Healing Spring is better but water spirit is still ok if you choose to go for group heal build instead. it’s the ranger’s option if he wants to use it or not.

seriously, i like it because it’s great for support and has good potential in 1v1.

mesmer: best troll class ever. you can choose to fight to win or just troll and leave and laugh secretly.

necro: good for support and can be a mean killing machine.

i want this build to be viable in wvw. it’s not fair that rangers excel in one area of the games only. rangers dont get invited in LFG and almost useless in wvw.

I’m sorry but this type of comments its very insulting when as ele i’m working my butt off to weaken an spirit ranger and then he summons his elite and is in god mode!

Personally i have no problem with spirit rangers except when they use the elite spirit. BUT i can see that a spec like this is easy mode. No that there is not other easy -er mode classes and/or builds but please be honest guys!

it’s because of the new heals. PU/phantasm mesmers, MM’s and spirit rangers benefited the most from the new heal skills.

spirits need larger HP pools to survive those aoe’s spammed by staff eles in tourneys.

just have sportsmanship and suck it up. spirit rangers are not OP anyway. MM’s and warriors counter spirit rangers really well. l2p.

dude, unlike a minionmancer’s pets spirits do not auto-attack. if you think you are running a thrashy build and ashamed of it then stop using it. spirits are mere signets that give rangers condition damage and boons on proc. but unlike signets, spirits die and you have to time their active effect to maximize their use. imo, a ranger using real signets are the most lame and braindead builds on a ranger.

lets discuss ranger builds that take skill to play:

BM – leave the pet on a node and kite from afar
Power Ranger – spam longbow skills while standing on top of a ledge

guys, running a squishy build doesnt make you a better player at all. you think you’re good because you killed a lot using a power build? if it werent for the bunkers on your team, you could have died before even getting those kills. believe me, i did run those builds you were talking about. this hate towards spirit rangers is completely insubstantial.

if it makes you feel better running a non-spirit build then go ahead. you wanna feel good about yourselves by calling spirit rangers thrash? just keep doing it. it does make you all happy.

these posts are hilarious. btw, teamq is infested with people using cheats right now (insta-rez, teleport and speed hacks). me and my team stopped playing teamq after we saw people using such exploits.

eles die like flies. a ranger’s pet alone can kill an ele. it’s a rule in tpvp to kill the ele first in team fight because of how squishy they are.

eles are pretty weak in pvp now. i dont know why you think an ele is even viable in pvp. go play soloq and see how people will discriminate you at the start of the match.

Now it’s apparent that you have no idea what you’re talking about… Spirit rangers are the rangers I LOVE to find on my ele because in about 3 skills I can wipe out their entire utility bar and focus on the now naked ranger.

The good: Spirit Rangers are still viable. Thank god. Mesmers are more fun to use. I’m loving my mesmer now with PU, bunkier build and the new heal skill.

The bad: Thieves are stealthing too much. Just get rid of these annoying stealth spammer already.

team arenas has a lot of teams using cheats atm. i’m getting tired of defeating necros and thieves 1v1 who can insta rez themselves.

i saw a necro inta rez himself and it was 1v1. there’s no way that a necro can instarez himself. only rangers and engineers can do that.

this is rampant in team arena. can anyone do something about this? this is hacking. and pls make a video of this if you get a chance. these people are ruining the game. i already made a thread about this but it was deleted.

a decent spirit ranger doesnt stand still waiting to get Backstabbed by a thief. rangers have good evasion/dodges rates compared to other classes and they get rewarded each dodge they make.

it depends who they are fighting against if they will use their dodges or not. fighting a guardian do not require for a ranger to keep dodging since the intention is to poison and dps the guard as quick as possible.

BM is still a strong spec imo- I have played it a lot in soloq, even after the spirit buffs/pet nerfs, and had good to great results as a home point defender. (Most assailants are confused when no spirits come up trolol)

Since the OP mentioned skill factor -I think it takes a bit more skill to play than a spirit ranger (why I stuck to bm), it still a build on the passive side- partly due the near useless active effects of the signets (no fun… t.t) commonly used in the builds.

ele already had its moment. rangers’ time has yet to come.

i think they are all testing their Diamond Skin trait.

just had tpvp with an ele from the opposing team. he became a free kill until the game ended. he was able to help his team finish us all at the first battle at midpoint but that didn’t happen again. a team that actually thinks would make killing a zerker ele top priority.

necro, mesmer and ranger are the most fun professions, IMO. i love my ranger so much. i can beat almost anyone with it 1v1.

eles need protection from his team to be effective. if you have an ele on your team, you make sure it served his purpose well before the enemy team kills him.

i understand these AP hunters. i’m fine getting 4 AP’s per day. most pvp players dont care about AP’s anyway. it does take me hours to complete all the pvp dailies and i don’t even play pve at all.

i’m just here to beat other players not mobs.

i think water spirit also heals my pet on proc. they die less frequently now that i started using this heal. i don’t need to swap pets that often anymore making it more effective in cleansing conditions from me. has anyone else noticed this?
