ArenaNet was piggy-backing off a successful franchise. All they did was slap the same name on it and added a two.
I love how they implemented this change right after the barely noticeable waypoint “reduction costs” was put into place after Kiel was voted into the council, where’s your gods now? Y’all voted for the wrong candidate. #Team Gnashblade.
I just call him Risen Bubbles for short.
Five gods* Kormer doesn’t count because she took what wasn’t hers. Lore wise I believe the Shadow Behemoth would clean the floor with these whelps. That aside, I’m happy as well that they finally decide to revamp world bosses.
However, The Shatterer, to me is something that they should have chosen to revamp first. Compare him to undead bubbles, the overall fight is a complete joke. The only people that die to the Shatterer are those who are afk as opposed to those that die to the ground AoE in the risen bubbles fight. Not to mention the Shatterer was previewed in their commercial trailers more than once, imagine buying this game thinking: “omg that boss is such a boss, I can’t wait to fight him!” only to find out that the pre-event took longer to complete than the actual fight itself… Oh well anything is better than nothing, and I’m pretty happy that they got some challenging world content that doesn’t as far as I know involve permanent stuns and knock backs.
Every fortnight I sacrifice charr slashing their throats allowing blood to spill out, collecting it and using it as ink for my parchment which I obtain from skinning their cubs alive strung up with a bowl below. I thrive on their cries of agony, I savour their pain with malevolent delight, each scream brings me respite from restraint. Every fortnight I capture a charr cub, carving out their eyes from their sockets placing them below to see them selves fall from the walls of Ebonhawke!

Yes, just what this game needs! More time-gated stuff! Let’s take a look at all the time-gated stuff Anet has added over the past few months. Dailies, monthlies, crystal shards, laurels, Mega boss chests, crafting materials, and heaven knows what else. I could probably find a list somewhere where there are about 50 time-gated items.
If Anet adds a single time-gated piece of content, I am making my character leap off the tallest cliff in Tyria, leave him dying on the ground, logging out, and uninstalling the game.
The volcano vista in Mount Maelstorm is where I’d end it.
This looks like a permanent update. I mean, why would you spend all this time revamping a world boss with new achievements and everything just to make it temporary? If they did that knowing it would anger the players then that would not be very intelligent. I am positive I can speak on behalf of common sense and say that it is likely staying.
Relax, it’ll be fine once everyone gets the hang of it. Listen to this, it might make you feel better. Just don’t think of polar bears though.
They’re nothing but filthy animals and savages. Also they don’t run on two feet. It’s like the npcs run normally but the player characters don’t? Zafuq?
/Signed, tired of the visuals. However, I think the off hand should deliver damage as well. Seeing how mostly everyone uses two-handers.
The Trinity adds depth to group play, without, everyone is just a mindless zergling, thus leading to the new title of this game: Grind Wars 2: Heart of the Swarm. Removing it was the first step in the right direction but this game failed to properly execute it.
Don’t even bother, this game isn’t worth the frustration. The developers no longer know what the hell they’re doing any more.
It appears to be Gallifreyan.
Just now adjusted from a knight’s warrior to a rapid because of the final thrust nerf…. If this means a nerf to the Sword/Sword build again I’m finished. I have re-geared my warrior three times now, ascended items included.
The image below expresses my thoughts.

Dungeon content would actually be entertaining if we had a monk. Right now it’s just bad game design.
Would be nice if we could save up to 30 dailies or more so we could actually take a break once in awhile, I hate logging in every day to do X, Y, Z, I just need to get away; it’s like a bad addiction that doesn’t come with any benefits.
Not until next year, when it’s the queen’s birthday again and the Crown Pavilion is reopened. Only then will they be available.
1. Largos
The only other race I’d be interested in playing.Agreed. However I would like to have an option to hide the wingfins though.
Then they are just another humanoid. why bother calling them largos?
Doesn’t affect you, I like to think of it as a potential story piece. So, why would you care exactly in detail?
Wingfins are their race specific characteristic. Its like having an option for charrs ro hide their tail.
Again, this doesn’t have any affect on you. They’re obviously distinct compared to the other races regardless of their fins. Deal with it.
Edit: Not to mention this would make for some great convenience for back items.

Gw2 Dungeon community: Skip, skip, skip, stack here, skip, exploit.
There is something seriously wrong with dungeons in this game. Stating the obvious but I don’t think it’s been stated enough. Seriously, every other game that I played involving dungeon content was extremely enjoyable but here in this game it’s downright frustrating so I don’t even bother partaking any more.
Original Intention:

Did someone say… SUPPLY AND DEMAND!!!?
No I’m sure Scarlet won’t be playing a role in Halloween, Halloween is only focused around the Mad king himself and Original Guild Wars lore. Indeed, the event will return next month.
“Do your worst!”
I’ll be the first to call it: The legendary armour either deals with molten-lava with embers of fire rising from it. And or earthy looking, glowing white/yellow/purple hue with a seemingly crystal formation that’s bulky that appears to be ‘ancient’.
I’m placing bets! Who wants in?

This won’t end well…
Two of the original GW founders left? Great, I already put hundreds of dollars into the game and now I learn that the company may turn it into yet another interwebz grindfest?
I can see why Jeff Strain and Patrick Wyatt along with a lot of great developers left probably due to the fact that the newer guys were screwing up the game and didn’t want to be apart of it. Could is the key word here if it were listed.
I agree they should revamp the Zhaitan fight to where he’s falling into the darkness below but at the last moment he’s like “LOLJK” and gobbles up all of Destiny’s Edge along with Trahearne and then dies.
You must have been thinking of Blizzard, they’re releasing new legendary cloaks in 5.4: Siege of Orgrimmar.
I’m glad they’re removing this stat on armour, I hate carrying greedy useless people through dungeons and events. Those currently posting showing negative responses in regard to this matter can actually do more now with this update instead of wasting space. Grow up, accepting change is part of life.
I think it’s nice but I think there should be more sound and particle effects to them. I’m happy regardless for the skins because I’m tired of the cliché crystal rock formation or the fiery apocalyptic look.
/Signed.
No.
We need Elins and school uniforms…
…make sure that gets on the list please.
No. Just no.
Would be nice if we could have an option to flip them around and wield them normally…
I think they are doing really well, there are many people who have bought well over just the standard box price in gems. Multiply that by a thousands and you got $$$$. Good way to do business, making more money than those p2p games.
You dont have to guess or multiply anything, you just look at NCSfor quarterly reports lol.
Revenue is down 20% since last quarter.
I agree, it’s gone down from launch. How many MMOs have rising revenues? How far down is WoW" revenue this quarter? Have you checked.
Being down 20% means very very little. Either they’re doing well enough to support their business model or they’re not.
It’ll be interesting to see the next quarterly report…as well as how they do in China.
Heard their next expansion is titled “The Dark Below”, There’s no doubt I’ll be returning for that expansion, sounds exciting to me and I love everything that is evil. Hell, the Siege of Orgrimmar is already tempting* me to return. Anyway, this game seems great and all but the living story is taking it’s toll and it’s only been three or four or so fast updates.

My list:
- New empty ended historic lore. Everything we have in terms of history is either a continuation of GW1’s one-sentence historic lore (which is good but not the same), or DRAGONS BE RELATED!!!! content that sometimes feels like a retcon.
- Quests (yes, I miss GW1-styled questing. Events just aren’t the same).
- Real Missions (Personal Story steps are too kitten short and too kitten frequent. Dungeons feel more akin to GW1 missions but I’d like some of such that’s soloable as well).
- Lack of contradictions in the lore…
- Properly fleshed out and defined characters (Logan? Jennah? Trahearne? Scarlet? Come on now Anet, you can do better than that!).
- Permanent PvE Mists – be it the Hall of Heroes, The Underworld, or even the Realm of Torment (<3’d the RoT). Having the Mad Realm was wonderful, though Fractals and sPvP/WvW don’t really feel “mists” like. I think it’s because they took the word literally with all that fog in the nether (as opposed to in GW1, where it was just vast open space, like in the Mad Realm).
- Less roflcomedy in the storyline (stuffed enough pop culture references and memes in there yet, Anet? No? kitten .)
- Missions with fail scenarios (“Protect me” -watches NPC die…revives NPC- Eh.)
- Replayable.
- Non-holiday content that didn’t freaking disappear within 2 weeks.
Lore nut as well? We should discuss lore sometime.
Guild Halls? No. The combat is the first thing and the only thing that needs work. Screw everything else, please, for the love of Sigmar, polish it.
I love the combat in this game. Hell the classes even feel balanced for once.
The combat may be good for you but for a vet it feels terrible. Don’t get me wrong I love dodging and positioning but balanced? I’m speaking from a PvE standpoint, the part of the game that matters, pvp itself matters but it shouldn’t take priority over the core game.
This games end game is PvP. WvW is the only challenging thing out there. Sure there are fractles but that’s the same map over and over again. At least in PvP you pit your skills versus players and not mindkitten ts that do the same thing over and over again with higher health pools and damage.
Wrong mate, PvP in general is the easiest thing in the game.

If we’re never getting expansions we better sure as hell have it introduced in small intervals, the usual, new zones, new professions, new races, new armour. If anything will be the downfall of this game it would be the developer’s poor decision to continue implementing the living story instead of expansion content. New players shouldn’t have to suffer.

The whole dragon bringing about the destruction of the world concept is an overused cliché. I say lure them to a ruse, get them to slaughter each other and when a victor emerges from the dust we kill it while it’s vulnerable. Saves us time from a slow painful execution by horrible writing.
Enough money from the store to delay any expansion? Atleast from that supposed leaked converence call it was.
The conference call was a hoax.
I miss dual profession specialization. I really miss how the skills ‘felt’ like they made an impact in combat not to mention their audio was so well designed, the list goes on but I don’t want to sound greedy.
