Love this idea, as long as there is more variety to the rewards and things required then this sounds like it can be absolutely amazing.
I hope this stupid adventure box never returns. And if it does, for those who like it, enjoy.
lol. SAB may be one of the most successful pieces of content gw2 has ever released. The funny thing it is also completely random, so random that it almost doesn’t belong in game, because of how much it diverges from the lore. But the game design and philosophy behind so much of it is what makes it a huge success. Of course they will bring it back, for the 3rd and 4th world, and then perhaps permanently keep it there.
Whatever you say.
Moon is right, no matter how much you wish to deny it. It has still been the most positively received update yet. You are the minority.
Not denying anything, I’m just kind of baffled by how some of you are overreacting to my opinion.

Great, more sci-fi themes. /sarcasm
I think all the classes should have access to all the weapons with at least three different play styles for each weapon. Now, here is the fun part, you have to hunt down rare bosses in order to acquire these new skills with a signet of capture which will be slotted into your elite skill slot, that or pay the toll with expensive costs with skill points to unlock them but I prefer the first one.
Another tip that’s a confirmed fact for me is that even IF you evade/dodge roll through the lasers and scorch marks without taking damage you still won’t get the achievement since you were technically in them, also to be on the safe side stay clear of the mini scarlet’s telegraphs during the last phase as well.
Guild Wars 2 is the leading MMO in the genre at the moment, wether you like it or not.
Wut?
Name another title, lol
GW2 is a little fish in a big pool full of sharks.
Seems to be ahead by about 14 million users. Not even counting Korean players.
Blade and Soul is the most generic trash I have ever seen. Guild Wars 2 had the right ideals but again, did horribly on executing them. Rewards are incredibly lacking as well.
That is your opinion, over 20 million people seem to enjoy it.
And the point was to show, that GW2 is not the greatest MMO on the market.
Who are we to say the Western market is the only right and important one. I am fairly curious how the release of GW2 in China will go.
All that beside, GW2 needs real content, people are bored or already gone. The LS was a disappointment, and most people do not even want a second incarnation.
So why is it, that ANet is against a traditional approach to delivering content, be it a big content patch or a real expansion. I just don’t see a good reason for it.
Still doesn’t mean it’s good if it has a lot of people playing it. Cutesy anime nuts that like to act like air planes that love fighting with large oversized cardboard box cut-out weapons. That’s fine lol, whatever floats their boat.

Definitely Largos, I’m secluded and enjoy a fascinating hunt. Though I wouldn’t have fins/wings though.
“The years have passed countlessly… I am forever cursed by regret… My son, when will you return home?” Who am I?
Adelbern?
Indeed!

I dislike them all. Can we get characters that have depth?
Hopefully they’re done with the whole “jumbo-robots” and sci-fi sylvari kick, and ready to get back to being Guild Wars.
They renounced that title when they defiled the lore. I couldn’t agree more though, I just want to return to the fantasy setting already.
Was that an satisfying ending? **SPOILERS**

I wasn’t satisfied because the answers to her motives as to how she did it all were not explained. I know of the recap but it would be nice if we could have found them within game. Also I believe it was the wrong decision to kill her off like that.
My Sylvari kind of had a crush on her as well.
I feel as if they should discontinue the living story and use those developers for quality of life updates like adding in weather, seasons and balance/adjustment updates while their main team operates on larger updates/legitimate expansions that don’t disappear. This asking for too much?
Why can’t they work on both at once? And whose to say they ARENT working on an expansion? I mean we kinda just found out that Mordremoth was woken up by scarlet so clearly something big is coming!
That being said if be ECSTATIC if there was weather and seasons!
Along with a darker and more dangerous night would be great too.
I was upset that night wasn’t Dark and Dangerous, especially since they DO have different events at night compared to during the day.
It would be so extraordinary to run into unique things/creatures during night. I agree, felt the same way when I first encountered the night, come on! I want to see some unique macabre creatures doing something incredibly sinister. I want to see the fires of the night to illuminate the darkness. As you said, I would love to see some contrast when it comes to these things.
Indeed, not a lot. However, if Lion’s Arch is done for; permanently ruined, I’d could be happy with that. Always hated it there. On the plus side as well people will be flocking to other cities, which for the first time The Grove was filled with individuals, nothing I hate more than going through a city only to find it vacant of all life.
For the first time I’m going to say this: the achievements are optional, you don’t have to do them. If you however desire the meta, do the daily arc tasks.
For twentieth time im going to say this: i want as many achievements as i can get. We all have our play styles. Everyone enjoys something in the game. Someone likes to collect minis, someone likes to collect gold, karma whatever i like to collect achievement points. And now as you can see, i was right about assault knights. Now they reduced their health by 25% and i wanna say to anet: thank you for listening.
Your comment just proved my point entirely.
Quaggans are very important, they’re the leading source of my character’s nutrition.

They need to end this temporary content train as soon as possible. The hole they dug for themselves is starting to look like an abyss.

See, this is exactly why I wanted to detain her but nooo, everyone appallingly insisted on killing her. This is on all of you, not me. *
Music Monday, Cantha track: Age of the Dragon.
Those models looks close to the first Guild Wars models.
I like it.
Don’t the current models look lazy? The male one to be exact. Would of been nice if they added that one in game.
Yes! Yes! Yes! Needs more lesbian romance!

General grunting noises from the player characters annoy me the most. Can we please mute our characters without muting anything else?

Player housing with the location of my choosing would be nice with décor items I can acquire from various parts of the game like crafted décor, loot bag décor, karma décor, dungeon décor, just cool housing items to collect in general.
(edited by Nightarch.2943)
As long as it revolves around karma/Reward Items. A housing system much like Rift’s would bring me back. Player housing is a great window of opportunity and a good way to show off some of the items they worked on in the environment. Just look at all the cool ambient items there are in this game.

2/10, that is rather generous given the writing quality.
*Spoiler* Braham ruined it for me...

Killing Scarlet was absolutely wrong. She should have stood trial for her crimes and so much more could of been explained. Suppose she was too dangerous to be kept alive by ArenaNet’s standards.
There’s a sequel?
The lore of this game solely pushed me away, and to be honest I feel a bit heartbroken to what they have done to the story. It continues to elude me as to why someone would destroy the “spirit” of their game with one decision, to me at least that was a foul betrayal to their fans.
If they would of actually expanded on the original system I would be happy but they didn’t. The only two things I enjoyed from this game was Dynamic events & level scaling, other then that, it’s not much dynamic than a glass of water sitting in the sun.
I look back on the past year and I find myself wishing that it were all a bad dream and that GW2 hadn’t been released yet. Because, this game, the game I have been playing, it doesn’t deserve the title of ‘Guild Wars’.
Perhaps they have already made an appearance within the storyline… Counting six times now.. Then again perhaps they have not appeared at all.. We have seen them already but then again, who knows…. Who Knows.
Claims to be a living world — -- — Doesn’t have dynamic weathering.
Much of the original lore has been tossed out the window as of this game. I wouldn’t expect anything from the Mursaat in the near future though.
Player Housing where the vast majority of the items can be purchased for karma and made by Artificers. That would be incredibly nice.
…An expansion? Dare I feel hope?
Night time within the Fields of Ruin, kind of looks like dusk to be honest, something like this but just a little darker, something to make the shadows thrive within the night.
Outstanding proposition! I certainly hope ArenaNet considers it! +1
More science fiction crap? I thought I bought a fantasy game and not the Iron Giant meets Narnia crossover.
Somewhat unrelated here…. They could remove the stats on gear altogether promoting the use of more telegraphs of all shapes and sizes or having more complex engagements that no longer use “stacking” or “one shots” as a solution any more unless you’re standing in the fire. Gear should be nothing more but aesthetically appealing with an armour bonus attached.
Honestly friend, I would like to see all existing weapons added to all the classes, as well as new play-styles for every weapon. Variety is key and playing how you like is direly important.
Personally I would like dual swords on my necromancer, non-condition based with an AoE cleave like the others. Or an offhand sword for thieves.
Possible solutions:
Solution 1: An Underflow Server.
Solution 2: Link or merge low population servers.
(edited by Nightarch.2943)
Wouldn’t have mattered either way, the GW2 team just straight up cannot write, period.
Winter Is Coming.
A rewarding loot system.
I know I’ve trolled the forums here and there, mostly complaints obviously but I would like to take a moment to thank the devs who decided upon making the infinite gathering tools account-bound. On a somewhat unrelated note.. Thanks Giving also draws near and I would like to thank the devs for implementing the level scaling system during design, I cannot even begin to fathom on how important and ingenious, original, not to mention innovative to the mmorpg genre this system truly is.
Anyway, I made a post awhile back stating that I would give them my left nut if they ever made soul-bound tools account-bound — and they did, so…. whose that lucky dev that’ll be getting my stale walnut that I always keep to the left of me? More importantly, what are you thankful for in this game? Whether it is the mindless achievement grinds or the pointless additions to the living story, what are the things in Guild Wars 2 that make you moderately happy?
