-Banner skill 5, Plant Standard, will now have its casting time and cooldown removed.
Ahaha.
Perma-stacks of 25 Might for everyone. Just find a fire field and start pumping.

This is not my Necromancer right now. He is only level 8. But someday I’ll dress him up all fancy-like.
Do you even lift, bro?
What are you guys talking about? I feel left out…
Do you even lift, bro?
How about Rampager’s as a compromise?
Do you even lift, bro?
So this opinion thread asks the Question: What should the Necromancer be really good at? On what aspect of the Necromancer should we excel at? If it doesn’t exist, tell me what you think the Necromancer should be.
Poison/Bleed with some Chilled and Fear thrown in for good measure.
Too bad those Conditions are so kitten in the current state of the game.
Do you even lift, bro?
I find it very hilarious yet also very tragic that our big “unstoppable behemoth” Elite is 110% countered by a simple Cripple/Chill.
You lose any form of Condition Removal in the Rampage form and Stability does not protect you against Cripple/Chill.

first off i will like you to say sorry to the vikings as they at there time where the most feared groupe off people in europe and there ancesters where also the race that bet rome back so they could not advanse more north then they did(the west strongest empire up to moden time, just got there kitten handed to them by some drunking vikings) and they also bet the strongest military they had
my gess for the best civilizatio must be Lions arch as they are not bound to one race but combins them all under one flag/goverment
tho the best race must be the sylvari as they have the knowlege and power to live with nature and gain strength instead of living of it and gain strenget as living of it will end when the nature as nothing more to give of
and there is so many nations based on war that last longer then some of our moden contrues by miles still and if you say that any nation in the moden world is not basing something around war then your greatly mistaken(every nation has a militia in some way and that is the same the charr has)
Uhh… The vikings pushed back the Roman empire while a) it was in decline and b) around 6 other significant forces were moving against them at the same time. I have to stand with you on the Charr issue as the Spartan empire still managed to survive around 700 years.
c. Pax Romana (a long period where the Roman Empire enjoyed relative peace) had led to a disarmament of the Roman army so they were very ill equipped to deal with the sudden aggression.

I use it for the extra kick since that skill is just so amazing.
Yeah it is totally worth the loss of your healing skill.
Totally.

He is standing with his back to a light source, most likely a fireplace or a brazier.
It isn’t actually golden.
Do you even lift, bro?
No, as with most Transform Elites it is pretty much worthless. The only Transform that I’ve found even remotely useful is Necro’s Lich Form.
Do you even lift, bro?
Ahahahaha. As a Warrior I can tell you that Heavy armour’s advantage over Light is so miniscule it hardly matters. Light/Medium Professions gain avoidance abilities such as Stealth, Clones, Death Shroud and various other abilities that far outweighs any advantage of Heavy armour.
If anything, Heavy armour should be buffed because of the lack of avoidance and tricks the Guardian/Warrior suffer from.

So I’m at 80 now and I am starting to wonder about what gear I will invest in. I like Axe/Axe and would like continue with it, but I’ve no idea about Ranger builds..
Do you even lift, bro?
It would be hilariously awesome if they could.

If you go to these guys in Hoelbrak, you’ll find most of the armour pieces the Sons of Svanir use for sale.

I usually equip a weapon that inflicts Weakness for this fight, like Warrior mainhand Mace.
Then I spam /p with “No, your weakness makes me laugh!” in true Guybrush Threepwood fashion.

The latest patch nerfed Healing Signet.
I doubt they will flipflop and buff it now…
I agree, it did heal for far too much at low levels, it was healing for like almost half your life.
For high levels though, when its heals are so poor…
Before it was good at lower levels, but lost all power at higher levels.
Now it is just bad at any stage.
Urgh.

No way, keep your grubby Human mitts off my Cultural.
CULTURAL

why do you need 5 points in wilderness, when you can have have 5 somewhere else, and still get vigor from LR
Pardon my Ranger noobiness, but what’s “LR”?
Do you even lift, bro?
Their game engine can’t handle it. I recall a dev saying it isn’t there for gameplay balance, but technical limitations.
Do you even lift, bro?
How about this?
A slow auto-attack chain with the final hit causing your foe to be pulled towards you?
Think Guardian Hammer auto-attack kind of slow.
Long cast times on auto attacks is pretty terrible design for a melee class.
Not if you can move during it. And considering how powerful a spamable pull would be, I don’t see how we could get around it otherwise.
Do you even lift, bro?
Not to derail the thread too much, but I was under the influence that the Ancients were indeed omnipotent? They just choose not to involve themselves in the affairs of the “mortals”…? When they broke the rules they did seem to have omnipotence.
Or maybe just mind-reading powers, I guess…
Do you even lift, bro?
I get the perma-Vigor one, but I don’t get the Quickness one.
It takes forever to switch between pets…?
Do you even lift, bro?
I don’t consider Bella Swan a legitimate literally character. You have to draw some sort of line somewhere when it comes to quality…
Urgh.
Do you even lift, bro?
If you’ve got some traits in the Precision line and a decent amount of precision overall, you should be proccing bleeds fairly regularly with the Longbow.
I can usually get several bleeds stacked up just by auto-attacking.
Mmmhmm.
The fact that it fires twice gives you two chances per auto-attack to apply on-crit effects. You also get two times the Combo Projectile if you stand in a Combo Field.
Do you even lift, bro?
Mesmers are probably the most broken class in game and feature a steep learning curve, can’t say too much about Necro’s but you should just play and have fun worry about builds later when you get high level!
Indeed. You start out “OMGBBQSAUCE this thing is weak as crap!” to “Muhahaha! You’ll never ever kill me!” when you’ve figured out everything that can be abused.
Do you even lift, bro?
The Medium armour is super sweet on Engineers.
The rest… meh.
Do you even lift, bro?
Not gonna change.
The same thing happens to virtually any armour set in existence; one dye in one slot can appear totally different in the next slot…
Do you even lift, bro?
Don’t mind if it does.
That will make it cheaper to outfit my alts.

My Bears seem to like the taste of me.

How could the gods not know of the Asura? Isn’t that sort of the requirement to qualify as a god? Y’know, omnipotence?
Do you even lift, bro?
Because there will always be new characters hitting lvl80 who needs them.
Do you even lift, bro?
They just can’t. I switch to one in dungeons because unlike melee pets they don’t spend as much time downed. However, I’ve never gotten one to successfully revive me; it just scutters over to my body and stands there.
Perhaps because they don’t have tongues?

Also, why is a member of a species that has only been in Tyria 25 years the “expert” on Orr history and knowledge? I would expect a Charr or perhaps an asura scholar to fill that role.
Because the Sylvari as a whole are the worst kind of Mary Sues, ever. Why would a Sylvari blacksmith be able to even be compared to the best blacksmiths of the other races? Because the writers gave the Sylvari “The Dream” where they gain Matrix-like knowledge of everything.
Do you even lift, bro?
I agree.
People are playing 8 hours a day and 40 hours a week and some a third character. Charrs can’t afford to take care of their children, feed their children breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The taxes are TOO kitten HIGH.

Charged lodestones have lots of recipes for weapons that is in high demand because of the good looking skins. the awesomeness of all the skins made with charged lodestones is many more than any other recipe using other types of lodestones. that is what increase the price and demand for the charged lodestones compared to all the other lodestones.
Yeah that’s bull, mate.
It is not because the demand is that much higher than other Lodestones, it is because there are so very few mobs in the game right now that can drop them. And just to spawn them you have to take a Temple in Orr.
If Anet came to their senses and added more lvl70+ Lightning Elementals in the world you would eventually see a normalization of the price.

Feral Quaggan
Quaggans who gave in to their rage and bloodthrist and lost their minds in the process. Forever trapped in their hulking bestial form these lost Quaggans wander aimlessly, attacking anything and anyone that crosses their path.

Except that the people who tinker with graphical effects are most likely separate from the team that are in charge of balance tweaks.
So.
Yah.

Giganticus lupicus bar none. He is probably the only boss that you need to prepare for. He is tough but the feeling after you down this big guy is the best.
^this.
With his three phases and big attacks, he is the only thing that “feels” like a proper dungeon boss in this game. All the other bosses just feel like beefed up versions of normal mobs, like Champions.
Do you even lift, bro?
An opportunistic Warrior could very well rise in the ranks of such an organization. To me it would be based moreso on personality than their choice of Profession.
Do you even lift, bro?
Exactly.
In essence, the Sylvari are but bees. Take out the queen and the hive dies.
Do you even lift, bro?
First off, congrats on 70 in a week. Nice work.
Nothing to it. Was originally gonna be my Jeweler/Chef alt, so I kinda cheated by maxing those
Do you even lift, bro?
No it is not, that is exactly my argument actually.
Do you even lift, bro?
Yeah but it wouldn’t be as a decisive victory as operation Bombing The Grove would be. It would pretty much annihilate the Sylvari in one fell swoop. Trying to do the same to Asura (with all their labs and stuff scattered everywhere) and Norns (with all homesteads and lodges everywhere) wouldn’t be as effective. Getting rid of Divinity’s Reach and Queen Jenna would be a devastating blow to Human morale/organization, but they’d still have strongholds out there from which to fight back.
You’d have to spend years in the freezing Shiverpeaks to try and stamp out every last ounce of Norn resistance. And survivors could live on and breed to come back and haunt you later on with their descendants.
Do you even lift, bro?
The problem is melee cleave, really. I can’t really babysit my pet 24/7 to make sure it is attacking the buttocks only of a mob.
I gotta look out for number one, me, first.
Do you even lift, bro?
Thanks for adding the new townclothes. They’re awesome! One question though…why is the designer skin 400 gems and the others 200?
But seriously, I love ’em!
Why are designer clothes twice(yeah right. try eight times!) the price of your Wal-Mart clothes?
Do you even lift, bro?
Oh yeah….
If the Charr ever got P.O’d with the Sylvari, they could just start chucking Ghostfire shells in there and that’d be it…
Do you even lift, bro?
Guardians can both pull enemies (Greatsword skill) and reflect Projectiles (Wall skills).
I don’t see why these shouldn’t be used when the encounters are designed in a way that they are advantageous to use?
