I am sorry that is SIMPLY BS. You can spec into insane condi removal on a warrior. you simply don’t want to because you want to not just do well against something like a condi necro, you want to dominate with no counterplay by being immune to condi all the while pummeling them with hammer/gs.

Warrior’s Balance system design is simply poor.
You either can make a build which has insane party support along with condition removal, and that build is with longbow only.
If you choose to drop longbow and play with melee weapons, may it be gs, axes, shield, swords or even hammer, Berserker’s stance is mandatory, because current condition removal availability is insufficient.

Take a notice that any changes which apply to PvP will also apply to WvW.
As proposed change to Berserker’s change may have a reason to be done, it still needs to follow with a way to give a sufficient condition cleansing without it.
And here the best solution would be to change Burst sync with CI to make it activate after spending requested amount of Adrenaline despite hitting a target or not.

Otherwise, like I have mentioned already multiple times, Warrior will become a rag doll for condi build users.
If you cannot see it, then your knowledge of the class builds and mechanics is poor.

As to what the other person is saying; first of all, most warriors these days spec into the stances trait, so it is 10 seconds not 8, And yes, if you run power/cc then in many cases this is more than long enough to decide the fight. Since the update, a power build can down ANYTHING quicker than that if unchecked.

I cannot understand how going stance spec does change anything.
Going for additional 2 seconds on stances simply makes you more vulnerable to conditions, because you give up on Cleansing Ire which design is poor but still give you a chance to remove conditions from yourself.

It is baffling to me that you are not even defending berserker stance as such. You are defending the fact that it has no counterplay. Making it pulsing resistance would essentially only change something against condi necros – a matchup that is currently HEAVILY skewed in the favor a warrior (if they are power then they just pop berserker and go to town with GS and hammer).

It’s not about defending, it’s about a sole fact how Warrior is designed and how every melee power spec is forced to stick to it.

If you cannot fathom how turning it into a boon will skewer Warrior’s power builds in PvP and WvW then, once again, poor knowledge.

I’m not comparing them no. I’m telling you that choosing to ignore CI and then saying necro has tons of cleanses through landing skills is a double standard.

What is double standard?
First thing didn’t land due to blind/evade and you can drop another one.
Warrior has to build 30 adrenaline again and still wait for cooldown on Burst skill to go off.
So, how can you call it double standard?
Elaborate.

Untraited, none of them are unblockable. Not sure where you got that from.

And so what if traited. Still you have range, homing system and GTAoE on Staff.

There is a reason why Necromancer is the best counter against conditions.
Stop fooling around.

By your logic necro would die to all of these classes too, Seeing as their transfers all have to be hit to transfer.

How would they by my logic?
Putrid Mark, Plague Signet, Deathly Swarm and if all of those fail, you still have Consume Conditions or Well of Power.

Are you really playing Necromancer?

Lets take a look at them all individually. Engineer, mesmer and thief all have lackluster condi cleanse, Warrior already has more.

Are you talking about Shoutbow? Then yes.
Talking about melee? Of course not.

Medi Burn gaurd has smite condition which is just 1 condi and a full cleanse on 48 sec cd. Warrior has condi cleanse on weapon swap (Significantly lower cooldown than smite condition) a full cleanse on a 36 sec cd. You already have more than a burn gaurd with that alone.

Guardian also has condition removal on Virtue if traited, has tons of heals and blocks. And on top of that, Guardian has higher dps than Warrior.

That’s already half the classes in your list that have less condition removal than you without factoring in the double resistance you would have which would effectively make you able to control the burn from a medi burn gaurd anyway.

You still don’t realize that Resistance is useless against condition spec due to enromous time window between Resistance cooldown and condition restack/duration refresh.

You simply don’t realize that against any condition spec class listed above, Resistance only delay you being stomped. It doesn’t even give you a chance to fight against condition spec player, because you’re also eating soft CC such as Cripple, chill – disable your only way to remove conditions by applying Blind, and rekt your dps by applying Weakness.

Unless you see them coming and pre-activate zerker stance that burn is still going to chunk most of your health, With resistance it’s less of a passive activation and more of a “Condis are going to hit hard now, i should use resistance.”’

I’ll rather get 3 stacks of bleed, torment and burn, than drop down right after Resistance goes off.
You know what Confusion is?
It hits you each time you use a skill.
Decent Engi and Mesmer will easily drop 12 stacks of it – that’s 2.7k per skill usage in your face. Burst skill – 2.7k. Heal skill – 2.7k. Utility – 2.7k. Gap closr – 2.7k.
Count here also burn, bleeds and torment which tick alike in various stacks.
1 second will drop you down by 7k at least.

Also PU condi mesmer basically kills anything 1v1 given enough time but is completley useless in conquest.

I can’t imagine a Necromancer losing to PU Mesmer.
Even with 300ms, PU Mesmer simply stand no chance.
And all you need is Staff, which is glued to every single Necromancer.

Considering that Necromancer is No.1 of course.

Whilst i agree necro has a ton of removal, You have to land your removals (Just like cleansing ire, which we seem to be ignoring because it requires you to land skills.)

I would also argue that for removing conditions from one self, Ele, Ranger and gaurd are all above thief anyway.

Are you really comparing Condition Removal between necromancer and warrior?

Especially when most of the “send conditions from yourself to target” are unblockable?

Fine, if you love to qq about it then, give me a hint how Warrior is supposed to deal with your cool change against:
- PU Mesmer(Confusion, Torment, Burn, Bleed)
- P/D Thief(Confusion, Bleed, Torment)
- x/T Guardian(Burn)
- S/S+LB Warrior(Bleed, Burn, Torment)
- Condimancer
- Condition engineer(Burn, Confusion, Bleed, Poison)
- Condi Ranger(Bleed, Poison, Burn)

Take into account that every single class listed here, has viable condition removal skills and also available Blocks, evades, teleports, blinds, stealth.

Now, give me a hint how to time and successfully remove conditions from myself by landing a Burst skill with CI trait equipped.

Let’s say, your proposed change gives 10 seconds of Resistance.

Stealth is a cheap defensive tool promoting passive gameplay with low risk and no counterplay.

So are blocks invulns and immunities. If you really want to complain about passive gameplay maybe you should talk about warriors.

I personally find Guardians worse.
But it’s debatable after patch what has become of Thief class.

I think the opposite, Rampage is actually somewhat useful now. It’s zerker stance that makes it unstoppable.

I’m not sure why everyone gets resistance but warrior is an exception to the rule.

Because after Adrenaline changes, Warrior has no viable Condition removal and Berserker Stance fills that gap which temporarily gives immunity to all conditions.

Comparing it other classes, Warrior is the most vulnerable to damage conditions.

Shadow’s Embrace and Ranger’s stolen thing are really good.

Shadow’s Embrace got nerfed hard. It’s only damaging conditions now and the second kinda needs a ranger to be present which speaks for itself.

I also heard in stealth procs now only work after 3s of stealth not as soon as you enter but haven’t tested it as I’m having fun on other classes atm before everything fun gets nerfed into the mediocrity mud.

Taking into account amount of ways for Thief to enter Stealth, and “cooldown” for overall Stealth system, it still places Thief as No.2 class with Condition Removal ability.
Considering that Necromancer is No.1 of course.

I think it should apply Resistance instead of functioning as it currently does. It adds counterplay, interacts with boon duration, and also makes Warriors immune to currently present conditions on their bar. It’s win-win-win across the board.

And you’ll see how badly Warrior performs vs condition builds.

Your comment on Staff necro is so silly that’s honestly………..not worthy the comment.

Warrior’s balance at this moment is in a place that if you’ll try meddling with utilities as in nerfing them, then Warrior from stable balanced position will go down the toilet.

The only builds you’ll see will be Shoutbows and hambows.

So, if it’s going to be like that, then I demand a class name change from Warrior to Shouter

Eh, Cleansing eir isn’t viable? I would argue that was one of the strongest pre-patch condition removals, They also have shouts, warhorn.

Let’s define “viable” regarding how it does work.

Condition removal per Adrenaline Bar spent.
And here’s a trick – you need to hit the target, or at least deal 0 damage for Cleansing Ire to activate.
If target will evade, become invincible/immune, then you will lose all Adrenaline, get skill on cooldown, but Cleansing Ire will not activate and cleanse condtions from you.

The only exception is Longbow.

I mean shoutbow pretty much stopped any full condi build entering the meta.

Because Shoutbow is silly.
You have a rune that remove 1 Condition from 5 targets when Shout skill is being used. Makes Shake it Off pretty OP now. And here we have a Shake it Off trait as well.

Longbow Burst skill is GTAoE skill which is the only exception to activate Cleansing Ire – you hit the ground and skill is being fully activated which is a pre for CI activation.

I don’t think the fact that conditions counter warrior more is a good enough reason for it to have an unremovable version of resistance. It’s globally strong against ALL condition classes, Converting it to resistance would give classes that can remove boons a way to counter it, While not making it globally useless. Even having it pulse would be better than what it currently is.

Necro lacks stability, so naturally anything cc heavy is it’s weakness (Hammwarrior, Generally any mesmer.) I would be the first to admit that an un-removable 8 second stability is broken though.

A condi necro has no way to interrupt nor do anything from a warrior for 8 seconds.
This becomes a lot more noticable on the new map when the only way to interrupt is via CC.

Converting Zerk stance to Resistance would be the biggest nerf Warrior would get and would turn this class into a Free kill for every single Condition Build available in game.

What makes Warrior put a fight vs Condition builds is exactly that utility skill which temporarily prevents any condtions to be applied to Warrior.

Turning it into Resistance would only nullify the damage for that period of time, and still would allow Condtion Build users to apply high stacks and keep stable duration of Conditions on Warrior.

Including how CI does work, like I said, Warrior would become a Free Kill.

And making Longbow mandatory just for CI isn’t something that should happen.
Hence, no weapon should become mandatory for something like that.

As Mesmer yday I got 5.3k crit from 3rd chain of AA from thief, and I have 2.4k Armor.

To be frank, problem isn’t damage, but patch rekt very hard the whole power/armor stats and that need a solid rework in Player vs Player formula.

Knowing Anet, they’ll make another balance with readjustment of those stats 6 months later, because why would they do it now.

Do you have a powerful CPU? (graphics might be fine, but game calculations are done on the CPU)

Can you test with another more powerful computer from your home? or, nearby residence?

It’s not about CPU, or GPU.

Almost every boss looks like on the screenshot(it’s Taidha).
Great Jungle Wurm is even worse.
Karka is beyond understanding.

It’s not our ISPs that are at fault, but NCSoft’s server infrastructure which is leased by ArenaNet.

But ArenaNet of course always says, but always – it’s your ISP, not us.

I don’t know if it gives better mining results apart from the sprocket drop, but according to my quick math you’d need more than 5000 sprockets to break even on the gold you spend on the pick itself. I don’t know how small the “small chance to drop a sprocket” is, but maybe there are easier ways to get gold

After a week, it did pay for itself.

Except revenant.

I did play that class on 1st Beta only.

From what I know for now, Revenant still isn’t 100% available for Beta tests.
It lacks for example Sword weapon for main hand so we don’t know what skills it has – maybe a leap like Warrior does – mobility.

Hence, we still have no access to all specializations for it, so we don’t know if it has a passive trait for +25% movement speed or Swiftness like Engineer.

For now, Revenant is disappointing because it’s Power Build is very weak and is too much focused on Condition Damage.

Takes me all day to get a few gold so yeah it is expensive.

You can purchase Berserker Exotic Set of every type for few gold and Badges of Honor.

Mind only that you cannot extract them for runes later – so don’t put expensive ones in there.

Or Karma. Like 42000 each ?

I’m not sure if there is a full set – I remember that there were sets which missed a piece for full gear set of specific type.

Tho, would rather invest karma in exotic backpack for the time being – cheapest and fastest way is to make Quiver in Mystic Forge from Vicious Claws, if we’re aiming for ascended trinkets.

But yes, exotic wise, there are multiple sources of obtaining at least berseker gear set really cheaply.

But like I said, that gear cannot be extracted for Ectos and runes.

Why is warrior damage so high?

You know what’s also sad about this statement? Mesmer can also reward bad players cause there’s nothing hard about doing 10k instant cast burst as you reposition and evade. Same concept can be applied to Ranger if it gets buffed or DPS Guardian.

At least Rampage itself already has a lot of counter play and outside of Rampage, Warrior has a lot even more. Those three classes that I mentioned can just spam evades while dps-ing and call it skill really.

Clicking 1,2,3,4,5 is max what bad players can do.

Using at least on mediocre level Class specific skills, like Shatter skills is way out of their league.

That’s why Rampage works fine for them, but rolling with Mesmer, Engineer or Guardian is basically impossible.

Well, every class can be fast.
Matter is what you want to do in PvP and how you can contribute for your team.

When I go for full bunker/heal Guardian I’m focused on sitting on the point and not getting out of it – so I don’t chase people.

I support teammates with heals, boons and additional ressing from downed states – sometimes with little bit of dps, but somehow I turn out to be focused soon enough anyway.

There are some builds that shine over the other ones and make them look OP.

That’s where Necromancer comes – a balance indicator.

If Necromancer stomp that build, then it’s a gold proof that everything is balanced.

Right, we now have Blind on every shatter skill which synergises well with IP being baseline. Also we have Daze and Stun on demand and if we take Power Block, Weakness is also applied at an Interrupt. We have Distortion and teleports – but guess what: everybody is complaining about one or more of our defence mechanism.

That’s the point.

We can burst and die instantly after that, but I think thats not exactly brilliant.

We don’t have to take all These skills, but usually it’s easier to survive the increased damage of everyone if we can evade and mitigate it. I for myself run interupts and two stealth skills (torch and decoy) and so far I did pretty well against other classes. Problem for me are conditions, but I’m working on that.

True.
I personally play Mantra of Recovery – 3 casts + 2x condition heal per cast.
I don’t use decoy because stealth isn’t needed for my survival, that’s why I did pick up Mantra of Concentration and finally Mantra of Distortion.

I have as Elite, Stealth or Moa signet, where still I barely use any of them because situation doesn’t call for it.
I’m still equipped with one utility skill of choice which depends mostly on who’s in enemy team – but still Blink is my favorite.

But as mentiont before give CS an ICD of 10s, let BD be evadable and blockable and tone down the stealth Duration given by PU – thats plenty to make it easier for other classes to foresee the burst and kill the mesmer.

I’ll say that Stealth isn’t a problem.
Burn and Confusion damage is way too high.

And in WvW, as it may not be the part of this forum, still, Confusion hits for ~3k per skill usage.

It’s worse than Torment.

Those two conditions need to be reworked and despite the Stealth length, PU Mesmer no longer will be a build which require basic pvp skills to contribute.

But that’s my pov.

I honestly don’t know what to suggest. I mean, Mesmer (and Thief for that matter), do need some form of survivability, in this case it being stealth, otherwise they’d just get destroyed and be farmed for points. Hopefully Anet can figure out some way to balance it out a bit.

They already did.
Mesmer since Balance patch is no longer Stealth dependent to survive.

Its faceroll and too strong, top players MAINING MESMERS acknowledge this. Aswel as any other top tier players. Why do u think some top teams r even running 2 mesmers?

I barely play mesmer but wow, Im boss and esports level now. With my what, 200-300 games or so? Obvious broken and faceroll or am I just THAT good?

It’s none of my concern why some team run 2 mesmers, 3 eles, 5 necros, or 4 rangers.

I don’t know if you’re good or bad, I honestly don’t care.

But I know one thing for sure and it’s a daily bread on forums – bad players whine for nerfs loudest and most often.

As you may call something OP within mesmer, it’s already been said and proven that’s not the only class that needs to be looked into.

At this moment every single class has something that makes it OP, or however you want to call it.

Disabling traits one by one only destroy balance further and annoy players who are more and more fed up with Anet’s Class Balance behavior and daily keep leaving Ranked and Unranked – and do dailies in Rankfarm games.

If Mantra Mesmer is so OP, then what is Static Engineer in PvP now?
Bounce 3~5k crits with 6 cd on it?
What about Guardian with torch, where burn apply is almost permanent and self sustain for Guardian only gets better and better with each balance update?
What about ele which burn wise is same as Guardian and sustain is not much worse?

Mantra build wasn’t even viable for such a long time, now it’s useful and dps wise and sustain wise bring Mesmer on pair to other classes.

Also, if like someone already said
- If a newbie rolls Mesmer and own an old player – shame for an old player.

If you play your class long enough and know how other classes work and how your own class work, how mechanics of maps and game work. And then comes some newbie who does play 20 matches with Mesmer and owns you like a baby, then certainly, we have L2P issue here.
Because Mesmer doesn’t have ability to eat 20k HP in one go alone.
Unlike some other classes.

Guess Anet want to pigeon hole Ranger into LB + GS, survival build, and make everything else worthless, so they no longer need to balance around other things anymore. Oh, even by doing that, Ele and Mes still pwn you 24/7.

Never see a company has such a toxic passion of destroying classes. All the lies and empty promises for 3 years for this.

This is the outcome created by lack of proper communication with playerbase.
As if it’s hard to invite developers responsible for certain classes to speak with community and list balance propositions in Pros and Cons list.

Also, like I have mentioned before – as if it’s also hard to allow players freely test upcoming changes themselves and create feedback – it doesn’t have to be PTS.
Could use feature similar to HoT or create an instance on the server with pvp map and monitor at certain time how traits and overall changes behave.

This would allow to narrow bug possibilities and waste of time for fixing after release.

I’m sure that there would be plenty of players who are experienced enough to test classes efficiently in the middle of balance development.

Where in the heaven did you see trap ranger is ever in the META?
Are we playing the same game? They’ve been trashes for 3 years aside from WvW roaming.

Also they DID NOT BUFF US. They nerf spirits and traps, 2 of the already unviable utilities! They even kill condition ranger which relies on off-hand radius trait, by removing it entirely. Ironically condition Ranger is never in the Meta post April 2014 patch because they’re sub-par in almost anything aside from 1 v 1.

Rangers have been in trash tier since 2014, and now they’re still trash tier zzz…

Grab traps + torch and you’ll see how people melt down.

Even in PvP.

And it’s aoe, not single target.

So the inevitable Taunt nerf has come, and rather quickly.
They even add internal CD on traits I never really bother to pick anyway lol…
Oh LotF would never be picked by any none SB spec ever, and SB is still a crap weapon.
(10% increased duration for 4 secs on dodge lol , while other classes get 30%~100% constant condition duraiton)

So Mesmer is ok to have blind that ignores evasive/invulnerable target while taunt shouldn’t lol. The double standard is real.

Yet, no fix to any of the Mesmer or Ele OP traits lol… (PU and blind shatter say hi)
No fix to our off-hand, traps, and spirits problem. No fix for the pet’s missing attribute.
All it has is nerf after nerf on an already under-powered class.
GG Anet for slapping in ranger’s face once again. Guess ranger is really Anet’s least favorite profession of all time.

Ranger Trapper > PU Mesmer

I’ve took to holing up and just not talking anymore.

This is the first MMO community that has made me feel so un-accepted when I’m trying to learn that I’ve given up trying to do anything team-based.

You certainly didn’t take part in many mmo communities.
But sure, it’s your opinion and you have your own standards.

I’ve been told twice now that GW2’s community is a fun-loving community, friendly, and that trolling is a minor thing here.

Because it is.

Tried sPvP, and one of the worst things I heard was “I want to slit your childs neck open and use it like a sex toy.”

So much drastic that I’ll lend you my sentimental shoulder to cry on.
Can’t you move on?
First timer in internet?

Tried WvW: If you don’t have a level 80, shut up and get out. General consensus from the commander I was stuck under.

Go EotM then?
Borderlands, OS and EB are end game maps which require gear and max level.
In EotM you can tag along after commander farm some loot and karma and level up.
Your only focus in EotM is to keep your speed by tagging on swiftness buffs given by others and tagging mobs for loot.

Tried dungeons: “Level 80 only, speedruns only.”

Since day one. Being low level makes you almost 1 shot in those instances.
Still surprised?

So, Now I’m doing the single player thing. I refuse to talk to anybody, even people who talk to me, and just sit around grinding and doing the personal story, once I’m finished with it, I’ll quit the game and that will be that. The community is so toxic and crude that I -DON’T WANT- to be a part of it. I’ve never met a single kind person outside of a few “Nice” fourm posts and one fellow roleplayer.

You didn’t get the welcome candy and gave up?
Hopeless child.
I play alone since my day one in this game and have no problem communicating with other players and enjoy every single part of content even with random players if that specific content requires it.
There are even specific guilds with maxed missions which offer free weekly missions no matter if you’re a solo player or pvp guild or whatever else.

To all of you that trolled, bullied, and just generally kitten on me? GG. You win. I won’t darken your /map or /team chat. May you rot in them.

My only problems with Female Human armor I have:
- Leggings – too many skirt like
- Boots – too many making a leg 3 times bigger
- Shoulder – way too big and too many are asymetric -and that applies to medium and light armor as well.

I feel quite kiddened by the WvW development as well.
But you have to consider that it takes a massive amount of work to fix those issues. You need to look through millions of lines of code to even locate the issue. Not to mention all the effort to fix it. Especially when it’s something with direct impact on hardware. Think about all the things that happen simultaniously when 2 zergs rush against each other. All the skills, all the effects. And all of this has to be optimized to make sure that everything runs smooth.
I just give them my good will there, and hope that they at least fix everything with the addon.
(And also I guess that there are not many coders assigned to WvW since I suppose that there is not a lot to do)

That’s not an excuse.

They could reverse it back, and allow people to enjoy it without queues.

If they wanted to test it, then what’s the problem to do it on live servers?

Notify community that they will run stress test for new stability change let’s say once or twice a week?

Dropping such event on EU during their working hours is possible because EU enters prime time and WvW is filled and blobs do clash one another constantly.

But that’s the thing, no one gave a single pig about it.
Fixed few lines of codes or whatever lowered cap and as long as it doesn’t lag spike too often is fine.

Can always blame our ISPs no?

I’m ticked off each time they break something and leave it as it is because it’s fine for them.

In my opinion, Anet with it showed their “We don’t care” sign.

Stability update did brought a wreck in server stability and massive clashes did lead to massive server lag spikes – which happen even now.

I believe it was Colin who said that there are some errors within the code that max the server CPU usage which cause lags across whole WvW server.
With this, they decided to lower the WvW cap to lessen the load just temporarily and fix the issues within the code.

And here’s where that sign appears.

Since they didn’t succeed with fixing that problem, Anet should remove the cap and reverse Stability change back as well, until it will be patched and fixed.

But such move never has been planned to do and looks like they’re not interested also in fixing that issue.

Big, Middle, Finger, to WvW Players.

That’s the way to go.
