I completed this achievement on my first run through that fractal, long before the krait revamp that buffed them into absurdity.
I haven’t been able to do it since, but I’ve gotten close several times.

Scale 77 mossman downs my full zerk druid in 2 autos, through protection. Wet noodle it is not.
I guess he thinking that everyone have permaprot+superior fractal defense potion.
I use the offense potions, at least until anet fixes the pole exploit. Sure, I can fight mossman on the ground, but I’m of the group that just wants to get their daily done as quick as possible. High scale fractals are more tedious than they are difficult.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
lol when this gets patched, no one will bother with the fractal anymore, some dedicated will, but as most people couldn’t tank moss man at that level you will see maybe 1 or 2 parties, and they will take awhile to fill, this is about balance and Anet have to see the problem,
Moss Man, and the Vet Wolves hit hard at higher levels, so hard they could down you in 1 or 2 hits, oh but wait I can dodge the attack, WHAM I just lost all boons that where protecting me, and now here comes a random condition followed by oh look im dead.
People will always find the fastest, easiest way to do content, and the current way is the fastest and easiest, that should tell Anet that something is wrong, and people are not enjoying the level so are using a work around to beat it……
Pretty sure you haven’t touched high level fractals without the pole since the patch. Seeing as everything hits like a wet noodle now. They nerfed mob/boss damage into the ground.
Scale 77 mossman downs my full zerk druid in 2 autos, through protection. Wet noodle it is not.

Seeing the fractal we got, and how anet retconned scarlet into it, I reckon the fall of abaddon fractal wouldn’t have lived up to the hype.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
It’s a skill that can single-handedly turn a fight around. Given you can’t LoS it or stealth away, blinding is fair. Remember, you do have the option of using something like “Suffer!” mid-cast to clear Blind.
“Chilled to the bone” can also be blocked and evaded, which I think is silly. It has such a long cast time that even a blind monkey could avoid it with a dodge roll.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
Golemancer Zimm, Asuran Necro.
The Golemancer title was inspired after running through Oola’s lab, where she had expiremented combining Necromancy with her golems. And Zimm is a reference to the Invader Zim tv series.
8/10 for an interesting coincidence.

ANet doesn’t get involved in guild politics.
Guild leaders have dictatorial power over their guilds because that’s what they are. Their guilds.
Fractals aren’t owned by anyone, hence needing multiple people to agree to kicking someone.
Guilds are owned by guild leaders. If the guild leader decides to kick everyone from the guild, that’s his/her prerogative.
The most you can do is try to reach out to your former guild’s leader and apologize if he took what you said personally and that you didn’t mean it. Or reach out to the other officers and members to see if they can’t help you out. If you still want to be in the guild that is.
I wouldn’t want to return to a guild after getting booted for a snide comment. And I wouldn’t want to apologize either…but that’s just me.

I may just be used to the version of Adryn that you fight in dragon’s stand, but those orbs dealt next to no damage to my full zerk reaper. Like 11-12 damage per tick. Stability is completely useless against them though.

Yet another reason to stay away from win10…No wonder M$ was so eager to give it away for free.
Anyway, the only thing you can do is download/install the last known stable drivers and hope for the best.

Turn off sticky keys. That’s usually the culprit. Also, clean your keyboard

After LR breaks the stun, there’s a short window before the evade frames where you are vulnerable to being hit by CC.
Honestly, LR should grant stability for at least the duration of the skill.

Death Spiral lad, not Soul Spiral. I don’t think anyone with any manner of sense would complain about Soul Spiral.
To be fair, it’s easy to confuse skills with similar names. And we reapers have 3 skills ending in the word “spiral.”

Maybe cause they aren’t really in the office until Monday? Easier to post on reddit then on business stuff?
Why would they need to be in the office to post here? Clearly that doesn’t stop them from posting elsewhere.
Posts to the official forums by developers need to be vetted and approved (presumably by some PR person/committee). I assume posts to reddit do not.

Here’s two
1) Sorrow of Angels
Male
NornBorn Raginar Winterwolf, this Necromancer assisted in defending the Kodan with attacks by a local tribe of Grawl. Upon witnessing the efficiency and cold brutality in which the young Necromancer dispatched the Grawl, the Kodan proclaimed “The Spirits weep for such Darkness born within one of their children”. From this, the Kodan began to refer to Raginar under the new moniker, The Spirit Sorrow. He quickly adopted the name with pride. His name was later altered by his human allies to Sorrow of Angels.
2) Harvester of Dreams
Male
SylvariThis night born Sylvari, was granted the name of Harvester of Dreams (a colloquialism for the Grim Reaper, or Death) upon exiting the dream as a fully developed and powerful Reaper (i.e. 30 level scroll and 50 ToK).
While the name is dark, the Harvester of Dreams would rather interpret his name as ‘Gatherer of Stories’
He collects stories of other Sylvari’s experiences after their leaving the Dream so as to better understand Tyria and the people who inhabit this world.
Combine the two and you get an awesome Metallica song.

Norn female. Wielded Kudzu has its arrow permanently nocked. When fired, a copy of the arrow is shot and the original nocked arrow stays in place.
Screenshot?
Kudzu’s design is made up of a dryad (i think) holding a spear. The spear is the same as the arrows that Kudzu fires.

Just for the record – transfusion does nothing for you yourself. It’s your altruistic trait that with healing power can heal for obscene amounts, but you yourself are not healed by it.
Actually you’re wrong, if you are using regular death shroud, and you time transfusion before you leave death shroud, you will heal yourself.
I’m not seeing Transfusion work at all to heal me as I leave DS. Are you getting just one tick, or what?
That’s not how transfusion works. He probably has Life From Death traited.

Lower the character limit and OC your CPU
I don’t recommend overclocking your CPU if you’re using the stock heatsink/fan that was included with the CPU. Intel stock coolers are pretty terrible.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
It does double the duration on the pig forage items that the ranger uses, it doesn’t work on the wolf fear or other pet applied interrupts.
Edit: Just double checked that it still worked and it does. There has actually been a WvW gimmick build for a long time where you use a bunch of modifiers to stack the skull fear up to stupid durations (and in addition to it being well known, the whole thing is nullfied by a single condi removal, so it should be safe to talk about it.)
I tested MoC with foraged items during halloween. The durations weren’t affected at all.

Your first problem is using win10.
Do you have sticky keys turned on?
-BnooMaGoo.5690
You couldn’t take henchmen into end game content. They weren’t allowed in Underworld or Fissure of Woe. It was players or go home.
Heroes changed all of this, tho.
They didn’t. You could only take 3 heroes into the end game areas for the longest time. And I’m relatively certain most people can’t run DOA with three heroes. Or Slavers.
If one person in a thousand could, I’d be quite surprised.
I remember running slaver’s exile in normal mode with 3 heroes. It wasn’t super easy, but it was doable. Kind of like Soloing Arah in GW2.
With 7 heroes, even slavers in HM was a snoozefest.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
It’s been happening to me when I use some movement skills as well. In my case, if I’m holding down a movement key when I dodge/use a movement skill, I won’t be able to move again unless I release the movement key and then press a different one.
-BnooMaGoo.5690

-BnooMaGoo.5690
Memory is allocated much like tetris. Data is stored in the first available spot that is capable of holding it. After a time, holes can appear which can’t fit the size of any new data being stored. Even if there is a lot of memory remaining, there may not be any large enough chunks available, which will lead to an OOM crash.
The memory usage is located a little lower in the log, under process memory. The crash header is the bytes it was trying to allocate.
You should be using the 64-bit client. You simply need to download Gw2-64.exe, rename it to Gw2.exe and overwrite your old one. In rare cases, it will delete and re-download Gw2.dat.
You don’t even need to rename it, or delete your old client. Just drop the 64 bit client into your GW2 folder and make a shortcut to it. Then run that shortcut.

How’s your server doing in WvW this week?
Chance of bonus gathers is directly related to how well your server is doing in WvW. Nothing else affects it.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
It took me a week or two after HoT to realize that a pretty solid demographic that plays this game WANTS it to be a single player EZ mode game like Fallout 4 or Skyrim.
The game was designed (and advertised) to be solo-friendly.
It took you 3 1/2 years to realize this? And you’re surprised that a game designed to be solo-friendly would attract players that enjoy —-— wait for it——- solo-friendly content?
Before the core game launched there was a FAQ and one of the questions in the FAQ stated, can you solo Guild Wars 2. The answer was something like this.
While you can get to max level solo, we believe there are times when the community should have to come together to perform specific tasks.
This was in the FAQ before the game ever launched. Solo friendly doesn’t mean you can solo everything.
For example I couldn’t solo the temples in Orr at launch. I can’t cap the Temple of Balthazar myself.
There have always been things in the game that you couldn’t solo, and most of them were end game content.
If you make an end game expansion, of course it’s going to be end game content.
That’s what Anet did with EoTN as well.
EotN was no different than the rest of GW in that regard. If you wanted to do it by yourself or with a friend, well, there were Heroes. Honestly, while I believe that there should be some group content in HoT, I think Anet went overboard.
First of all, Guild Wars 1 had heroes. But when it was first released, before heroes, you couldn’t solo everything. You had to group up for stuff even in Prophecies.
And yeah, Slaver’s Exile, that’s a very hard solo with heroes and henchmen.
But you’re comparing apples to oranges. Because Guild Wars 1 wasn’t an MMO it was a lobby game. If you didn’t have the right guys with you when you left, there was NO CHANCE of anyone helping you in the open world, because there was no open world. It was an instance.
Saying I could be in an instance with my AI companions and get stuff done….well of course you could. GW 1, in the end, was closer to a single player game than an MMO.
You know, in Dragon Age I can solo everything. So what? It’s not an MMO.
The idea behind an MMO is that there’s a open world. If you want to play a single player game you should. Story wise, they’re almost all better than MMOs. As games they’re mostly superior to MMOs.
What MMOs offer that’s different is the ability to work with other people.
Anet designed something that requires other people to be around, much like the temples in Orr. It’s end game content.
I honestly don’t get why end game content should be soloable.
Prophecies had henchmen. While not as effective as heroes, everything in prophecies could be soloed with henchmen.
I did it. Every mission, every bonus objective. Honestly, outside of missions, prophecies didn’t have a whole lot of PvE content going for it. Which makes sense, considering GW1 was originally marketed with a focus on PvP content.

There are aspects I like, and aspects I dislike. But I love the reaper spec. It has made me main a necro after not playing one for 3 years.

I still don’t have a character in full ascended. So I’ve decided to do that for my reaper…eventually.
It’s been keeping me busy lately.

Rune of the Privateer are the best dirt cheap power runes IMO. That parrot is great for soloing and they are just so cheap.
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Superior_Rune_of_the_Privateer
I would say runes of the ogre are better if only for the +4% damage boost, which is far more damage than the parrot will provide. The rock dog also seems to have better AI, and follows you more closely.
You missed the “dirt cheap” part in my post. 6gold is far greater than 12silver
Most average players can make 6 gold in an hour. I get that runes of the privateer are still cheaper, but the flat damage boost is worth it.
Edit: I forgot to mention that a huntsman can craft runes of the ogre for a bit less than they cost on the TP.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
That is actually something i’ve never used so thank you Quarktastic. It did not solve my specific issue but I did learn something so all is not lost
You’re right. Because the map layer with the ley line confluence waypoint isn’t selectable from DR. Like I said, not all map layers are visible from all maps, which is something I wish Anet would address.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
Hmm I have the bee and tried it on just to see what it would look like. First I got fog and no snow. So I took it off – only I still have that fog around my toon. Even put it in the bank, logged off and back on a again and it still had the fog. Logged off, logged on with a different toon and then back – still fog.
But did you get the fruit back?
-BnooMaGoo.5690
Talking about Superspeed, it would be much better if it gave 100% extra speed (double speed). As it is right now it is barely noticeable in comparison to swiftness and quite useless.
Are you talking about in or out of combat?
Super speed is most definitely noticeable in combat. Super speed and swiftness function the same outside of combat due to the global movement speed cap.

You can change which map layer you are currently viewing by clicking the squares in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. This function isn’t always available (such as inside Tixx’s workshop for instance) But I’m always surprised at how many people don’t know about it or know how to use it.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
Think of it like level caps in other MMOs. Masteries were just Anet’s version of raising the level cap.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
I got it from the mystic forge during one of the HoT betas, so I presume it still drops.
I found it strange that it was account bound straight out of the forge. Now my necromancer uses it.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
thanks for the info guys, i legit had no idea, i was just so infuriated that some other class had life leech, and i knew about the thief one, that’s no big deal..
i just think necromancer should have a better single target life leech, or rather.. a better signet of vampirism =/
ACTUALLY it’d be great if we had a life leech minor trait on reaper spec that only activates when hitting less than 3 things, with increasing damage and siphon on only 1 target. “siphon health when hitting 3 or less enemies, siphon more when hitting less enemies” “3 enemies: 30, 2 enemies: 50, 1 enemy: 70” some kitten like that eh? so we dont need to respec to blood when we want to siphon, allowing us to keep spite reaper and reaping
idk.. my mind just goin off again
Dagger siphon skill heals for ~3k. Signet of the locust heals for ~1k per enemy struck (hits up to 5 enemies).
Necromancers really don’t need more siphons.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
I got hit by plenty of mobs while climbing that spire, and I still got the achievement. Go figure.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
someone just told me that attaching runes to items in your inventory soulbinds it? is that true?
That’s true. The only exception is ascended armor, which is always account bound.

Hi, I found a bug in the skill Soul Spiral, skill four of the reaper in transfomation. This is a bug in which only happens on female caracters in my account. On female caracters this skill have less damage compared the same skill on male caracters, Have less hits to, a problem with animation and information of the damage. It’s bringring problems to me, i spend all my dungeon points, my badges of honor, gold and Weapon box’s to find this bug at the final level. Can you help me? This problem have a solution?
(To the left are the female, the right are the male caracter, both with same builds, same stats, same bons and conditions, using the same skill ) Soul Spiral – Reaper’s Shroud)
Try using the skill on two enemies with the same health. Or try disabling the trait “close to death.”
-BnooMaGoo.5690
as for the budget… $1100 doesn’t even qualify as an “entry level” system. ask any enthusiast who spends triple that on custom water cooling parts alone. (forget about those $150 corsair water-cooling kits for high-end rigs) a serious competitor in the PC world buys motherboards that can handle cold bootups with LN2, which typically run 400$ and up. and they typically run 3 or more top-of-the-line video cards. which typically run $600 and up. a typical “high end” machine will run you a good $7000 minimum for the parts.
Are you serious? $1100 is well into the high-end gaming PC budget level. We’re not talking about kitten measuring machines, we’re talking about reasonable computers. Claiming that $1100 isn’t even “entry level” is absolutely laughable.
but of course, this isn’t about “high end” competitive rigs. this is about a budget $1100 gaming PC.
Budget PC level is like $350-550 lmao, $1100 is nowhere close to budget
$350? My processor alone cost that much.
I agree that $350 is low end for a “budget” PC, but you don’t go putting an i7-4790k in a budget PC either.
$500-1000 is what I would consider a budget PC in today’s market. Granted, a $500 PC isn’t going to be much of a gaming rig, but it might handle a game like GW2 on low settings.
-BnooMaGoo.5690
I think it meant to say that “A lovely gift is coming soon®.”
“-to a Gem Store near you.”
-BnooMaGoo.5690
I didnt see that in neither title or text so…
Text talks about dungeons and HoT meta events. I don’t think any of those happen anywhere but PvE …
I was running Ice for a bit, but then I felt compelled to give a utility slot up to keep my 25% run speed and put in Travelers instead. They aren’t min-max, nothing I do ever is, but I really hate running at base speed.
I rarely find signet of the locust to be a waste of a utility slot. Granted, it’s not the best utility skill you can put on your bar, but if there is more than one target to hit, it can be a solid secondary heal skill.
