo and Air never once fired for me so I swapped it with Torment. Now Fire and Torment fire off almost always at the same time.

It’s funny cause the names that you see (aside from the bugged ones and they’re obvious) are the actual skin names. There’s like 30 different names for Iron Sword, exact same skin but each karma vendor has it’s own name for it. Same with armors. Get used to it, if your preferred skin name isn’t in the wardrobe name list, you’re going to get what the wardrobe says it’s called.

The leather mask can probably be found at the heart in Dostoev Sky Peak. I found that it is the only version of that skin that can be unlocked for the wardrobe.

I’m going through the zones to all the hearts and unlocking the armors and weapons they have. I’ll make this a list of items that are not available on the wardrobe from karma vendors.

1. Timberline Falls: Crusader Brice – “Help the alliance of the Vigil and Priory.”

• Crusader’s Mask and Fine Crusaders Mask – not unlockable – this skin can be found in Dredgehaunt Cliffs at the Dostoev Sky Peak heart.

2. Diessa Plateau: Tamor Woodreave – “Protect Redreave Mill from Sparatists.”

• Redreave Leather Mask – not unlockable – this skin can be found in Dredgehaunt Cliffs at the Dostoev Sky Peak heart. (same as #1)

I had air and fire and air never proc’d. Fire and Torment frequently proc at the same time though

Backpieces you’re already wearing do not preview if you select them in the Collections in the Wardrobe.

The Shadow Behemoth event gets bugged when you kill him while he’s screaming at you spawning those portals. The event code doesn’t clean them up after he dies so they’re stuck in their untargetable stage.

Monetize as in youtube will play ads and you get revenue from it, yes. Monetize as in charge people for access to the site it plays on in an exclusive streaming service, yes. Sell the video itself to people, no.

In simple terms, you’re only making a video and putting it on youtube, there is nothing wrong with that and you can totally take revenue from the ads youtube plays on the video.

yeah it’s now 10:30pm on the 14th right now so we got some time. And no one really knows when it will go live in the first place.

Pretty much the only thing that needs to be done (they’re not going to reset all your character traits) is to go to the pvp lobby on each of your characters (or is it just one) to unlock the pvp skins for your account, then go to Edge of the Mists to do something about glory or whatever on each of your characters.
And make sure that each of your characters has at least 1 inventory slot open for all the unid dyes you’re going to get.

You can also bind your mouse wheel scroll through your mouse software or remapping software to the click action, it is technically 1:1 action. A lot of players do this for this reason.

Yes please, account bound this. I’m holding off buying this for the rest of my characters not because of the cost but it just seems ridiculous to do it that many times, I mean I could probably buy all the stuff I need for a nice legendary with that much gold or be commander on all my characters…

Yeah, Maguuma always does bandit.
Troll, Bandit, (SB), Oak, Spider, Wasp, Boar.

The wait at boar is perfect for inventory management – there’s a merchant right there. And we start at Troll so you can immediately get 2 champs (bandit for those servers that do it) before you have to spend money waypointing instead of what the guide said about starting at boar.

You told of having to start Boar by talking to the lodgemaster but you didn’t tell of having to start Troll by taking the Runestone. Also mention that Shadow Behemoth will prevent Oakheart from appearing until after you take down Shadow Behemoth and that SB has to be manually activated by talking to Sister Brenda outside the Monestary or by doing the collection event to get the ale back from the Centaurs and then talking to her.

Also tell of the courtesies please, wait at each champ (except bandit for some reason… lol ) for the group to get there so all can benefit, it’s 15 seconds at most, you can do it!

A few hours a day isn’t going to bring you anywhere close to a GB even in zerg like areas like WvW at prime time. The only thing you will have to worry about is updates so the next few weeks are going to eat your bandwidth. On the 15th will be a large update, quick bug fixes for it can be expected throughout the next couple weeks. Living Story season 2 will be kicking off shortly as well and those will be several hundred MB in size every couple weeks.

I was going to post a wall of text explaining why none of your passwords for sites even matter but I’m going to say this simply: Hackers don’t care about a users password, they’re not trying to get YOUR account (except for games), they’re trying to get the database on the servers so they can get ALL OF THE ACCOUNTS, not so they can take your account, but so they can take your personal info and MAKE accounts elsewhere with them to get ALL YOUR MONEY!

Anyway, any “easy account security” is already hackable, that’s why that image and technique got posted. It was created by someone that already has the algorithm in place to use it…

Use a password manager or write them down, whichever makes you FEEL more secure – feel because nothing is going to make your account secure in the slightest.

Server isn’t going to be useful for too much over the year after the 15th except for WvW anyway so pick the one that has a name that pleases you most. If you’re into WvW check the leaderboards for one that suits your competitive nature and join one of those guilds.
