I don’t run this setup but I find it funny that people think warrior is the most killable class. I wont go too much into my build but I have mostly pvt gear and I run sword/shield & greatsword. I don’t die unless I decide I’m going to go down with the ship so to speak. Even then, I’m one of, if not the last man standing in a losing fight, not counting those who ran away of course :P The most killable class is the one with the worse person playing it.

I generally run bunker shout heals, but at the end of the day your just prolonging your death. Sure it’s nice to be the last one standing in a zerg, but then your alone and and most any class can 1v1 you.

Yeah I felt bad for the like 2 guys that were in CD garrison, salute to you. You are the real hero’s

I came on the map after they hit bay, think I was commanding, heard people saying bots had damaged the wall, now I know what they were talking about.

I agree warriors need help with sustain, I just don’t see the point of making warriors the same as guardians

have to remember guardians have a tiny health pool, and even if we spec full tank on our warriors we are still doing more dps than a guardian

I wouldnt join a party asking for only warriors, even though I main a warrior. Plenty of guilds out there you can do 24/7 dungeons with that don’t care what class you are.

You can see why they did it, bunker guardians are very strong and warriors needed some love, but I don’t think giving boon hate in a tree hardly anyone uses is much help to warriors, and the last thing warriors need is more damage.

As someone who mains a warrior I wont be getting the boon hate trait, I am looking forward to getting regen on immobilise though.

I tried glamour recently with 1100 condition dmg, It did seem OP against zergs, back to shatter like everyone else

That warrior killshot was using a long since fixed bug (piercing shot was multiplying damage) it was also against an uplevel.

I’m surprised mag never had more oceanics, when the game first came out and SoS was full, people were saying mag was the next best thing for oceanics

From my experience of being on sos it can take guilds up to a month to leave. It requires a lot of gold which not every member has

I was going to say thanks to the CD guild that left a banquet and guild keg and banners in briar lords room on sos borderlands, but we all got drunk and kept falling over.

I remember a few days back, we were taking hills back on sos, and bay got contested so I went to see whats up. on way from garrison to bay some thief jumps me, so I just ignore him and run to bay while he presses 2 over and over. I get to bay and find 20 guys catting the wall, call in the other to come sort them out.

You always have to wonder if that thief knew they were taking bay and was trying to distract me, or was he thinking, omg why wont this warrior 1v1 me.

pressing matters. Not gonna lose a keep over 1 thief.

But seriously, the SoS crew in EB really needs to work on their open field engagements. Half your blob stays and fights, well gets ran over, and the second half runs. I just don’t get it. Who commands in EB during NA prime anyway?

I was in sos bl for that, sorry we didn’t have enough numbers to provide much a challenge, you guys could have at least flexed those muscles a bit, instead of staying back on trebs to take sunnys wall down, was hoping you would use the golems to make it less boring.

Unless people stop stacking servers or Anet upgrades all their server hardware it’s not going to go away. You can either wait and hope Anet does it, put up with the skill lock or move to a different server

You saying I can dodge boulders? Im saying when your ready you wont need to.

Server side hit boxes are so bad that I walk straight through boulders in cof, I have to look at the boulders, calculate my latency, virtually imagine several invisible hitboxes and walk through Unscathed.

That said I do run zerker gear in dungeons (knights in wvw), but I don’t ever want to hear an American call me a bad player, when I’m doing the exactly as well as you are but with 10 times more difficulty due to latency.

Bit of credit to those of us who arent in America, protecting your keeps while you sleep and playing the game at it’s highest difficulty.

I would say it depends if you leading your guild or militia. Remember that the enemy will be looking for you, they will be mass targeting you as soon as they find the commander buff.

I found you can yell push as much as you want, the militia just wont run into a zerg even if you’ve calculated the odds and deemed a successful outcome. I run a bunker warrior and lead by example.

I think mesmers are good commanders because they don’t have to rely on others for portals etc

Not sure about d/d ele, if I was doing it id run staff for the fields, then switch out when you need swirling winds

He was pretty easy to spot, I didnt see the asura though!

I guess Gunnbbang was the charr kiwi commander in sos borderlands before, boom 4 superior rams and took sunny, nice entrace to the map, was nice to see some late night action, I dc’d after they left bay so not sure how things went from there.

Plenty of good servers out there with strong helpful pve communities and plenty of wvw action

I am having the most fun in SoS nowdays then ever before, now the server is almost like one big guild. We are helping each other flip temples, doing fractals on the community team speak with people from all different guilds. Working well with each other in WvW and the new guild events. Never been a better time to check us out.

Troll is so unfun and overpowered now. Seriously just have giganticus Lupicus burst out of the wall instead as a bonus event.

some precursors cost the same as like 7 sets of t3. Looking at it that way they are quite cheap, or precursors are quite dear..

I believe the issue on hand is about a troll siege capping you. Just because an ex-member did something before doesn’t mean you can point your finger at us for everything.

Beside, someone has now said that troll was already in your server before you came down, so your tone is unwarranted

If you see a mesmer from my guild doing this, I will report them myself. I wont going around telling people it’s clever use of tactics. I’d even fraps myself gkicking them and telling them exactly why and post it here for all you to see.

As opposed to KoME who not only rezzes the mesmers through walls, but then takes the known exploited portal, takes the tower knowing they have only got in via exploits, then tells anyone that questions there behavior it wasn’t exploiting it was clever use of tactics, then kicks one guy and pretends they never said it was clever use of tactics, pretends they never took those portals, pretends they never took those keeps.

You want to get your rep back, at least own up for doing it instead of blaming it on one guy like they forced you to rez, take the portals and cap the towers.

This is pretty much the thing. During NA (and to an extent, EU, given that none of us have a huge EU presence), the three worlds are largely well-matched. Heck, SoS has come into reset for the last two weeks and has been behind for the first few hours, during NA. However, especially with the departure of CD Oceanic/SEA guilds to TC, there’s less of a response to after NA dies down. Thus, the scores are what they are, but if I were CD or SBI, I would not feel hard done by my own performance.

Bah, I miss out on a night of WvW and I miss out on sitting bags! Kidding anyway, but there are far more defensible camps. I can’t exactly blame the [ToP] guys and gals though – they’re not exactly huge and a bunch of them were levelling alts last time I checked.

Problem I see the most is the 100g false sense of authority and ego boost. IMHO good commanders are defined by their guild group that accompany them. You ever see a commander with [blank] and not many [blank] around him in coordination then you’re best off looking for one that does. WvW requires teamwork, a commander as a individual means nothing.

The “buy a commander tag” system is a flaw.

Hi Paul, your actually a good class for survivability, your spec is full DPS though. it only costs a few silver to resepc so try

0/0/30/30/10 with altrusic healing, and symbols heal etc, this gives you dodge healing aswel. Also your weapons matter. Mace&shield Mace&focus Hammer are more defensive. Also when you get on a map just ask if anyone wants to party up or follow a commander. If you roam around alone , your going to run into people that out searching for lone players and generally are specced for small duels (thieves and eles)

Sometimes bad situations are all thats left, when timezones change and your left with a 10vs60 situation and your job as a commander is to slow down the loss of everything on the map.

But yeah not much point yelling at militia, just do the best you can do, that goes for commanders and people who follow them

by the looks of that screenshot CD has no shortage of commanders

badges are easy to earn through JP with alts, it was sadly the most efficient way, people used to call them badges of jumping. I like the idea of working it into wxp.

That’s lag, I have a remote aussie connection and when my lag gets bad, I’ve had my zerg tell me I’ve teleported from greenlake to greenbriar.

from my point of view, just before free transfers ended, jade quarry recruited so many guilds that they became unbeatable and tier1 went from pretty close match ups to knowing no one would ever beat JQ again, it only took a few losses and guilds started leaving, This is the first week since t1 that we havn’t had guilds leaving, because there are only pvx/pve guilds left.

We have a great community now, we know those that stayed are loyal and care about the server, we’ve been having fun still even as we drop tiers, it’s nice for our morale to finally be winning after so many losses.

Stop fighting thieves and ele’s I guess they are the ones that run

have not seen much small groups yet, my 5man kept hitting 10-15 sized cd groups. Shout out to the nasty mesmer and bunker ele duo from GDAM, you guys are hard to kill (im the norn warrior with volcanus)

SoS has no more wvw guilds left to lose, only militia and PVE guilds left.

I’m glad DB appreciates NNK, that size force at that time zone isn’t something you normally see outside of T1. It also makes me kind of sad for them that they have never had a good fight with equal numbers and probably never will.
