Or the very least an option to show the bags one by one / by type. So bags of the same type would be lumped together.
Considering each use of the kit costs around 39 silver at the current conversion rate, highly unlikely. Compared to the Master Salvage kit I would say the 80% there will win the day in the end.
Alright so we’re on the same page, but then you should understand yourself why the conversion ratio will never be “good enough”.
The problem is, if the conversion rate is 100 gems = 5g two years from now, 5g might be worth the same as 2.7g is worth today, so we might want 10g for our 100 gems then. The amount of gold is not as relevant as how much in-game ‘stuff’ we can buy with 100 gems.
Which is exactly as it should work. If you could get everything in the game by spending 10 bucks on the gem store, Anet would be bankrupt in a year.
I’m sorry, but are you saying that we can get everything in the game with 21.6g? I’m not asking for 216g with USD$10, but I’m asking for something reasonable, which at my imaginary figure of 5g would be 40g. I would be quite happy to regularly convert 800 gems to 40g. At the rate it is now, I’m not the only one who’s looking at the conversion chart going lololno.
You don’t seem to get it. Let me explain again.
In terms of real money vs. purchasing power within the game, the ratio will always be “unfavorable” for you, unless you consider items that are fixed price in-game (for example Icy Runestones). It is quite certain that at some point, you will get 40g for 800 gems, but at that point prices have again inflated so that when purchasing stuff from the TP, your 800 gems will buy you the same amount of stuff it will get you right now.

Unfortunately no other use for the mystic clovers than more legendaries.
But thats about it, the only thing it does is speed up loading times, so its more for convienience than performance.
Thank heavens that GW2 doesn’t have any loading screens, right?
Well yes you don’t reall notice tesselation on creature skins, etc. But you would notice it in terrain textures. It really makes surfaces come alive.
You would also notice tessallation on human medium T3 under boob which is currently blocky as hell :P
Well yes, obviously. Some places you just do observe in more detail.
This information was data mined from the patch. Sounds like a smaller Lion’s Arch…

Not sure if mentioned yet, but sounds like a Guild Hall to me
OMG You’re right it does, finally! ^^
If you think they’re going to drop Guild Halls on us as a surprise patch you have no idea what hype means.
Hopefully you finished T1 and T2 first. Otherwise the T3 and T4 won’t count.
but instead most people are hypnotized by some long lost god … like many people on Earth. The irony.
Well at least in GW2 the gods were once real…

Ghost form is just a form to afk until the end since there are so few motes to get :P
You’re doing it wrong.
Yes I’m doing it wrong, sorry that I don’t always die first to get all the motes and have to wait [insert insane number] of seconds for them to respawn
Yes go ahead and blame the system. If you make it to the last 2-3, you should have a ton of points already if you play the game and not hide in some bush away from the action. At that point, there won’t me much time left to AFK as a ghost. If you die early, you can get a ton of motes in short time.
Hint: Don’t spend motes on the Karka unless you know what you’re doing.
g600 hands down.
THIS!! THIS!!! AND ONLY THIS!!!!
The Logitech G600 is an awesome mouse, everyone goes for razer because of brand name and advertising but this is gods gift to gaming mice! seriously try it out!
No. Everyone goes for the Naga because the buttons on the Naga are a hundred times better than the G600. Which you would have noticed yourself if you only had tried both mice.
My first question is, why don’t you change strafing to A and D and disable turning. And please do not reply that you turn with your keyboard.
Or then he already claimed his 100 points chest and just didn’t notice it and now has to wait until tomorrow to get his 500 points chest.
For $50 someone should be able to get a full set of weapon skins.
Says who?
Nobody’s putting a gun to your head and forcing you to get the weapon skins, you know?
Would be nice, but would also be tremendous work. AFAIK Warhammer did this first. You would collect lore into your book and could read it anytime you wanted after you found that particular piece of lore.
Umm… what? With those you can get 2 skins which will net you somewhere around 150 gold. That’s more than you would have got by converting those gems directly into gold, which is a lot better than what you usually get from the chests.
Make Players drop periodically mote fragments. Collect mote fragments to make complete motes.
Following a player with 10 rations is really boring and if he runs and only eats, mist forms can’t do a thing on the player.Replace Karka summoning with Ration trap.
Karka summon is too powerful and makes revenge too easy for the dead. Ration trap would make more sense and would be in-line with the player skills.
So what if that 10 ration guy is not moving from his camping spot?
There is also a theory that it is actually more likely than not, that the universe is actually just a very complex computer simulation and we’re part of it.
This is based on the assumption that any civilization, given enough time would be able to create such a simulation, which given enough time would be able to create a similar simulation within their own simulation, and that it would be very unlikely that we would indeed be the first such civilization to exist.
Now THAT’s something to think about.
Or maybe the achievements could just be mailed to you when you log in, or heck, even without logging in. How nice it would be to come back after a break of 6 months in a game and see all the achievements, rare drops and bags of coins sitting in the mail just for you! Then you could happily log out for another 6 month break, rinse and repeat!
Oh man that would make an exciting game indeed!
Yes it’s sort of easy to miss your food buff ending, even if your character actually tells you he/she is hungry.
Ghost form is just a form to afk until the end since there are so few motes to get :P
Hmm, I got second once (the last survivor being first, naturally), while being a ghost. Killing suvivors with karka’s is the only fun thing in that entire PvP scene.
This guy got 135 points and top score even if he wasn’t the last survivor. Just saying…
Price vs. performance, at least not before the new 8000 series AMD cards are out.
You could possibly get away with a GTX660 if you want to save money, but with GPU there is never too much power.
Ghost form is just a form to afk until the end since there are so few motes to get :P
You’re doing it wrong.
Razer Naga and you’ll never look back.
I managed to click the leave instance button even when there were still several items scrolling down. Just keep clicking where the icon is.
Ok in that case, either go for a H87 board and i5 4670 or a Z87 board and it 4670k. Latter option is a bit more expensive, but allows overclocking. With a good cooler you can crank ~20% more speed from your CPU.
Lol. Movement from place A to B is already way too fast in WvW. The maps should be twice the size to allow some kind of strategy. Currently it’s just a zergfest, as one big zergball can easily respond to practically any threat anywhere on the map.
(edited by Tom Gore.4035)
Unless you also get a Z87 board, you won’t get much out of the OC properties of a 4670k, so you might as well take the kitteneaper 4670.
I’m curious, did you really not find the Xeon E3-1230v3 anywhere in Croatia for a reasonable price (should be very close to i5 4670k) or is there another reason you are passing that choice?
I think they should just replace the aegis graphics with a blue field glowing on the shield, when a shield is equipped.
I wouldn’t recommend WvW as a leveling method. You will be oneshotted by many enemies.
I’m hating all of these people that say go back to wow. I also want a profession like that. Everyone who is saying that has never played wow and sees it that if you have a healer, the game is wow. I played wow for 4 years. I like the way guild wars feels but there are some things wow did 10x better.
Your opinion. I’ve played WoW and I seriously don’t want this game to be like WoW. If I want to play a WoW-like game, I’ll just playe WoW, thanks.
Nerf points for being the last survivor. Problem solved.
The budget is why I recommended him the Xeon. It has the same power as the i7, but with the price of the i5. Or should be, but it seems the Croatian dealers are ripping people off.
However, don’t listen to anyone saying you don’t need an SSD. They are people who haven’t tried to have an SSD for a system drive yet, or are just jelly because they can’t afford one.
I think you are taking this election a bit too seriously…
The problem is they keep dropping so often they’re not really “rare” and therefore could just aswell be blue or green.
However, the OP might have a misconception that when a wooden chest drops the loot in it is determined when he opens the chest. This is not the case. The item that drops is determined before the chest is spawned. The tickets and kite fortunes are not replacing your normal rare drops, have no fear.
Considering how “rare” they are, I agree.
Rigged, they already know who’s won.
(hint: they get more money from it)
I’m afraid you’re right. Slashing waypoint prices will not bring any more money to Anet’s coffer. Reduced key prices on the other hand.
And look, they did a preliminary research on it already by testing this new ticket scrap thing with the chests. Determining from the forums it’s working too.
I’ve been playing another game more recently, Star Wars: The Old Republic. That game is actually quite bad in many respects, I could write a book about how poorly executed it is…
But it does beat GW2 in one key area – it has a decent, bog-standard MMO combat system that doesn’t constantly annoy the crap out of me. It gives me player-managed action bars with sufficient slots to fit everything. Like every other MMO out there I can remember.
Determining of current player activity in each game, it seems like SWTOR’s almighty old-fashioned combat didn’t save that game, did it?
And for the record, I played SWTOR and the combat was the same old kitten I already got ten times bored with when I played WoW.
How hard it is to understand your view is entirely subjective and perhaps, just PERHAPS GW2 is as popular as it is because of its slightly different approach to combat and classes?
That hasn’t even crossed your mind, now has it?
I just keep getting better and better!
…when earning your 350th skill point…
CHLORE ISLAND!
’nuff said.
Well it’s obviously locked because the locals are trying to raise the price of electr… flour. The bags of flour.
Looks like a solid setup. However, if you want to save money, I’d go for the i5 instead of saving on the power supply (assuming you can’t find the Xeon at a reasonable price anywhere in Croatia – tell the dealers they’re ripping you off). The hyperthreading and 2M more cache won’t make much of a difference in GW2. You will save ~100€ with practically no loss on FPS.
I came to expect another whine thread about the kite achi in Obsidian Sanctum.
Left agreeing that this is a cool idea
Well word is the next living story chapter will revolve around Divinity’s Reach, which is at least a change from the LA-centric LS so far.
GvG should go to the open world. Instance them if you have to or just separate them completely other than visually from the other players.
That way there could be some use for the huge, mostly unused open world.
They can be done, but then your gear progression is done very quickly with the exotics and nothing there to look forward towards
I suggested (in a long post) a while back that ANet could kill two flies with one swat by giving guilds a possibility to buy a guild hall/base in the open world (there are plenty of unused buildings/caves that would be perfect for this) and then give them an ability to fight each other over the territories.
