I used to play Tera as a Warrior evade Tank (during beta and just after). Every game I qued as Tank I was vote kicked on entry because people wanted a Lancer. Finally got 2 of my friends to dungeon run with me and never got kicked once. Also got told I was a better tank then most of the Lancers the others had played with lol.
Those kicks were getting handed out left right and centre because people wanted the loot for themselves.
The same would happen here, 1 guy would play solo que for the first time and BAM —the dirt is gone-- …. I mean, 72hour dishonourable.

Arcane power is supposed to be 5 critical hits. You can infact get 7 from it if you know how. But for the most part, this was bugged at release and some fixes have come out for it.
E.g. Originally all charges were consumed when using Churning Earth due to the cripple effect. And different attunements would have different results with this skill.

In War Thunder, Warframe and Planetside 2 I regularly buy the more expensive packs because they have discounts. In guildwars 2 I buy what I need, with a little spending money left over.

GW1 waypoint travel system was free. However, there were no waypoints in the open world.
So how about making the starting areas of a Zone free or cheap (the ones at the portals) then the other areas within that zone are full price. This would allow you to go to whatever zone you would like, but for convenient travel through the zone you would have to pay a sum or walk.

I missed the opportunity to get the unlimited tools and would greatly appreciate the return to the store of those tools. Who else thinks that they should bring them back in a bundle?
I think they should have been permanent items. Also the unlimited axe would have been cool with the current effect but the Black Lion skin axe (the one with the death spinning blade on it)

Part of the reason dueling a warrior is fun, is knowing that you can successfully dodge if you pay attention.
You only have so many dodges against a CC warrior, though. Switch out of that bad 1v1 weapon that is the greatsword and put in a hammer and run axe/mace.
You suddenly have 3 CC’s in a hammer, and another one on the axe/mace that happens to be ranged as well. So you either force them to be CC’d to death or you force them to use dodges on CC and eat the eviscerate.
The most fun duels for me are against DD eles. Every single skill an ele has outside scepter air is telegraphed entirely.

Dodge, Dodge, Heal Dodge, Dodge (adventures), Energy (swap to same set) Dodge then the dodge from natural endurance regen will be back soon.
That doesn’t even include weapon abilities or the invisibility.

It is very bursty even at range where you can start and finish battles without you getting to melee distance. Of course it has the choice to be in melee and then out to range to continue bursting as well. It is not glassy at all even on zerg vs zerg encounters yet it is not very bunker either to the point where other burst type of players can’t take you out in seconds if you don’t outplay or nuke them first. Being experienced on both type of weapon sets I find the s/d to be much more complicated than d/d so that also fits on your number 4 dislike. It doesn’t have good amount of boon duration so idk where it stands on your number 5 category.

I would like the option of having ranged attacks work against stealthed foes. Currently you can smash out your melee auto attacks and hit the stealthed foe while he is stealthed. You cannot use ranged attacks easily however. Scepter on the elementalist, for example, only has 2 of 4 auto attacks that you can use against an invisible foe but to use them you have to move your camera to an angle that allows the attack to go straight and not into the ground. I’m sure other classes ranged abilities are the same.

I think shooting before the Invisible pops up is defiantly required to get a good rhythm going.

Mist form allows condition damage to continue to tick on the ele…. anyone know if this is a bug or intentional? Just started noticing it on the Zephyr patch release (mid-June).
If you changed out of a 30 water build you may have noticed, as with the cantrips give regen trait and the regen cleanses 1 condition previously you might have removed a condition that now stays.
It is intentional though. Invunerablities prevent future damage while active, they do not prevent current conditions.

I only use Dragons Tooth for stomping when there are enemies who can burst me.

If there are allies nearby, signet of air or EA dodge for a down are very useful, both provide an aoe blind. Then for backup you have air 3 on sceptre.
Heck if I’m really wanting someone dead, nothing better then Swirling Winds or Magnetic Wave (for thieves or warriors) or Obsidian Flesh. But you wont find those on daggers.
Just a note though, Magnetic Aura isn’t possible in any way other then the skill. There’s no Earth field.
There is a rune set. Gain Magnetic Aura on 20% hp. I think its Superior Rune Of Earth
The game desperately needs more skillshots, not less. If anything, most other skills should be changed to not home in on their target.

I would like to know everybody’s opinion on this as well, both for pve and pvp. Seems like dropping boon duration would cause fury uptime to drop significantly and in longer fights I wouldn’t be able to keep up 20+ stacks on might on everybody around me. That’s one of the problems I have with my elementalist’s builds, since I always roll with friends, it feels like dropping aura share and/or boon duration is too big of a dps loss for my whole team while I gain a decent but probably not comparable amount of damage.
AFAIK, boon duration for PvP (spvp) is only really good on powerful boons or long duration ones. That is because you only get 20% duration from the Monk/Water unlike the 40% from PvE (60? with the majors as well). I’m currently running a Prick Protection uptime build so I’m using the Forge Runes (20% prot duration, 10 sec of prot under 50%) but 20% of 3 seconds isn’t all that much (.5 seconds), it is an extra 2 seconds every 3 sets of protection I use (if the game works of small percentages in the first place).
Rune of the Forge (x6):
4x = 20% prot duration, 6x = 10 sec of prot for 60 sec cd (only activates at 50% health)
Rune of Earth (2x):
2x = 15% prot duration
Protection from Forge runes =
3 secs x 5 sources = 15 seconds + 5 seconds (earth swap) + 10 seconds (forge 6x) = 30 seconds total + (10% (10 arcane) + 20% (forge)) = 39 seconds on a 60 sec cd (to combine all of these skills at once). 39/60 = 0.65 protection per second, however 10 seconds is a conditional based whereas all other sources are not.
Prot per skill recharge. I think this is the right calculation, basically I’m trying to work out if I have 100% protection (a number greater then 1) could just be stabbing in the dark though. I basically take how much protection I have, find its duration relative to the skill that grants it’s recharge then add all skills that grant prot together to find the total ratio of protection. If it is over 1 then (if my calculations are correct) I should have 100% protection duration.
3/25 (heal) + 3/16 (fire) + 3/24 (earth) + 3/24 (air) + 5/12 (earth swap) + 10/60 (forge) = 0.12 + 0.195 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.42 (rounding) + 0.17 (rounding)
1.155 + (10% + 20%) = 1.5015 if you can keep the sources up (eyeballing forge x 6)
= (0.12 + 0.195 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.42 (rounding)) + 30% = 1.2805 this is more realistic to keep our prot up as 10 sec at 50% hp is conditional thing.
Protection from Earth x2 + Forge x4 runes =
3 secs x 5 sources = 15 seconds + 5 seconds (earth swap) = 20 seconds + (10% (arcane) + 20% (forge) + 15% (earth)) = 29 seconds on a 50 seconds cd. 29/50 = 0.58 protection per second.
Prot per skill recharge rate:
3/25 (heal) + 3/16 (fire) + 3/24 (earth) + 3/24 (air) + 5/12 (earth swap)
= 0.12 + 0.195 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.42 (rounding)
0.985 + (10% + 20% + 15%) = 1.42825 this is more realistic to keep our prot up
Protection from Earth x4 (4 sec of prot every 30 seconds, 25% activate chance when hit)
3/25 (heal) + 3/16 (fire) + 3/24 (earth) + 3/24 (air) + 5/12 (earth swap) + 4/30
= 0.12 + 0.195 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.42 (rounding) + 0.13r
= 1.115 + 25% = 1.39375
or 1.115 + 35% (with 2x water for e.g) = 1.50525
Results:
Forge6 = 1.5015 v Earth2 Forge4 = 1.42825 v Earth4 Water2 = 1.50525 (Earth4 = 1.39375)
Effectively Foreg6 is more 1.5015 rate for the first set of skills if your forge x 6 pops at the right time.
Again, the ratio of protection calculations could be completely wrong, just stabbing in the dark really. I also may have gone of tangent here. Bascially what I’m trying to say is that if you have boon duration, the shorter boons don’t benefit to much unless you have high access to them. The long boons benefit a lot more.
The reason water and arcana feel mandatory are because of the important stats on top of nice traits.
Lowest hp bracket=need more vitality and heals= water
All builds need swapping=intelligence=arcana (except for fresh air and burst builds)The line would still feel as mandetory tbh, this is just nerfing EA, which I feel competes with elemental surge fairly well as it is.
Who in their right mind would take Elemental Surge over Evasive Arcana…?
It’s better than EA when running arcane wave and power.
trying to fit 2 arcanes in your utilities already makes it worse.
Lightning Hammer + Arcane Power + Arcane Blast with Elemental Surge (Crazy PvP)
Start with hammer equipped then Arcane Blast in Earth for imob
Auto Attack with hammer using Arcane Power
Target immobilized for a large amount of that damage. Bring your S/F buddy to the fight, and get the 20% extra for KD damage
Frost Bow + Arcane Power (PvE)
Start with Frost Bow equipped, Frost 5 target (with a teleport for more fun)
Pop Arcane Power and jump on into fire
Frost Bow 3 for 35 seconds of burning (you heard correctly, 7×5 seconds of burning – “bug fix” inc)

How are small parties going to be factored into this new queue system? Usually when i play i just queue up for tpvp with my gf, but if the tpvp queue is separated into solo and group queue, with the hope that most players playing by themselves will use solo queue, won’t queue times for small groups turn into long lines at the donut store?
I’m thinking that it would probably take longer to appropriately match a group of 2 with another group of 3, right? So basically no more small groups, must have 5 players to avoid long queue times??
Please correct me if I am wrong. am I misunderstanding this new solo q?

I think you are smoking to much there sir. I love the new system, can finally find what I’m after without having to alt-tab to find what rune does what through GW2skillz, then find the rune. Improvements can be made however.
Treat the vendor like the bank / multi-bag view inventory. Each sub section would be a separate rune per its stat. Each yellow divider could be coloured per its contents (blue -healing, red – precision, green – toughness etc etc). And for the love of all that is mighty, search function (on all vendors would be nice)

That skill was a bit silly, I mean, on a ritualist? They are blind already, they should be immune to blind IMO.
I totally agree with the idea of new equipment slot: “Power Glove” implanted to game to address the lack of sigils on 2-h weapons.
This glove should have no stat, easy to get, can always be equipped, and only has effect when you’re using a 2-h weapons.
There should be 3 types of “Power Gloves” to address the PVE issues:
One with no level restriction and can only put minor sigil.
One with level restriction of lv39 and can put minor and major sigils.
One with level restriction of lv60 and can put all types of sigils on.It is by far the easiest solution to address the sigil problem of 2-h weapons, since all developer need to do is adding a new equipment slot that only works for 2-h weapons.
Sounds easy in theory, but depends on how the game is coded. They would have to make sure that no other offhand could be used, not to mention recoding how 2-handed works atm (unhiding that second slot and allowing a power glove to work with it)
As to the power glove itself, why not make it so you can always use it, wether you have 2-Handed or a 1 hander. This would open up those unarmed thieves 3 skills for use (the power glove would have 2 blank skills when used with a 1 hand main hand thus hiding the 4 and 5 skills of your weapon swap offhand).

You can see for yourself by setting the game to 1024×768 and setting your UI size to large. You get tons of overlapping UI

From what I have heard no, it used to be a pain in the rear, as the first cripple would eat all 5 charges and give 1 imob. Might need more testing but I think this is now fixed. Also, if the cripples did eat the arcane power, you could just use the skill away from your opponent (they usually aren’t silly enough to stand in it) then port. If you have a thief around you can start this from stealth.
+ 40% damage reduction
I would play my ranger if I could play my GW1 ranger here, no pet, all traps lots of damage

remove poison when I jump
remove burning when stop drop and roll
remove stun and immobilize by shaking my mouse
remove bleeding by standing still for 1 second
Remove weakness by moving
Remove chill by running through any fire fieldsAll of that sounds as logical as removing blind on spontaneous auto attack that is aimed at nothing.
So, if you were blind … how would you know if you attack was near someone or out in the open with no one for miles? You are blind after all.

It’s not regular – I pay for battleping because the game is basically unplayable without it. Without battleping, I float around 80-110, with 150-200 spikes… which for a thief, is unacceptable. If my skills don’t fire within 50ms of when I hit them, I might lose half my health.
I’m willing to accept maybe I’m missing something/ at fault some of these times – but 6 times? I didn’t miss something 6 times – something is definitely up.

I sit about 300-400 with 500-600 spikes. (200 on a very very very very very very od chance, usually 250). 250 with Battle ping, which I refuse to pay for.How do you play? That’s not me being an kitten, I’m honestly curious. As a thief, I don’t have the luxury of an ability not going off til .3 – .5 seconds after I hit it.
Suck it up and wish Australia had better net. I play ele, so you can probably see my frustration with most of the skills being affected by lag. There are times when I press the change attunement button at least 3 or 4 times wondering if I’m actually stunned because I just can’t change attunement. I used to be able to smash most D/D ele build, then I ran across a d/d who was not lagging, the difference, its like god mode activated. So fast, so amazing, nothing like I’ve ever seen before.
Then I versed Colosux’s boon rip thief in a duel tournament and he was moving so quickly I had no idea what the hell was going on lol. I can get no where near that movement on my thief

If you are crazy enough, you can change out the arcane shied for arcane wave or blast to apply another 1 second imob, for 2 seconds of leeway, or a backup for condition cleanse

Did you know, runes of lyssa are the only condition duration runes (+10% all conditions duration)?Necro/ranger/mes stack allot of bleed so krait and those lot are solid from time to time.

Take lava font, untraited this skill has a 6s cooldown with an additional 15s cooldown if you aren’t playing “fire mage” which everyone knows doesn’t work. 21s cooldown .
21 second cooldown? Did you even think that through? You DO understand that skills keep on recharging even if a player is not inside that attunement, right?

Retail, for those that seem to not know, hits people with multi skills for each ‘hit’ of that skill wether it is aoe or not. Ele sceptre Air 1, P/P thief unload etc etc. Big burst hits are punished much less as the hit once and take 1 retal damage.
Thanks for the suggestions, I mainly played thief and mesmer before ele. I guess it’s just disheartening to lose to a ranger just pressing one button the whole time =/

I think that hotjoins could use some change to the rewards system. Currently the only game type available is Conquest yet you earn much more glory playing Team Death match with those trying to play Conquest.
Some ideas:
Reduce the amount of glory and rank gained from killing by 50-80% (2-5 per kill).
-Or- Increase the glory per kill by 50% but split the glory of a kill between the killers. If 8 people are responsible for your death, they all get less glory for the kill but if 1 person defeats 1 person then they get more then they currently would.Increase the amount of glory for playing the Conquest game type. How? For each point your team controls, earn x glory per x seconds. The more points you control the more glory / rank income you earn.
Add incentives such as: Earn double glory / rank when capturing an enemy point while you have an ally on another point in your control.
Boost the win bonus for players that worked towards the objective and not just mindlessly zerged.
Basically they need to push more for the game type the want us to play, and reduce the Zerging TDM that people are using to farm rank.
You are correct. This was a technical drawback from the initial implementation of the system that we did not have the bandwidth undo. In order to do I now would require a significant rework of many other things. Not something I would rule out but something we would weigh considerably which means don’t expect it soon.
What if the two-handed weapons used the off-hand slot to acchieve the same goal? Do the current systems support equipping a second sigil on the “empty” off-hand slot and have it count towards the main weapon?
The upgrade is tied to the item so that is not possible.
Hmm, what if you could put a second weapon in the offhand slot (a second 2 handed weapon) but not count its stats but count its sigil.
I would like to see 2 handers get 2 sigils, and allow for 2x active sigils to be equipped as my understanding is that only 1x active sigil is allow atm due to 2 handers having 1 sigil.
Server numbers above 100 are 5v5 instead of 8v8. Try those instead. You can even create a filter to just show you 5v5 servers.

You know in WoW there is an option called “Select nearest enemy PLAYER” I bound to Tab. It’s actually the number 1 thing Im missing in this game.
Me too. I also miss the working nameplates that can be customised to remove pets totems and mirrors. Though, seeing through walls with them was BS

When using the smallest UI you can’t sizethe mini-map big enough. I would love to be able to have it sizeable to a quarter of the screen either up or across and even have some transparency to it.
Or the GW1 map, U for default binding, that was a good map.

That happens when you shift click on an icon on the map. You have to click beside it. That includes character icons and the point icons, frustrating.
You know how kills starting at the beginning of the game through stealth are pretty lame? As in, getting instagibbed immediately with little counterplay?
Alright, now imagine that without having any clue that the other team has access to stealth. You couldn’t even preemptively position more defensively at a midfight, causing that to have the stealth opener to have even less counterplay.
That’s just one of the many reasons knowing the other team’s composition makes for more interesting games. I’m not saying I want a constantly rotating team comp — people changing every time the other team changes — I’m saying I want to be able to make an informed plan based on the other team’s comp. Do they seem to have a farpoint assaulter? A solid backpoint? Access to stealth at the start? That sort of thing.
That is a stealth stacking and balanced problem. Using it as an excuse for knowing what you are up against before the game starts is a little far fetched.
Also, you will know they have a stealthier or 5 when the ready count down is over and the characters are locked
