I see your problem here kBoom and I can understand your frustration. It’s clear that something should be done so that guilds do not get unintentionally fragmented during transfer.
However, the goal of this population change was to spread players more equally across the servers and I think that it has succeeded (to some degree) in this regard. Even though as you clearly point out there are associated problems.
It failed miserably.
Making people transfer from T?1 to T2/3 max is a fail.
Zero incentives and advertisements for transferring to bottom servers.
And what we need is to make part of T1/2/3 servers to gtfu to bottom servers and try to maintain 50/50 ratio.
Also, lock transfers for each account not once a week but maybe once a quarter or half a year.
Implement transfer controls.
And voila, it’ll be better tenfold.

Why not allow people to hit as many targets as many jump under your blade?
Because WvW blobs and PvE would be broken with unlimited targets. Not to mention balancing ‘on hit’ or ‘on crit’ procs.

Blobs wouldn’t charge mindlessly and would have to dodge and avoid lot of things. Right now no one cares because everything is set on 5 targets and aoe it mitigated on whole blob when it moves.
And PvE broken? Hardly can pull lot of mobs since all areas are mixed with range + melee – aggro 5 range and you’ll die while tanking melee.
There was a very good Mantra change while back ago, which made Mantra spec viable.
But devs reverted that change couple hours after Mantra Mesmer stomped celeddele in tourney.
Sadly, don’t expect any changes in this aspect or any answers for the next 5 years.

I had a match last night, 3 eles and a mes on my team, with me as a Mes main. Before the match begun I had to DC because my kid woke up. After dealing with her logged back in, entered the match late, and we still won 500-100 -_-u
Oh yeah, because there is no way that enemy team is made of bad players.
Enemy team is always filled with good players and they lose only because of some Rune, sigil or cat’s sneeze.
They should rework this rune a kitten
ange 4th stat for 25% chance on struck to grant might, fury and swiftness for 10sec(20sec cd).
It’ll finally be viable and at the right spot to rival Strength and Hoelbrak.

My 3 cent regarding this event and Anet’s way of “improvement”.
Either Anet got inside couple of NCSoft Wannbes, or they’re trained to be one of them.
As it is obvious that Anet is under NCSoft, doesn’t change the fact that even just few years ago you didn’t do kitten stuff that NCSoft does.
Lately you do, and lot of your decisions and work simply shows that you’re becoming more and more like NCSoft – and that’s very bad.
I suggest stopping becoming NCSoft wannabe and follow the path like you used to do many years ago.

A team of 3 turrets makes it to finals and it’s nerfedd the next day but now a team of 5 d/d show up and WINS the esl tourney and nothing happens I guess the community has to balance the game because the debs fail to.

Being unable to kill turreter as ele or war back in that time showed the quality of ESL.
I usually don’t care about it since I run max damage (meaning I kill faster than a stomp) but the Ele downed bug bugs me. Goes from 20-80% hp - but then my Eviscerate does 10k and we are all good again.

The biggest problem is there would have to be at least 3 servers, for WvW and even then they’d be fighting each other all the time.
Are there enough active AU/NZ players to populate 3, or 6 servers?
I guess it would be better for them to have a SEA infrastructure.
Problem lies how many people play from SEA, and if releasing Gw2 there, would actually make it popular enough to open 6-9 servers for wvw.

Condi mesmers aren’t that strong in PvP arena – they shine in wvw.
Eles are underpowered and need to be buffed, that’s a solid fact.
Matchmaking is working just fine and leagues won’t be a problem.

No eles, 5 eles, doesn’t matter what’s the number, it still part of team diversity.
And balance every 6 months is quite a frequent time window for balancing classes.
Usually it’s once a year.

i see on daily basis that either my team or my enemy team writes things like “gg premade, afk premade waste of time” and i honestly doubt that any soloqer enjoy it when they lose another match with 500-200~ because they face a 3-5 premade party
ps: and in worst case , some players dont even start a match because they see they are playing vs full premade , its not so often like the rage quits mid-match but i seen it serval times

Not really. Games are based on having fun. There are many lame things which can be learnt to play against but it might not be fair and it might not be FUN to counterplay certain things = everything in the game.
This idea that anyone who says something is lame/op has l2p issues is hilarious to me. I had everyone tell me that on these forums for 2 years even when I was the highest rated solo player in the entire game, with the best MMR. People still told me l2p.

It took over a year for them to fix turret engis by simply making them susceptible to condition and crit damage. I’ve spent two years hoping there’s pretty much nothing left.
