Please also change karka kills to count towards Shell Slayer, or ad Karka Slayer as an achievement.
(Oh, and I noticed that environmental crabs still count towards shell slayer, too.)
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
I got an awesome group that agreed to help everyone there get it. Which was pretty cool! Sadly only 3 got it before some CoD type tween came in and started talking about about it’s a competitive environment type crap.
While I can see this as a chance for me to get the achievement, it’s probably not the point of it. I’d prefer if the achievement was achievable without resorting to such, err, workarounds.

let’s see:
Keg Toss (the very first activity):
interesting game design, the endless knockdowns are incredibly annoying (especially as your dodges are highly limited). generally fun idea though, if you could enter with premade teams (ie. guild internal game etc) it could be fun. current state leaves much to be desired though.Halloween:
Clocktower: extremely challenging but for JP fans rather fun
Realm of the Mad King: interesting, good loot and fun for the short while it lasted
Reaper’s Rumble: very entertaining pvp-like game
Lunatic Inquisition: fun tag-gameWintersday:
Bell Choir: my second favourite activity so far, just because it’s so different and new and fun
Winter Wonderland: great JP, lot easier than the clocktower for those who had trouble with it. Skritt AoEs were a bit annoying though.
Snowball Mayhem: really fun pvp game
Toypocalypse: cool tower defense spin, lot’s of fun to play a few times.Flame&Frost:
no activities so not comparableSuper Adventure Box:
my favourite addition so far. extremely fun with rather hard to earn achievements which gave a title. sure dulfy.net made it a lot easier, but still. near perfect execution (some jumps were too far imho).Crab Toss: you enter, have no idea what’s it about, everybody is an enemy, 3 karkas roll around killing you instantly. you’re constantly knocked down, dazed or whatever.
a lot less fun than the keg toss.
for the second permanent activity (or did I misunderstand?) it’s really bad. had they just reskinned the snowball mayhem or maybe the reapers rumble this could’ve been a lot of fun. the mechanics of the Crab Toss are really not fun at all.All in all I don’t really care about crab toss as long as they finally find a way for groups to enjoy these activities together/against each others. they really need to update their PvP-Instance system to allow groups to enter etc. wouldn’t affect crab toss as it’s not a group game, but as I said, not really my game anyway.
tl;dr: Crab Toss is the worst activity (permanent or event related) so far. others were a lot better designed. mainly because of constant CC. not being able to enter as a group makes it even worse (which affects all activities though)
I agree with all of this.

You guys! That is amazing news to me.
I’m ever so slighty embarrassed. Sorry, I didn’t read correctly. I just checked whether I had completed all hearts in Queensdale. I will try the Arlo event as soon as possible.
Thank you for sticking with me
The one in Wayfarer foothills I have tried before, but it won’t let me interact with the rabbit holes, so there’s no rabbits for me to pick up. The rabbit holes are just inactive parts of the scenery for me. Maybe it is different if somebody else is doing the rabbit heart at the same time, or maybe they stay interactive for a while after you finish the heart (until you leave the map)?

There will indeed be a new asura gate linking Lion’s Arch to the new resort on Southsun Cove.
I agree that it seems possible to travel to Southsun from other areas when you’re looking at the map, but we’ve never had support for travel to other zones by swimming across the sea. In the context of the game world, I believe there are some pretty nasty things out in the deep water that would make it difficult to swim that far.
I assume that the inability to swim there directly is probably supposed to give the players a sense of (larger) distance.
However, if it is about nasty sea monsters, have you considered just adding these? If there were champion karkas under water, no one (in their right mind) would want to swim the distance…
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
Hmm, Sadly I have done both of these hearts on my character… so unless there is a third one…

I’m happy to say that we got a few more people through the dungeon today. Sadly there wasn’t enough time to get everyone who whispered me! If I have ignored anybody’s whisper and not got back to them in between fights (or maybe loading screens) I apologize.

Hi people,
That jetpack ain’t gonna drop for me, and I’d like to give my last few runs a purpose. If you have any trouble at all finding a group to run MF with because your character is <80, the wrong class, not fully traited, wearing the wrong gear or whatever else, why not group up with us today?
This is mainly meant to be an offer for people who would like to complete the achievements today. Newbies welcome, and we’ll provide guidance and try to make it the best possible MF experience for you.
All players welcome, as long as they bring a positive attitude, and are willing to communicate & collaborate (i.e., listen to what everyone else says in party chat).
Add/whisper me in game if you like.

Hi guys,
I would like to take a screenshot of one of my characters holding a bunny. Problem is, the only place that I remember offering this as an option is the heart quest where you barter with jotuns (I think) which I have already completed with this character.
Can you think of any other places, events or situations that would allow my character to pick up a bunny? I hope I didn’t miss the bunny train.
Thank you!
PS: not fussed about fur colour, brown/white are both fine.

If you think wearing a fedora is cool, I have some news for you
Listen up, Internet: stop trying to ridicule people all the time and let people wear whatever they feel comfortable in. You don’t have to earn the right to wear a specific piece of clothing. People have no obligation to dress modestly or please you.
Enough with the elitism and putting people down. It massively gets on my nerves.
To the OP: I would appreciate a larger selection of hats in game, be it town clothing or armour. ANet seems to have clipping problems with hairstyles though, so I’m not sure when or if we will see better hats implemented. All the hats we have in game right now only work because all hair is removed from the equation, which makes them look silly, and which makes me not wear any hats on my female characters. So under the current system, a Fedora would not work unless your character happens to already be bald.

If they made the skins more expensive, people would still complain. Besides, I don’t think any regular player is buying the BLC chests, anyhow. I’d guess that it’s only the collectors and possibly people who want to corner the market on rare items.
You’d be surprised.
For some people, playing the lottery is really too tempting to resist. (I have evidence of this sitting next to me almost every day.)
I wish ANet wouldn’t rely on this method to make money.
But people need to pay rent I guess… even ANet employees.

I agree, there’s not much of a difference between going to Southsun by ship or Asura portal.
I believe the map is detached from the rest of Tyria to give a sense of being further away from the coastline. Like the unexplored waters are “compressed” on the map somewhat.
Southsun cove should be perceived as being in the middle of an ocean, not a short jog & swim away from the coast.
That’s my impression anyway.
~ Whips ~ City Minigames ~ City Jumping Puzzles ~
If they really add swimsuits for players then I’m hoping for something a little more interesting than the standard bikini/speedo.

The Enrage buff is ignorable. It does NOT need to be taken off as long as your group is focusing the other down and has enough dps to take it out, while has an eye on the ground watching for the AoE’s. I understand that it might be ‘harder’ with Enrage on, but as long as you can keep an eye out and react in-time to either jump, dodge away or out of the AoE, you will survive. All I’ve noticed with Enrage is that it makes the enemy attack a bit faster, but again, not a really big issue.
I made the opposite experience: when we actively take down enrage quickly, it’s smooth sailing for us, but before when we ignored enraged, it was (on average) a lot harder and longer as we got downed or wiped 3 or 4 times as often…
But not the entire team has to switch to the other boss when it gets enraged. In our last group we had 2 rangers who switched/ dealt with the enraged boss when that came up, and the other three just focused on the main target. That also worked very well.

Yes, joining a guild would be easiest for that (there’s enough non-committal casual guilds out there that don’t require you to interact with anybody if you don’t feel like it).
But you don’t even need that. My boyfriend and I PUGged for a while and some people were not so great and other people were absolutely fantastic (entertaining, positive, patient, FUN) and these ended up on my contact list. Now when I want to run a dungeon, I can (and do) still PUG when I feel like meeting new people, but I don’t have to, because my contact list is full of names of awesome people that I know dungeon runs are fun with.

so………………. now what??? i hate to say it but ive reached what i feel is the end of the mmo.
Been level 80 for quite a while and I’m not bored, because:
- jumping puzzles
- dungeons
- mini-dungeons
- boss encounters / meta-events
- map completion! (I personally loved doing this)
- achievements
- kegbrawler, costume brawls and upcoming mini-games
- learn ALL the crafts!
- guild missions (just did my first bounty hunt today)
- I haven’t even started on fractals
- I would love to check out WvW more thoroughly but I don’t have enough playtime, same for pvp.
- make alts to play other personal stories, or join other people in theirs. At least play one of each: vigil, order or whispers, and priory.
- when you find something fun, repeat! (I have played both SAB and MF quite a lot)
- roleplay (if that’s your thing)
- randomly make friends and do JPs/dungeons/levelling/whatever together with them, they make everything 10 times more fun
So, I’ve been playing GW rather too much and despite falling into sort of a hole a little bit after world map completion, I find myself unable to be truly bored at this point.

Why would you go on your 27 thief if you had an 80 warrior? You dont even have all your skills yet.
This is a very good point ^^
Last night I was on my 27 Thief and joined a PUG and was downed several times during each encounter. The group disintegrated about five encounters in.
I get downed plenty (I mean A LOT) but that’s normal. Healing each other is very very much part of the experience.
Sounds like you had bad luck with your PUG though.
I am going to try it again on my 80th warrior, but I am not sure if I can afford the possible repair bills.
Through the drops from the dungeon you will always come out on top. Yes, you’ll have to repair (on some runs more than others) but you pick up so much stuff on the way (and from 2 chests) that it is impossible to not make money in the process.
If all dungeons are like this then this is yet another game that has content I will never see.
The other dungeons are (to me, anyway) harder and not nearly as fun.
Maybe dungeons just aren’t for you!
However. My boyfriend and I duo mostly, too. If we can do it, I’m sure you can do it. I’ve pugged with characters of levels 33+, and we managed fine. The only groups that I failed with (people ragequitting, etc.) were groups that failed to collaborate. Level, gear and class are not as important as people will make you think; not compared to communication, collaboration, tactics and a good attitude.
That being said, of course it will be a lot easier on a level 80 warrior than a level 27 thief :P
If you would like to still run the dungeon, my boyfriend just volunteered both of us to take you (and your partner, if she likes) through the MF. Let us know.
Edit: We’re on Tarnished Coast (NA).

The problem with required grouping is that it is not easy for everyone to find a group. The cool kids just group up with their guildies and friends but not everybody has that luxury. I stood around for nearly an hour trying to get a group for the F&F dungeon with no luck, it just isn’t worth it.
The real issue here is that GW2 needs some way to make grouping easier for people that are not in the in crowd.
I create PUGs all the time – newbies welcome, all classes welcome, underlevelled and undergeared characters welcome.
When I have people in my group who haven’t done the dungeon yet, I try to make sure that the group sticks together and gives them the time to experience it in full (not run ahead, etc.). Some runs take longer this way, and some are still fairly quick.
It shouldn’t take an hour to get a group together :\

Yes, I’m going to run the dungeon a few more times, but not, I don’t believe the jetpack will magically drop for me.
However, last night I found out that… that’s cool.
I imagined that the dungeon had a chance to drop one out of these four limited prizes:
- firestorm mini
- berzerker tonic
- jetpack skin
- drill toy
I would have totally, totally wanted the drill toy over the jetpack. The jetpack looks cool, but it is just a skin. The drill… does stuff.
Now if the jetpack had been for sale for 250 gems, and the drill was the super rare dungeon drop, that would have been worse… for me anyway.
So I feel that despite RNG hate and despite having to buy gems (although 250 is arguably on the low end of the scale) – I feel I came out on top.
Don’t know, maybe this will lift some of the frustration for some other players as well.

1. Hearts should be repeatable once a week after complete 100% world map and reward should be add for complete all hearts on maps
Not sure about this, I kind of like that you have to do hearts on at least 2 different characters in order to get the 500 hearts achievement.
However, you should be able to repeat a heart quest (without the reward/without it counting towards 500 hearts) if you just feel like doing it, that’d be nice.
2. Achievements for done all possible events in game ( ofc we need check list for this)
This, too, I’m undecided about. On one hand, I’m a completionist and love checklists, so this would be right up my street.
On the other hand, I also sort of like that something new can happen to my character out of the blue.
3. Add specific dungeon path , puzzle to daily
+1
4. More events need daily chest ( hallow in explorer etc.)
+1
5. Reward for dungeon master in gold for character
Undecided
6. 180 tokens from dungeons after complete all paths no time limits u can done 1 and another after month
+1
7. For tokens u can only buy armors, weapons should be random drop from last chest and can be sellable
+1
8. Karka raid should start one a day and reward should reset weekly
Don’t know what this means
9. Maps like Jade Quarry should be good for spvp
Probably
10. Short way but nice for casuals players – Alliance Battle from GW 1 can be implements as a GVG
Not experienced with Alliance Battle
11. After events done, molten dungeon can be added as a fractal
+1 SO HARD
12. Maybe legendary weapons should give +5 for traits
No

It is possible that they level everybody up to 80, but it is also possible that they make the map a 1-80 zone – free for all to go, and possibly safe for low level players in villages/camps/outer islands, but with level 80 mobs on the main land.
This way low level characters could take part in group events, NPC activity, gain access to a dungeon, etc. while the better part of the map would still be level 80.

I don’t want to get involved in the whole discussion about group content vs. solo playstyle in an MMO in general all over again, so I’d just like to reply to the original post.
After MF was so much better than the regular dungeons… I HOPE that there will be an equally fun one in the Southsun story. I am not much of a dungeon player at all usually, but I enjoy(ed) MF so much that I am actively looking forward to a Southsun themed one now.

Tiny bit of feedback from me:
I did really really love the karma items. I enjoyed trying to find the NPCs afterwards and listening to their stories :’-(
So, ANet, if you could do more such things in the future, that’d be great.
(I would have loved more of these, and also possibly randomized in the dungeon so that you’d be able to pick up any two on a single dungeon run and “collect” them the same way you’d collect the new recipes.)
