How do I do the screen shots where it doesn’t show any of the interface like the skills and map and chat?

I took a 2 year break. I was amazed when I came back it was all the same just new zones.

Besides that they just changed the trait system really.

They buffed armor stats and removed stats directly from traits

So, what would make it bad? Is being worse than all other classes and being unwanted in groups not sufficient? Why are people jumping through hoops to not admit the necro is terrible when even they say and define just how terrible it is.

I really enjoy torch with my scepter.

Just sick of the obstruction that it always finds a way to hit on a flat open area.

Skill 5 I rarely use though. Only to tag mobs mostly.

Well I only have about 725g. I need 3000g just for weapon skins on my rev I really want, plus I’ll want armors as well. So farming silverwastes and world bosses til I can afford it all

Op is asking for weapon swapping out of combat. There is really no reason why that shouldn’t be allowed as opposed to opening inventory and having to do it

This is my favorite game now to though because it’s caudal and works great for someone who works full time. 2 hours a day is all I ever need. I can always do world bosses to when I need something to do as one is almost always going

I’m at work right now curious if I should bring my necro to silverwastes to farm events. I have a dagger power build. Is it worth it running all the way over there or should I just stick to my guardian?

If those are my only options I’d pick 1

From the other legends what do to think glint needs the very most?

1. Shield that can offer protect, and blocks.

2. Utility skill. Passive grants 25% movement speed. Activate to remove one condition and regeneration.

3. Possible trait line, while wielding a shield gain toughness (depending how well our shield is this may be needed)

Personally I’d love if shield was as good as guardians focus for blocks and regen. What do you all want to see to complete this class still?

For example I loved the sylvari the most. I really enjoyed learning about trahernes sword and the story behind that.

I am quitting necro. I have more faith in Shiro (and Mallyx) to fill the attrition playstyle.

Yea from the video it looked very weak, both in damage and utility.

I don’t know if it’s because it wasn’t full berserker or something but even Sword’s 3 felt very weak for 10 sec cooldown too. It looks like it does less damage than auto-attack. I thought it could be like pistol-whip damage or something.
I really hope it won’t turn out to be another spam 1 then wait till target is dead, it’s really boring.

I think the damage might be similar to guardians sword 3. Just a little more damage then auto attack.

Just spread out over multiple enemies if they are in area. But it will still be a nice evade regardless

Is it possible to remove the glowing hair from sylvari? Such as the picture attached i really wish it would not glow green like that.

Right now it’s really hard to say if you plan on getting hot and specizalations. This Friday they are announcing the tempest. Maybe watch that before deciding for sure

I have 2 questions.

Does magic find effect chances of getting anything good from mystic forge or is that pure rng?

How the heck do I get my magic find up. I salvage every single thing I have and only have 83% right now. Is there a secret item people buy and just salvage that won’t make me to broke?

It’s better than playing Warrior. Warriors have 1 mechanic and it goes like this: “Press this button and ignore all other mechanics for a short period of time. If your opponents aren’t dead by the time this mechanics ends, their mechanics will kill you.”

Yeah, I’d take Revenant every day of the week.

You and me both. Warrior I found boring as can be. Was really excited for reaper. But heavy armor, medium health, sword as dps weapon. I’m all set

After hot release anet should really really put some though into this. Let’s make off hands the 3rd auto attack chain.

Guardian for example with a sword, does first 2 auto attacks and if wielding a shield bashes the player, if torch hot with 3 stacks of burning for 1 second, if focus remove a boon and damage.

This game sadly always lacked true build diversity. By setting off hands to effect auto attacks this could really change builds.

Thoughts?

Me personally I hate gs. I only use sword focus. And scepter torch combo. I have never had any issues what’s so ever with dps,combined with great survival. Personally “meta” in my opinion is a bunch of bull. People will perform better always playing how they enjoy to play and know how to play.

I’ll be using sword shield glint I think. Or sword axe in dwarf stance.

I just hope we finally get a shield where I’d actually use the 4 and 5 skill. I’ve been wanting a sword shield class sense release. Warriors sword sucks in pve so don’t use it, and guardians shield is kinda useless in open world pve as well

I am really debating between “Droid” which I simply love as its the one word character name I got by logging in right away on release. And also the name “once a legend” as this was not only my gw1 character name but it fits so perfectly with this class now.

What names are you looking to use?

Oh gosh I was in the same boat.

I had 2 characters I really wanted to switch. Realizing that would cost a beyond insane amount for 3 contracts I ended up deleting a level 80 in full exotics (salvaged it at least) just to buy one contact.

I’m gonna lose it if I hear “more vilots I say, less violence”

Well right now I’m playing necro. The damage is kinda pitiful. I’m sure this has got to be better lol.

If I do just open world pve is a sword viable now at all with a full condition build?

Reaper seems pretty solid

I was soooo set and ready for my reaper til I saw shrio legend. Now I hit a huge wall deciding what to pick. I’d most likely pick glint over shrio but the 1 and 3 sword skill with the trait line I really want

I really hoped shrio would have a 25% speed boost for running in the trait line if wielding 2 swords. Owell ha. Still want to play like crazy

Any news on energy cost on weaponskills? They did not seem to have it from the stream

I had an internal command on to not use energy/recharge probably. Weapon skills cost energy.

I still think it needs to be reduced, or allow swapping legends to just be 100 (which currently feels like a 50% cap anyways, because you rarely have time to sit and build it up in a real pvp scenario). Right now using a 50 energy utility after a swap just feels really really limiting and harsh. Just some food for thought. I’d be more comfortable with energy costs on weapons if we had more energy after a swap to even use.

I didn’t notice, but do auto attacks restore energy?

Shrio….looks more fun then thief but in heavy armor with more health

The traits look like they pair extremely well with even auto attack

Auto attack simply looks like the most fun one in this game

We can weapon swap! We can now swap to range or ventari for great heal support

Shrio simply just looks FUN. Everything about it looked like it will be fun

Dual swords! We can finally play in pve with dual swords on a heavy class that isn’t condition based

I got to 9 and couldn’t read anymore. You are just a pleural that wants everything handed to them for free without doing anything.

By the way wvw used to be needed for map completion but was smartly removed due to not being able to complete it on so many servers

Yes it’s true we can swap our 6 through 9 skills. But we still don’t even get to pick the ones we may want. Plus they won’t do much good if I’m running around in silverwastes and sandstorm champion appears. That fought must be ranged.

As someone above said what does a d/d ele do? Well very simple they swap to a staff.

Shrio legend sounds like a blast! It really does. But what are we supposed to do when in the middle of a fight and we need to range something when melee is not a choice?

Anet this is still a huge concern for me that has not been addressed. Has there been any discussion yet on weapon swapping as there really is no reason the class shouldn’t have it. I would love a reply on this
